Great facilities, location, and staff! Lost of top rope, lead climbing, and bouldering. Nice kids area with auto-belay (a few in the main area too). Did use the gym equipment or classes, but this is a great all around fitness location with very reasonable pricing.

I love this gym. Great setting and a wide variety of routes for all levels. General atmosphere is low key compared to many of the gyms in Denver. Excellent spot.

Excellent climbing gym! There's a "shorter" kids climbing area that's amazing for warm up and kids that don't have as much endurance. Fantastic place for birthday parties and really reasonably priced (as climbing gyms go)!

G1 is an amazing gym! The route setting is simply superb – the setters clearly put thought and creativity into every climb, making easier and harder climbs engaging and fun. The facility is incredibly clean and well-maintained, and the staff is filled with some of the kindest, most welcoming people you'll ever meet. Highly recommend G1 to climbers of all levels!

Best route setting I've come across. High routes, inventive climbing, clean - no ancient slopers with 3 months of chalk! Good turn over of routes with some new routes across the spectrum every few days. Sensible grades.
Just the best!

Two weeks before nationals and the only 15m speed wall on the front range is removed??
And the gyms complain about USAClimbing?
Support the climbers.
Where do the gyms think olympians come from?

Can’t rave enough about the route setting here… it is consistent, approachable, and kinesthetic. The routes are also set in a way to promote safe climbing which is a huge plus- gym climbing should feel free- really great use of space in the bouldering area as well.
Secondary- the equipment here is top notch, both available for rent and purchase. The fitness center also has an excellent selection of niche tools- powerbars, elevated heel pads… kind of an insane collection of hang boards in house too!
Check it out!

I switched over to G1 ~6 months ago, and I love it here! Their community nights are awesome, the route setting (boulders and roped/lead routes) are always fun and introducing new movement. The Yoga classes led by Morgan are always full of fun, new challenges (the food kind), and provide exactly what I look for in a yoga class.

G1 is hands down one of the best climbing gyms I’ve ever visited! I live in Boulder less than 5 mins walk of 2 climbing gyms but I would rather drive to G1. The cleanliness of this facility is impeccable—every surface, from the climbing walls to the fitness areas, is spotless. It’s so refreshing to see a gym that prioritizes cleanliness at this level, which makes the entire experience even more enjoyable.
The indoor air quality is fantastic, even during peak hours. They must have an amazing ventilation system because you never feel that typical gym “stale air” or “chalky” vibe.
The route setting is top notch! The variety and creativity in the routes keep me engaged and challenged every time I visit. Whether you’re a beginner looking for fun, approachable climbs or a seasoned climber chasing your next project, there’s something for everyone. It’s also cool to see many professional elite athletes training on their 5.13/5.14 routes.
Overall, G1’s attention to detail in every aspect, from cleanliness and air quality to the quality of the climbs, makes it a must-visit for climbers and fitness enthusiasts alike. Highly recommend!

Great gym with a local feel. Opened by a Colorado local who’s additions to the climbing community are many more than this gym. This place is clean with wonderfully friendly staff. It’s 5.fun on almost every route you’ll touch. The walls are the tallest you’ll find around. The coaches are knowledgeable and eager to meet your training needs. Not to mention the great yoga that comes with your membership.
I approve.
*3 years later update. I’m still a member. And my review stands as is. Still the best gym around. 👍

I've been a member of this gym for nearly two years and it's the best climbing gym I've ever experienced.
The facility is extremely clean: the weight room, the holds, and even the air (have you seen the massive air filtration system in the southwest corner?).
The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Jeff the Programs Director. The gym makes such a strong effort to create a small community out of the members. The events include climbing nights for various groups, climbing comps, gym to crag nights, holiday potlucks, even Olympic climbing watch parties at 2AM. Another shoutout to the staff that manages the kids teams, they do a tremendous job of teaching the kids how to boulder safely, stay out of the way of other climbers, and share sections of the wall with everyone else even when their team is working on a particular problem.
The setting is a great mix of fun comp-style problems and more outdoor-style body tensiony stuff. I especially like that the routes and problems have more lateral movement on the wall instead of the Movement gyms in the area which pretty much take a straight path up the wall (largely because they have to since the gyms are so busy).
Even at 6PM on a rainy winter night the gym is never too busy, especially when compared to others in the front range.
The owners clearly care deeply about the members. One such example is when there was a tiny tear in one of the bouldering mats and one of the owners personally closed down the section and ensured it was fixed immediately. At larger gyms such as Movement RiNo I've seen long split seams in their mats that are there for months and months.
Excellent, excellent gym and staff - thank you G1!

So unfortunately I would give this gym a better review but I rented a harness to try to rope climb but got told after I had already paid that I had to take the class first to climb on the wall so I didn’t get any time on the wall and just wanted my money. I was also with two people who did take the class . The bouldering part is the saving grace. Just disappointed I couldn’t rope climb and rented a harness for nothing.

Amazing gym in so many ways.
Community : We just moved here a month and a half ago and knew no one in the area. I won't claim we have BFFs now, but Jeff and his team at G1 have created a very social environment with various meet ups each week. There's a generic climber meetup, a women's meetup, and a queer climbers meetup. The staff splits folks up into pairs based on what kind of climbing you want to do, and so far everyone has been lovely. We're also looking forward to the roped league coming soon. Jeff often goes around and checks in on how people are doing. Incredibly friendly and always smiling. He also recommended the Gym to Crag class, a 1 day indoor/1 day outdoor class to help make the transition from gym to outdoor climbing. We did it and feel so much more equipped to make the jump comfortably to outdoor climbing. Shout-out to Andrew at Denver Mountain Guiding for teaching the class.
Facilities : It's the only gym we've climbed at in the area, but I've brought a couple of friends who have climbed elsewhere and they were super impressed. I'm told the walls are some of the highest in the area, and we've also really been enjoying the route-setting. We're both around v5 level, but even the v2-v3 range are super fun because the setting is really creative and interesting. There's also yoga classes, which I'm not yogi, but also no complaints as a casual. Also includes a fitness gym area, moon board(s?). Really everything you could want from a modern climbing gym.
Busy-ness : Weekday evenings can get fairly busy, but coming from an incredibly large city with a single gym, it's really not that bad. Weekends and early evenings are usually quite chill as well. You don't have to find some insane timeframe to go to have a good session.
All in all great gym, can't recommend enough. Also, you may catch some professional climbers absolutely crushing it which is always fun to see.

The greatest climbing gym I’ve ever had the pleasure of going to. The staff are phenomenal, the routes are reset regularly, always a clean and inviting environment. I've been climbing in the Front Range for a little over a decade now and have trained in many gyms. G1 is by far the best. Its setters are top-notch and regularly set and reset incredible sport routes and boulder problems and have a full suite of auxiliary training tools (including adjustable Kilter and Tension boards). So much time and care goes into this place. It is so clear that it is owned and run by passionate local climbers. But most important are the immaculate vibes and sense of community at this gym. Each and every staff member is helpful and friendly and there seems to be a new event, social gathering, or affinity group each week. Can't stress enough how wholesome and welcoming this place is. Wouldn't want a membership anywhere else!

2024 update: the scheduling and behavior issues with the kids teams have been addressed and it no longer feels like a daycare/zoo.
I still wish there was consensus grading. The grades mean almost nothing between climbs and between setters.
Original review:
I climbed here for over a year and enjoyed it, but now there are so many competition teams and kids teams that practice EVERY weekday during peak hours (5-8) that they just block up the walls and make the gym unusable. The kids clubs spread out and block whole walls and do repetitive cycles on the same climb making the walls even more unusable for long periods. If all the teams practiced during non-peak hours or upstairs, this gym might actually be accessible for non-team/non-club users.
Especially this year, the route ratings have been all over the place after they removed consensus grading. 10s and 12s that climb like 11s, two 11s next to each other where one climbs like a 10 and the other like a 12.
I'm really sad that I can no longer enjoy the walls here after work.

Been going here for years! They're my favorite front range gym. Gym is clean and new. Jason, the owner is lovely and it's nice climbing at a small business owned gym.

By far the best gym my husband and I have ever been to in 35 years of rock climbing. The route setting is exceptional and the gym is very clean. The staff is great, very welcoming and professional. From the perspective of someone just starting to climb, this place is incredible. The community is welcoming and the staff is friendly and helpful. Even without paying for a class I've had someone help me with a project that was giving me trouble. I got genuine advice on what my first pair of climbing shoes should be. The staff deserves some recognition for their dedication to their members. I've only given bouldering a shot so far but the gym has so much packed in it I feel like I could be trying new things for years.
From the perspective of someone who also likes to lift, this gym's weight room is pretty good. Obviously G1 won't have the same equipment as a normal weight training gym and that's totally fine but I feel like it's almost there. In my opinion if they could make the space and get a weighted calf machine, a dedicated lat pulldown machine and a quad/hamstring extension machine this weight room would have everything I'd need. It's not really a huge deal to me personally but I think it's a good thing to point out.

Where do I even begin with G1 Climbing Gym? This place isn't just a gym; it's a portal to a world where gravity is more of a suggestion than a law, and where chalk isn't just for classrooms!
First off, let's talk about Nicole and Jeff, the dynamic duo that make Batman and Robin look like they're just playing dress-up. Nicole, with her encyclopedic knowledge of every nook and cranny on the walls, can guide you through routes that feel like a personal tour of RMNP, minus the frostbite. And then there's Jeff, whose belaying skills are so legendary, I'm pretty sure he could hold onto the rope with one hand while making a gourmet sandwich with the other.
But what truly sets G1 Climbing Gym apart is the atmosphere. It's like if a motivational speech and a high-five had a baby, and that baby grew up to be a gym. The community here is so supportive, you'd think they're all cheerleaders in disguise. I once fell off a bouldering route, and three people applauded my "graceful dismount." I felt like I'd won a medal.
The facilities are top-notch, with walls that challenge you to defy gravity in ways Newton probably never intended.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a place where you can push your limits, make lifelong friends, and occasionally get chalk in places you didn't know existed, G1 Climbing Gym is your spot. And if you see Nicole or Jeff, tell them they're the real MVPs. Just don't challenge Jeff to a sandwich-making contest; you will lose.

G1 is awesome. It's always super clean, the staff is always welcoming and the setting is great. Everything is really well maintained and thought through. They have a ton of community events that feel very inclusive and there's plenty of things to do for beginners all the way up to advanced climbers.
They also offer climbing classes and have private coaches that can take your climbing to the next level. I work with Chelsea Rude and I've seen significant improvements in all aspects of my climbing in a short time. I'd highly recommend Chelsea to climbers of all levels and I think G1 is probably the best all-around climbing gym I've ever been to.

After being a member at: Movement (Boulder & Denver), the gym formally known as Evo, the gym formally known as Earth Treks (Golden) AND the gym formally known as Rock'n & Jam'n, I can safely say that G1 is my favorite gym in all of Colorado. I appreciate that G1 is one of the few gyms left standing that isn't owned by a corporate giant, and I truly love that it feels that way from the moment you step inside, with local art for sale and staff members who actually care about you.
G1 offers so many great fitness and yoga classes along with tons of meetup nights, including Send It Sisters: a female empowerment group of badass women. I've taken several classes offered by coach Jeff Blum as well that were incredible; The Art of Falling and Push Your Grade, along with individual coaching sessions that were really helpful.
I love all of the staff at G1 but I especially appreciate Nicole Jolyn, who radiates joy and is always willing to help with any problem I've ever had. She also comes up with and runs really fun events, like Kisses & Cookies which featured adoptable dogs from Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue (free dog kisses!) and cookies from a local Girl Scout troop.

This is a large and clean facility. It has much taller walls than most gyms, so you can get an endurance workout. They have a large room with climbs set for shorter climbers (young kids) that helps them do things without every crux being a height or reach problem. They also have a great pro-shop with lots of gear for sale too.
I found the staff to be quite friendly and helpful. Once you pay for a pass or membership, or the day use fee to go in, then all of the classes or services (like Yoga, TRX, HITT, etc...) are included in the price, so you can throw in Yoga with your climbing and Spin session for no extra cost!

The staff is friendly and helpful plus I have met climbing partners at this gym because people talk to each other. (3) cleanliness. They have huge filters to remove the chalk from the air. Bring a jacket because the breeze can be a welcome cool when climbing. (4) they wash their holds. They're not manky or polished (5) it's a TALL gym (6) the kids programming is well done. I drive an extra 10 mins past the nearest climbing gym -30 mins each way - to make this my home gym. It's totally worth it.

Magnus Midtbo jokes about boulder walls being “for kids”… well at G1, it really is the kids wall.
If you ever boulder here, expect to be surrounded by children running around and traversing across all of the problems, with no regard for others. You’d think the staff working with them would be more aware of the disturbance it’s causing. It seems like it’s gotten worse so after over a year of coming here.
G1, if you’re going to have kids programs every single day during the most popular hours, please section it to a portion of the gym so others can enjoy the gym they pay for.

I have held memberships at most of the major climbing gyms on the front range (movement, the spot) and this is by far the best. The staff are super friendly, gym is very clean, not too busy around peak times, and the routes are high quality. Beginners and experienced climbers will both feel very welcome. Always great climbing at G1!

Great place! I came in as an absolute novice and they showed me the ropes (literally and figuratively) and made sure I was well set-up for success! Very clean, well equipped, and professional facility, and the staff is both extremely knowledgeable AND very friendly. I always feel like they have my back and want me to have the best experience possible!
On top of everything else, they have a better-equipped weight room than 99% of "regular" gyms I've been in, with power racks, Olympic plates, kettlebells, and much more (even cardio equipment!)

Really an excellent climbing facility. I've been twice now after trying out a few different climbing gyms in the area, and let me tell you why this one truly deserves 5 stars.
This is a very well designed gym. The color scheme, the natural wood paneling, route density, it all comes together really nicely. It's a beautiful facility.
The area is clean, well lit (lots of natural lighting), and the bouldering mats are in very good condition. To find a gym with all 3 of these is a rare find, so it was really nice to finally find one.
The setting (with some soft grading on ropes) is very very solid. A ton of variety when it comes to climbing styles, without the major shift towards ridiculous comp-style dyno moves that many larger gyms tend to have. I was definitely pleasantly surprised by this. The only real (minor) issue I have occasionally is route density. Some of the more slab-style climbing can be inhibited by holds on other routes, but really that is a super minor issue. I would rather have a ton of routes then an empty wall.
The hold quality is outstanding. I literally did not find a single worn down hold, and that seriously contributed to the quality of each climb. It is clear that they take hold cleaning seriously.
The workout facilities are also top tier and hardly ever ridiculously busy.
All in all my complaints really come down to 3 nitpicky things.
The bouldering area can be slightly confusing as to where a route ends. It's not like you can top out on this wall, and there's not really a definitive indication as to where the route ends. Perhaps tape on the finishing holds or some other indicator would go a super long way.
The first clip on most of the routes are quite low, which makes sense since there are no mats underneath the lead wall or other ropes climbing areas, however it can cause a potential hazard if you have a light belayer and heavy climber. I would just be cautious of being sucked into the first clip. Most routes it seems pretty reasonable to skip the first clip.
Last, and probably the least relevant thing. Price. Generally all gyms in the denver metro area are quite expensive, and I hate seeing the sport I love being gate kept by a steep price tag. It'd be nice to see some options for financially impacted individuals.
If I could give 4.5 stars, I would for these reasons. But because I can't and it is definitely not a 4 star gym, it will get the 5 it deserves.

Such a great climbing gym! Not only is G1 centrally located right off of the highway but is surrounded by great businesses and residential buildings (including a yummy brewery next door and Ziggi’s coffee). The space is incredibly clean (air purification and A/C on blast), the routes are diverse and fun to try, and the gym itself is intelligently laid out (e.g., no empty space, weight room on the ground floor). The staff are also so informative, kind, and helpful. In addition, there are lots of great offerings, including yoga and fitness classes tailored to climbers and athletes in genera. Finally, this climbing space prioritizes community, making so easy for newer climbers to make friends, find climbing partners, or drop into meet-ups whenever. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about this gym. Going to or starting a new activity can be intimidating but the staff here are absolutely incredible and make you feel so welcome. The routes are awesome, autobelay is amazing so you can climb solo and the facility is perfect and clean. We had our sons 7th birthday party here and it was absolute perfection. They have a party room next to a corner of the gym and we got the entire corner to ourselves for the kids to climb their hearts out. The 2 staff that helped belay were so patient and kind and helped the kids climb any route they wanted. 100% will be back and would recommend this place to everyone!

Decent facility, well maintained, but we did not have a very good experience. Visited with myself and two little kids. Called ahead and were told they had 4 auto belay devices. Fewer than other places we go, but figured we would try it anyway. From my point of view, there were only 3 devices. The fourth was setup with a speed climbing course that was of no use to us. It would not have been so bad if I could have acted as a belayer for my kids. However, I failed their belay test. I understand the need for safety, but I've been climbing for over 20 years and have never failed a belay test anywhere. So there we were, $100 in and we were only able to use three ropes out of the several dozen they had available. I don't see us going back.

Nice new gym. I only sampled the bouldering, but the roped climbing looked very nice, too. Most of the routes are toprope, however, with only one overhanging lead wall available.
Walls are tall, 50 ft, which is very nice. Modern hold selection. Speed wall for those who like that, and a huge continuous hand crack on the autobelay.
The bouldering area upstairs is not enormous, but certainly enough to tire you out. I found the route setting really good here, interesting problems, often requiring good footwork. Bouldering grades felt quite stiff for a gym, i.e. almost outdoor-grade equivalent. Nice to see for a change!
Great hangboarding area as well with exchangeable hangboards, really well executed, never seen that before. Downstairs gym with treadmills, stairmaster, free weights and squat racks.
I'll be back!

They have some of the best routesetting in the country. There are strong climbers at this gym, especially the youth. The head setter has well over a decade of experience, and has a great team. The boulders were most impressive to me, as every style was represented. Coordination dynos and bicycle beta were artfully created. Their use of volumes was above average. It was clear whoever set and foreran the V8's, 9's, and 10's were more than capable to send. The higher grades got progressively more technical without estranging smaller or non-superhuman climbers.
Both boulders and roped routes seemed projectable if they were not flashable. The climbs were interesting enough for me to want to return to finish them. The addicting nature of the good quality setting is what I loved most about this gym.
The facility is quite bougie. The staff and their friends make a nice atmosphere. There is a physical therapy clinic inside the gym. There is a very nice weight room with everything climbers would need. They have rings and good pull up bars. Upstairs there is a proper training area with two training boards, and a free hanging properly pitched campus boards and every hang board attachment you could want. There are yoga mats and all the calisthenics accoutrement.
There are plenty of top quality brushes in the bouldering area. The bouldering mats are a little hard for my liking. I was having trouble committing at the top of the wall because the fall was quite hard, but not unsafe. The bouldering uses a V scale, and is pretty consistent. Overall the grading at this gym seems a bit soft to outdoors, and consistent with other gyms.
The lead wall is truly epic, there is overhang represented up to "5.14d" which I'm not sure I can believe, but hard climbs are so hard to find, anything over 12d is greatly appreciated.
The gym walls have a lot of friction. They have an increble selection of some of the newest holds on the market, many of which I have never seen before.
The only negative thing about this gym was they have harsh financial rules. A day pass is $25, they offer no first time discounts or free day passes. There is an initiation fee, which is a pretty outdated concept at this point. Month to month members do not get day passes, and have other restricted benefits which seems super weird. There is not a trial membership.
The bathrooms are always perfectly clean, however, the paper towels were often out and the shower curtain was a bit cheap. Other than that the accomodations were too notch.
Generally the rates are high, however the facility is well equiped and very beautiful, the quality of the setting is outstanding, so there is a high value represented. One of the best gyms in America.

Nice clean facility and good amount of climbing available.
Though use their auto belays with caution! My very first climb at their facility was on one of their auto belays. I climbed up nearly 40 feet when it stopped taking in the slack. These are almost the exact same that are used at my facility so I felt like something was wrong. I down climbed the 40 feet and when I unclipped the triangle it was attached to was nearly touching the ground! Thank god I work at a climbing gym (and not someone totally new to this) and knew how these machines worked and what to look out for. An employee happened to be watching me and started trying to fix it but said nothing to me and didn’t even apologize or anything. Went and bouldered for the rest of the time cause I couldn’t find it in myself to trust anything that was taller than 15 feet.

Clean. New TALL. Taller than everywhere else I've climbed. Generally great feel.
Route setting is really, really loose though. Lots of weird movements that don't have logical progression between one thing to the next. Lots of awkward body positions that make strength more important than proper sequencing. Highly unimpressed and I would say the worst routesetting of the Denver/Metro area.

I've been indoor climbing since 1994, and G1 is absolutely too notch. The massive 50' walls make for an exciting climb. No more following colored tape for the routes; the holds themselves are the same color to indicate the route.

Flowy with a great variety of TALL climbs (50ft walls). Plenty of room to do what you want even when it gets to the busier times. Shorter walls available upstairs (35-40ft) that still have higher grades along side lower grades.Ropes on every top rope anchor. Loads of training area, variable hang boards and counter weight pulleys. Large gear shop. Full size speed wall, but no other auto belay. One lengthy bouldering wall that doesn't have people walking all around or under you while bouldering, which is a huge plus compared to some other gyms. Love it here.

I have bounced around between pretty much all of the front-range gyms in my time here and G1 is by far the best gym in the area. I started up with them because my office was right around the corner, but even after switching to remote work I would not even consider swapping to a closer gym. The staff are friendly and approachable, the setting is consistently the best I've come across, the programs are very well organized, the facilities are constantly improving, and most importantly the community is incredibly welcoming: I have met more psyched climbing partners here in a couple of years than I have in my previous decade of climbing. Oh, potentially even more importantly they understand the joy of a nice cool gym...always sending temps ;)

Friendly Staff, relatively clean gym, new, but the GRADING IS WAY SOFT! I've been out of the game for a year due to a major health crisis, Im fat and soft, but apparently I still crush 5.12+ - V6/7 lol. The V4's were barely warm ups (meaning they were barely a V1 that you normally warm up on), I guess I come from a time when V5 was still considered...difficult lol. But, all in all, the gym was fun. Seriously, the grades in their are definitely meant to PUFF UP EGOS. Honestly, I hate when gyms do this type of grading, it manufacturers ability and when people actually go out in the real climbing world outdoors, they get hurt because they are trying climbs well beyond their abilities. Also, if you haven't climbed the line CLEAN and on LEAD you should not be putting your two cents into the grading.

I really wanted to like this gym and after considering it for months, I went for it. When I did the belay test, the worker was so incredibly rude and condescending, it was off putting and made me feel really unwelcome. But I decided to keep at it. While the walls are high, the square footage itself is actually pretty small. So make sure you’re not going in on a kids club night where that knocks out 40% of access.
I cancelled my membership after two months due to a strain of experiences (guys making unsolicited comments, loud/distracting music, etc). After going to places the Spot and Movement, the community and welcoming environment at those places work for me a lot more.

Went once but won’t go back. It didn’t feel like a very welcoming community even though I went after work on a weeknight when it was busy. They even have a wristband system to signify you’re looking for a partner to belay and no one seemed interested in approaching me or being approached. There were probably 60% kids, 30% 40+ and 10% 20s/30s however they weren’t very social like I typically expect a gym to be. The bouldering area was pretty small and confined with not much of a chilling area. Would’ve loved to top rope but they don’t have auto belays so that’s a huge negative in my mind.

Didn’t have a very pleasant experience at G1 today.
I called in to make sure my friend had a guest pass that I could use and the rep over the phone said he had one, and that I could for sure climb for free today. Awesome, so I drove down to G1 and my friend confirmed with the staff that he was going to guest pass me in. But then the front desk told me that my friend didn’t have a valid guest pass because he had a 30 day membership which invalidates his pass. I told them that another rep said he did have a guest pass, and they brushed it off as “oh he was probably new”.
I regrettably bought a day pass, and I decided to contest it at the end of the day as I felt mislead. They did give me a free pass for the future, which was alright, but I feel G1 should stick to their word over the phone. Even if the word comes from a different person, they’re all representatives of G1, and they should be on the same page about those things. If I would have been told correctly that my friend didn’t have a guest pass I wouldn’t have come.
Boulders were fun though.

For me, the main attraction was the route climbing: This feels like the tallest wall I've been on in a gym, and it has enough angle changes to keep the climbing feeling fresh and not monotonous, helped also by the varied, thoughtful setting. Clearly they have a very experienced setting crew putting up the routes, as the climbs have amazing flow but also integrate shake-out and resting points, much like real rock. (Boy, do I hate power-endurance sprints where you can barely let go to clip or where the clips are the cruxes—there was none of that BS at G1).
There looked to be a clean, modern weight room, the bathrooms/locker rooms were clean and spacious, and there's lots of novice terrain too if you're teaching newer climbers.
The upstairs area has a Tension Board and Kilter Board (sweet!) as well as a hangboard/campus board tower and a long bouldering wall, and some tables and chairs for hanging out. The bouldering was fun and varied, up notably tall walls (the padded floor was good and stiff and buoyant for long falls) with some interesting slab/parkour setting on the lower-angle terrain, and creative problems. I do think the harder (V7-on-up) problems would benefit from having more consistent movement and more footholds. At 5'6", I occasionally found myself bouted on what felt like morpho or reachy moves where a simple jib or two would have changed a problem from "impossible" to "hard but fun." But then again, I'm old and weak...
Great gym, killer experience, highly recommend!
