I do travel physical therapy, so I usually have to try a new gym every 3-6 months, which can make it hard to hit a groove, but CrossFit Juke Joint is far and away the best gym I have ever been to. Sung is an excellent coach and an even better human. Alana is so encouraging and fun. Day one I felt like I had a new group of friends. I’ve been waiting for another gym to be as great as this one but - still waiting. Thanks for everything CrossFit Juke Joint

Dropped in while passing through town amidst the COVID situation. Lots of CrossFit gyms aren't allowing drop-ins so I was grateful that Song and Juke Joint did. The coaches were friendly and encouraging and the class was nice and small. I would definitely go back the next time I'm in Grand Junction. The only thing I disliked was they made us wear masks while we worked out. There was plenty of room to distance inside during the workout.

I've been doing CrossFit in town for 11 years. I have been a member of three boxes here in town and have dropped in to other boxes in other states/countries. CrossFit is CrossFit. There is a daily wod and everyone does it and there is a coach leading the class. The difference here at Juke Joint is the coaching. Sung is DEDICATED to making you better. Regardless of your experience or ability, he starts out with the basic mechanics of every move. Safety and proper form are his main objectives. He never sits back and just has you go through the motions when he sees something isn't right. Do you have past injuries? Sung is your coach. He works with everyone individually to meet their goals and can help you meet yours through movement modifications around your weaker areas.

Sung is the BEST coach in the valley. If you have never done CrossFit, this is the place to get the best start from day one. If you're an experienced lifter or CrossFitter and want to continue to PR your lifts, there is no better place in town.

The other thing worth noting is Sung's commitment to community safety where COVID is concerned. He has implemented all state mandated rules and keeps the box clean and disinfected. You won't find anyone in town more committed to his members.

Lastly, this isn't just a place to workout. We're a community. We have BBQs, hike and float the river together. If community and friendship is important to you then this is your gym. Sung always has a trial deal so you have nothing to lose.

Deserves less than a 1 star rating, sadly. I stopped by after work, on my way home. I was looking for a place to work out and learn, get in shape, find support.
I could barely get in the front door. The dog, "Ray Ray", is extremely friendly. I love dogs. Unfortunately, the dog has little training. A gentleman came from around the storage bins, saw that the dog was jumping all over me and just kept calling him, telling him to get down. I had to put my hand on top of the dogs head and push him off of me, several times. In the commotion, the dog had broken my necklace. I removed it and set it aside with my keys and tried talking to the man bun stoner guy. The place reeked of pot even with all the bay doors open. I realize this is Colorado and pot is pretty common. I expected more from a Cross Fit. I then felt something tugging at my foot, looked down to see the dog trying to chew on my shoe. Man bun guy just kinda laughed. I had enough. I left. Definitely NOT what I expected. I will try another Cross Fit. Hopefully, it will be a better experience.
