About the Club

On the surface, Flipshack is a gymnastics facility. But really, it's about developing a mindset of living boldly. Gymnastics and parkour are complex and sometimes scary, providing us opportunities to develop long term thinking, perseverance, problem solving skills and encouraging attitudes. It can make us aware of what stops us, so that we can learn to overcome.
We focus on the journey of self-development, not just the finished product (because life has no finish line), and we see gymnastic movement as the ultimate education in body control – a foundation with Flipshack builds confidence and competency in any of life's physical endeavors.

We look forward to your training!

I was on the Xcel Silver level team at Flipshack Gymnastics and it was the best experience of my life. The coaches are the best, especially coach Wayne! You are allowed to be yourself and don’t have to act serious during practice. Being a little goofy is ok! My teammates accepted me even though I’m a little strange because I am on the autism spectrum. Love the gym! I miss Flipshack so much!

My partner and I came here last night for him to get back into his flipping practice again during their Thursday open gym. It took us a long time to find a place with an open gym and we're really glad we found these guys. A lot of places like this only cater to children and teenagers. Anyways, we kinda felt out of place for a while because we were definitely the oldest people there (I'm 30 and he's 33, but we don't look our ages, but especially him since I'm more reserved and come across a bit more serious), but after a while we just let ourselves go and had fun. He had fun the whole time and was chatting it up with everyone there. I'm not a flipper or gymnast or anything (never have been; I'm a yoga person) but after a while I jumped on the trampolines a bit and had a great time. (I did have a great time the whole time.) It's a really cool environment for those who are passionate about moving their bodies, letting loose without being too serious, and meeting people. Seeing all of the teenagers having fun being themselves genuinely gave me hope for the future. We'll definitely be coming back.

Lincoln center was so much better. I wish there was a bit more discipline with the kids. There's a lot of rude and inconsiderate kids who act like everyone is there for them. The instructors/coaches all seem to know their stuff and the kids seem to like most of them. They would get more stars if they had a better facility and more control over the kids.

My oldest daughter (8) has been going here since August and she LOVES IT. She took gymnastics for a short period as a toddler and hasn’t done it since we started here this past summer and has already progressed so much! I love how they offer incentives to the kids such as junior coach cards, it really motivates my daughter to listen and try her best in order to coach a different class. The facility is clean and all the staff is so accommodating and kind. I highly recommend!

We just had a birthday party at the Cheyenne location. We had a blast! The crew was so sweet with all of the kiddos and kept everyone happy and entertained. Would definitely recommend!

Flipshack is the best gym I have ever been at! Great coaches, and overall just an amazing place to be and feel like home.

Their disciplinary strategies, unfortunately, are not in line with developmentally appropriate expectations for 2- and 3-year-olds. After countless phone calls and emails, and despite numerous reassurances that my toddler would not be shamed, the teachers continue to act in a way that no child should be treated. It is a real bummer, as I think their curriculum and proximity are ideal for what I would like my two young children to be able to participate in. If you have a very active and curious child, I would hesitate to move forward.

Very knowledgeable coaches and so much to learn and do in LTG classes. The only reason for minus 1 star is because sometimes if low attendance, the sections/stations can get more baby-sitting than actually teaching of skills.

Don't use this place if you want gymnastics

I was on a waitlist for classes, got a text about availability. I texted them. No response. Called them.
The guy didn't want to give me info. Then on pushing her said that all they have is an open gym for the kids to run around and climb on obstacles. They do very little coaching per him. So so essentially it's just supervised playground time for an hour. I said I wasn't paying for something I could do free at a public park. He then back peddled and said oh no we do do coaching. Then he said again no coaching. I have no clue what they do.
He said they have gymnastics but only during the work week and during school hours. He then ignored my questions
This place seems awful if their phone skills indicate anything.

Our now 7 year old daughter has been training here since she was 5. The coaches here are the best of the best. They are so patient with the kids but also firm. They are really talented at explaining things to the kids in a way they can understand and when they doesn’t work they show them how to do it.

The facility is clean and well organized. The front desk is always considerate and helpful. I really can’t say enough good things about this place! A truly wonderful experience for our daughter and our family.

I was on a waitlist for three months. I had called to follow up and was told my daughter was coming up. They called about a week later to schedule my daughters class. We scheduled for three weeks out. I received a text reminder to go in tomorrow.
My daughter’s cousin is in town and wanted to try the class as well. I called the 8th street location to see if she could join my daughters class - she said yes. The lady then tells me are the girls potty trained and I said no, they are 14 and 15 months. The lady then tells me they have to be potty trained. This resulted in a total waste of time. ...For over three months. πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈOh well, just have to find a different place for baby girl

Flipshack has helped my daughter grow tremendously, not just as a gymnast, but as a person. It started as a bunch of uncoordinated, but energetic kids jumping around the room, but somehow she has become a confident girl doing skills in circuits, learning good body dynamics. Most importantly, she LOVES it, practices, coaches, all of it. I burned out as a kid because of the demands of the sport, but Flipshack is focused on life balance and community. We couldn't be happier being part of that community.

First timer today, and never not going to be a customer. My daughter loved it so much; granted she didn't listen, ran around and jumped on and off of everything and was generally a gleeful 3 year old, but shucks howdy if we're not here every week for the foreseeable future.

Great place for the kids to get some energy out and learn gymnastics techniques. We had kids from 3-8 years go here and it was good for all of them. I think we paid about 60 a month and got 1 hour a week. They also have a few hours blocked off on Fridays for little ones to run wild. Worth checking out.

My oldest daughter LOVES Flipshack!! She is part of the Excel team and has learned so much about gymnastics and how to be a stronger person through the program. She has participated in the program for the last two years and can't wait to compete again next year! I highly recommend the Excel program at Flipshack. My youngest daughter is now taking classes at Flipshack and enjoys having her older sister junior coach her on Tuesdays after school. Wayne teaches kids confidence as they learn cool skills in a safe environment. My kids come home happy after they have been at Flipshack!!πŸ™‚

Flipshack is amazing! It is the perfect combination of discipline and fun! The staff is knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging, and the atmosphere is more of a community than a gym. The coaches on team are phenomenal! They have high expectations but value each gymnast as a whole person. They instill so much more than gymnastic skills. THANK YOU, FLIPSHACK!

Flipshack has been one of our favorite places for years! Our kids have been in classes, at birthday parties, open gym and parent’s night out. They love it, and I love to see their faces light up when they learn a new skill that challenged them. As a student in the class for adults, I get to learn new skills along with the benefit of feeling like a kid on a trampoline! The coaches are so great at teaching each student at their own pace, encouraging and making class fun.

Amazing! I have never experienced a company more dedicated to the success of their clients, or the quality of instruction like Flipshack. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

The facility is clean and welcoming. They pay attention to every detail. If you or your kids want to learn how to move well, in any sport, Flipshack will give you the foundations for movement that will help you progress quickly while staying safe. What an incredible place!

Our daughter has been going to Flipshack for eight years, and we absolutely love it! They are more than a gymnastics gym, as they focus on entire body movement and self awareness. Their classes are engaging and their staff knowledgeable. Most of all, we love that they do not prescribe to the win-at-all-cost mentality. Our child has the ability to grow and learn, and develop her skills at her own pace. The adult class is equally fun! I'm so excited there is finally a place in town where adults can learn new skills in a safe environment.

Hey Flipshack staff,
I just want to let all of you know how much we, as a family, appreciate the conscientious dedication, and careful attention that you give to each one of your students! I love the fact that each one of you treats not only the students, but also the parents, like family. Every coach is highly skilled in
instructing and training the students in building and mastering each technique, and the whole place exudes encouragement that also builds confidence. So, here is a huge "THANK YOU" to each and every one of you!!

We love Flipshack! One daughter started 1.5 years ago at the age of 4 and is still in love with it and now our younger daughter has begun too and is so excited. The coaches have paid close attention to our older daughter's abilities and let us know when they thought she was at a point to move on to the next level. This keeps her interested and challenged while still having a blast. I think Flipshack strikes a great balance between teaching the kids great skills and having a well-structured program, while making sure it's not too intense and is an atmosphere where kids can really have fun. And rather than avoiding parents (which is the vibe given off by some gyms), Coach Wayne and the rest of the staff welcome the presence of parents and encourage their involvement. We highly recommend this great gym.

My son has been in the toddler class at Flipshack for over a year, and we both love it!! The structure of the class is perfect for toddlers - structure and instructions provided by our teacher (we love Coach Sam!) and very hands on for parents to help guide their little ones through the various activities that are included in the 45 minute class. We start with trampoline and obstacle course, move to the balance beams, tumbling, bars, parachute, and then the bouncy house. My son has shown remarkable improvement in all areas, and most importantly, has a blast every time we go to class. Flipshack is the best!

We couldn't ask for a better gym for our 12 year old son. He LOVES the urban gym class & his coaches. The coaches do a great job of teaching him new skills while giving him the type of encouragement he needs. The owner Wayne is such a gem -- he honestly cares about each and every student. Lastly, one of the highlights of my son's birthday was that HE received a call from Flipshack wishing him a great day -- that's the kind of stuff they do to make the kids feel special :)

Our girls were new to town and had a poor experience with other studios. The staff at The Flipshack welcomed our girls with open arms and treated them like a person not a dollar sign. Both my girls are excited to go back for practice each day. My wife and I really respect the Flipshack for maintaining a high integrity throughout all staff and a positive atmosphere.

We absolutely love going to Flipshack. I have 5 children that have been going here for nearly 6 years. It has dramatically improved their confidence and self esteem. The coaches and the owner all actually care deeply about the kids and are great with them. Flipshack has become like my kids' second home. Not only do the classes provide a safe place for children to release their energy, but the instruction is excellent. My three oldest children are developing skills and able to do tricks I thought I would only see in the Olympics; it is seriously impressive. Some other lady mentioned not being accommodated for a make-up class in her review and being given a pass for free open gym as a substitute. Let me just say that my kids have taken ballet, music instrument lessons and done other sports and NO other place I have gone has ever offered a make-up class for when I was the one that couldn't make it to a class, much less given me a coupon for a free open class when they couldn't accommodate my schedule further. They have ALWAYS accommodated the customer as much as is reasonable and have supported my family as much as possible. Flipshack is seriously awesome!

Flipshack is an amazing gym. I've had a child in preschool class and an older child in various classes as well as private lessons. Every instructor we've worked with has been knowledgable, professional and caring. Flipshack seems equally focused on fun, development of skills and development of confidence.

Our daughter started taking classes at Flipshack in 2008. She is now part of their gymnastics team. We have always been impressed with the programs offered as well as the professional staff.

The Flipshack team discussed goals with our daughter and helped her achieve those goals. They gave our daughter the confidence needed to move forward in gymnastics.

Two very impressive things about Flipshack is its focus on having fun while getting fit as well as its manta of "never stop moving". As well, Flipshack is focused on the fitness well being of all their students/gymnasts.

Finally, Flipshack is always looking at new and innovative ways to provide a means for kids to get fit. I highly recommend Flipshack.

If you're looking for a community supported gymnastics and fitness outlet for children and teens, Flipshack is the place to be. I grew up in traditional gymnastics and wanted a fun environment where my children could learn to love the power of movement and their bodies. Flipshack's motto of "Never stop moving" is the type of fitness for life and overall wellness children and adults can embrace.

I really liked the teacher that my daughter had here. And she seemed to liked it, but there were several things I was really disappointed in. We were members at Gymboree until they closed down and we wanted to find another class that was similar. First, their curriculum for under 2-1/2, from what I understand, doesn't change at all. It is the same activities week after week. I don't know about over 2-1/2, but while I think repetition is important, I also believe working on different skills every now and then is also important. Also, the teacher said that they always spend the first 15 minutes out of a 45 minute class waiting for people to get there. So you are essentially paying for 30 minutes, 15 of which your child runs around doing whatever they want... we can do that at home. This really disappointed me. And third, they don't allow makeup classes past a weeks time. So once a new session starts, they will only give you open gym passes. Kind of absurd when you consider, from our experience, that the whole class NEVER shows up. So it's not a matter of space. It's really an irrelevant rule that disrespects a paying customer. I think the owners have a lot of work to do in order to step up the quality and customer service that this place offers. While I thought the instruction was good, taking care of the paying customer always comes first for me.
