I love Golds gym, but the Customer Service is unacceptable. I frequently get protein shakes and this time, The young blonde girl made me a shake, and I was under the impression that it came with 2 scoops of add ons of my choice. So I picked protein and nothing else was appealing so for my free 2, I chose protein again. The total was 2 extra dollars. I was confused, I asked shouldn’t it be 6, she clarified that an extra scoop of protein counts as my extra. As someone who works in Customer Service, why wasn’t that made clear? She didn’t ask me if I knew it was going to be to be extra, I said I was confused and if there was anyway they could make the exception. All she said was “I already made the shake” I didn’t even buy the shake yet, and the answer was extremely lazy, there was 4 people just standing there looking at me so I felt pressured to buy it even though I didn’t want to. I’ve been going to Gold’s Gym for a long time, and stuff like this makes it extremely frustrating. Half the time they just sit there and talk, people will walk by and leave and not even a glance or have a good day/night. Gold’s Gym needs to improve their customer service at the front. I’ll happily change my rating to a 5 star if we can get something resolved.

Be cautious when signing up and when considering cancellation of your membership. Because if you want to cancel your membership before your next monthly payment, they will charge you the next month, even when you are not using the facility even one day of that month, because the payment are in a head, the lady on the phone said, rhe company use that money as a cancelation fee even when they cancelation of the membership is supposedly free. To cancel your subscription, please do so at least one month in advance.

The facility is clean, well-maintained, and offers a wide variety of equipment. The overall environment is also enjoyable, which makes it a good place to work out.

However, the membership pricing is significantly higher than what is reasonable for the services provided. The monthly fee does not include group classes or trainer access without additional costs. Even the most expensive plan only adds recovery and tanning, which does not justify the premium price point.

Another major concern is the handling of billing issues. The gym states that they are willing to work with members experiencing difficulties, but my experience proved otherwise. After being laid off, I informed management ahead of time that I might encounter payment problems. Despite this, I was repeatedly charged a $15 fee when my card declined. When I requested assistance, management refused and stated there was nothing they could do, even though I had been proactive in communicating my situation.

In terms of atmosphere and equipment, this is a quality gym. In terms of value and customer support, however, I cannot recommend it. Planet Fitness, for example, provides more flexibility with account balances, and other gyms in the area—such as VASA—offer a more comprehensive experience at a lower cost. Unfortunately, this location does not uphold the “Gold’s standard” that the name is known for, and members end up paying a premium without receiving equivalent benefits.

The gym is great! The customer service is trash.
They do not honor 1 day to try things out, like Gold's website advertises. They will not let you test or pay to test; massage chairs, tanning, or red light. I am a member and they would not allow this calling it "insurance reasons." (I call BS)

TO THE OWNERS: your employees are turning away sales and upsales. I would have left today with a premium membership, instead i might leave your gym for a local competitor.

The facility is amazing but it’s ruined by the massive amount of teenage boys STANDING AROUND talking or on their phones for 15-20 minutes while holding machines hostage and gawking at the women trying to focus on exercising. I’m happy to see young people exercising, and enjoying fitness, but they could go to other gyms. If all they’re going to do is stand around and socialize. I just want to work out without a group of teenage boys, staring at me and making me feel uncomfortable as a full grown married woman with children, completely covered up from head to toe and simply just trying to exercise for my mental health. I really wish this location would make some type of anti-loitering rule for the young people who simply go there to socialize. Otherwise, this gym is very clean and has all the equipment, including the amenities like sauna steam room, hot tub, pool massage chair, tanning beds, basketball courts

I see a lot of bad reviews about cleanliness however I find this gym to be quite clean, equipment, locker rooms, showers all seem very clean. Equipment works properly. Only concern is I wish you guys enforced the showering before using steam and sauna, as well as dress code for those amenities. Other than that I enjoy it

Sooo i went here for maybe a month or month and a half in that time ive had headphones, cash, and even water bottles stolen. You report it and thats it nothing much else you can do. The gym is self is barely clean, suana always stank, showers always has hair or god knows what else. I don't recommend paying for this membership especially when they basically charge you to cancel it no matter how good or bad the experience. Some of the staff members not all just sit there and if you cant scan your QR code they check you in manually and say “you should get the app” and how many more times they can manually do it even when you cant or having trouble and have already paid the membership. Im a very lenient person but my last gym trip was it. 4/11/25

Working in Greeley in the next couple months. This seemed like the best gym they have in town.

Front desk sounded annoyed I was asking about a membership.
Restrooms smell and are unusually dirty. Like there is barely any upkeep with the place. They dont have enough machines for the amount of people.

Golds gyms where I’m from have a reputation of being nice. Will have to deal with it for at least 2 months since thats the waiting period before canceling.

This is basically my only option where I live and I hate it here! Every person I ever talk to that works here is rude and doesn't care what you are asking. The place isn't very clean. Know for a fact the stand up has never been cleaned throughly. The same filth is there time after time. Same with the showers! They took away classes but didnt change the membership amount or send out an email announcement about?! I can go on and on. My only other option is Vasa which is just a tad worse than this place. You can tell upper management isn't involved and the workers just do what they want!

Edit after response: Morris is my maiden name that's why you couldn't find me in the system. How would I have photos of the sauna if I was never in the facility? I've been a member since 2020. I will definitely be sending an email, thanks.

Edit #2 : I changed my two stars to three because the gym equipment looks dusted now. The bathrooms are still dirty, and I emailed the owner as asked to do so with no response.

It’s alright if you don’t mind paying premium prices for a less than premium experience. For example, I tried buying a protein shake tonight and a half hour before close and was told the digesters were closed. 😑. They have a single leg extension machine for over ten thousand members. Sterile wipes stations are often empty. Etc. Little things like this that you’d expect from Vasa where you pay 20 bucks a month, but this is a A Golds Gym. You just expect more bang for your buck. Probably go to a discount gym after my year is up since you get the same or a slightly better experience.

Went to this Gym to register my mother for service , my mom only speaks spanish so we were told to speak with Jasmine at the front desk. She was incredibly rude and condescending. Barely spoke comprehensibly and rather than providing information in regards to our questions she proceeded to continuously have side conversations with her friend at the desk. My mom may only speak Spanish but I understand English perfectly and don’t care to hear about how registering a new member is an inconvenience to her chatting session. My mother did not receive any information regarding which classes are offered, what trainers are available, or amenities came with the membership she wanted, rather we got continuous eye rolls, and to hear the remainder of her and her coworkers issues.
Not professional and not who I would expect to work a customer service based position.

So I’ve been coming here for a few years now and I have to say that I am very impressed by how well-maintained and how friendly the staff is very helpful. Definitely makes you want to come into the gym every time. Their protein smoothies are the best. I travel a lot so I get to see different gyms all the time and this is one of my top number 1 gyms, plenty of space machines to work out the classes they offer is phenomenal so if you’re looking for the right, gym, you should definitely check this one out

Not a very good gym to go to. The equipment is dirty, the bathrooms haven't been cleaned in a week it looks like, and the staff are pretty unhelpful. I've been here a while and have seen so many personal trainers and front staff leave. They have a massive turn over which should tell you something how this gym is run.

The experience in the inside looks nice as they have done new paint in the past few years, but there is little effort to maintain that new look.

Probably the worst run gym I've ever been to. Kyle, the owner, is a liar, cheap, and unwilling to work with customers. Not to mention that the majority of the equipment there is dirt with sweat and dust all over the place. Kyle will tell you one thing about your account and then do something completely different. Do not sign up here at all costs.

I would highly recommend going to any other gym in Greeley for your health and exercise needs.

Have had Levie as a trainer for almost 2 years listens to my problems and adjusts my training to what I ask. Gold gym is an excellent place to train with a trainer or not.but suggest a trainer for a while so they can show the right and wrong way. THANK YOU GOLD GYM.

I'll start by saying this specific gym isn't horrible. For the time that I worked out here, I enjoyed it.

After signing up for the membership, I also signed up to have a personal trainer and paid them 400 dollars. That trainer continuously showed up late or even rescheduled our sessions because they were too busy or forgot about our sessions.

Later on, I moved further away and tried to cancel my membership but was told I could only cancel over the phone. After many calls with no answer, I had to cancel my credit card. I now owe them 350 dollars on top of paying them for months that I didn't go there.

This gym on it's own isn't bad. They have great equipment and a clean gym. However, I beg of anyone reading this to not make a deal with them. You're making a deal with the devil, and they will take every penny you have

Edit: Gold's Gym has since responded to this review, and here is my response. I did utilize all of my sessions with my trainer. However, there were multiple times I showed up to the gym for my scheduled session and promptly returned home because the trainer forgot about our session and had to reschedule.

I did receive multiple calls and emails AFTER I had cancelled my credit card that they were charging. I reached out to them countless times to cancel my membership with no response, but as soon as I stopped them from receiving my money, they were extremely diligent with returning my messages saying I owed them more.

No matter what the policy truly is for canceling memberships, it clearly isn't known to all staff members since customers can't get the same answer from them.

Worked out here for about a year while living in Evans, and honestly it's a nice, huge gym with pretty much any equipment you could ask for, but where they consistently lost me was that there is a horrible overarching ego/ "douche bag" mentality here and it's only further supported by quite a few staff members and trainers employed there as well. They would frequently participate in the toxic behaviors including but not limited to: not wiping down equipment, slamming weights, screaming/borderline moaning while lifting, running four people deep to a machine and then just chatting for an hour at the one machine etc etc.. It's also a damn good thing I mostly worked out there during down times because at peak times of the day the gym was PACKED and every group was three or four people only worried about flexing, taking pictures, and being absolutely obnoxious instead of lifting and leaving.

This gym only sees you as a dollar sign. I had tried canceling my membership since I don’t live in the area anymore and was unemployed and they told me I had to come in and sign. Once all that was said and done they proceeded to charge me $125 for my “membership fee” and a month of payment. This is absolutely outrageous and I will never recommend this gym. I would rather tell people to go to the sketchy Planet Fitness because at least they don’t use and abuse their customers.

I’d like to start by saying the gym itself is great! Good equipment etc. HOWEVER, the reason for my one star is for the interactions I have had with staff have been far from sub-par. Nearly every time I come in I am ignored and only acknowledged by front desk staff if I have a question. They don’t smile or even say hello. I have worked in the gym industry myself in the past; working as front desk staff at multiple gyms and know how they should be treating members whether or not they have their headphones in. They are also not knowledgeable about the membership questions or equipment. I asked about upgrading my membership to include the red light beds, asking if they were separate from the tanning bed and was informed “yes”. I signed up, paying an extra $25, then after my workout (1.5 hrs later on the same day) went back up to the desk and asked to use them. I confirmed with the staff that there were no UV lights and just red light and she stated that it was both tanning and red light in the same. I then asked to cancel and get a refund which she said she could do since it was the same day. As she was doing this another staff member came up and told me they could not refund me. When I said I would just call cooperate, she rudely replied that they aren’t apart of cooperate and then ignored me. She did not even attempt to resolve the issue or miscommunication on their end. I would love to continue using the gym but due to the interactions I have had, it just puts a bad taste in my mouth and I’m considering quitting all together.

The contract is deceitful.

They make it a nightmare to cancel the membership. I live out of state and had a membership while staying in/working out of Greeley. They will not allow you to cancel your membership over the phone - everything must be done through email, which they won't respond to. Throughout attempting to resolve this nonsense, their staff has been nothing but rude and unhelpful.

When they finally get around to responding to your email about canceling, they make you sign ANOTHER form agreeing to letting them charge for another month's worth of fees. What a rip-off.

Edit* now that the owner has responded to this review, dismissing my review as "completely false".

"21 minutes & 7 minutes" lol what a complete lie. This has taken DAYS and several calls and emails to resolve. What a clown.

I’m a person who comes to the gym to workout but to also use the basketball courts and it really irritates me and shocks me of how dirty this indoor court is. I have to clean my basketball and shoes because how dirty they get it’s like playing outdoors. I might as well play outdoors than pay for a membership that has the dirtiest court that I have ever seen. I thought gold’s gym was a gym where they have everything under good maintenance but instead I try my hardest to find somewhere else to play because of your dirty court. Completely agree with every one of these bad reviews, very unprofessional manager i’m not even sure how he got a job there. The quality of the equipment is alright for the most part but management completely sucks. I got my tooth knocked out for something that was completely unrelated to me and got kicked out for being involved but nothing happened to any of the people that did it. The manager didn’t even want to send in the footage to the cops when I filed a police report because he knew they were in the wrong and I didn’t do anything. I wish there was somebody who actually knew or cared what they were talking about to speak to. If I could leave more than one bad review I definitely would. DON’T GET A MEMBERSHIP HERE

EDIT: Kyles a lying sack, I filed a police repot and the officer clearly left her contact info asking to obtain footage from that day and he hasn’t cooperated at all. If theres this so called “video of me throwing punches” how come it hasn’t been sent to the officer who left her information for you ?! Sounds kinda odd that 5 people don’t have a membership but you need to sign up with your names to even have a guest pass. Its more than obvious and clear in the footage that I was assaulted and didn’t do anything but have my guard up for self defense NOT THROWING A SINGLE PUNCH. If you want to keep being ignorant I have medical record, hospital bills, and all the money in the world to get a lawyer. Karma really is one and all this will come back to Kyle and his sorry excuse for a gym ;) looks like he gets verbally bothered by all the bad reviews and has rude responses every time someone tells the truth and he’s in the wrong.

This is the absolute worst place to go for a gym membership. I signed up for the full package hoping to be able to use the personal trainer option to its fullest. I reached out to the gym about getting on a trainer's schedule multiple times and they kept telling me to use their online chat to get scheduled, I only heard back from one trainer after a month of having the membership and she flaked. When I signed up for the membership the employee copied over my address on my driver's license and I mentioned that it was not my current address and it needed to be corrected and she told me it didn't matter. It absolutely does matter, I hadn't paid attention to the automatic bill and I was behind. They apparently had been sending me mail to the address that was associated with my driver's license. I never received this mail due to not living at that address, they told me they emailed/called me as well but I never received any of those notifications either. They ended up sending the past due amount to collections and the agency ended up calling me and that's when I was notified. Their customer service absolutely sucked, when I brought it to their Managers attention they blamed me for the employee's mistake for not entering the correct address. Spend your time and money elsewhere.

Badass gym. I live in between Longmont and Greeley and go to both Gold’s gyms. I much prefer this one since it has a basketball court, swimming pool, better tanning beds, and a more open space in general (which is my personal preference). It’s been a while since I used the tanning bed here but I think they recently upgraded it. I also like the unisex sauna so the gf and I can still talk while hanging out in there.

Canceled my membership, (wasn't using it) but went in and talked to the owner ans signed a paper saying it was my month. My membership cost was 30 a month. Got a bill a month later saying I owed 263 dollars in cancelation and late fees. Now a collection agency is calling me saying I owe the money to them.

Golds gym I didn't get called or a text or a paper in the mail saying that. The only notice I have is the 263 dollar fine. Will not be paying either way.

I really enjoy that this gym opens at 04:00, today drove 22 minutes to the gym like I always do and it was not open. Everyone was waiting in the parking lot and after 25 minutes I gave up that someone would show up to open the facility. I understand this happen but this was beyond disappointing.

Had been going to the Longmont location because I worked nearby for 16 years. When I found a job closer to home I went to the Greeley location. Last year I was laid off and went to the Greeley location to cancel my membership. Five months later and several more attempts to cancel, I am still being charged!! They insist that I did not complete the cancellation paperwork and that there is nothing they can do. The also are threatening that if I file a fraud claim with my bank and have the charges reversed, that they will send me to collections! This company is unethical and practices unfair consumer entrapment! Don't get caught like I did. There are other gyms in the area that are fair and customer-oriented.

A couple months ago I left a 3 star review due to cleanliness issues, but since that time there has been a noticeable uptake in cleaning staff and regimens. I now often see hired staff cleaning during and throughout the day to ensure higher standards of cleanliness. The gym is also currently undergoing some remodeling to expand the lifting equipment and provide more space and machines, which is highly desired. I am impressed and happy to see the improvements being made all around. I’m feeling much more comfortable with the level of cleanliness and care that is going into the gym. Thanks Gold’s! Have been looking for a gym in Greeley to start going to, and this is definitely the best one. The other gyms in town I’ve tried are either too overcrowded or unclean, this place is perfect.

I just started my membership with Gold's back in Feb., and I really like it so far. I would've liked to get a tour of the gym, and gotten information about classes offered, training sessions etc. the day I signed up. It's a really nice gym with lots of equipment to use, however it seems the staff doesn't keep the women's locker room and bathrooms the cleanest, and the floors out in the training area needs some tending to. Other than that, it's a great gym to workout at. (I would give it 5 stars if it was just a little more cleaner)

Incredibly rude "manager". I signed up 2 months ago and was only interested in fitness classes. A notice just came out that fitness classes are going to be discontinued. I went to Gold's to cancel my membership and asked to talk to a manager. I asked if the $50 upgrade charge could be refunded (that was just taken out of my account), since I am cancelling due to classes being discontinued. I knew that the answer would probably be "no", but the "manager" was extremely rude and acted like I wasn't worth her time. I was kind and courteous, but she told me "no" and just walked away with her nose in the air. I didn't appreciate the way I was treated. Someone said she's not actually a manager. I'm glad I'm leaving this gym. Trashy.

This is definitely the best gym in Greeley, however as of lately the cleanliness of the gym has gone way down. The bathroom hasn’t been cleaned in over a week, (I know because I’ve gone 5 days in a row) and the same hair and makeup is still in the sinks. It’s gross. I even complained at the front desk. The “turf” area has so much hair and dirt in the “grass” that I am hesitant to do my stretching routine. I understand gyms are hard to keep clean, especially with the amount of people that come through, but something needs to be done. Cleaning should be happening daily. Not once per week. Hopefully something will change and soon.

4pm talk to owner(Kyle) about concern with inhaling odor of whatever maintenance personnel needed a respirator for but owner stated maintenance personnel will not change schedule

I understand chemicals are needed to maintain pool but i think it’s poor management to allow maintenance personnel to use chemicals in need of vapor respirator when people are actively swimming laps adjacent to maintenance room. The gym has hours of non operation when maintenance work can be done involving chemicals needing respirators. Nice facility just poorly managed.

I have really enjoyed Golds Gym Greeley. If you are looking for a intense team training class I would highly recommend Tues/Thur 5:30pm Afterburn with Torey! He has I tense workouts that can be modified for any level. He is personable and has a great sense of humor.

I’ve been going here for six months and my husband since they opened. Since I’ve been going here I’ve noticed when it is so overcrowded in the evenings so many people FAIL to use wipes and clean their machines. I’m finding myself always wiping before and after usage, the wipe machines are efficient to an extent, instead of the spray, but the staff are constantly having to walk the floor open them all up and get the towel out probably hourly because the majority of them aren’t popping up. Maybe instead of the smooth opening they should replace with a jagged edge opening to grasp the towel. I do enjoy it here nothing major to steer me away, the staff are nice and helpful at all times and I’ve noticed when machines are broken they’re fixed quickly, it’s just the overcrowding and cleanliness lately it’s a bit much and just an observation.

Mostly brand new gym with almost all the equipment you could expect it ask of a gym. The setup is nice also! After a lengthy absence from my old lifestyle, this was the perfect gym to get back into my routine and start working my way back to an efficient training program. I love the massage chairs and sauna additions that truly benefit the recovery of any workout. What's even better is that anytime I travel, my membership allows me access to any other Gold's location!

Just signed up and it's my first time with a gym-membership after always having a free gym . I can truly say that they have it figured out on the way they're set up as well as their services offered. Several rooms available when groups aren't in session. If you want your private space to do your own workout, or just a quiet corner away from the main weight-room and turf area, there is a smaller turf area tucked behind the basketball court. Super friendly staff and members. Definitely couldn't ask for a better Gym experience !

Everybody I talked to was very nice. It was very clean. I felt very comfortable going here. They offer yoga. The yoga instructor was good. A large variety of other classes to take. The equipment gives you easy to understand instructions if you have never used it. It has a pool it has extras for the person who wants to pay just a little more for membership. I hope to upgrade later. I appreciate not being hounded to upgrade right of way. I DEFINATELY recommend Gold's Gym.

I love this gym! Started coming to Dalton’s 5:30am Wednesday and Friday classes as a guest and was immediately motivated to sign up and continue his classes! The motivation he gives makes you want to continue the workout and not want to quit, which has happened at other places. Every time at the end of class no matter how tough the workout was I am always ready for the day. De stressing and getting into a healthier lifestyle is my absolute main priority and I’m thankful to have a trainer who cares about that just as much. Nice gym . It did start getting crowded as it got later in the day. This was the only gym open after Greeley was hit with a blizzard. Great equipment, seems clean but I still wore a mask and cleaned every time I used equipment.
