My 4 yr old daughter joined Fearless Motion Dance Center 3 months ago. The experience has been great as her first introduction to dance. In the few months she has joined the class, she has learned many of the ballet and tap basics and is excited for class each week. Last week the teachers invited parents to watch class. Ms Callie and Ms Bella create such a fun, developmentally appropriate environment and really know how to support each individual student. They also incorporate a workbook, Twirl, in which they learn new skills each month while building community and confidence. We’re so happy we found you FMDC!

FMDC is such a wonderful dance studio! My daughter is in her 6th year of dance there, and absolutely loves it. The teachers are so positive, kind, and encouraging, and welcome all kids of all abilities. There is a class for everyone! Bri and Callie also keep FMDC so organized and well-run. The year end show is so fun, the competition team is successful & has a great atmosphere, and other events throughout the year make it all a blast for kids & parents alike. I couldn’t recommend it more, and this will always be our dance home.

My two daughters took dance classes at Fearless Motion Dance Center over the past three years, including participation in summer camps and their well-organized competition team. They had a wonderful experience there and always looked forward to classes. FMDC has also built up a great community of dancers - my daughters made many lasting friendships through dance. My daughter likes FMDC so much it's a problem! Seriously, I told her next school year, she'll have to limit herself to ONE dance class rather than two (since she also does gymnastics, has homework, etc). Ms Callie and Ms Bri have been amazing teachers and each year-end show, even the alternative outdoor Covid-version shows, have been great. These ladies deserve their success!

We love Fearless Motion Dance Studio! Our daughter started dancing there several months ago, and she loves it. I also took an adult hip-hop class, and it was such a great time! Both teachers are wonderful, welcoming, and kind. They truly care about their students and they make their classes fun. I love FMDC! The teachers are very encouraging, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. I love how body positive they are and my daughter always leaves class with a smile, a boost of self confidence, and a "new move" to show us!! Last year, she took ballet and loved it...this year we opted for jazz virtually, and listening to Ms. Callie teach is always wonderful. She's totally pumped up and supportive to my daughter, who is doing class virtually. I honestly smile the whole hour and often times find myself dancing in the kitchen while making dinner! This is an incredible dance studio with loving, caring, nurturing teachers! My 5 year old daughter has danced here for two years now, and absolutely LOVES every minute of it! She comes out of her class obviously thrilled about having just had the time of her life.

I especially appreciate the studio owners’ care for their students. My daughter has gone through some intense health problems over the past year, and has been treated with kindness, patience, and understanding from the teachers.

During the closure, I was astonished by how much work they put into making sure the students were still able to enjoy their dance classes, with pre-recorded classes we could watch whenever we wanted, as well as live zoom classes during their class times. This was above and beyond. I am so happy they continue to thrive during these difficult times. This is a business which deserves to survive.

For perspective, my daughter has also taken classes with one of the more prestigious and established studios in Boulder, and I was not impressed compared to the enthusiasm and level of FUN Fearless Motion offers for young dancers. Fearless motion, though new, goes above and beyond in what they offer their students. Not only in terms of making sure the students are having fun, but also preparing them for the more advanced and rigorous aspects of dancing with a performance troupe.

I highly recommend trying a free class - your child will LOVE it!

Our girls have been going to Fearless Motion for the last two years and I can't say enough about how the owners and teachers have responded during COVID-19. Their safety and cleaning protocols are top notch, but they somehow still find a way to keep dance fun! Watching them pivot to continue to provide opportunities for children in our community to participate in activities has been inspiring. I have been so impressed with this dance center and all the amazing ladies who run it. They have worked tirelessly to make sure the kids who’s session was stopped by COVID, could continue to dance, practice and perform at home and eventually on stage. The hours they put into making the performance happen while still following the regulations to keep everyone healthy must have been countless. It shows how much they love what they do! They welcomed my child into the program at 10 with no experience, just a huge desire. He loves the environment there and it’s clear they care so much for their students and the art of dance.

I love everything about FMDC! My 5 year old took jazz lessons with Ms Callie. I wasn't sure she would be ready but Ms Callie is so amazing with the kids! I was impressed with how she got them engaged and my daughter always had so much fun. She even participated in the dance show and I can tell she feels such a sense of accomplishment. I'm so glad I found this center - the adult daytime yoga classes are wonderful! Bri is a fantastic and understanding teacher, adapting the class and movements to your abilities, while encouraging development and furthering skills and proficiency. Fearless Motion Dance Center is SUCH a great asset to our community! My kids have been taking Hip Hop here for over a year, and this place is AWESOME. Not only do they learn the latest, coolest dance moves, but they learn lifelong skills such as stage presence, team work, persistence, perseverance, and so much more! They come home from class each week with huge smiles because class is FUN! And up until a year ago, neither of them had ever taken an organized dance class, so if your kiddo is new to dance, don't let that stop you from giving this place a try! They will train kiddos of all ages and ability levels.

Love FMDC! I should say it’s the 4th studio we’ve experienced in some capacity since my daughters first started dancing in Connecticut when they were toddlers. Our 4th studio- but our favorite. They know how to respect the art of dance and they know how to have fun. This is a delicate balance that most studios don’t master, but I believe FMDC has done so. I feel like my daughters are actually learning the entire time, AND having a lot of fun, and it definitely doesn’t feel like our family is just another number. We even held one of my daughters’ bday parties here and it was the most seamless, easiest and most fun and unique party we’ve ever done for one of our kids.
As far as policies, yes they will ask that you come with your hair back, and for ballet- in a bun- but this is so our children aren’t distracted by hair in their eyes and so they have a healthy respect for the benefits of basic disciplines; a “uniform” reduces distraction and helps children get the most out of their time in the studio. I for one greatly appreciate the policy, it shows that the owners respect the art they are teaching and respect our time as customers. It took me a few weeks to figure out the best way to keep my younger daughter’s super thick hair in a bun, and Miss Bri even laughed with me about the trial and error.
We chose to participate in the year end show/recital and I don’t know if this was a goal of theirs or not, but Miss Callie and Miss Bri couldn’t have made it any easier on families to participate. Rehearsals and the show itself were super clear and concise. I’ve heard horror stories about recital season with other studios but our experience was awesome. We are so happy to have this wonderful dance studio in our town, sometimes I forget this is their first year because they’ve really got it together. Sky is the limit, they are the real deal!

Last Sunday I wanted with tears as our daughter performed in the BEST dance recital I have attended (in Chicago and Colorado). Our daughter has grown tremendously the past year. She was among the first group of students to join Fearless Motion Dance Center. Callie Frey brings out the best in our daughter. We appreciate the discipline and focus she teaches not only our 10 year old but she teaches me as a parent. Our daughter can't wait for summer camp and the next dance season to kick off. As Ms. Bri told me, “They are not the studio for everyone.” This was the response I was given after I raised concerns about how my 7 year old was made to feel about her hair in the ballet class. They focused only on their “policy”, and not the feelings of a young child and encouraging that young child to enjoy movement and dance. I couldn’t even talk my daughter into doing the recital by the end of it. This was a very disappointing experience, especially as I was excited to support a new, local business.

We recently hosted my daughter's 7th birthday party at FMDC. I can't recommend it enough! My daughter and her friends had a blast! They danced, played games and made a craft in addition to enjoying birthday cake. It was a perfect blend of the studio keeping the party goers busy and having fun, while allowing us to also insert our daughter's wants and personality into the party. It didn't feel like a cookie-cutter experience where were one of many parties for the day/weekend. It was a very individualized experience.
Callie and Bri were friendly, organized, professional, helpful and wonderful with the girls during the party. I would absolutely recommend FMDC for your next birthday party.

Never seen an instructor be so passionate as Callie is about her art of dance and with her students. It is awe-inspiring. The kids LOVE her classes and can not get enough of it.
