Great course with challenging layout and design. If you know the rules and are fairly consistent, this is a strategic and accuracy rewarding course.

Course is a gem! We encountered informed and friendly staff, well manicured fairways, tee boxes, and greens. The rental clubs were brand new 2025-model Calloway Elytes. Walked the round with pushcart, enjoyable experience with challenging holes set amidst beautiful trees, rolling hills, and perimeter mountain views, with some snowcaps even in July. Strategic tee shots are critical, and driver was only appropriate on about half of the holes. Five sets of tees gives it versatile playability to all skill levels. Don't forget to visit the attached, well-appointed eatery for dining and/or drinks afterwards!

Played the back nine earlier this morning, with the foursome behind us doing the same. Nobody in front of us, and after our drives on 10, there were maybe a couple holes (par 5s) where they were on the tee box as we were finishing up on the green. Otherwise, barely saw them the rest of the 9.
As we were walking off the 17th, a marshal scolded us for being behind the pace of play and to speed it up - again, nobody in front to keep up with, and the group behind had just hit their drives on the par 5. Seems pretty pointless to pick a fight with us (maybe 10min behind pace) instead of approaching the group behind to even check to see if they were holding up the group behind them.
Great course and would come back, but the marshals (or just one in particular) should probably focus on people *actually* holding up the pace of play instead of harping on a group not affecting the pace of anyone else out there.

One of the more underrated course experiences I've had since moving to Colorado seven years ago. First time playing and the staff was friendly, the pace was fast and the course made you think. Really hope to be able to book more tee times here in the future.

Not much of a review guy. Generally not worth my time. But here I just felt the need. I played Indian Peaks this past Saturday. I have to say the course, club house were fantastic so it gets a 3 still. Kuddos to the maintenance crew and club house staff. My issue is purely with the ranger working the morning shift. To frame the story a bit I ready reviews of the course the night before snd there were a lot of complaints regarding how pushy the rangers were. I sort of thought typical folk complaining while they probably were slow. Fast forward to our round Saturday. We approached the 9th tee box and teed off. The golf cart at the time said 5 behind pace. The group ahead was getting to ten tee while we were hitting our tee shots on 9. It was kind of a give and take onnthe front. Some holes we did wait some holes the gap widened to this. The ranger approaches us and immediately says I need your help picking up the pace. We were sort of taken a back as the group behind had not been waiting on us at all and we stated that. The ranger immediately got angry to where that's where things got sort of comical. We were a foursome and playing in a tournament and he goes "this is the problem guys, you hit 4 or 5 balls off the tee!" Well yeah we did because there were 4 golfers and one golfer took a mulligan. Ranger storms off and then decides to come back to get a final word in which was so unnecessary. By the time we got to ten tee we had to wait as its a drivable par 4. We ended up finishing at 4 hours and 12 minutes which is well ahead of their designated pace. Again the course itself and the pro shop staff were great. I am a big pace of play guy as I play 2 to 3 tines a week but this approach is not encouraging. Instead maybe approach us and say "hey guys not bad let's ensure we keep up thr good pace"

Today was the 3rd strike for me and a few of my friends. The staff has been very rude on multiple occasions, with today, one staff member coming out to the putting green, yelling the wrong name at us trying to get our attention while also yelling at us that we were late to our tee time (when in reality we still had 5+ minutes til our time was set). Very rude and for the drive there, simply not worth it. I will be playing elsewhere in 2025.

This is a nicely maintained course but the staff are extremely condescending. My spouse plays several times a week and has never had staff rush the group so hard at a facility. We came for 18 holes and I won't give details but several staff members made insolent comments and had a condescending tone when they mentioned we needed to pick up the pace. One being "just so you know that person is leaving because of you". They did this several times over the course of just 2 holes. We weren't but 15min behind and all of us pretty much felt harassed and left early. Never coming back.

I found the staff to be kind and welcoming which I always appreciate. Although student discounts are only offered to high school students and younger I still found the price for 18 holes to be affordable. I enjoyed the course and everything it had to offer, however, one thing I wasn't used to was the separation between the club house and the driving range. To access the driving range there is a small bridge that must be crossed on each end of the range. Given the placement of the ball dispenser I found this to be mildly inconvenient. All things considered, I still think this is a great course and worth the visit!

VERY UNWELCOMING!
The older of the two gentleman working the morning of July 5th was particularly unprofessional. At 8am, I checked online for a tee time and saw one available for 8:36, but was hoping to pay cash. I walk into the clubhouse sometime between 8:20-8:25 and I ask about the 8:36 tee time I saw online with 2 spots left and wanting to pay cash. He replies with no hesitation a crotchety, βtheyβre already out.β Shucks. Kind of early for the slot, but not a big deal, itβs a busy week for golf and I knew that. I look around the shop a quick bit, then walking back to the parking lot, I see the 2some 8:36 tee time still waiting to tee offβ¦. If Iβd just walked out after the interaction and seen them still there Iβd have said something, but by the time I was walking out it was for sure too late. Come on!! The guy working the desk couldnβt have even been bothered to just turn around and look at the tee box!!!!
Not really sure why they wouldnβt want another greens fee coming in, but itβs really disappointing to be turned away when there is room. Going to be hard to justify giving my money to a business that doesnβt want it. Every other course out here is happy to fill up every single tee time with a full group, especially to cash paying customers. It may have been a bad morning for him, but I was expecting quite a bit more professionalism from someone who was fully decked in golf garb and has clearly been golfing for a very long time. Itβs a game of etiquette after all. Might make for a better ranger than a cashier.

This was my first time playing golf and I never want to golf again. This course and the people made it very difficult to try my best without getting harassed that Iβm going to slow. I was even questioned by the staff if I paid for a cart and a tee time.
I saved up my hard earned money as a college student just for me to try something new.
I grew up without a father figure in my life and this was a special moment for me to try something new for my future family.
I did not feel welcomed here by the course and the people. I hope a beginner with no experience or mentorship doesnβt have to feel this way again

I can play this course 3-4 times a week and never get bored of it...Come to think of it, I often do and never get bored of it. We hosted a small golf tournament at Indian Peaks a couple days before our wedding and it was wonderful. The course was in great shape, Pro shop staff was polite and courteous. Kitchen staff was professional and prompt. I gave this course 2 stars based on pace of play the groups in front of us and the group in front of them either didnβt play well or had little experience playing which Iβm ok with with the exception of I payed $70 for 18 holes and spent 2 1/2 getting through 5th tee, we called the marshals several times and all he could tell us is β thanks for being patient β then he thought it would slow us down by pairing us with a group two groups behind us. We only agreed based on the marshals brought these folks up and put us on the spot ! At that point what do you say! Being polite is the best practice. We Teeβd off at 1:26 pm made to 9 at 4:36 at this point we gave in due to weather and patience wearing thin. Staff gave us credit which is ok but I prefer to not really come back to this course, but the credit is enough to pay for either the front or back 9 if we decide to walk. On a side note $22 dollars for a cart π‘ not ideal

Fun playable course, well managed with a great community feel. A true gem in Lafayette with massive potential. There are 2 items that would take this property from really good to great:
1) a few trees on the property have become overgrown relative to the initial design, most notably the trees on 1 that make it a gimmicky hole as there is no risk reward typically associated with a par 5. Generally the course is very well maintained (greens could be speed up a bit) but there are sections that could use tree removal to improve playability.
2) the restaurant has so much potential with unmatched views off the back deck. Itβs essentially a half way house menu and bar designed for to-go drinks. Expanding the menu and creating a sit down style experience or renovating the bar area could be a huge source of revenue and would be an enjoyable 19th hole. There arenβt a ton of restaurants in that general area so it would fill a great void and be well received.
The management at IP is attentive and making some good changes (driving range renno will be nice). Grateful for to have this property in our community.

$87 to play 9/1/23 with a cart
fairways and greens in pristine shape
however greenside bunkers under repair on 12 and 17 which essentially makes those holes unplayable since they have fences you have to play around one of my friends approach shots hit a fence and was ejected backwards
the bunker on 12 has been that way for weeks
plus the fancy gps on the cart left us on the back 9
on positive side the rounds have been taking 4- 41/2 hours

Golfed it for my birthday in April. Was a wonderful course, in great condition, and amazing views. The course felt forgiving, I am a beginner, but also was challenging for the experienced golfers I was with. I cannot emphasize the amazing views enough!
Staff was friendly, they made some rounds and told us our pace was right on. This course has a roughly 15 minute per hole pace of play which I think is totally reasonable. Allows for some conversation between shots but also isnβt so slow that youβre there for 5.5 hours.

Course was in good shape and well designed. I played two days this week and had to deal with the same miserable person taking your money. I won't make this personal and give names, but management should train the counter people to represent the course with a helpful attitude. His uninterest in helping me caused a multitude of avoidable issues and then his unwilling take any responsibility basically told me he didn't give a damn about the experience I was paying for.
Retail is tough, I know this and I try to be a good customer, but your front counter needs an attitude adjustment. I will be playing elsewhere.

I reserved tee time online for early evening. I arrived at course 30 minutes early and checked in immediately as a single. When my group game up to meet me they were a foursome so no spot for me. No starter around so I went back to the clubhouse. Guys in pro shop told me back nine was wide open. When I went to #10 tee box there was a group waiting in carts to tee off and another foursome coming behind. Starter told me I could ask to join in group or ask to play through. Sounds like a nice course but didn't get a chance to see it.

I'd consider this my home course. The price of 55-65$ a round in CO is extremely reasonable for this place - Flatirons in Boulder is as expensive, as is Coal Creek and both suck in comparison. Well maintained for the most part and decent enough change within the course itself. For a public course I'd give it a 5.

Before golfing Indian peaks golf course, I would imagine my family would consider me a "cold" person. Since then a lot has changed. The lush course has put lasting joy in my heart and taught me how to love. The majestic put passion back into my previously spiteful soul. In fact, hole 18 was so grand that me and my fiancΓ©e are planning our wedding ceremony there. God bless the heart and soul of the heros that run Indian peaks.

This course is like a girl who is a soft 5, but thinks she's a hard 9. It gets good ratings because it 'has good views'. We live in Colorado, the parking lot of 7/11 has good views. The course is WAYYY over priced, at around $50 to walk 18. The staff are really rude. The first time I called there the girl was so rude I called back 10 minutes later and told them frankly 'I don't want to give you my money, cancel that tee time'. The kid working the pro shop today wasn't a whole lot better. Very short and snarky. The range was mats only, because 'it's too early in the year, the grass isn't growing'. Nope. This is the only place I've been to in the past month that is still off mats, which are about an inch thick and on concrete here, so pretty crappy. The chipping green is about the size of my kitchen table and some knucklehead was hitting literally 50-75 balls to one hole, taking 1/3 of the green out of commission. (On a side note, STOP DOING THIS. I see it all the time. Hitting into a pile of balls does nothing for your game and gets in everyone else's way. 10 balls at a time. Max.) The course wasn't in terrible condition, but the greens were extraordinarily slow. Oddly, they don't hold shots. I've been playing for many years (27) and am a high-spin player, and I couldn't get the ball to stop on chips to save my life. To make up for the extreme lack of length of this course there are all sorts of dog legs, with allegedly local rules of 'don't cut the corners'. They put a lot of bunkers/lakes through the fairways and on the corners to try to force you not to hit driver. You can find lots of courses that are equal quality in the North Suburbs of Denver for around $20-$30 and probably have a way better experience.
The positives are that the putting green is really nice and smooth, but also rolls about 3x faster than the actual greens, so don't fall in love with the speed before you tee off. The bathroom in the clubhouse is really nice, and they have these nice futuristic urinals that are fun to pee in. There are nice views here, I will admit...but as indicated earlier, that means very little to me.
On a personal note, there was some very creepy guy who walked into the clubhouse at the same time I did. He didn't say anything, didn't walk up to the counter, but was straight up staring at me. I saw it right away, could feel his eyes burning into my back when I was paying, and when I turned around he had this insanely scary smirk on his face. I very seriously thought Uncle Touchy was going to get handsy with me. Not a good experience. If you play here, watch your cornhole.

Excellent public golf course. Challenging layout with lots of water, creeks and subtle difficulties that makes this a rewarding golf experience. Beautiful scenery with amazing views of the Rocky Mountains. Emerald greens contrast beautifully with snow capped mountains. Seven sets of tees makes Indian Peaks GC accessible to all levels and their professional instructors are the best on the Front Range. Great Experience!

Best course I've found in the area. Beautiful greens, great layout, good pace of play (as in, the marshalls actually do something to get people going if needed). I held a star back because it wasn't Bandon Dunes where I used to caddy, and I should take away another half star because the 7th hole is so stupid. It's not Poppy Hills, it's not Thousand Oaks in Michigan, but it is fun, challenging, in great shape, and you can't imagine the views considering what it looks like as you drive up to the course. Go really early on Saturday morning to hit balls. You will get to see 30 hot air balloons ascending with the green grass in front of you and the snow capped mountains in the background. Striking, really.
