Training with Rick has been outstanding. He really knows how to get the best out of each person and he tailors the training session to each person or couple. He also is really good about pushing you but being very careful not to risk injury. Form and function are more important.

As a 35-year-old man, I had always assumed a personal trainer would be a waste of money for me, because I could figure out a gym, right? Turns out making meaningful progress on your body is more than just being able to follow the diagrams on machines!

Rick's approach is very personalized - he will push you every workout, but is very careful to prevent any discomfort or injury by focusing on proper form. He's motivating without being aggressive, and rounds out the physical fitness with good nutritional advice. The facilities are very clean, and you don't have to worry about competing with anyone else to get the most out of your workout.

I've tried "getting in shape" many times before, and luckily my genetics have made it not impossible to lose weight and tone up some. But with Rick, I can see and feel my body really changing, and in only a couple of months' time!

Rick at Gusler Body Sculpting is an amazing and Patient personal trainer. I started training with him 5 or so years ago, by that time I had fallen significantly out of shape and had no endurance. I've been under Rick's instruction for almost a year now, and it's been great. I was leery of circuit training given some old injuries I'd been nursing, but Rick is conscientious and responsive, and after some weeks starting slow, my strength has grown such that my injuries no longer bother me. I look better and feel better than I did before I started this program.

The facilities and equipment are clean and one-on-one instruction means no distractions. Rick keeps me on track, gives great advice and encouragement even through exercises I don't particularly like, and the regimens he lays out are better and more effective than any I can come up with myself. I would recommend him to anyone who doesn't know where to start when it comes to fitness, or just needs someone to keep them focused. Sometimes it can be hard to lift through the slower-paced 80's power ballads playing through the PA, but you'll be glad you did.

I leave my house in the dark three mornings a week to work out at 6:00am with Rick Gusler… and it’s TOTALLY worth it! I am a woman in my late 40’s who has never been overweight, but I have been “skinny fat” since my 30’s. Being tall and thin does not equal strong and fit. In addition, I broke my tib/fib (which required a titanium rod from my ankle to my knee) and tore an intercostal muscle from my ribcage. These two injuries have been a real exercise obstacle for me… no matter what I tried…yoga, pilates, spinning, etc. Frustrated and feeling in the worst shape every, I decided to find a trainer who would work one-on-one with me to help me get strong and fit, while avoiding re-injury to my leg and rib. Rick Gusler is the man! He designed a custom workout plan for me and we started out very slowly. In the past, I have always had to stop whatever workout I was doing due to the pain in my leg and/or rib that required weeks of rest, then I would start again, and ultimately the pain would return, and so on. This is the only time I have been able to work out continually without pain. Rick knew strengthening my core and quads would help tremendously with my injuries and he was right. My goal was not to lose a bunch of weight, but to get strong and leaner. My jeans started fitting better after two months and I definitely have more energy and confidence. Rick is extremely organized and thoughtful in how he structures my workouts each month and, while they can be pretty tough, he’s just the right mix of drill sergeant and cheerleader that encourages me to hang in there and push myself. I honestly feel better than I have since my 20’s!!!

Every minute of the workout is hard but it is the most rewarding feeling after every single session knowing you are pushing your body to its fullest potential. I started attending Gusler Body Sculpting in November of 2013. Having not been in good Physical shape for a number of years, I was somewhat apprehensive about starting with a trainer. I found Rick to be a caring and concerned individual with a great deal of knowledge about physical conditioning. The facilities are bright, cheery and well maintained. With Rick's guidance and support, I have lost about thirty pounds and gained strength and stamina. I began my training sessions with Rick Gusler because I had hit the age of 40 and noticed my weight had been creeping up to an uncomfortable level over the past few years. I am a petite woman, a former high school gymnast, who was voted "best legs" in high school. Turning 40 was a milestone for me, and I wanted to be "fit and fabulous", not " forty and frumpy". Like many, I hold a desk job and besides sitting at my computer for hours on end, I also spend lots of time on my bum in my car and driving my child around to his activities.
