We’ve had wonderful experience at Goldfish Swim School so far! The staff is friendly and attentive from the moment you walk through the door. My son is one year old and just started his swim lessons, and the instructors have been phenomenal with him.
I’m appreciative of their communication with the parents - keeping us informed and at ease throughout the lesson. The whole environment feels geared toward helping little ones build confidence.
I would highly recommend!

Big shoutout to Lauren. She has been amazing and the progress our daughter has made since Lauren took over has been phenomenal. Couldn't be happier.

You get all the warmth you might expect for a “corporate” swim school. Super friendly getting you in the door and answering all the questions helping with paperwork. This was great and gave me good feels. Once my kiddo immediately decided he was too scared to get into the water they were very hands off, essentially “oh well”. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I knew about the cancellation policy going in (they are clear about it) but I didn't envision my kid (who goes to the local pool all the time) would have such a negative reaction. It stinks that they don’t seem to care or want to work with the families for a better experience. Help out a single dad!
Ultimately, IT COST ME $305 FOR HALF A LESSON. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN YOUR CHILD WILL ENJOY THE CLASSES. It would be nice if they had an intro class at a reduced price to try it out or if they had a process to help kids get acclimated.
The interactions I had with swim instructors were all great and if my kid had gotten to the point where they were comfortable, my experience likely would have been different.

Love this class for my almost 3 year old! We've been coming since my kiddo was like 6 months old and honestly it probably wasn't worth it til she was 2. We just moved into classes without parents and I love it even more now! My biggest issue is that the teachers vary often and that does impact the kids ability to trust and know a teacher. It also means lessons can vary a bit, but overall we haven't minded that too much since my daughter is comfortable in the setting due to long exposure.
I do think some of the class sizes are too big - for the littlest non-parent classes it can be up to 4 kids which means water time is very limited. I wish they were a bit smaller like 3 kids max.
Overall though, this class has helped my daughter to be comfortable in the water and I can see her learning and growing important, lifesaving skills.
Shout-out to Bella, who was the first teacher here we really fell in love with! She pushed my daughter to grow and learn, and truly seemed to care about her which makes it a much more impactful experience.

Didn't have a great experience here - didn't receive much guidance from the instructors on best approach to handle a toddler transitioning to independent swim and they didn't appear equipped or experienced to handle it either. Also, when we called in to ask about cancelation policy, we were told we just need to notify before next bill date, which we did. However, we were charged additional charges and upon calling for clarification, we were told a different policy than before. They would not acknowledge the inconsistent messaging and didnt take any accountability at all. We had planned on re enrolling our son in the future but will be looking elsewhere given the response we received.

The instructors are not equipped to handle toddlers and watch out for their confusing billing policy that is designed be confusing and allow them to charge you for more. Our 3yo had a hard time adjusting so we pulled him out. I called and asked if i need to give them 30 day notice so I dont get charged more than the whole month i paid for they said no, i could cancel anytime before the next bill date. Then we got charge $48 on top of the month i paid for. Katelyn (? Sounds like the owner) basically tried to gaslight me on the call by saying that they dont required 30 days notice but will charge for full 30days from the they i give them notice. You see what she does here? they had a policy change and then change it again all in 1 week. Please dont go here if you have other options because they will probably do this to you too.

My kid does enjoy the classes here so major plus! What is frustrating is that it differs from instructor to instructor on “what is allowed”. Would be lovely if all the instructors knew the rules and followed them with everyone.
Revising my review to a one star from a 3 star. It is literally week after week that no one knows what the heck is going on in this place. I’d demand a refund but I’m positive they are too unorganized for that to happen.

Enrolled my son into one 30 minute class totaling $100 which is insane to even start , I should have knew then to look elsewhere, after more research I found a better option for a way better price so I went to cancel my membership and to get a refund my money , I was told I am able to cancel but I wont be able to get a refund, how and why that is acceptable is ridiculous and clearly a quick money grab from parents trying to make sure their child is safe in and around pools , make sure you do extensive research about other options before you SETTLE with this place, because you won't get your money back if you decide to be smart, and go elsewhere.

Amazing place & worth every penny! The staff are all so kind and work with each kid with compassion and patience. The facilities make preparing & leaving each lesson a breeze - and our child is always so excited to get there early to color and get their $.25 candy at the end. Alexa is fantastic and gets all the kids engaged and excited to swim from the very first lesson. We are so happy that we started lessons here and look forward to all that the membership offers!

Disappointed. We loved this school and have been coming for over 3 years. There’s always been some turnover but it’s gotten completely out of hand. They let go staff that had been consistent and were wonderful with the kids. So my oldest asked to stop going. My youngest hasn’t had a consistent teacher in months, the final straw was showing up last week to be told his class doesn’t exist anymore and then telling us we can’t remotely get near the time frame we needed. This week we saw all the other kids moved to the same time except for us. Poor communication, poor customer service. I canceled his wait lists and will be canceling his classes too. My kids are split up with an hour between classes. Lastly I there’s no more space to use the makeup tokens he has, which further ads to the frustration.
I didn’t bother to email the manager after the lack of concern when I reached out to ask about the staff turn over when all our kids instructors who showed up ever week were suddenly let go.
Shout out to Nick who is the only remaining staff member that actually engages with knows my kids. For almost $300 a month, I expect more.

I've been taking my son to swimming lessons at this location for almost 4 months now, and he's been loving his classes. He and I have a chance for some amazing bonding time, and the consistency of the lessons are helping him a lot. I am also pleased that they remember his face and name even though they deal with so many other children throughout the week.
Most of the instructors are teens, but they have been amazing with my son and the other kids in the class. I am assuming they do a good job with older kids as their lanes are usually full and active. And, it also appears that as the instructors stick with the company they are promoted to other positions outside the pool, and can learn some great management skills.
If you're in the North Denver area and want to find a great swim class for children of any age I definitely recommend Goldfish Swim School.

All the teachers my son has had, we only loved Libby and willow. All the other instructors acted like they didn’t care to be there and I have to move my son from class back to Libby or willow. There was times where it felt like I had to run into the pool deck just to save my son because the instructors wasn’t paying attention. Also my son got kicked out of class due to another’s parents actions. And when I reacted we got kicked out. But when I had reached out to anyone regarding this, it was such a hard time to even get ahold of someone and when I did, with the regional manager Megan holencik, she didn’t even responded back to me at all. So unprofessional. That is why I know so many people who have quit their positions from this location due to the lack of professionalism.
It’s crazy how the owner have responded back to my review. But I am still waiting till this day for a response, & I had to call all day to get someone to give me some type of information so I can get a hold of someone. How is it that I have called around early 10am but I didn’t get no help until the last time I have called that day around 545pm. To get the regional manager information. Yet still no response. Also for them to say how I have behaved and what I was saying, but didn’t do nothing to the other parent who I’ve apologized for multiple times when she was calling me out of my name and had used profanity on the pool deck in front of all those kids. But they wanted to be professional.

Goldfish is amazing, my kiddo was scared of pools and swimming. He wouldn't leave the stairs even with a life jacket on. After about 2 months he was asking to go swimming and now he has his sights set on swim team. They're great at meeting your kiddo at their current skill level. I'd leave 10 stars if I could.

We have spent $2000 more on this school for my both kids for the past whole year. Unfortunately, they only got improved a little bit and still don’t know how to swim. My kids love water, but $30 for each child with half an hour class, and 3-4 kids take turns to try, average time for each kids only will be 5 mins…(Because they will call 5 mins early for switching classes after every 25 mins…) Super expensive and low efficiency. I wish they can open longer time classes, so the kids can get to swim more.

The facility is clean and its clear that the water temp is comfortable for the kids, however I am disappointed in how little time the kids actually spend in the water for the swim lesson. Was turned onto this by my daughter’s grandparents. As someone who had experience in teacher swimming back in my high school days, these guys are right on task, doing the same lessons in the same order I taught but with better equipment (hurray for capitalism over public schools). While I noticed a review or two talking about “disorganization” and “too many students,” this is light compared to the six to ten per instructor we dealt with and is fast compared to the old check in we dealt with, so I find no problems. You want “better,” teach your kid yourselves. I would if I wasn’t recovering from surgery.

I called Goldfish Swim School at the beginning of the summer, desperate. My 6 yr old missed out on swimming lessons last year because of the pandemic and she needed help and fast. She refused to put her head under water or try anything we showed her so she was destined to stay in the shallow end all summer, while all her friends played in the deep end. Sara told me about the Jump Start Clinic, which sounded perfect. It was pricey, so I was a little hesitant given 6's resistance, but Sara assured me they would work with me if 6 didn't make any progress. At the end of the week, it wasn't looking good. 6 did everything required of her during class, but still refused to put her head underwater at the neighborhood pool. But the next week, something clicked. And she began practicing what she'd learned. I signed her up for weekly classes. After only two more classes, she is already a hundred times more confident in the water. In fact, yesterday she learned to somersault. It's hard to believe that just five weeks ago, she was refusing to put her head underwater. Goldfish is pricey, but worth every penny for kids who need a little extra assistance learning to swim.

Moe, our son's instructor, has been wonderful. He went from not wanting to even get in the pool or getting his head wet to doing these things without hesitation in just the first couple of sessions! His confidence has skyrocketed and there's not a doubt in our minds that it's due to Moe's skill as an instructor and the care she provides our son. She's so patient and provides such a safe and caring environment which is so important when trying to teach a child who has never had any formal lesson in swimming. Our son looks forward to his lesson every week and we look forward to watching the progress he makes. Thank you for helping our son get closer to our goal for him which is learning the basics of water safety and building confidence.

If I could put zero stars I would. I visited this place in the beginning of June of 2021. This place is so disorganized. Once my baby and I arrived, we weren’t even greeted at the entrance. We walked up to the front desk and ask about the class and they just gave us a brief explanation on what time the class started and where to go. Once my baby and I finally got in the water it was just him and I. The instructor didn’t show any sympathy, wasn’t giving us any instructions or what to do. For the 30 minutes of the class we were just standing there in the water. Finally after the class, we proceed to the changing rooms. The changing rooms were so dirty and small. Finally, we walked up to the front desk and told them we had to pay for that one class, the receptionist insisted into paying for a monthly class. We explained about the situation and how we didn’t like the class or coordination. The receptionist got upset and cut me off in the middle of my sentence and then she proceeded to charge me for that one single class. As I was told prior to going to the class, that it will be only $30.00 for my baby to try it out. Later then after I received a receipt of $55.00. I called and no one answered me. Till this day I’ve been trying to reach out to them for an explanation, unlucky I haven’t received a response. Due to this I’m explaining my situation and leaving my review of his awful place.

4 kids per lane / 20 minute lessons = no more than 5 minutes of hands on in water experience. Our kid hasn't drowned, so an extra star earned for that!
A really nice systemic method of swim instruction is a very safe environment. As best I can tell, methods for recording progression do not exist so watch the progress yourself and suggest when it's time to advance. Purchased some family time to have 1/2 the pool to ourselves and had a great time. Staff are courteous and very professional with every interaction.

We have loved being able to introduce water safety to our little one at such an early age. We love the parent-baby lessons and socialization our little one gets while being introduced to water and how to be safe in it. We will continue to use Goldfish Swim School as long as we can.

I really love how friendly the staff is and how they respond to questions or concerns very quickly via email or by phone. I would and have recommended Goldfish to a couple friends that have enrolled their children also and love it. The only small problem is I feel the one parent/guardian per student needs to be enforced more. There has been a few occasions when I brought my daughter in to swim that families have brought in more then just one parent making it a little hard to get a seat or the ability to see my daughter swim without having to let the family know that they are blocking the view.

I have always loved Goldfish! As a former swim instructor, I have always said that they "had it figured out" - great class sizes, different levels, ribbons, weekly prizes, gender neutral changing rooms, warm pool, and ledge for kids to sit on. Amazing!
Now I am a nurse and I appreciate all the attention to detail they are offering for our safety. I will be honest - I was heartbroken at the idea of maybe having to cancel our membership with covid cases increasing. However - they have everyone's safety in mind! Sanitizer, face shield for instructors, social distancing in lobby, and now they have dividers between the kids! The kids that are waiting for their turn are not breathing on each other - there is a partition. Genius! I can not thank them enough! I now feel like I do not have to choose between safety and the physical/emotion health of my son (especially as things get colder and there are less options for physical activity!). THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Both my boys have attended GSS and I couldn't be more thrilled with the swim school. We have attended other swim schools in the past, and the care, professionalism and all around awesomeness far surpasses the other two swim schools we have attended. The team is very responsive to any questions we have had and cares deeply about their clients. Thank you Goldfish for playing such an important role in my boys development!

Goldfish swim school in Stapleton has done a tremendous amount of work to get these kids back in the pool during COVID pandemic. We feel safe going to swim lessons with all the safety changes they made. Staff and swim instructors are kind, patient, and very helpful. Thanks for making this a fun experience to learn such an important life skill.

The infant class I had my daughter in lost its regular instructor. Since then we've had a different instructor each week. Some of the instructors were really good; most were mediocre at best. The class follows the exact same format and is nothing you couldn't do on your own at the rec center. Also, their missed class and cancellation policy is unnecessarily onerous.

Great place to bring your kids. My daughter loves Marcellus. He pushes her to swim on her own. My daughter was very afraid of water, & he taught her technique to feel more comfortable. The reason why I am giving it 3 stars, is because the amount I pay a month, for 30 mins lesson with 3 or 4 kids in her swim class. So there not much one on one hands on. She goes on wed & thur evenings. I feel like, there should be a options on a private lesson, one on one, for 30 mins.

I really like the facilities, it is well maintained and clean, they have everything you need. They have a lot of hours available including weekends, which is convenient for parents who work and do not have flexible schedules, I like the classes and the fact that before the class ends they tell you how your child did. I have used other swimming schools before and this one is by far the best.

My response to the owner:
The number you provided is the number I called. You just made up my mind to not send either of my children there. Although I appreciate that you took the time to respond, your response doesn't offer any sort of apology or attempt to better train your staff. When a parent calls to enroll their child, information should be given freely. In a society where people have an abundance of options, your staff should be trained to make people feel comfortable and want to send their child there.
We really wanted to try Goldfish for our daughter but when I asked about their program the woman on the phone told me the price and the name of the class and that's it. I continued to try to get information from her but it was like pulling teeth and when our call was over I still don't feel like I know anything about their program or pool. This location is closer to us but I guess we'll stick with the place we currently take our son to.

This place is awesome yes maybe a little pricey for a half hour one week....but of the instructors that work with my granddaughter which includes OJ, Luke & best of all hey girl by the name of Greta that just made my granddaughter feel absolutely comfortable her first lesson before that we spent the whole 45 minutes with her crying I was afraid to take her back I spoke to one of the girls they said the best thing to do was to bring her back she would be OK they gave me some reading material on why she still cries which made me a lot more comfortable! I spoke to the owner Amy this morning about a certain situation and she was awesome I wouldn't take my grandkids anywhere else!

At this point we've only taken our first lesson, but we've been impressed with the facility. Parents get to hang out for the half-hour lesson on the other side of a glass window so kiddos get the opportunity to see that their parents are still here supporting them. There is a small shop, candy, plenty of changing rooms and driers. There is no free swim area that is open all the time, but they do have a couple free swim intervals per week.

My children have been swimming at Goldfish for over a year and a half and have not progressed at all. My son’s teacher always seems to be upset and my son comes home telling me that his teacher always gets upset when he struggles in his class. My daughter is only 3 and cries when she gets in the pool and her teacher seems very frustrated and just lets her sit out and doesn’t try to reassure her. One time she almost threw up because she was crying so much but her teacher seemed indifferent about it. This makes me want to withdraw them and find a different school for them to swim at because I feel like they aren’t supported here. If I could leave zero stars, I would. But since I can’t, one star will have to suffice.

We signed up right after they opened and my son really enjoyed the classes. However, there has been ALOT of turnover and there are some great instructors and some that aren't worth paying for at all (honestly). I was disappointed that after an entire year at $85/month my 8yr son was still at the same basic level and when I gave notice no one ever contacted me when I left very polite feedback about why I was leaving temporarily.

Called in the morning a few hours before my son's swim class to reschedule due to a family circumstance that had come up. I was told to call back even if it was just a minute after my son't scheduled time and that they could reschedule at that point. Well, I called back at 1:30 (they close at 4) and called back 3 times before they closed leaving voicemails. Just doing as I was told to do, and call back, and nobody could pick up or answer. The only reason there are three stars on this review is because the swim coach my son sees is very nice and good with the kids and super good at teaching young children to swim. But their office crew... is another story.

My 11 months old has been going there for water safety skills for more than a month now. We love that the location is convenient within biking/walking distance. Staff are friendly and attentive to your needs, swim instructor my baby has is friendly and nice. I'm giving a 3* because of the rescheduling policy. Called in to cx and tried to reschedule a lesson for the first time, and was told that I could not rescheduled until after the scheduled lesson took place, even 1 min after is fine. Even though I was trying to reschedule for a date after the scheduled lesson, but couldn't. For my family, who runs on activities around another kid and husband's working schedule. I'd love to have it on my calendar to plan my week out as far I can, but its not possible with this place. There might be reasons behind this policy, but I'm not a fan.
