I have worked with several personal trainers over the years. Abby is absolutely the best and most knowledgeable I have encountered. You won't find any attitude here, just a safe and effective workout from a credentialed professional who wants to help you be healthier.

After being released from seven months of physical therapy for a shoulder injury, I realized how much I enjoyed exercising with individual attention and assistance.  I don't like the typical gym atmosphere (it is intimidating to me as an out-of-shape and sedentary 71 year-old woman) and longed for individual instruction with someone who was knowledgeable about the human body. I found what I was looking for at Fitness is Medicine.  Abby is highly educated (she's an ACSM certified exercise physiologist) with a fully equipped private gym.  My progress has been amazing!  I am able to lift weights and do exercises I never dreamed that I would be able to do. This has been life changing. I look forward to my sessions and spending time with Abby, who is lovely, warm and encouraging. I give Fitness is Medicine my highest recommendation.

Fitness Is Medicine is the real deal! Abby Wynja personalizes workouts that address the particular needs of each individual. Whether recovering from surgery or training for my first super sprint triathlon at age 69, Abby's expertise got me to my goals. Under her guidance, I've gone from knee and hip replacements to skiing Copper Mountain from top to bottom without stopping.

I've been training with Abby for just over a year now and I've been steadily reversing my health issues I've accumulated over the past several years post-injury and through many life changes. I love her approach to fitness as a long-term lifestyle change, and has made it very sustainable for me.

My exercise program with Abby is great. She customizes it every 6 weeks or so and works with me to build core strength and cardiovascular capacity. I look forward to my classes each week.

Abby has worked with me for about 3 years. She has been a very good help to me and I look forward to my 3x-weekly workouts even though I don't really enjoy exercise. She is very knowledgeable and caring, and watches carefully for good form. She mixes up the exercises and makes a point of getting feedback about how it's going, so she can make appropriate adjustments. The location is spacious, with enough equipment to give the needed variety. Abby's demeanor is always pleasant, with a sense of humor and the kind of involvement that helps you try a little harder.
