For being "best of the west" their facilities (steamroom, equipment, etc.) only work half of the time.

This place has a family feel to it. It’s very clean. The staff are always friendly. They will get our name down if you’re a regular. The owner has asked me in the past how everything has been going? How clean it’s been? If anyone was mistreating stuff? He’s a very involved owner who runs a top notch establishment. They recently updated the sauna. The pool is great. I love how the cardio room is upstairs. There are big windows you can see the Mesa and mt Garfield and Bookcliffs. Special shout out to Cory. He’s always so happy to greet you. Molly as well. And the other girls as well. They are all so nice. Scheduled monthly classes with membership. Membership is super affordable. There is a hot tub as well. This is an older building in the valley but they keep up on everything! I love it here

Out of towner from Denver looking for a good workout after I get off work in the evenings. The facility is clean, has all the equipment needed for the average gym goer such as myself, and all the front desk staff I’ve met are very nice and professional. I really enjoy coming here! Great place!

3 years ago I came with somebody that was a member of Crossroads Fitness. I remember that time quite vividly. Due to a long-standing history of being undiagnosed with to much testosterone and not enough common sense, I was beat up from the feet up and could probably have used a checkup from the neck up. It all started with a love for motorcycles and Motocross racing. Born a thrill seeker I guess and by nature loving to take it to the limit and beyond,l it took it's toll. It wasn't a career it was just a passion. I went too hard and stayed in it to long. With a hobby like that you could understand I wasn't built for a cubicle. Besides playing hard I liked to work hard and so I worked my way up through the trade of carpentry experiencing almost every aspect. By the time I was in my mid-30s I had broken my legs seven times both ankles, a foot, a wrist, cracked a few ribs as well as my skull, dislocated a few fingers collapsed a couple knuckles. Two titanium plates, 18 screws, total knee replacements in both knees and needing a hip replacement. Oh yeah, I had just tore a rotator cuff on my left side.
I hobbled in to Crossroads North by the airport with my friend. At the desk was a tall middle age man that introduced himself as Cameron. He was the owner's son turned out. I told him that I was looking to have some operations done and I wanted to get ahead on the rehab side of things and so I wanted to see what Crossroads Gym was all about. Without even blinking he reached and got a card from behind the counter that was a unlimited monthly pass. He welcomed me in. I understood they had a pool and what came to be known to me as an Oasis. Had a pool a jacuzzi a sauna and a steam room. OMG where had this place been all my life. I came here from Texas on my way to Salt Lake City for the 2002 Winter Olympics. There's not enough space here in this review to tell you what a miracle I experienced and how I ended up here in Grand Junction. If that wasn't a miracle enough, now I had found a place to recover and add years to my life as well as life to my years. Great staff that made me feel like family. Also great people who came to the gym, many of whom I consider family now. It's not a meat market, it's not a bunch of muscle heads with huge egos strutting around. I met many others, that were also either recovering from surgeries or perhaps preparing for them. Through the water exercises I healed my own rotator cuff. I got my hip replaced, I had revision of my right knee after 23 years when they told me I was going to get 15 years out of it. I recently had hand surgery and so I'm taking a break while that heals up. But, I've said all that to say this, if you're looking for a place that has all the exercise equipment that is essential, a little piece of paradise in the pool room with all its amenities and some real down home people that you can't help but like because they're friendly and interesting. Look no further than Crossroads North. They've got water exercise classes, they have yoga, they have martial arts, they have Pilates, as well as several other classes in programs, looks like sometimes outside there's a group that may be trying to get ready for a strong man or women's competition. They've got personal trainers. They're open about 16 hours a day. They have a daycare for the kids while you work out. They've got family swim on the weekends. And there's probably a bunch of other stuff that I don't know about. So come check it out at the very least you'll get a grand tour and maybe a pass so you can come check it out before you sign up. I've never regretted it and I don't think you will either. And I have to say one more time what an genuine, amazing, positive, helpful inspiring staff they have. Turkey time right around the corner best get a jump on it now. I wouldn't wait for the New Year's Eve Rush either. With all the happenings going on in our world today the last thing we need is failing health. So my name is Charles or Chuck or hey you and I hope to see you there on the other side of my hand surgery... or surgeries πŸ’ͺπŸ˜ŽπŸ‘.

Wonderful people, great facility, easy parking. The staff go above and beyond to welcome and assist you. There are ample workout and cardio machines and free weights, and it's usually not too crowded like you see at other gyms. Ending your workout with a sauna and dip in the pool or hot tub is perfect. I absolutely recommend this place!

Great place to come workout. The staff is always friendly and awesome. I only knock it down a star because they took the racketball courts away because they wanted to sell the area off for some doctors office. Too bad I really loved using them, poor choice in my opinion.

Outstanding customer service! It's so clean everything is working, and it's way more relaxing than any other gym I've been to in Grand Junction I told Kristi the problems I have been having at Mesa fitness and she was such a big help. I will definitely be cancelling my membership at Mesa and will be joining crossroads after I get back from Corrections academy in a month. Thanks again Kristi!

Most of the staff are friendly and seem to enjoy their working roles. Management, not so much. I take pride in my work and I provide services by being respectful and humbleβ€”perhaps Molly and the rest of the β€œmanagement” should try this approach. Yes, you can continue to be defensive after reading that remark. You do it well, be defensive- that is. Suggestions of area of gym improvement aren’t a reflection of you as a person, it’s too bad that you take everything personally and react to your customers that way.

This by no means is meant to be disrespectful to anyone but this gym environment is suitable for you if you are ok with sub par out of date cardio equipment, mold lined pools and showers and drop ceilings that are about 4ft above your head while using most equipment. The free weights are fine, who needs modern free weights? A 20lb bell is a 20 lb bell. A squat rack is a squat rack.

If you’re under 50 and want to be around folks your own age you may want to seek another gym. This is no disrespect to those who belong to the gym, just an observation.

I would not recommend this gym.

Yes, I am a former customer. Verified by me :)

Staff are incredibly rude, domineering, and pretentious. Don't be fooled by these fake 5 star reviews. They are trash.
Edit: just because I am willing to point out the faults in a business does not make my reviews any less legitimate. Own up to your mistakes, you lost a customer for life and you can blame one staff member in particular for that, though the others present at the time were absolutely no help whatsoever.

I love Crossroads!!! I was a member for about a decade and took a hiatus for 3 years. I came back and it was like coming "home". Then COVID19 hit...ugh. It is wonderful to be back. But when the gym didn't charge dues during that time, sent newsletters via email, worked on improvement projects to make it even better.... You know this is a place worth driving across town for.
On a Friday night, it felt like I had the cardio room to myself. Though, there were a couple of people behind me. My only complaint is that some members don't recognize capacity phase 2 restrictions in the sauna/steamroom areas. But this has nothing to do with employees, they are friendly, amazing, and professional.
I would highly recommend Crossroads Fitness!

There is a visible goopy black mold and other types of mold growing in the seal around the pool, hot tub and sauna. After a month of going here almost every day I noticed that it wasn’t cleaned once, and if it was, they aren’t putting any effort into actually scrubbing the slippery mold (which I’ve slipped on and seen others almost fall as well) The steam sauna was my favorite part of this facility. The equipment is placed much too close to the other machines, making it a tight fit when working out. Nice staff though

Small Gym, but still a great place to work out. They have an awesome work trade program. Work 4 hours a month cleaning some of the equipment and get a free membership. It is two levels with free weights, group exercise room and a pool downstairs and cardio, mind and body studio and stretching room upstairs.

Here is a tip for those who are just starting out on weight training who might be easily intimidated by the big muscle bound He-Men grunting and groaning your ears off (which are plenty of them, myself just as guilty), they have awesome resistance machines upstairs in the cardio room where very few of the body builders ever come up to and they do a great job getting you conditioned and ready to take on the free weights downstairs.
