Golftec bought Skytrack Plus launch monitors and now doesn’t allow you to use camera software integration with the launch monitor. If you’re not getting lessons from them they don’t even want you videoing your own swing. All these big companies care about is making money.

Where to begin?

I've had a great experience interacting with all the coaches at Golf Tec. My expectations have been exceeded at every turn, and I'll do my best to briefly describe my experiences because the reality is if you're looking for a place to get lessons, I'll save you time. There is no better value out there to get lessons in Northern Colorado... period.

I was in the market for golf lessons and after talking with two friends of mine (former CSU golf coach and the other being scratch) they both recommended Golf Tec. I had read mixed reviews online, and as a result, decided that a swing evaluation would be a great place to start. Worst case I was out a little $ if I didn't move forward but it was worth it to me to assess relationship fit, skill from the coach, etc. Especially because most good coaches charge $250 for a lesson. I hit it off with Brandon (my coach), and within 30 minutes knew there was a solid potential to have a great working relationship. A balance of humor, great cues, and the technology to help me experience/see (feel is not real) what was going on and I signed up for a 6 month package including lessons, unlimited practice (crazy value), and a free club fitting (no expectation of purchasing clubs).

I'm about halfway through my package and couldn't be more pleased. I've made consistent strides in both my understanding of the golf swing and being able to put what I've learned into practice sessions and have seen it translate while on the course. I understand how to have effective practice, setting goals and drills vs just headed to the range and banging on balls.

What recently inspired me to give this review was the club fitting experience. Having someone fit me into clubs who has come to know my swing over several months has been invaluable. Both for selecting the right irons, but also for my own education, goal setting, and confidence as a player.

The icing on the cake is that as I have come to know the other coaches in the building, everyone is very friendly, calling you by your name, and even helping provide pointers when you're in for practice despite them not being your assigned coach.

Are there cheaper options out there? Possibly. Is there better value for what I was looking for? I doubt it.

5/5 stars. Do yourself a solid and if you want to make progress in your golf game, book a swing evaluation. You won't regret it.

I like the lessons and the concept. The instructors are good, but change every 6 months. Sometimes it’s hard to book for the time and day you want. Credits expire and you will lose them and at $60- $70 dollars a credit that sucks……

Golf Tec is a great resource for golfers at any level. My golf game a year ago would be best described as a gravel road. It was a bumpy dusty mess! In other words it was not ‘up to par’ as would have liked it to be. However After Only a year of working with Ashton Opperman once a week my golf game has become a paved highway and thus makes ‘driving’ a much more enjoyable experience! Golf as I now know is just like a road that will occasionally need a pot hole repaired, new lines painted in or even re-paving done year after year. Thankfully having The Golf Tec facility Available along with a knowledgable coach like Ashton, my golf game will Continue to improve while also keeping the game of golf all around more enjoyable.

If you're looking to get dialed in for a better golf performance and want to understand the dynamics of your swing, this is the place. They dialed me in with the exact driver head and shaft that fits my swing speed. Instant improvement on my driving and will lead to lower scores for me which is exactly what I was looking for.

Drove from Nebraska to get fitted for new irons. I have to say the entire process was very cool. Alex was my club fitter, he made the entire process very relaxed and fun. The knowledge he has about the spin rates and angles is awesome. Definitely worth the trip. Can’t wait for the new Mizuno Irons to show up. Nothing but high praise from me.

Brad and the folks at GOLFTEC Fort Collins are the best. Incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and no nonsense. Not to mention their facility is second to none! I had a swing analysis last summer and Brad was able to identify some specific areas of my swing for me to work on that tremendously helped my game. Their data driven/no sales pressure approach sets them apart. They really just want you to play better golf. I highly recommend these guys!

I love going to GolfTEC. I have been going here for almost one year. I wanted to improve my golf game so I could play with my friends and not be embarrassed. I never had any formal lessons before so I had some bad habits to break through. I scheduled a swing evaluation to see what I needed help with. This was a 90 minute evaluation and discussion on what my goals were. Brad then showed me on the TV monitors step by step what my swing looked like from side and front. He then showed me what it should look like. Who did he compare me too? Tiger Woods! Then he showed me around the facility and described the advantages to their place vs a golf club. This place is indoors so you can practice year around. They have 3 bays for practice and coaching sessions. Then for the ultimate experience you can play on a 3D virtual reality screen. You can play on almost any golf course in the world. You can even bring in friends to play as well. They can also customize fit you to new clubs that will take your game to the next level. They can also evaluate your current clubs to see if they can help you improve your game with them as well.
I have been taking lessons for the past 11 months and have had a great experience. I will be referring all my golfing friends to Brad and Brandon.
