CrossFit Modig is an amazing gym! The workout was fun but definitely challenging, and the warm-up was super thoroughβ€”I was well prepared for the WOD. Coach Brady was excellent, with clear instruction and helpful tips throughout the workout. On top of that, the members were so welcoming and made me feel right at home from day one. It is not your super intense, aggressive, in your face CrossFit gym. I felt very welcome and was able to adapt the workout to my level. If you’re looking for a great workout and an awesome community, this is the place to be!

I was looking for a place to workout during my vacation nearby. Luckily when I searched for CrossFit affiliates, MODIG were the closest to where I stayed.
I have just finished a two week drop-in plan and I have to say that this place is amazing! the staff is kind, caring and professional. So if you're looking for a place to workout, this might be the place for you!

This is one of the best gyms I have ever been too. I spent weeks looking for a great gym after many poor experiences and after one day this place felt like home. Modig has everything you could need from friendliness from every gym member or the competitiveness to push you to get better every day. I had to leave this gym to move on with my life in another state and saying goodbye sucked, but the relationships I formed won’t be forgotten. In the time I spent there I did not have a single negative experience. David and the rest of the staff could not have treated people better. I highly recommend this gym for anyone regardless of where you are in your fitness journey and regardless of what you need. They have it all!

I'm moving out of state and one of the things I'll miss most about my time in Colorado is Crossfit Modig. I was a bit apprehensive about trying out crossfit and my only regret is not having found this place sooner. The instructors are awesome and truly care about you and your fitness goals.
They also do a great job making sure you understand the movements, proper form and will even help you scale the exercises to meet your skill/fitness level. Thank you Modig for everything - I'll miss you guys.

I was in town on business and dropped in on CrossFit MODIG. I travel a lot and drop in to a lot of boxes and I have to say that this one was one of the best I've been to. The coach and the crossfitters were very welcoming. The hospitality was awesome. The facility is nice, clean and is located in a nice retail area of Highlands Ranch. They have good equipment - including a nice Rogue olympic weightlifting bar (28mm) and nice bumper plates (not just hi-temps that are beat to hell). The drop in fee included a quality t-shirt with a sick design. HIGHLY reccomend this box. Thanks a ton CrossFit MODIG!!!

I recently joined Crossfit Modig and I LOVE it. The trainers are excellent. Even in larger classes, they provide individual attention. I switched over to CF Modig March 30th, 2014 because (owner) David had presented such a great opportunity to really enhance my Olympic lifting (My goal was to qualify for the American Open in December 2015). I had a rough time leaving my previous gym and thought I had found a gym I could call my home, and friends I could call my family. The plan was to be programmed through the lifting coach, Billie, but to lift on my own. I would be able to work around the scheduled classes - which apparently caused more problems than it was worth. I lifted on my own bar, was paying for private coaching and all it ended up being was a lot of money wasted and a great deal of frustration. I picked up my bar a week in to the new month and because no refunds are given, forfeited $180 and had to pick up a new gym membership elsewhere. I also paid for a nutrition session which I lost money on. David also killed my spirit, showing me in the end, I was a greater burden to the gym than an asset. I wish I could give Modig a great review but two months later, I'm still trying to rebuild my confidence and drive.

Also, after receiving a poor review there have been numerous "5 star reviews" show up -- a successful business thrives on the honesty of the company, these reviews are a cover up for how the business is truly run.

I have always been an active person. I have participated in triathlons, 1/2 marathons and numerous different gym classes. I heard about Crossfit Modig from a friend over two years ago. I decided to give Crossfit a try and have never looked back!! I am amazed with the results that I have seen and the overall strength and muscle that I have grown! At 37 I never new that I would be able to be in the best shape of my life! Thanks to the wonderful coaches, awesome community feel and stellar facility, I am hooked!!

I joined Crossfit Modig a little over three years ago, bored with the standard "go to the gym" routine. It has presented itself to be one of the best life decisions I have ever made. Every aspect of what makes a top notch CrossFit box is there. The Coaches: It goes beyond saying how good the coaching staff is at Modig, being proficient in movement standards themselves is only half the battle as coaches. David and the entire coaching staff are also great teachers, and teach safe movement to everyone who comes in the door. In doing so you are getting the maximal benefit out of whatever movement you are doing. If a person has an ailment coming in they are also great at scaling movements and making sure that everyone is able to reach their fitness goals. The facility: Gym floors can be gross....not so at Modig. The gym, restrooms and showers are kept clean throughout the week and given deep cleans often. Modig uses high quality Rogue Fitness equipment throughout the gym and more is added when necessary. As far as space I'd say it is just right. Not cramped but also not so big that you have huge class sizes and less personal coaching. The community: This is huge to me, I once switched gyms only to find not all gym communities are created equal. I found the other place to be snooty, uninviting and other members disinterested in anyone but themselves. I made the choice to come back to Modig, despite it not being a convenient location at the time. Part of what makes CrossFit is the community, they keep you going when you don't think you have any effort left in you, and then come back in for more the next day. To this extent the community at Modig is incredible. It gets better though, beyond the cheering for an hour a day members ask and show interest in what is going on during the other 23 hours of each day in your life. This makes not only your health better, but your life better. Your support system now stretches well beyond the walls and doors of the gym. Career opportunities and networking open up, your friend circle grows now you have more people to enjoy life with. The benefits are endless. None of this can happen unless it comes from the top though, David fosters this community along with all of the coaches, they are friends and mentors to all of us in our pursuit to live long, healthy lives.

The last thing I can say beyond any amount of stars I can click is that my life is better because of Modig. I met my incredible fiancee there, I am stronger, healthier, more confident, more humble and in general a happier human being and it all started by just walking in the door and a handshake.

When I moved to Denver from Indianapolis, my workouts had previously consisted of low intensity/long cardiovascular workouts. However, after having my fitness level measured, it wasn't as high as I thought it was. Through Crossfit Modig I learned how to diet, mobilize, and grow as an athlete. In addition, the community at Modig has welcomed me and everyone who has entered the door with open arms. I drive 30+ minutes just to go to Crossfit Modig 3-5 times per week. I wouldn't make this time investment if I could find a better place to workout.

I've been to many boxes across the country and still always compare them back to Modig. There's a reason it was voted #1 on Denver A list; the coaches are top notch, the equipment is well taken care of, the WODs and programs have a purpose on a weekly/monthly basis, and probably the most important of all is that David is a class A person and coach. He is extremely attentive to your goals and always pushes you to be better; all while keeping every Modigger safe. I can't imagine frequenting any other box other than CrossFit Modig. I look forward to our WOD everyday! Thank you David, Justin, Corey, Billie, Carrie and Annie!!!

I recently moved to the Denver area and finding a new CrossFit box was high on my to-do list. After trying out a handful of other boxes in the area, I stumbled upon CrossFit Modig and I am SO thankful I did. As soon as I walked in, I knew it was the box for me. CF Modig exemplifies what Crossfit is about. The coaches are friendly and knowledgeable and the sense of community is prevalent with their members. The box is very clean and the equipment is well taken care of.
I came into the Modig community with an outside shoulder injury and was weary as to how I would adjust. Their programming is the best I have seen in years and the coaches scale and modify to meet any level of fitness. David, Justin and the rest of the coaching staff truly go above and beyond for their members. I would strongly recommend CF Modig to every one ranging from the day one beginner to the seasoned competitor.

Modig is the jam!!! I had tried another local Crossfit gym which was fine, but the community at Modig was first class; plus the coaches are on point. The thing that stands out to me is that folks of all fitness levels and walks of life are welcomed with open arms. It doesn't matter if you are a fire breathing Froning-esque killer or a newbie named Alex that blushes when the coaches start talking about a perfect snatch, there's a place for you here.

Is starting CrossFit at 51 a good idea? It is if you start here!

To say it's intimidating to walk into a box, any box, and get started is a bit of an understatement. I had no idea what I was signing up for when it came to CrossFit. I thought CrossFit was pushing huge tires around, swinging sledge hammers, climbing ropes, running through fire and crawling in the mud. Well, I've learned it's none of that.

I like the fact that each hour is broken out into three segments (stretching, strength and stamina). The stretching/warm-up sessions get you ready to work out and include instruction on the movements of the day. The strength piece (Olympic style lifting) is challenging and the coaches do a great job ensuring proper form and safety. The stamina piece, for me, is always the toughest because it's normally a maximum effort activity in a very short period of time.

Despite being one of the "old men" of the box, I've never felt like the "old man" (well, sometimes I do when I finish behind everyone else). The coaches (David, Justin, Corey, Carrie and Annie) are personally invested in your performance and safety. You'll find the other members are friendly and encouraging. Except maybe Paulo! :)

CrossFit Modig is a great box with a great group of people, both the other CrossFitter's and the coaching staff.

If you're looking to start CrossFit (regardless of your age) or are looking to make a move to something new, start here!

Whether you are an experienced athlete or someone who has only dreamed of working out and getting fit, Modig is the place for you. There is no better place to find excellent coaching, nutritional guidance, encouragement, and friendships. The owner David is extremely knowledgeable and concerned about every individual's needs. I have been there almost three years and watched people's lives drastically change for the better, all while having a great time in a supportive community. I absolutely love Modig and would highly recommend it to anyone.

I had been doing CrossFit for a while, but I switched to Modig while in the first trimester of my pregnancy because I had heard great things about the quality of coaching at Modig. Not only did David, and the other coaches, help me stay active during my pregnancy, but helped keep me and the baby safe. Over the last year+, I've successfully bounced back to pre-pregnancy performance plus some - so much of this has to do with the quality CrossFit, lifting, and nutrition coaching that I received. I look forward to continuing to grow at Modig!

I started CrossFit at the beginning of 2014 when I was living in Kansas City, MO. I moved to Denver a few months ago and tried out MODIG since it was so close to my house. I absolutely love this box and I now attend class 3 days/week. The coaches were very welcoming and quickly made me feel at home in a new city. They push me to try my hardest, but never so much that I'm afraid of injuring myself. They are always attentive to my questions whether that be how much I should lift, or what equipment should I buy. The people who attend MODIG are what really make me love this box. Everyone is so nice and fun to workout with. We're a community and I love how people cheer you on at the end of a difficult WOD. Recently we had a girls night where I was able to meet other women who attend evening classes. This summer we also had an in-house competition and I signed up to judge since I was getting back into things after our big move. I enjoyed getting to know more people and cheering everyone on. If you're in the Denver area and looking for a box, come try out CrossFit MODIG. You won't be disappointed!

After college, I allowed myself a bit too much time to "get back on track" with my eating and gym habits, so I decided to sign up for an NPC fitness competition and hire a private strength coach. I trained with him for about 6 months, competed and did pretty well, so continued for another 6 months in order to keep my motivation going. Unfortunately, private training was getting too expensive and I really wanted to increase my endurance and coordination. Right down the street was CrossFit MODIG so I decided to try a drop in session, and have been hooked ever since. I started an unlimited membership about a year ago and have been in the gym 5-6 times per week ever since. I've been able to maintain or increase the strength I started with the private coach, in addition to adding agility, coordination, endurance and flexibility (with yoga, or Broga, sessions offered with membership). MODIG has a great community, awesome coaches, and programming that creates well-rounded athletes. Love this place and recommend anyone to drop in!
