Great gym the people are cool, the gym has so much potential when it comes to the size and the amount of machines they have: the green room in the back has enough room for more machines, water stations def need to be cleaned and updated to colder temps.
bathrooms don’t stay up to date with cleanliness. some lockers are broken and don’t lock. carpet in changing area kinda stinks, def need to start closing at 10 or 11 pm. 9pm for the price is kinda silly

It's a good place to workout. They have all the basic cardio machines and weight machines. They have free weights and trx type setups. There is a dry sauna and a steam room. The changing rooms are clean. Showers are also kept clean. They also provide towels is you need them.
The gym room with various free weights and training classes is usually hot! There are fans but it seems the air conditioning didn't work very well.
They also have classes like spinning and body pump along with HIIT training classes and kickboxing.
It's usually not very crowded except for some peak times.

I have been going here for over 12 years. I have seen a lot of changes, but since it was bought out by Hyland Hills, it hasn't been the same. I miss the old manager, Dave. It was the only time, in all the years I have been there, that the facility flourished. He was good at what he did. Very disappointing they lost him.

My fiance and I do drop ins once in a while and we love this place! The staff is so friendly, all the machines work, there is a plethora of cardio options, weights, etc. I love the affordability and the atmosphere overall. It doesn’t feel overwhelming or competitive like other gyms we’ve been to!

Such a nice and clean gym. Started coming here for 2 weeks and this has been the only gym I’ve felt comfortable being in within the area. It is so calm and not so crowded you can get a workout in without having to wait for equipment. The staff is great and the locker rooms are very clean.

I’ve been to every gym in the north metro area, this one by far on every level wins 1st place, as a local business owner and a non native I can give a transparent review here letting anyone out there know that you should definitely give this place a try if your unsatisfied with your current gym. Even better than lifetime. People who like vasa just stay there so you don’t pollute this beautiful gym experience. This place is so clean there’s wipes everywhere hand sanitizer everywhere. The bathroom and locker room is absolute luxury.

I’ve been in town briefly and this gym just happened to come up but I’m really glad it did. So Giant facility with all kinds of things and you’ll definitely be able to fit your needs and the price can’t be beat and the staff is very friendly and accommodating not to mention really nice and clean locker room with both steam and standard sauna.

I moved to the area a few months ago and was looking for a gym not far from my apt complex. Fit by hyland hills was more than affordable, especially for the location. I was skeptical on the quality of the facility due to the price being so low, but they had a 7 day trial so I figured I’d give it a shot. This is an A+ facility. Far exceeded my expectations! When they gave me the tour, I kept saying “and this is included in the membership?” Huge free weight section. Lots of assisted equipment. One of the nicest cardio sections I’ve seen. The facility is always clean, and the staff is extremely helpful.

They've added so much more yoga. I've tried all of the classes i thought i could do, the only thing I'm ok at is yoga. They've added teachers and so many more classes. Almost up to 4 times weekly at 530pm, woohoo. Still some issues with communication, but better.

I love Hyland Hills FIT!!!
I absolutely love the locker room, bathroom areas. Your waiting areas are incredibly fancy looking very first class! So beautiful with so much room in resting area in the locker room area and by the massage, sauna area as well as outfront by the fireplace waiting area. I also, absolutely love the warm-up area. It's such a wonderful big area and I love the two recumbent bikes that have the scenery plus I love the sauna.
PLUS you can beat the parking!!! Plant of parking and usually not packed.
I do wish it had infrared sauna not dry sauna, hydro massage chairs, pool and hot tub and circuit. But it is a beautiful facility.

I like the fact the guests are mindful of one another, as I always see them wiping down equipment and restacking weights. My only side grievance is that there pieces of equipment that are missing adjustment knobs, such as the seated leg curl, and the calve machine is in desperate need of new roller bearings or a good greaes job, and people using fragances in the steam room, don't be that person please.

This is the best gym I’ve ever had a membership at. Feels like a hidden gem; a rare high quality gym where you don’t have to worry about getting the machine you’re on taken by somebody after walking 5 feet to get a drink. It’s the only gym I would dare go to at peak time. Great job Fit!

Decent gym with nice locker rooms, that have a sauna and steam room (IF they're working). Relativity friendly staff. There's even a rock climbing wall, although it's never open. HOWEVER, this facility has changed ownership several times since it's beginning, with Hyland Hills being the current owner. Unfortunately, Hyland Hills lacks expertise in running and managing a full sized gym, which is a major issue - golf courses and a water park aren't remotely the same thing. Every year there's a burst water pipe, malfunctioning water heaters, or major building upgrades that temporarily shut down the entire gym. The majority of exercise equipment was also inherited with their purchase of the facility, is older, and is not properly maintained.
I learned this the hard way when my scalp was horribly split open from a weight bar and cable that had completely separated (unthreaded) from the anchor rod and weights while in use. Urgent care and many stitches were required immediately afterwards. Basic maintenance would have easily prevented such a mishap. Hyland Hills is also a public entity, which accepts no responsibility whatsoever for injuries in their facility from their own negligence. If you're asked to sign a waiver while considering joining, don't do it! You might regret it. There are now plenty of other gyms around the area (post-Covid), most of whom have better maintained machines and much newer equipment. You've been warned.

Excellent gym with solid pricing for local residents and a good suite of amenities as well as classes included and a rock climbing wall with rotating set up and instructor.
Equipment is all in good shape, people are courteous and staff seems well engaged in helping keep place well maintained.
Overall only thing it really needs is more classes outside 9am to 5pm as most people have to work during standard business hours. Still would say it is well worth it and full stars for a gym as many gyms are rather mediocre and try and take every cent they can, you can expect a better experience here.
Also they paused my membership when I went on deployment so 10/10 for being cool about that.

if you’re legitimate about getting in and getting your stuff done, with plenty of workout options, this spot is so money. They have so much space for all equipment. Almost anything you need. It could be peak time and it doesn’t feel like it’s crowded. It is most definitely a laid back gym for all types ( beginner, advanced etc.) Locker room, steam room and sauna are a huge plus. It’s a great public gym, do you expect your own assistant at your side accommodating every single request and ridding off every inconvenience. Get real. Go in, be a good person and work out. If you sincerely reach out to any trainer or other patron, wanting advice or just talk for a second, you will receive nothing but positivity. Everyone helps everyone and it’s wonderful.

First of all, I believe that most of these negative reviews were made before the new management took over. Since I have joined - about 3 months ago- I have not had one bad experience at this gym. Even during prime hours, there are always machines available and from what I have experienced, they are always clean and working.
In the locker rooms the staff comes through routinely (sometimes I will see them 2-3 times while I am in there before/after workouts) checking cleanliness and emptying towel containers.
Management/staff has always been friendly and accommodating, even when I closed a credit card that was linked to billing and was late for almost 15 days, they did not charge me any late fees and were understanding in helping me set up a new payment method. Most places will charge you an arm and a leg in fees if that happens.
Overall the gym is clean, classes are great, lockers are spacious and clean, and staff is friendly.
I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking, and hopefully you can ignore the old-outdated reviews from prior management!

Be cautious when you sign up any membership with TruFit. My personal experience was that the membership sales guy lied, and told us false information about my membership. Clearly they don't train their employees well, as they don't understand how their membership system works. They said membership has been cancelled, but you still get charged on your credit card. Make sure you read the agreements that you are about to sign, because after you sign, and you see your credit card gets over-charged, the manager is going to throw the agreement to your face, and say sorry, but nothing they can do. I have three months contract left, and will go to other gym afterwards for sure.

It's such a large space with such great potential, but this new round of owners has let it go into disarray. There's a stinky, mildewy smell, and the cardio equipment is low grade and wobbly. Lots of great weight equipment. But, because of the stinkiness, it has become more of a bodybuilder gym.

This place has changed hands a few times, but now that Hyland Hills bought it, the improvements are too numerous to list, but I'm going to give it a go.
Great management, stellar equipment, and trainers that will get you whipped into shape no matter what your training level. Tons of classes, tanning, and my personal favorite the dry saunas!
You will also find an amazing smoothy bar and an onsite sports massage therapy clinic. So you will feel awesome inside and out.

Great gym and very affordable, lots of equipment for what ever style of training you're into. Nice they have an entire area with bumper plates that allows people do work on Weightlifting or Cross fit type training. Also is never really too crowded even during peak times.
Would be cool to see the new team add some new equipment (IE a couple platforms and more plates) for this area and get a better plate management system as well.

I think there is a lot to love about this gym and several things that *I hope* they are aware of and hopefully working on. They have a great variety of classes on the schedule at varied times. It doesn't seem to be too crowded which I like. And it is very affordable. What I don't like is that the machines and equipment are not clean. Coming from a different gym, I guess I just took cleanliness for granted. I am in the habit of spraying/wiping down my machine after using it and used to having spray bottles and towels located nearby for easy access. Unfortunately, I had to seek out cleaning materials at Fit (which means most people probably are not using them). And clearly the machines and equipment do not get cleaned on a regular basis by the staff. So it was a bit of a shock to not experience the same level of sanitation from an otherwise nice facility. I came across one elliptical that was clearly broken (buttons destroyed), yet still sitting out in the mix. And I know that they are in sort of a transitional period after changing hands, so I really hope that a lot of my complaints will be handled in the coming weeks. I really like the concept of this facility but just trying to feel out how proactive they will be in fixing a lot of the things that are broken. As a whole, I have been very impressed with everything else that Hyland Hills puts its stamp on, so hoping that Fit will rise to the same level.

I have the Tru Fit Executive Membership. I understand this has changed hands but it’s rather disappointing after using my Cherry Creek location. Almost all of the cardio equipment doesn’t work and is dirty. The Tv’s are all broken and the steam room smells like a dirty, sweaty shoe. If I can avoid going to this location I will. I recommend finding another gym in the Westminster area. This is supposed to make you motivated but walking into here makes an apartment workout room look like luxury.

Joined in May of 2018, after a cardiac event. After the first workout with trainer I was a little sore, but that was to be expected. The second workout with the same trainer PUT ME BACK IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM! Didn't go back because I was afraid he'd put me in a casket. These people are not interested in one's health, just their money. I'd give them less 0 stars if I could.

Great gym. Very clean and they just got a ton of new equipment! The classes are awesome too and offered at a wide variety of times. Great staff that always takes the time to say hello. And if you're serious about your growth they have a great selection of personal trainers to pick from. There's also an onsite sports massage therapist, which is a first for me (not included in your membership), but totally worth it.

Like anywhere, some of the little details are sometimes missed - just like the one reviewer said, the showers could use a little work, and I'm not sure exactly what scent the soap is, but I've never smelled anything like it. And in this economy, it can be hard to keep employees in customer service, so sometimes they might be a little short staffed here and there, but not any more than any other place around. Overall, I think the negative aspects are far fewer than the areas in which the gym is strong. There are lots of machines and multiple iterations of each type so you seldom have to wait for anything. Plenty of free weights, and a big open workout room with a "gorilla gym" rack system with boxes etc for plyometrics, bodyweight exercises, olympic lifting with bumper plates etc. Lots of bars for pull ups. Sleds to push and so on. There is a spin room also and there are 3 decks full of cardio equipment covering upright and recumbent bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, and the newer skate/ski "run in mid air" type of machines. They have them all. Again, once in a while, one might be out of order while they wait for the tech, but no more than anywhere else..
So overall, my feeling about this gym is that it is unpretentious and low stress, but very well equipped. There is plenty of expert knowledge among the staff if you need to seek any out from them, they are very well qualified. It is rarely problematically crowded, and it is overall kept quite clean and orderly. The "crowd" is a good mix of ages and levels of ability and I don't think anyone feels out of place. For the money. I think it's one of the best deals around on many different criteria. I've been using it a couple of times per week in the hot summer months and in the cold winter months for the last year and a half. I take my exercise outdoors in the shoulder season.
If I were choosing among local gyms all over again, I would pick Trufit.

The gym is ok. it is run down nothing like the broomfield location..
Management does not return emails. I joined as i work in DTC and live in Thornton, they had a fac in dtc when I went to go use it the doors were closed. ughh i have sent emails to mgmt with no response. Very disappointinting

This gym lacks professional management. It seems that there is no training to the staff, and the culture is terrible. I've been going to this gym for over a year and I don't know one person's name that is on staff. We have had multiple issues with the childcare and the management seems to do the dog and pony show but doesn't take action. I myself am a Project Manager and can tell that there is no leadership. I will stop here.

My husband and I have been a member at this gym for a little over a year. When we first joined right away I thought it was a weird vibe and none of the employees were friendly. But it was affordable and close to home, so we have it s try. It's been terrible.. the gym itself is dirty and they always have broken machines. The water fountains have been broken the entire year we have been here and it doesn't seem like anyone is trying to fix or improve the place. In my opinion it could be a very nice gym, if someone took the time to clean, paint and fix the machines. The staff is very unfriendly, they need training and professional leadership. The child care is a joke and we have had MULTIPLE issues with it, I've talked to the management about it and they didn't do anything about the situations. They also have a high turnover rate and there are new people running the child care every month. I could go on. We cancled out membership and will be moving on to a different gym.

I also have a membership to the Cherry Creek location, but still prefer this location sir to the larger size and more options for equipment. I always find the place is clean and equipment is fixed quickly. Some day I hope to be in good enough shape to use the CrossFit room and flip tires, but I'm not part of the 300 yet, so...

This place is garbage. I left and went to a gym close by for 20 dollars less a month that's actually worth it. Not sure how much it cost to fix a damn drinking fountain, but the 50 dollar annual maintenance fee they charge everyone must not be enough. The thing is, they know they suck but they're betting on people to just put up with their nasty gym. Step in to any other gym in the area and you'll see what I'm talking about. They offer 27 broken machines, mold in the bathrooms, and a clock that's only right every six months. Have fun fighting over the 3 machines that actually work. I know they say you get what you pay for, but really they should be paying us to step foot in that place.

If I could give this negative stars I would!!! We have been at this club since May 2017. Cleanliness goes in waves. Currently we have a few months left in our contract and just joined another nearby gym. There hasn’t been a cleaning crew at TruFit in weeks, water spout is broken, water machines are gross, paper towel dispensers are either empty or broke, WiFi has been down forever, Bathrooms are disgusting, trash everywhere. Clearly management either is never there, or walks the building. The gym is disgusting. We were overcharged in the beginning and never refunded and nobody mentioned annual fees or when they will come out of our bank account (like our new club laid EVERYTHING out with nothing to hide). We will not be back. I don’t recommend this gym. EVER.

Beware if you use the daycare they don't have staff to children ratios. I was so disappointed to learn this because the staff in the daycare area have been very nice. I went to pick up my baby and there was only one staff person (the one other staff person was taking a break) and she said there were 32 children!! I asked the GM about any kid to adult ratio policy and he said "it's just a babysitting service" and they aren't licensed.

Yeah I agree with these other posts, this place is garbage. The locker room and bathrooms are very clean, there are plenty of machines and free weights, and there is a CrossFit area with lots of barbells and bumper plates. Not very good. Also the staff is friendly and when you walk in they greet you. Who would want that? Definitely don’t come here.

Go look at my other reviews, I don't hold anything back. That being said, this place is awesome. I can't for the life of me figure out where all these negative reviews come from. This is easily the cleanest, nicest, gym I've ever been in. The staff is amazing. The customer service rivals that of a 5-star hotel. There's on-site massage and on-site daycare available. They have multiples of each machine, tons of free-weights, endless cardio machines, a climbing wall, and an entire basketball court that's been turned into a sport fitness (crossfit) room. The locker rooms, saunas, and steam rooms are all modern and clean. I honestly can't say enough about this place. My pictures will back up everything I've said, but you really should go check the place out for yourself.

K. I had months of complications and getting OVER charged. And I got charged with TWO annual fees and they won't drop the second. The management always gets switched around, don't know who is even the manager anymore. Oh and on top of that, new manager was very rude to me on the phone and is not willing to give me my money back on the second charge. They are terrible at calling you back and responding. So yeah TERRIBLE costumer servicing and management. I've worked in a gym, you DO NOT treat costumers like this what so ever. Please get it together.

Always something broken. Staff seems to not care too awfully much, only care enough to get you to leave them alone. Billing can be spotty and it is hard to get a hold of them by phone. Very crowded at most times of the day. Not the worst place I've ever been but it is definitely substandard.

I rate it a one for more then a few reason. There are less expensive options with better customer service, better cleaner equipment.
We got our membership in August. For 3 months we were overcharged and it took Management 4 months to get it together. When we asked the cancelation fee for our membership since I no longer trusted their billing department they said we have to buy out all remaining 9 months. We're finishing out our membership all though we very rarely go since we like the CHUZE locations and establishment a lot more and we even get better customer service from the recreation centers. I'm don't recommend this location at all. Before you sign a membership make sure to look at all your options.

This place has come around with some new management. The staff seems to be a revolving door of new people. Still broken equipment everywhere and needs more cleaning, look at the fan blades. All that being said it is coming around and the child care is great.

I work in the entertainment industry and went in last year for personal training 5 times a week for a month before a big event. The gym was not the best, constant broken equipment, bad water fountains, the works (as you may have seen in old reviews). But after I got home from being out of the country for 6 months I found that they got rid of the old manager Greg (you know, the guy who has every bad review written about him, aka the devil) and replaced him with a new manager and staff, and THOSE GUYS ARE AWESOME ! Equipment has been replaced, staff is friendly and helpful, and NO ONE IS TRYING TO STEAL MONEY FROM ME ANYMORE! As someone who fantasized several times about burning that place to the ground, I can report that the new management and staff have made that place great. Really recommend as either a first timer or someone who used to go there and left because Greg was the reincarnation of Lucifer. Try them out!

This place has gone way down hill but is getting better. Most of the broken equipment is getting replaced. Many of the cardio machines have problems, tv's don't work, machines click, belts are loose. Cables are frayed and sharp. Super packed at busy times hard to move and work out. Crossfit area is nice but only one dead lift rubbered area. Trainers don't seem to know what's up, poorly cleaned areas too.

When we had an issue come up with our membership we worked with the manager Greg who was awesome to deal with and fixed the problem straight.

If I could give this gym a rating of "0 stars," I would. I have so many complaints that this "review" could be considered to be an essay. However, my main concerns with this gym revolve around the management.
Every time I went into the gym, they were trying to recruit people to setup a membership. It's a gym, based on how many members, I get that. But trying to convince people that this gym is "life-changing" and has such a "great community" is a complete lie. This gym was not life changing. If anything, it made me not want to workout because I hated going to that gym so bad. Everyday I went into the gym, I noticed a machine that was broken, water fountain had no buttons (you had to stick your finger under the fountain to push a button to make the water come out), nobody at the front desk to ask a question or even greet you when you come in or leave, equipment looked and felt like it had not been cleaned or even wiped down in months, and the trainers there are not friendly. I found more compassion and help from other members in the gym than any employee that worked there. Furthermore, there was a lack of community in this gym because of the trainers. Either they were talking amongst themselves or looking at their phones. Either way, they weren't being "helpful" or "approachable".
All of those complaints sound minor and easily fixable but that is exactly my point. ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS CONTINUED THE ENTIRE TIME I WENT TO THE GYM (over 3 months before I had enough of it and just stopped going). These problems, like fixing a water fountain, giving your employees tasks to do when they are just standing around, or cleaning equipment, can be easily mandated by management. A quick, "Hey Jim, could you take a walk around the gym and tidy up the equipment that's not being used?" or "Hello Emily, would you mind answering a few of this member's questions?" would have changed my opinion pretty quickly. However, I only saw Greg a couple of times on the floor of the gym. Besides that, you could seldom find him behind his computer or who knows where doing whatever managers of Tru Fit do during their free time and job. Overall, this gym was the worst gym I have EVER had a membership to and I will never go back. The customer service and support are a million times better at 24 Hour Fitness and that is saying something...

I had several issues at this gym and requested to give my 30 day notice to cancel my membership in mid January 2015. I had paperwork from this event but after several months trashed it because I thought my membership was cancelled and I would no longer need it.
What I didn’t know was that they kept my membership on hold and never cancelled it & began charging my credit card again. (Several months after I cancelled)
Here is the BIGGER CONCERN:
On January 4, 2016 I phoned and spoke with a manager named Lisa who was friendly and seemed as if she would help me. I explained the entire situation as stated above and she seemed genuinely confused but stated she would email paperwork to complete to cancel my membership. I never received an email from her. Over the next 7 weeks I phoned several times asking for Lisa and was repeatedly told she was unavailable and they would have her phone me back. I never received a phone call back…..ever.
On the morning of February 23, 2016 (after SEVERAL phone calls and my frustration building) I phoned and asked for Lisa and was given the same spiel that she was unavailable and would call me. I stated that I have called several times and that this issue is officially over a year old and needs to be resolved today and requested to speak with someone else. The front desk clerk put me on hold and came back on the phone stating that she spoke with Lisa and that Lisa has my information and is “WORKING ON IT” and will get back to me. I stated that I requested my account be closed FOR THE SECOND TIME over 7 weeks ago and there is no reason it should take this long. I stated that I wanted this resolved TODAY and there was no reason for this delay. And once again the only response is that they will have her call me.
Later in the afternoon on February 23, 2016 (when once again I did NOT receive a phone call back) I phoned Capital One Disputes department and asked them to do a 3 way call with TruFit to see if we could get this resolved. This call was recorded. The man who answered the phone stated that I needed to come down in person to cancel. I stated that Lisa said she would email me paperwork over 7 weeks ago and I’m still waiting. He said well then if Lisa is handling it there is nothing I can do for you. I asked who else can resolve this because I need documentation TODAY that my membership is cancelled. He said I needed to wait for Lisa to call me and that my account is on hold and they aren’t currently charging me so I have nothing to worry about. I stated I don’t care that you aren’t charging me…I want documentation that my membership is cancelled so that a year from now this doesn’t just pop back up as if I never cancelled it. He stated he couldn’t help me and that I had to wait for Lisa to phone me back. I insisted that over 7 weeks to cancel a MONTH TO MONTH membership (which I also cancelled over a year ago) is ridiculous. Once again he insisted that they weren’t charging me so I shouldn’t even worry about it and that I would need to wait for Lisa to call me back.
I’m not sure if this is how they keep their membership numbers up but there is obviously some unethical business practices happening here. I should receive a refund of $94.99 for the annual fee they charged me when I should no longer be a member. More importantly, I need documentation that my membership is cancelled. Setting aside that I cancelled this more than a year ago and have been extremely inconvenienced (not that they care) I was on a MONTH TO MONTH membership where I paid first and last month’s monthly fees and requested to have it canceled multiple times. There is no reason for this run around and no reason why my membership shouldn’t have been cancelled the first time and certainly no reason why it should take 7 weeks to process a MONTH TO MONTH cancellation that required a 30 day notice and already had the last month paid for.
I would not get a membership here!!

Wow. Normally I got to TruFit on 88th and it is great. Being in the area i decided to check out this Trufit. I cant believe how run down this place is comparatively. Most of the drinking fountains have tape over the broken handles. had to go to three different treadmills to find one that worked and had a Tv, about 1/4 of them have TV's. Benches and machines are broken and pads are ripped up. Many machines have an out of order sticker on them, from what i gather hey have been that way for a long time. Horrible design as well. Half of the gym in underused run down machines that no one uses and a cross-fit area that no one uses. Also out of towels and when i asked the employee at the front desk he told me it was a free service so not to worry about it.

My wife and I have been going to this gym for five years. The only reason we continue is because of the location. Over that time we have seen it deteriorate dramatically. We used to be able to bring guests on Sundays for free, or any other day of the week for a five dollar charge. This is no longer. Two days after Thanksgiving 2015 my wife and I went to the gym. Because of the lack of management at this facility, a random man off the street walked into the locker room, cut my lock, took my key fob, and stole my wallet. Within 10 minutes he was up at the target on 120th and had spent five grand on our credit cards. The staff told me to not worry about our monthly payment because they knew about the situation. I made an assumption that their management team would do the right thing and waive our fee for a month. I was wrong. We later received $42 in overdraft fees and late charges. I confronted the manager, Greg and he had a laundry list of excuses. He also told me that he would be reimbursing us the overdraft fees and late charges. Our reoccurring monthly bill just went through and we never received a credit. On top of all this the equipment at this facility is showing major signs of wear and tear. I also confronted the manager about this. His response was we were supposed to have all new cardio equipment starting the first of the year. Since then nothing has changed. I typically don't write negative reviews, however, I think the public should be informed about the true colors of this club.

The people that work for this gym are a bunch of thieves. We were lied to from the start. I signed up over the phone and specifically asked if there was a yearly charge for the gym. I was told no….February rolled around and $100 was taken out of my account. When I went into the gym and spoke to the larger Hispanic man that works there I was told he could do nothing to help me and I had to talk to Greg. After multiple phone calls to Greg with NO returned phone calls I finally got a hold him. He told me that he could not refund our money, but we could get personal training sessions. Once again Greg would never call me back and no one could help me at the gym because Greg had to approve for the training sessions. I gave up at this point…
November rolls around and I am told to come back on 12/01/2015 to cancel my membership. My boyfriend and I go into the gym and cancel our membership. Well sure enough on 12/21/2015 $54.99 was taken out of my bank account. Supposedly they had only canceled my boyfriend’s account, but I was still charged for his monthly rate along with mine. Again with many phone calls to Lisa this time, she tells me not once, but two times over a 20 day period that I will get my money. After not receiving my money for 20 days and being told twice I would get it, Lisa decided to not return any of my phones calls or respond to my emails. Mind you during all of this Greg the manager of the gym told me there was nothing he could do to help me that I had to talk to Lisa. I even told him that she was not returning any of my phone calls and he still wasn’t willing to help. I finally called another gym and they gave me Nicole’s information. She tried telling me I had to wait another 10 days for the money that was stolen from me. She actually helped me and I got my money back.
During our year with Tru Fit half the equipment was broken, the bathrooms were nasty, and the sauna was broken more often than not. If you enjoy being lied to, paying for things that are broken, poor customer service, and eventually having your money stolen, then please sign up for this gym! I have never experienced such poor customer service. I am also in shock that you cannot speak to the owners of the gym. I asked Nicole if I could speak to the owner and she told me I couldn’t. I hope the owners get online to read the reviews and will make some major changes within their company.
