Near 70 years old, I've been playing since my early teens. After a 10-year break, began playing again in the spring, wondering if I could get back to, or better than, where I played a few years ago. My swing was decent, ok, but could use work if I wanted to make serious improvement. I began working with Hanna in the summer on a weekly basis. She dissected the flaws and gave me instruction to correct them. We also concluded my iron set was not suited to my swing and fit me to a new set (Taylormade P790). Together (once I started to get the irons dialed in) I am indeed playing better than ever and have regained nearly all the distance I had in younger days. One lesson to go in the current series, but we'll pick things up in the Spring.

TLDR: Jeff helped me improve by 15 strokes (PR went from 108 to 93 on the same course) in my first 2.5 months of working with him. If you are ready to put in the work, Golftec can make your effort actually translate to lower scores.
My golf struggle:
Iβve been playing golf since 2020. During that time, my commitment was on-and-off. During the times I was on (about a cumulative 18 months), I was very committed to improving. I read every golf book I could get my hands on, practiced 5 days per week, and frequently filmed my swing. I tried my best to identify my weak-points and work on them. Despite this dedication, I really struggled to get better. I never shot below a 108, and hadnβt meaningfully improved in 3 years. It felt like I was powerless to improve. It was an incredibly frustrating experience.
My breakthrough:
2.5 months ago, I started taking lessons from Jeff. In that time, my best score improved by 15 strokes (I shot a 93 last week on a 70.0/124 course). It's so much fun (and such a relief) to finally improve after struggling for so long. Jeff has been the missing piece that makes all the practice actually translate into improvement. Each lesson, he identifies the area of my game than needs the most improvement, and gives me a few really clear things to work on, which is so helpful because it greatly streamlines my practice time.
My practice routine:
During that time, I have been practicing for 30-60 minutes every day, frequently filming my swing, playing 9/18 holes 1-2x per week, and reading golf books. But I try my best to only focus on the things Jeff tells me to work on. And so far, itβs working wonders.
Iβm really grateful to Jeff and Golftec, and hope to continue to improve going forward.

Working with Hanna over the winter was great! She helped me understand a ton about my swing and how to approach the golf course!

Working with GolfTec and specifically my coach Dillon Serna has been an outstanding experience. If you want to learn the ins and outs of how a golf swing works and you love the technical details of why a gold ball does what it does, no better place then GolfTec and a great coach like Dillon.

I can not recommend GolfTec in Boulder.
Very bad experience with management.
Argumentative and obtuse

Want to tune up your game or even just want to learn how to golf? Then, GolfTec is the place for you. My coach, Hannah, has helped me tremendously, having completed 5 lessons so far. Great facility. A little pricey, but worth it if you desire improvement. With golf course fees being what they are, consider GolfTec an investment to generate much improved "returns" for your game.

Club fitting tech is excellent. Facility is small but nice. But there is only so much an instructor can help you with if they are not on the course with you. It is an extremely linear teaching process and there is no baseline or metric to determine growth. If you are a 10-15 or better you'd be much better served getting lessons on the course versus this basic one size fits all approach. The coach I had seemed very over worked. For the huge price tag I paid could have got 17 on the course from the instructor at flatirons, who is one of the nicest guys on the planet.

Great golf instruction model! Process effectively balances the "feel" aspect of the game with facts and data for positive reinforcement.

Golftec has been a great! I never had any formal training and didn't even start playing golf until I was 27. Jeff McNair, my personal coach, has helped me tremendously with my swing. I joined Golftec shooting in the 100's and am now consistently in the 80's. Thanks, Jeff!

Thrilled I found Golftec Boulder. Scott O has changed my game, and fast. His fixes show immediate results on the course, he knows the key Golftec data KPIs you hone in on, and even does on-course lessons. I've been thrilled and my scores are already dropping, and I'm only 20% into my first year's subscription. Highly recommend.

I am currently taking golf lessons with Ben and have noticed immediate improvements in my swing. Ben identified 1-2 key aspects of my swing that need adjustments. He gives simple, concise cues and that I can implement right away. Thanks Ben.

Not all Golftecs are the same. Boulder Golftec is great for 3 reasons.
1) The instructors know their stuff. I've been playing golf for 20 years and have learned that it is important to have a golf pro that can work with your swing. Scott, Ben and Mike really know the swing and its dynamics.
2) The equipment. What sets Golftec Boulder apart from others is its launch monitors, video screens, and simulators. The staff really understand the numbers this technology generates. I had an inside path with an open to the target line club face (but shut to the club head path) and a shallow angle of attack. This information helped them target a program to help my impact dynamics.
3) The staff all LOVE golf. No jaded pros here. If they aren't teaching they are out playing which is really cool. I enjoy taking lessons from folks with as much passion for the game as myself.
If you like to play golf and want to get better at the game Golftec Boulder is a great place to go.
