John's years of training and knowledge helped put together a plan that works for me and my schedule. Always friendly, but stills know how to motivate. When I wasn't doing an exercise right he explained why I should change it, and the benefits. Plus he knew what types of protein snacks would help me change my diet as well. Definitely someone who wants to help and cares when doing it.

I knew John as a work colleague when he was serving in the military, although I didn’t train with him until after he “retired” and relocated to Denver.
At age 59 I am not a “newbie” to the health and fitness lifestyle. My many previous attempts to hire a trainer were not productive for me as I never seemed to find the right person who motivated me, or who possessed the depth of exercise science and nutrition knowledge that I needed. So, despite over 40 years of “gym time”, having a trainer is a very new experience. I made the right decision with John at EverydayJOE!
Training with John I quickly appreciated his science based approach to my training. His depth of nutrition and exercise science knowledge is exceptional. John is the first person to explain to me in detail the nutrients and sugars my muscle fibers are absorbing during rest cycles between sets! John’s ability to communicate complex physiological processes in ways that I easily understand reinforces my commitment to consuming enough macronutrients, water and getting my rest, otherwise my workouts will not be productive in recovery!
While I am not at all new to fitness training I learn new things from John every time we train, especially novel exercises, proper technique and range of motion. John ensures I am exercising properly to maximize my gains while avoiding injury. I have no doubt John cares about my safety.
When you meet John for the first time you will know within the first two minutes that he is a top one percent fitness professional. John’s accomplished physique speaks to this, but even more so, his good natured optimism and uplifting personality simply makes you want to train with him. John is not the least bit intimidating, and I’ve found him to be entirely non-judgmental about me, physical or otherwise. John is a great listener, hearing me out even when I’m uncertain or frustrated with my progress. I truly believe he cares about my physical and emotional well being. Plus, John is incredibly funny! When students actually look forward to their training sessions; this combined with the trainer’s superior knowledge and experience means to me the trainer has attained top one percent status.
With my 60th birthday fast approaching I have added muscle, maintained ten percent body fat, and I am in very good health. All of this allows me to be physically active in pursuing my interests in these great Rocky Mountains and beyond. Thank you John for helping me achieve these goals, and for keeping me on track!

John is the best personal trainer I’ve ever had. His humor, positivity, and encouraging nature get me through every workout, and his tough love pushes me exactly when I need it. Not only do I feel absolutely demolished after every session, but I also leave with a sense of accomplishment I’ve never experienced before.
He challenges me in ways I truly needed, helping me push past my limits. He’s always available via text for advice and support, making sure I stay on track. His strong understanding of nutrition has also helped me build better eating habits. Since training with him, I’ve lost around 5% body fat—an achievement I’m incredibly proud of, especially since consistency has always been a struggle for me.
John is more than just a trainer; he’s someone who genuinely cares and never gives up on his clients. I know he’ll always be there to help me reach my goals.
