I enjoy everything I do here but when conforming information their always is a problem. The thing is they told me they didn't need anything else from me and that I turned in all required information, but this wasn't true.

This is a fantastic place for kidsβ basketball games, with multiple courts, quick easy food options, and a nice seating area out front. My only concerns are hoping they get some food items that are healthy and not just quick junk food items as well as the parking desperately needs to be expandedβover the past 4β5 years, I can only recall a few times when finding a spot was immediately available upon arrival and easy. Often, the only option is to park several blocks away and walk to the facility. Aside from that, everything else is excellent: a wonderful, family-friendly environment and facilities that kids really enjoy that also has an atheltic trainer which has come in extremely helpful a few games ago involving one of our players!!!

We come to this facility for volleyball tournaments. This is a great volleyball location the only issues are parking gets tricky not near enough parking and the neighborhoods are hot and miss if you are allowed to park.

Great facility with great employees, but reviewing the Bill Hanzlik summer camp. Seems like a blatant money grab at the lower 2-4th grade sessions. Ok/fun summer activity but little to no actual coaching and nothing to help kids actually improve their skills or knowledge if the game. Very disappointed in that aspect. Some coaches better than others but there didnβt seem to be much unity/training and working with young kids is a skill some coaches simply did not possess.

Played a tournament here this weekend. While the facility is overall nice, I reported 2x blood all over the womens bathroom floor and it was never cleaned up. We played 3 games over a 4 hour period which was plenty of time to clean a biohazard up. The blood was stepped in and then spread all over.

I live one street over and I think this place is wonderful but when there is something big people are parking all over the neighborhood. So there is no place for our friends or family to park on the weekend when they are visiting there loved ones. Please come up with a solution because it is out of hand!!

Most of the problems are with event organizers and I'm unsure if I can blame the actual location for that but I can blame the actual location for having: no unisex restroom(s), Inadequate parking for it's size, and a pretty confusing layout.
Still won't give it 1 star though because most of these could be fixed, hypothetically.

We had high expectations for this competitive league. We had heard from other parents that it was supposed to be a great place for your child to develop skills in basketball. The experience was disappointing from the start. The website had the wrong date for the try-outs in our area. It took several emails and finally showing up to a try-out just to get the name of the person I was supposed to email. When I reached that coach, I let them know that I had not been able to identify when or where the try-outs would be for our area. The response from the coach was somewhat condescending. When I provided all the information I had gathered from Gold Crown's site, the coach conceded that they had posted the wrong information on their site.
My child made one of their gold teams. You'd think that after paying over $500 for our child to participate, that there would at least be some kind of communication about what was happening. The coach must have thought that he was Phil Jackson and had no time for anyone. He rarely spoke to the parents. He was unprofessional. He did not show up for a few games. He did not show up to practices. And the best part was that he never communicated anything. Even after requesting to be added to whatever mailing or text list they use, communication was nonexistent. I received one email a month showing the schedule for practices. When practices were cancelled there was never any notification.
What's worse is that the kids on the team looked just as bad towards the end of the season as they did at the beginning. The team never learned how to play as a team. The individual players didn't seem to progress their skills. I wouldn't care about the coach's lack of communication skills if I at least saw some progress in skills. Unfortunately, there was none.
If you're looking for a place to help your child improve their skills in basketball, I suggest looking elsewhere. Save your money. Save all the time and gas that you're going to waste driving to games that are at least 40 minutes away. This is not the place to help your child grow as a basketball player.

I went to a basketball game and sadly did not have a good experience. The refs were very very unprofessional, were yelling at parents telling them not appropriate things...one of the refs also went as far and told a child something that they definitely shouldn't have!!! And you can definitely tell there was some favoritism... It's sad that in 2025 we have to go through things like this, you would think that people would be more professional especially with young CHILDREN!! Overall very disappointed with my experience but hopefully it will be better next time. π€¦π½ββοΈ

I am a very concerned parent about a comment a ref. made during a game to my son. As I sit in an urgent care waiting room to have my son evaluated for a concussion I am very upset. 1/ 3 referees made a foul call on our son at the end of the quarter. Just before he gave him the ball to shoot his 2 FTs he stated (according to our son) βif you keep flopping Iβm going to call it on youβ. I felt it was interesting he made the comment at a time when no one else was on the court bc it was at the end of the quarter and players were off court. Later in the game our son was fouled hard and his head bounced on the court. He was immediately removed from the game for the remainder. Head injuries are serious and to make a comment like that is unprofessional. This referee should be reprimanded of the repercussions of his ignorance. Just call the game ! Donβt encourage injury!

My family was there in August 2024 for a volleyball tournament.
The gymnasium is big and can accommodate many teams, however there is barely any seats available for the team members and the families. The portal benches allowed for twenty to thirty adults. So, if you didnβt want to stand during the entire game, you had to hover and wait until the other families who were watching their kiddos play, leave.
Not only was there not enough seating , the parking was atrocious. There just arenβt enough parking places available to accommodate the amount of people that were squeezed into the gym. We had to park four blocks away in a residential neighborhood that was already full from other families who were there for the volleyball tournament (Iβm sure the residents loved that).
Because the facility is surrounded by residential neighborhoods, there arenβt any options for food, other than the concession stand. Because you are a captive audience, the facility gouge's high school students and their families by charging outrageous prices for food and drink. To boot, they want tipped. Get real!
Even though, there are signs stating βno food allowed in buildingβ if you donβt want to spend an outrageous amount of money on the crappy concession stand food, you should bring your own or leave and take your chances of losing your parking place or not getting back on time.

My grandson has done most of the basketball programs for the last 3 years. He is now 9. Nothing changes in the curriculum. Our last coaches changed a couple times the last session too. There should be more focus on skill level than age groups. Group by skill so those that are good for their age are challenged.

Iβd give them 0 stars if I could. Came to watch my little brother play basketball as I was his only means for transportation. I have 11 dollars cash and no card because I lost it a few weeks ago. These ladies wonβt accept 11 dollars for 1 HOUR, to go sit down and watch him play. Talk about greed, what exactly is so special to where itβs 20 bucks to go watch 1 basketball game? And when I say I wonβt be there long and 11 dollars isnβt good enough? Greedy no good people running this place. Now Iβm currently sitting in my car for a whole hour to wait for him to finish his game because I donβt have 20 dollars cash. Obscured. Donβt give these people your money or your time. Went to the JTS graduation for a family friend today and was disgusted when they played The National Anthem from Joe Biden's inauguration. Those students would be so offended if they understood how insulting it was to do that to them. The National Anthem sang by literally anybody else who is at least someone who actually loves the U.S.A. would have been better. I was embarrassed and ashamed to be there.
Also, The Gold Crown Foundation smelled foul. I felt sick the whole time I was sitting there.π€’

This place is really great. It's a nonprofit and is really dedicated to development of youth basketball. Focused on a lot of tournaments on the weekend and through the summer.
They have skills camps and other developmental camps.
I only gave it four stars because of the limited parking. There's no street parking only in the lots but if your patient a space usually opens up. I saw a lot of cars get ticketed this weekend on the street.

Gold Crown has completely let down fans and players! They βkickedβ a team out of their facility for violence and intimidation. Then allowed that very same team to change names to come back the very next week. This team intimidΓ’tes refs and families. I will not let my child play another game at Gold Crown, until they do what is right and protect our kids from this type of team and families.

We registered for this league at the guidance of our HS (LuHi) Basketball coach to help polish my son's skills. However, what we learned the hard way is that it is a league that is based off of biased coaches who have pre-selected their teams and favor them in actual game play vs. building the team as a whole. Favoritism abounds vs. actually balanced approach in building talent. Further, there is LOT of selfish ball play from these pre-established teams.
God forbid if you are a new joiner like my son was. While I will give some praise to the coach we had, as mentioned. Minimal play time. Expensive and not worth the money if you are expecting this to be a venue to help your kid build out skill set.
ADD IN: Appreciate the owner responded - offering going to a rec league. Thanks but rec is for kids that have never played or have played minimal. My son has played in leagues in Parker/Highlands Ranch in past. This was far from is first time on the court. Regardless of that - he was not given the opportunity to really get the play time in a game that builds the hard skills. Passing, shooting under pressure. Defending in a game situation.

Gold Crown does not enforce their mask requirement even though they have an announcement every 15 minutes stating that masks are required and signs all over the facility. Many of the coaches, teams and some refs do not. It seems that all the signs and announcements are just for show and to keep the health department out of their business.

Gold crown field house. I have attended multiple events here. Today was utterly disappointing. You consistently turned a blind eye to an @t2basketball.org coach that continually removed his mask to scream, yell, and spew gross and disgusting spit and foul language throughout game play. None of your staff or referees approached this coach, despite request for assistance. We all want to keep basketball running. Please do your job to keep kids and spectators safe. Your overhead announcements are worthless without enforcement. Even kids know that.

I was often discriminated against when I played basketball here! I was the only person of color on the team and they were saying slurs and other bad thing's about me. I dreaded coming to practice every day due to the discrimination. The coaches did nothing! The parents saw what was happening and did nothing. The discrimination was so bad I stopped playing basketball entirely. There needs to be accountability.
