I gotta admit, this is a pretty sweet place to train. TRX, machines, basketball court, outdoor stuff and the nicest locker room I've seen anywhere.

If you want to deal with rude management this is the place to go, both Ali and Lyn were super rude to me cause I had a service dog with me and I was bringing jinx for months and no one said anything then I got a rude phone call from Lyn saying I can’t bring my Esa animal even tho we was a certified service animal and at the end she was sick and wasn’t eating much so I brought a little food for her to eat and Ali was super rude about it, they pick and choose people cause I saw people on their phones all the time in the gym and wasn’t a problem and I was taking a important phone call that was very quick on the tread mill and was quiet about it and I knew I wasn’t supposed to so I made it quick and Ali made a big deal about it out it’s ok for other people to be on the phone that’s a double standard which isn’t ok, they made me feel super uncomfortable so I ended up leaving and finding a better gym with nicer management that didn’t give me a issue about my service dog, she didn’t make a peep or disturbed people so why harass me it’s cause they are very rude people, and not so stuck up and bitter people that made you feel not welcomed, one of the worst part Lyn said they were not ymca even tho online it says ymca and this situation came up cause I was talking to a front desk person about me being on a list to be able to go to ymca for free and Lyn chimed in with her stuck up attitude and said we are not ymca even tho it clearly said ymca and I tried to call corporate about this whole situation and they didn’t have the decency to call me back so again if you want to deal with rude double standard management you should go here, if you live in Glendale it’s 10 dollars a month which is a good price but I rather go somewhere else and pay a bit more and not get harassed
So again if you want to deal with rude stuck up management this is the place to go

Please please please stay open for even an hour longer on the weekends, even if just for the summer. I have to work from 7-3 on weekends and it’s pretty stressful and difficult to make it when it closes before the sun is even down. Even another hour would be greatly appreciated

Good exercise facility, but basketball court ac is deliberately turned off in a hottest time in summer, and heating is off during coldest days in winter. Happens every year

A gem of a gym. Just the right mix of free weights, machines and cardio. Locker rooms are well kept and a good place to store your things while you workout. Great gym for the price.

If you're a Glendale resident, you get a nice discount. Monthly membership is less than a fast food meal. Absolute best deal in town if you live in Glendale.

I just met with a couple of people who were somewhat helpful towards my dead phone situation, and allowing me to charge it there! But honestly they acted exclusive. I’m not concerned about a response but definitely be aware of exclusive behaviors at this place even though it’s really not

This really is a great gym and the staff are great . But I wish there was more equipment there for the amount of space there is and I wish there were a lot more classes there. The classes are great, but I wish there were more or more optionschose I wish there were more in the evening since I work typically work during the day.. but I do wish there was more to offer here since it's such a big building and for the price you pay for a membership. Since I'm considered to be a denver resident, I have to pay the bin Glendale membership price which n is kind of expensive for what you get. It just seems like for the price v you have to pay if you are a non Glendale resident you would get ba lot more from it

Moved to Glendale and heard there was a gym for $10/month if you’re a resident. Absolutely had to check it out and was very impressed with the quality of the equipment, dumbbells, and workout space. Locker room is very clean and looks great as well.

The people working there are great! They’ll end up knowing you by name.
It’s affordable!
Has basketball, ping pong (certain days only), pickle ball (certain days only) and more.
You can’t use the turf field though, so it’s indoors only. I was expecting to do sprints in the back. But not allowed.

It’s not super busy, but it can be. Every time It’s been busy I haven’t had a problem with people there.

Honestly, the gym itself is great with lots of great equipment, cheap membership if you’re a Glendale resident, and you can go at off-peak times to avoid loads of people. I’ve been going here for almost two years, but I have had some seriously maddening interactions with particular employees. My boyfriend and I are in our mid-twenties, and on multiple occasions we’ve been treated by some older staff like we’re rude or incapable. We’ve had staff approach us many times within 15 minutes of closing coming up to us informing us that they’re closing soon in an annoyed tone, although we’ve never stayed past closing. Staff has gone as far as to flicker the lights 10+ minutes before closing as a warning they’re closing soon. The gym closes much earlier than many other gyms, and many times I have to workout later in the day due to work. They also turn off various lights and fans 10 minutes early in general — pretty weird and never experienced that at any other gym. If you head out right at closing or right before, you’re likely to get dirty looks from certain employees, as it seems the staff expects to leave early, not at the actual time they close. There was a particular occasion where I moved a bench to a different room because the other was in use, and when I was done I moved some other equipment I’d been using back BEFORE putting the bench back because it was heavy. By the time I came back to move the bench, an employee who was off duty and working out walked past me and shook his head at me, and grabbed the bench before I could and put it back. Naturally, I approached him to let him know thanks but I was gonna move it back myself. He proceeded to ✨ pretend I wasn’t there ✨ even though I approached him 3 separate times. His headphones weren’t blasting, as I saw him casually talking to an older gentleman just a few moments later. Ridiculous. Some of the staff however is super kind, always says hello, and remembers you — honestly, those people, the short distance from where I live, and the equipment is what’s keeping me here. It’s just so weird to me that certain employees get away with some weird behavior.

Employees are nice and communicative, and the gym is nice. Sometimes equipment breaks, but it's always fixed by the next time I go in. They've been handling the transition into safety precautions for COVID-19 well also. I see them cleaning equipment regularly and continuing to monitor how many people are in the gym - I saw them counting people. They also have classes that seem great, although I haven't attended any so I can't speak to that. Overall, very grateful to live in the Glendale area to have the discount and come to this gym. It's an insanely great deal for everything they offer.

Great facility with more than enough equipment, and a huge plus having a basketball court. However, very poor experiences with some of the gym employees. Some of them seem disengaged, and they rarely initiate conversation. A few of them don’t look up from their phones, and when I’ve called to ask general gym questions, I end the call by saying thank you so much I appreciate it, and I usually get hung up on without a response.

Says right here this is a YMCA, as shown in my screenshot. The link in the overview links to the YMCA, but upon arrival, they said this is not a YMCA and google maps is wrong. So, how about updating your information? I then asked for a guest pass, which they do not even offer. This, after walking here from my hotel. Terrible service

Fantastic small gym located in the heart of Glendale. It is only managed by YMCA, not directly a YMCA. The prices are upfront and reasonable for what you get! Basketball court, workout area, weight training room, various cardio and exercise machines. Yoga studio with all the new tech, cycling studio and comfortable locker rooms. It backs to the Glendale Raptors playing field. Hardly ever busy so you are always guaranteed a fast (or slow) workout with no waiting for any machine. Highly recommend to anyone who doesn't like going to a gym that has big crowds, or the casual gym attendee.

They will not photocopy anything for you if you aren't a member, not even so you can do your civic duty and vote.

Phone conversation on 11/6/18
Me: Hello, I'm just wondering if you would be able to make a copy of my ID for me?
Them: No, sorry I can't help you.
Me: Not even so I can vote? My printer stopped working.
Them: Well are you a member here?
Me: No, but I have taken an art class there.
Them: I can't help you.
Me: Ok, I'll try to find somewhere else then.

I was expecting a YMCA to be a bit more neighborly. I do live in Glendale and have considered joining but this interaction cements my decision not to join.

My family member worked for the city and I had a membership free through that benefit for years during their employment. Tonight, I went in to work out and to my surprise, the membership has not been picked up onto the card on file since this relative since changed employment, but insured the membership was still valid. Apparently not, no biggie, I’ve loved working out here for almost the last ten years, but I was recieved by the most snarky power starved, middle aged receptionist I have EVER met. I was ready to whip out my credit card and just pay for a six month on the spot, cheaper, easier and often my style with gyms. But this woman put such a nasty taste in my mouth, by treating me like some punk 20 year old brat trying to get something for free. I am 32, own my own (brand new) car, travel like a mad woman, and work my butt off. I did not appreciate being treated like an inconvenience when I was really armed to gain a new membership if necessary. My idea is that the only way to send a message is with how you spend your money; so instead of working out there, I am literally driving to another gym to buy a six month membership from them instead. Good luck getting private memberships with that woman’s attitude. Not cool. Not cool at all. Upside: I get to check out a whole new gym...with towel service. Yeeee!

Really nice gym, though it's more in the offerings of classes that compelled me to join. If you're a Glendale resident, it costs next to nothing to become a member.
