My daughter has been going here for about a year and a half and loves it. She started in Beginner, progressed through Intermediate and Advanced, and is currently in Pre-Team. Instruction has been consistently good and it has been very fun to watch her steady improvement. All the coaches seem caring and competent and she especially loves Rachael, even though she says Rachael always works them hard (lol). We haven't experienced any drama here; in addition to the coaches, Lacy and the front desk staff all seem great. I especially love Claire, who may be the nicest and sweetest person I have ever interacted with. The online portal is easy to use and we love the competitively priced "Days at GU" they offer during days off school. No complaints and very happy to be here.

Understaffed, disorganized, inconsistent coaching, deeply unprofessional management. The core issue is the manager. Unfortunately, it’s the kids who pour their hearts into this gym that end up paying the price for adult dysfunction.
Short Version:
We were at GU for 8 years. Leaving was incredibly hard for our 10-year-old, but after trying out four other gyms this summer, all of which were more professional, supportive, and organized, we saw clearly how toxic GU had become. Coaches at other gyms were engaged, hands-on, communicative, and building real community. At GU, coaches were often distracted, on their phones, and disconnected from the kids.
If you want your child to grow in skill, confidence, and character, look elsewhere. GU may be more convenient or cheaper, but it comes at a much higher emotional and developmental cost.
** Saddest part? Skip to **
Longer Version: more details
Our daughter spent 8 years at GU. The early years were mostly positive, but things changed dramatically when management shifted. The current manager, has far too much unchecked authority and, in our experience, lacks the professionalism and emotional maturity required for her role. The problems became even more obvious this summer when the lead coaches were gone.
Trying to talk to the current manager is like reading her responses to reviews: defensive, dismissive, argumentative, and she rewrites narratives to shift blame. She speaks over you, interprets and listens very little. There’s another husband/wife review here that mirrors our own experience, and we’re familiar with the events behind that one, too. This experience is not unique to us. We know a number of families that have left the gym for the same reasons.
Over the last year we’ve witnessed multiple uncomfortable scenes in the waiting room: parents confronting one another over bullying, unprofessional interaction between the manager and customers, frequent miscommunications, dropped details, etc. Despite growing concerns, we stayed for our daughter, who was deeply committed. We kept a low profile until an injury forced us to have direct conversations with the manager. Things like pausing payments and time off per her doctor’s orders. These basic requests became needlessly difficult. At no point did the manager express concern for our daughter’s wellbeing.
Most recently, my husband, who had not previously been involved, calmly asked for clarification in person. She responded as she usually does, confrontationally. She later called him back under the pretense of offering a solution (to a problem we did not have). Instead of resolving things, she accused him of lying and insulted our family. At this point my husband did get upset and the conversation escalated. She even suggested pulling our daughter out of her class mid-practice. He declined.
I followed up privately to de-escalate things. Hoping to give her an opportunity to reflect and for us all to reset. She rewrote the story (we had a witness and recording) and painted my husband as “aggressive,” something anyone who knows him would find laughable. .
That’s when we decided to give our notice.
**The most heartbreaking part? Watching our 10-year-old daughter come to her final 2-weeks of practice and feel completely invisible! No coach, staff member, owner, or teammate acknowledged her 8 years of hard work and dedication to the gym. On her last day, she packed up her locker alone, tears in her eyes, and chased down her coach,-the managers daughter- to say goodbye and tell her she “loved” her.
That moment was heartbreaking. But it was also confirmation: this was never a healthy environment for her.
She’s now at a new gym where she’s thriving. It’s night and day: welcoming, consistent, well-run, and truly invested in its athletes.
Bottom line: if you fit into GU’s inner circle, you may have a good experience, but if not I worry you’ll have the same experience as we did. Disorganization, poor communication, and an unhealthy environment for your child. Our daughter deserved better. So does yours.

Front desk is super bad at explaining policy & procedures. Lacy the manager is rude and likes to interrupt a lot. They stole over $100 from us and denied us a refund just because we didn’t want to continue classes with them anymore. Do not recommend this place.

This place is a rip off. $190 for my kid to barely do any gymnastics. 1 teacher is teaching a class of 10 toddlers and the other teacher is sitting on the floor with them doing nothing. They should a tleast have the other teacher doing some different activity with them while the other teacher has a kid on the trampolines.
They also stole $126 from us and say they don’t allow refunds. I overpaid my passed due balance leaving me with $126 left over which they are forcing me to either forfeit or I HAVE to sign up and use the remaining money for their next session of classes. How is that fair?
Definitely do not recommend.

Our son had his 7th birthday party here and it was an absolute blast for him and his friends! The coaches were amazing with helping them to have a safe and fun time, and the space provided for a party room was perfect size for our get together! This is a hidden little gem and deserves a consideration if you’re hosting a birthday party of your own. When we got done our daughter immediately told us that she wanted her birthday to be there too! See you in April!!

This place is amazing!! I signed up my daughter for a trial a couple weeks ago and she had a blast! It was super easy to enroll her in class and she adores her coaches! She is just a beginner but they were very kind and patient with her. Her next goal is the Olympics!! I’m glad I started her gymnastics journey at GU!

I had my daughter enrolled in a session and that was enough for me of this place. The front desk staff made me feel like I didn’t belong there and they seemed always so judgmental(not very welcoming). They definitely can use a customer service training. My daughter was eager to learn but it seemed like they were only focusing on certain girls. My daughter also got yelled out by one of the coaches for wearing her snow boots inside but was never instructed where to put them when she first came in so I confronted the coach and ask her in the same tone of voice where was she supposed to leave them. I personally would never pay for a service where I don’t feel welcome. There are Plenty of other schools to choose from here. This place has potential if they had the proper staff and environment. However, based on my previous experience I wouldn’t take her back there.

Both of my girls (ages 3 and 6) have taken beginner classes at Gymnastics Unlimited and our family has had a wonderful experience with the gym. All of the instructors we've had have been great and fun to work with and I can see the improvements in both of my girls skill sets. There's a bunch of different days and times for each level and the receptionists are always extremely helpful if you have questions. Give this gym a try, you won't be disappointed!

My daughter has been enrolled in classes at Gymnastics Unlimited for 6 months now and it has been awesome to watch her skills improve. The coaches are amazing. Make-up classes make it easy to keep her skill level up. Plus, open gym on Saturday mornings are a great time for her to improve on what she is most interested in. This is the place for gymnastics!

**Now you bring up my husband and try to slander him with the ONE thing you could never peg him for – but you wouldn’t know that, you have no idea who he is. I’m not mad I “didn’t get what I wanted.” This is 6 months of communication issues. What was our extenuating circumstance? You never cared to listen. I didn’t ask you to fire anyone, I asked you to address a privacy concern I had -yes, I am owed a response regarding the safety of my child. We left our last gym on good terms. They didn’t have the DP program. This is not the only negative review you accuse others of false info. A habit reveals itself. Your last resort is intentionally making stuff up. Hubris initiated this review, and only then did you finally contact me. You retaliate against a child, and now a hilariously poor attempt at my spouse, and our previous gym. Better a fool keep her mouth shut than open it and remove any doubt.
*Edited: Original post below. This is an update. I know it's long, bear with me*
The manager called me after seeing this negative review. After a one-sided anger-filled tirade about how MY experience wasn’t true, she decided to take it out on my child and punish her by kicking her out of the gym. Emotional immaturity and inability to take criticism is a massive character flaw for an adult and should be a reg flag for anyone. Here’s how to respond when you have an issue with a client: “hey, I saw your review and I can see that I’ve missed something here. Do you mind coming in so we can talk about it? I would like to see how we can clear this up.” Or any other such response (or any response prior to leaving a review) would have likely resulted in me changing this review to 5 stars. Unfortunately, the only time I was emailed back was AFTER I asked her to respond. Instead, she flung accusations that I provided false information. MY experience and MY situation were unfortunate, with no resolution – not even a conversation. I stand by my original review below, and I did nothing wrong by being honest with the public about it. As if I have time to sit down and fabricate random things about the gym my daughter adores. What really happened is the manager felt entitled to ignore our circumstances without so much as a conversation. Asking to be considered for an exception is not the same as asking to be treated more special than others, (and I fully understand that after I had been heard there may not have been any changes - I could have accepted that knowing we both tried). As a result she earned this bad review. So, if you have any issues with this gym, just know the manager might punish your child for it. If you have privacy/saftey concerns, she will claim she doesn't "owe" you an answer. Disgusting behavior.
ORIGINAL:
Manager won't respond or communicate with you if she "feels like there's nothing to say." A complete lack of professionalism from the front office. See more:
Every business has struggles, but usually owners/managers step in to help fill gaps. This gym seems to have a high coach turnover, resulting in instantly changed schedules with no regard to other commitments made prior to the change, and they'll still charge you for it. So, if you rearrange your entire life, they'll switch it up again. Without any gaps filled, my daughters schedule has changed twice in 4 months, leaving us having to cancel on others (like therapists we've waited months to get). When the office is contacted about this, there's no response. When I emailed the office about a potential privacy threat from the "gym photographer," there was silence (hello, USAG needs to protect their girls right?) And, finally - I've a had friend on the wait list to get in, and that mom has never heard back. Basically, this is more about management than anything. I find the coaches great - the skills get better with them. My daughter had a great competition season, and I look forward to seeing her progress. But the owner really needs to button up communication, offer exceptions, and remember that parents are the most important client here.

My niece was in gymnastics at this location for over two years. She quickly “lost interest” in gymnastics because it got “too hard”. After dozens of talks about quitting something when it gets hard, she finally admitted that she was getting bullied by the other girls and the coaches didn’t do anything about it. We had confronted the coaches, who were very cliquey with some of the younger girls, who were the bullies, they admitted that my niece had been being bullied and said they’d “talk to the other girls” about bullying. A couple weeks passed and nothing was done so we decided to pull her from Gymnastics Unlimited and put her in a more successful gym and she hasn’t been happier. The coaches are young, immature, and some of the students like to form cliques and bully other girls. Keep this in mind before you enroll your young ones in this program.

When I enrolled my daughter I was told they would offer a law enforcement/ military discount of 10 percent. The discount was only applied to our first session not any moving forward. Maybe I should of been more specific. Who knows.
My daughter began in the beginners class which took place upstairs. The staff had their good and bad days. Some times they were cheerful and other days in a bad mood. I took my daughter out of that class and placed her in the 5:05- 6:05 Tuesday class. This one was more advanced. The first day of class I had to tell the manager that her staff wasn’t helping me daughter with stretching which is very important. (I apologized because I felt like I was asking for a lot, but my daughter’s safety means a lot to me.) The manager or owner corrected her staff but next Tuesday it was the same thing all over again. I’ve had to address the attitude of the staff to the front desk assistant multiple times. There is one individual who works at the front desk who is super kind and polite. Unfortunately, my daughter broke her arm and is unable to return until she is healed. I asked for a refund and was told someone would call me. I called the next day and the manager informed me that she is able to issue a refund because that is how she pays her stuff. I would of accepted that but when I asked for documentation, because I felt like this was unfair. She told me it was in their policy. I was never informed of this in their policy when I enrolled my daughter. Which is my mistake for not asking in depth questions. I would much rather be out $135 then return to this facility.

Had the worst experiences with this gym. They traumatized my child. She was a level 3 usa gymnast, the coach sabotaged her and refused to coach her, insulted her, told her she wasn’t good and for 8 months she wasn’t coach When we reported it to the owners, it was ignored. We finally left and found a new gym After she cried every day after practice because of the bullying that was happening by other students, and the coach. There’s no supervision by adults, lack of quality coaches and children are running the classes. No thank you.

I do not recommend this at all if you're just trying to introduce a toddler to tumbling and gymnastics they have young kids who have no business or no experience with children that just kind of stand around and ask a 2-year-old to listen horrible horrible horrible. there is zero interaction between the child that's teaching the class and the young child student this is the worst display of anything that I've ever seen I'm speechless

Open, welcoming environment with great instruction. My daughter loves it here! That said, their office communication could be better - no email, lots of paper handouts, most info about billing, events, and holidays is last minute, which makes it hard to plan ahead.
