Kylie is incredible! She has made me feel far more comfortable in the gym and has developed a great plan to get me in shape for my wedding. My friends already are noticing results and I feel stronger and more confident (in my body & mentally) — I appreciate her positive attitude, humor, and knowledge of fitness and nutrition immensely. She is able to meet her clients where they are at and tailor a plan to meet their specific needs.

I can’t recommend Kylie enough! From the moment I started working with her, she has been an incredible source of support—both as a trainer and a friend. During my pregnancy, she was especially attentive, tailoring workouts to keep me strong and healthy while ensuring everything was safe for both me and my baby. She truly cares about your progress, not just in the gym but also in your life. If you’re looking for someone who’ll push you to be your best while keeping things enjoyable and safe, Kylie is the one to go to!

I am so grateful for Kylie! With her chiropractic background she brings a wealth of knowledge about the body, muscles, and positioning to help with form and what’s happening all around. I’ve had my postpartum body for almost two years and really wanted to have a personal trainer to bring back some body confidence, keep me accountable, gradually get back into running, and feel more comfortable using the equipment at the gym and what I have at home. She pushes me so I see growth, but never pushes my body past any limits. She always meets me where I’m at that day.
In addition to the weight I’m losing and muscle I’m gaining, the knowledge is so valuable so I can keep up with it after our sessions complete. Highly, highly recommend - you will be so thrilled to train with her!

She combines expert-level training techniques with a positive, encouraging attitude that keeps you pushing forward even on the toughest days. Her attention to form and detail helps prevent injury while maximizing results, and her passion for health and fitness is truly contagious.
If you’re looking for a trainer who is professional, results-driven, and inspiring to work with, I highly recommend Kylie. She’s the real deal.

I’ve worked with Kylie for about 2.5 years now, and I’ve seen nothing but results—from body shaping to strength training and mobility. I haven’t presented Ms. Kylie with a goal that she hasn’t helped me achieve.

Kylie has been wonderfully sensitive to and adaptable to my arthritic aches and pains and my recovery from knee replacements. She is patient cheerful and yet firm about pushing forward toward strength. No matter how whiney I feel when I show up for a session, I feel much more positive energy when we are done.

Kylie is AMAZING! Having Kylie as a trainer has honestly been one of the highlights of my fitness journey. She listens to your goals and makes it her priority to make sure you achieve them. Not only is she super knowledgeable and supportive, but she brings such a fun/positive energy to every workout. She has a way of making them hard workouts feel less like a chore and more like working out with a friend who pushes you to be better. She’ll definitely get you to enjoy working out. Can’t recommend her enough! If you’re looking for someone who makes fitness feel approachable and fun, all while reaching your goals, then Kylie is the trainer for you!

I started working with Kylie during my first pregnancy, and she helped me stay active, healthy, and happy through baby's birth. I started back up with her in postpartum, and she helped me get back to feeling like myself and reconnect with my body and pelvic floor. Kylie is kind, fun, knowledgeable and approachable. She made me feel confident at a big box gym where there are a lot of "gym bros" - I now know how to use all the equipment and have the skills and know-how to keep my body healthy and strong and I am at my strongest at 37 years old!

What you may want to know about Kylie DeShazo, as a personal trainer…
I have high standards, and you should too. If you are looking for a good trainer, here are some reasons why you may want to make the time to get an in person appointment with Kylie, in specific. If you meet with her, you’ll get that expertise in your mobility evaluation, and learn from her deep knowledge base of what you would most gain from with her guidance. That evaluation is often free, so ask about that.
I love free weights and compound movements, but I’ve learned so much outside of the old conventional ways of getting stronger. For example, that common misconception that machines, or free weights are critical for a good workout, but that’s far from the truth. With the extreme exception of already being in the 0.1% of people that are already too strong, perfectly symmetrical, don’t have knee pain, don’t have back pain, don’t have rounded shoulders from too much computer monitor or phone use, have already perfected the Romanian Deadlifts etc., and find sets of one arm push ups or pistol squats are just too easy, then sure, I guess you are one of the anomalies that need to stack multiple plates to eek out the remaining potential gains. I mention this because a good trainer, like Kylie, knows both the machines, free weights, bands, isometrics, calisthenics, and mobility techniques to maximize gains for endurance, muscle size, functional strength, stamina, and getting lean. She knows the long term advantages of measuring strength, mobility, sleep, and mental alertness over the crude and often misleading weight scale. For example, we were talking about how a study of two well controlled groups that were monitored including diet and body fat percentages were measured, the variable was sleep. Those who slept for 5.5 hours had 60% less muscle mass compared to those who slept for 8.5 hours. The well rested group had 40% more muscle mass. So the same diet, same exercise and a massive difference in muscle loss or gain. It’s those less common but so important pieces of knowledge that make the difference in a good trainer. How many trainers know of and truly understand these kinds of things? Review continued under the username Lotus …

…Review continued from the username Glen Yoshida. Another aspect that I’ve found many other trainers to misunderstand is diet. There’s that old and widely distributed myth that calories in, calories out is the only thing you need to focus on for fat loss. That’s just not the case, that we all don’t already have six packs is proof of that. The body is more complicated and different foods have different values in overall health and how they affect cravings. For example, proteins and whole foods are much, much better at satiating and are very different in how much additional foods we’ll want to eat compared to the after effects of a pizza, chips, or a candy bar. I bring this up because while there are many good trainers out there I had a hard time finding one that really knows her/his stuff. There’s so many trainers out there that still are working off these old myths, beating up their clients, and then blaming the clients for failures when the trainer was pushing for an unsustainable model. I’ve found that with Kylie you can be anywhere in between maintenance to hardcore and that she has the skills and knowledge to adjust your plan as life brings the changes.
One final thing, and this is something I think a lot of people overlook. Let’s be frank, you’ll be spending a lot of time with your trainer, so personality matters. It’s a big part of what keeps that long term trainer/client going. So, while everyone isn’t for everybody, I look forward to working with Kylie and deeply value what she’s brought to each training session, and that’s why I’m taking the time to write this review. So make the call, meet her in person, let her learn about how she can help so you can continue on to an even better life.

Kylie has been a joy to work with as a personal trainer. She did a thorough initial evaluation with me, listening to where I was in my current state and discussing my goals and concerns. My mobility and strength has increased significantly working with her for the past several months. She also has a lovely personality which always has me looking forward to my sessions with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to get their workouts back on track.

Before I had Kylie as my personal trainer, I knew nothing about fitness or how to properly workout. I have learned so much in the year and a half that she has trained me and continue to learn more. I have gained nearly 10lbs of muscle in that amount of time! I couldn't ask for a better trainer!

Kylie is the absolute BEST trainer I’ve had since moving to Denver! She’s very professional, friendly, patient, and knowledgeable in just about everything! She got me started on my running journey! I went from no running to about 3 miles a day in just a few months! Any time I have a question about stretches, form/technique, or just a concern Kylie is always able to provide an answer, give an example, or she’ll find out and get back to me! She’s also able to provide all different types of workouts with varying levels of intensity! 10/10 would recommend her to anyone at any level in their fitness journey!

Kylie is a 5 star trainer! I love working with her. I came to her after having had frozen shoulder and a significant back injury, both of which had completely depleted my fitness. Not only is she working on strength in the appropriate ways, but she also helping with mobility as well. As a woman about to turn 50, I feel like I'll be rounding this next decade with a level of strength and fitness that will carry me though the next 10 years!
