I love Lifetime!

I enjoy the classes, and after about six months of coming regularly and not really seeing the results I wanted, I decided to invest in myself and hire a personal trainer, and started working with Tim P. I have made significant progress toward my fitness goals and overall health, and I feel great. He has since moved locations, and I followed him over to that one for training weekly.

As far as classes go, Alpha Strength classes are my favorite, followed by GTX & UltraFit. All the trainers and coaches are fantastic! I have also enjoyed private pilates lessons here. The facilities are clean, and I can always find equipment without issue. I have rarely come across out-of-order machines; I think I saw one cable machine during the past 1.5 years that was out of order, and it was fixed the very next day.

The spa is amazing, and I had one of the best massages ever here. I forgot the woman's name, but she was fantastic. Lynn is amazing for facials.

Yes, it's not the cheapest option, but in life, you get what you pay for.

Two constructive suggestions that would make this location perfect in every way:

1. Remove one of the pickleball courts and replace it with a turf area for functional fitness and racks. You can never have too many lifting racks, and the turf would be a nice touch for some CrossFit-style functional workouts.
2. Add a few more massage chairs in the recovery area. These are almost always in use. Getting a few more in here would be really nice!

I'll outline everything about this Gym Below 👇

1. Plenty of Machines, albeit not the best machines you'll find, basically just TechnoGym and Life Fitness stuff, limited ROM and less than ideal curves across the Board, will note the quality machines below:

Squat Press
Converging Horizontal Chest Press
Iso Lateral Row
Seated Cybex Calf Extension
Seated Dip

2. Tons of Squat Rack and Benches

3. Has every cardio piece you can imagine. Fan Bikes, Self Propelled Treadmills, Steppers, Ski Erg, etc.

4. Great Co-Ed Sauna which is usually above 175°F

5. Cold Plunge which isn't really a Plunge as it's like 50°F

6. Friendly Front Desk Staff, Trainers seem nice enough, they don't tend to horde equipment like at other LT locations.

7. Generally Clean

8. Not overally busy outside of the 3-6Pm time slot, but even then it's just people using Cables and Racks, most people are afraid of machines or something at this Location?

Overall I think Lifetime is a pretty fair value if you value your time and cleanliness of the Gym, blows away other corporate offerings, but missing some equipment imo.

Subject: Concern About Miscommunication Regarding Membership Access

Lifetime Fitness Team,

I’m reaching out because I’m very disappointed with a recent experience. I live in Belmar and, before joining, I specifically asked the salesperson at the front desk whether my membership gave me access to all Lifetime Fitness locations. I was clearly told that I could visit any facility except Cherry Creek.

However, when I went to the Golden/Arvada location yesterday, I was told that my membership does not grant access there. This was frustrating and honestly made me feel misled — I likely wouldn’t have joined had I known this information upfront.

I truly enjoy your facilities, but this experience has left me feeling disappointed and confused and lied to. Could someone please clarify my membership access and help resolve this situation?

Thank you,
John Martin

I have mixed feelings and mixed opinions on this place. 1) the facility itself is pretty nice. Yes, there can be broken machinery and just like any other gyms the locker rooms & common areas will vary with traffic and time of day. 2) the staff within the facility (ie trainers) are nice and seem friendly but I haven’t interacted with them much. 3) The sign up process was such a hassle. We used a third party vendor through my husband’s work to that allows us access to this specific location and at the beginning the staff upfront couldn’t figure out how to sign us up. My husband had to come in the middle of the day to get help from someone who knew how to sign us up. Then, I had to come in myself and sign up directly because my husband couldn’t sign up for me (this I feel is very strange and weird considering this is a family plan type of deal). It could be due to the vendor but it was pain regardless. 4) Yes, there is a hefty price tag. Not sure if it’s worth the amenities which are included unless you want to live at the gym. So, if you are not dedicated, then don’t waste your money. 5) We’ve had to upgrade our plan once within a year and they’ve asked us again recently to upgrade again. Wow! Really crazy! We found it wasn’t worth it to upgrade again and, we will be going to the Lifetime in Parker as our plan is covered under them. 6) For whatever reason, at this location, people do not wipe down the machines after using them. Ewwww. I have no idea why. It’s very strange. I definitely wipe before and after using the machines and would recommend anyone else do the same. Also, some of the wipe stations are not refilled in a timely manner either and go a couple of days before being refilled again 7) The upfront staff can be more pretentious than the actual people at the gym. Good golly! They typically aren’t helpful when asking questions (as determined from trying to sign up) and I’ve seen them stare at customers like the customer is the problem (I’ve seen this quite a few times when walking in/out of the facility). You are in an industry that thrives on customer service. Know your product and how to speak to people with respect!
There was also soooo much attitude given to me when I was told our plan needed to be upgraded again. Like geeze, sorry, we had not received any notification about this and the app still showed us we could get into this location (it has since been updated to show an upgrade is needed but it took a while). I even showed the guy at front desk and it only seemed to make him more annoyed.

Overall, this place is MEH for the price. If you don’t need to interact with humans it’s great but the staff definitely needs a wake up call on the fact they are costing this place members due to bad interactions.

Never had worse customer experience in my life. I walked into the location where multiple people were standing at the desk, and I had asked that I was looking to start a membership or reactive my old one I had. I was asked to wait which wasn’t a problem. By the time someone came they talked to from the desk as I was sitting at a bench away from the desk. Told me they couldn’t do any memberships at this time since it was after 5pm, and I had asked if this was an all lifetime policy or something that changed recently. As I got my original membership at 10pm back in 2022. Was told that policies change and they were sorry but then pulled a QR code and told me to see if it would work. It did work, I had the full capability of signing up. So to be straight lied to and told to fill out some QR code as they were busy talking among one another about personal life things. I decided if I was just a waste of time to the employee to lie to me about not being able to sign up then to say oh do this, my money and gym experience will be better spent elsewhere.

Update:
I am incredibly happy with my gym lately. I have been doing alpha conditioning & GTX! Hunter and Drew are great coaches. The only thing I wish there was more of were a couple of extra yoga classes that were non heated.

I absolutely love coming here. It is the highlight of my day, every day. I’ve been a loyal member on and off for 10 years to lifetime. However, this location has some issues i really wish they could fix. Many of the machines stay broken. You’ve got people vacuuming at 9:30 am while you’re trying to do cardio. I love that lifetime is nice and clean for all of us members, but cleaning in the middle of the cardio floor at peak hours is not how I prefer it to be clean. This gym is way too expensive for this. With that being said, I still highly recommend this gym, but I want it to return to the lifetime we know and love.

First, let me say this is the nicest fitness center I have ever spent time in. In the past I went to local rec centers or joined one of the big name inexpensive gyms. I have been here about 70 times thus far, and I really enjoy the variety of activities and equipment they have. Second, because this Lifetime is the nicest fitness center in the area, it is VERY busy. It is rare that the parking lot isn't at least half full of cars. Even when it's packed, I have been able to get in a full workout. My minor gripe is because they have so many personal trainers working with clients, many of the squat racks and other equipment are taken up during busy times. Third, I really like that large and small towels are provided. As someone who sweats a lot, this is appreciated. Fourth, the equipment is well kept up at this location. They have staff on site who fix things that are broken and rarely is a piece of equipment out of commission for more than a day or so. They also keep the place relatively clean considering how many people use the facilities per day. I do get annoyed by some of the other members who think that others should pick up after them, leaving towels by the pool, in the saunas and steam room and men's room. It's not that hard to put stuff away!

For the price of membership, I think you get what you pay for, especially if you go 3-5 times a week like I do. I am stronger, healthier, and more motivated than ever, and I think some of this has to do with the quality of gym I joined. I did also work with a personal trainer there, Max, who helped me learn compound movements like squat and deadlift, which has given me confidence to continue to push myself with strength training.

You could literally spend all day at Lifetime and never get bored.

I had a fantastic time at Lifetime today. Right from the start, Rachel greeted me at the door and helped me get settled. She is a delightful human. Then I spent a couple of hours playing indoor pickleball, which was just great. The members there are friendly, and the place is huge with tons of courts. I really enjoyed it and would suggest it to anyone into pickleball.

I have a bad experience every time I come....Arrived on time for a kids climbing sesh, what do you know, you have to be there early so they gave my spot away! Completely ruined my plans.... Burning your feet at their ridiculous dark outdoor pool surface? No running!! They scold you instantly. (Seriously you need to do something about that 150 degree surface, it is absurd). Arrive ready, 10 mins before a kids pool lesson? Sorry pool is closed for safety time!!! Kid wants to check out the hot tub or sauna? Sorry only 12 and up even if supervised!!! (Yeah, my son has been going in the hot tub since he was 2). Want to play pickleball?? Sorry, all full, get to the back of the 30 person line!!! Members pay a lot of money, maybe think about crafting an experience for them??? Not to mention, the facilities are completely outdated! Very unhappy.

🔸 NEW UPDATE: upgrading to 3.5 stars, the experience at this club is solid now. also cold plunge is in which is great.. things seem to be running well, it's still too busy during peak times but it is what it is. still bummed that they got rid of boxing/MMA and leveled everything for pickleball courts but no use holding onto the past. also they re-did the menu at the cafe (but i think things just got more expensive).. we used to grab stuff often but now never do anymore. unfortunate because it was convenient but good things don't last when shareholder value must be prioritized 🤣🤣🤣

➡️ UPDATE: This is all anecdotal based on my own personal experience, but things seem to be trending upwards at this location.. I think the new manager is making progress. Adding some cool new equipment, facilities seem cleaner, less crowded, etc..

Bumping up to 3 stars will see how things evolve from here..

Also rumors of a cold plunge coming which is long overdue but would be awesome

-----

“Less for more” seems to be the running theme now.. club used to be awesome but it isn’t what it used to be. Only one basketball court left and that’s being used most of the time, MMA/boxing area is gone which is a huge bummer.. And it’s always super crowded since there’s really no competition in the area. If you got in at the old rates I would say it’s a decent value, but at the new rates it simply isn’t what it should be for what they are charging. I think there’s new management, but tbh things don’t seem to be getting better.. I’ll say this, if you are willing to pay a premium price for a mid-level/crowded gym and you absolutely *LOVE* pickleball more than anything else then this place is probably for you. Otherwise, you’ll probably still come here anyways because there are no great alternatives, it is what it is.

I’ve never experienced such consistently poor customer service. When I signed up for my membership, I was misled and told I needed to schedule a tour before I could begin using the club—even though I had previously been a member at this location. I was required to pay immediately, despite the fact that my tour wouldn’t be for about two weeks. When I finally arrived, I discovered there was no tour at all. Instead, I was placed in a personal training appointment where I was aggressively pushed to purchase sessions, to the point of feeling extremely uncomfortable. I was later told that this appointment wasn’t even required, and the membership cost I paid that went unused for half the month could not be refunded— only prorated and applied as a credit to the next month.

Later, near the end of April, I called to inquire about freezing my membership while I would be out of town for most of May. The young man I spoke with was rude and informed me that a 30-day notice was required. I asked to cancel instead. Without a word, he placed me on hold, then returned to say he had spoken with a manager and they could freeze my membership as a one-time courtesy. I regrettably agreed, and he abruptly said "Okay" and hung up the phone without further explanation. I was already frustrated with my experience, and to make matters worse, I was charged $15 on May 1st with no prior explanation of the terms to freeze my membership.

Today, I called again to cancel my membership and spoke with another man, who was also rude and dismissive. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told to specify which one—because “there are like 15 managers here.” While my membership was finally canceled, I have no idea if any of my concerns were actually passed along to someone who could address them.

As others have mentioned, this club is not well-maintained, and it’s hard to justify paying $180 a month for a membership when the staff consistently shows a lack of care or professionalism. Ironically, I was treated better when I paid through a third-party provider than I have been since joining directly. The only employee who has provided consistently positive service is Danya. Aside from that, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

My hair color and highlights on dark coarse thick hair. Emily was fantastic! For any curly person I recommend her services. I always resign to leave a salon with my hair up, many people say they know curly hair but as soon as I see what type of brush or comb they will use on my hair I know they know nothing on coarse mix racial curly hair. For the price of the membership, this gym should be nearly flawless all the time. It’s not.

While it’s clean, has a variety of equipment, and a whole host of amenities, it’s far from where it should be at the price point of a membership.

It’s subject to major overcrowding at peak times, specifically in the free weights, machines, and recovery equipment. A classic problem with seemingly every gym is no matter how many free weight benches they have, there’s never enough. There’s no shortage of unsupervised kids upstairs in the weight area that are undoubtedly below the permitted age screwing around, getting in the way, being disrespectful with the equipment.

There seems to almost ALWAYS be something broken in the recovery area, whether it’s one of the two massage chairs which nearly always have someone hogging it for 20 minutes or more (they run on 10 minute cycles) or broken normatec control units. They seem to constantly have air leaks or not work. For nearly 5 months they didn’t even have matching sets of normatec leg boots, now there’s only one heavily worn out hip attachment that has elastic stretched to oblivion. This stuff costs a few people’s monthly memberships so it’s not like they can’t afford to keep track of this stuff and replace it.

The gym is very clean, they almost always have someone going through and cleaning the floors. They’re maybe a little too intense about it actually. One time I was in the locker room and overheard the off duty tennis manager take a radio out of his bag and bark at someone that something was broken or dirty. The poor kids working on the weekend clearly didn’t recognize the voice because he snapped back at them “this is [name], the tennis operations manager!” And then loudly complained that he’s worked there so many years and how did these idiots not know, cursing, not-so under his breath. Extremely unprofessional to see a manager talking about other employees like that. Dude had to be in his 60s, buddy they’re high school kids working, it’s not that serious.

Lastly the weight plates are always disorganized, with different amounts scattered about, stacked on top of weight plates of other amounts so they’re hard to get to. While the floors and equipment and things are generally clean, the gym weight floor and equipment feels cluttered constantly.

I truly appreciate Lifetime and see great value in the classes offered, making it a worthwhile investment for me. However, I've had some concerns regarding cleanliness at the club. During my early morning visits at 4 AM, I’ve noticed that the women’s locker room bathrooms aren’t as well-maintained as I’d expect. There often appears to be hair and dirt in the locker areas, which can detract from the overall experience. Additionally, the steam room sometimes has used towels and dirty floors, which is disappointing given the club’s excellent location.

March 2025 On a positive note, I recently noticed that they’ve hired more environmental staff to assist with cleaning the gym and locker rooms. However, it seems that there are still challenges in maintaining a consistent level of cleanliness in the women’s locker room at this location. I believe that with additional focus and effort, the club can reach the same high standards of cleanliness as other locations.

Rachel at the front desk and the Spanish speaking daycare lady were about the only people that were nice at this gym, with a small amount of snotty, but not as explosive as the rest of folks I had an interaction with here.
No matter what time of day you get here, the gym and parking lots will be full.
For $239/month I would expect the gym to have semi nice equipment at-least. The machines are super close to each-other that you can’t even extend your full range of motion without bumping into the person next to you. Half the machines are broken w/ no “out of order” tags on them at-least, so members are still using them not knowing it’s a safety risk. The machines look like they’re from 1995 and then some barley installed maybe but in such an awkward position, so no one actually goes hard. There’s a hip thrust machine right at the line of the walk path with the head pointed towards the walk path, so if anyone is in a hurry and doesn’t see there’s a person there or if two people are chatting and walking, someone could easily trip over someone’s head. The power racks are all facing awkward positions. No one wipes down their machines, so if you have allergies or sensitive or just in general if you’re wearing shorts, you just gotta pray you don’t catch something. There’s minimal to no music here so it’s awkwardly quiet? (The music was only coming from a class) Like to the point where you can literally hear the instructor in a private lessons room talking? Imputing again, you can’t even hear someone else breathing or someone running on a machine. It’s like we’re back in high school taking an exam?
I asked a guy if he’d be able to tell me if I was doing something correctly on a machine. This was a new a gym to me, so I wanted to ensure I’d get proper form using the machine properly to minimize any injuries. Typical gym culture is friendly, spots are provided if needed and if they’re able, heck even encourage you to hit another rep here and there. Here though? The guy literally said, “no this machine doesn’t need cleaning I’m using this machine” and then pointed to his friend. Bro the disrespect. The racism. To think I was the help. My guy, the membership is literally replacing a coffee cup a day, calm down. I was shocked, humiliated, upset. All I could do is finish my last set and leave. This behavior seemed to be the norm for nearly everyone here however? If I experienced it, I can’t imagine what the children are experiencing in the daycare provided. Which was the only reason I was willing to leave the gym I love for this one. The daycare had one kid in it, my son was left alone to just run around and do nothing. It was heart breaking walking into the daycare room to see him alone, he was ready to leave immediately as soon as he seen me and we were only there max 25 minutes? Might as well just pay a baby sitter to stay home with kiddo. Overall, the worst experience I’ve ever had not only with a gym, but with a business in general.

Review for Anastasiia at Life Time Centennial

From the very first session, I knew I was in great hands with Anastasiia. She immediately helped me correct my form, making me realize that I had been doing many exercises incorrectly for years—often leading to minor aches and injuries.

In just two months of training with her, I’ve already noticed a big difference. I feel stronger, more energized, and most importantly, I no longer leave the gym feeling worn out or in pain. Anastasiia’s approach is focused, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive. She challenges me in the right ways while always making sure I’m moving safely and effectively.

Without a doubt, she’s the best personal trainer I’ve ever worked with—and I’m truly grateful for the progress we’ve made together. Highly recommended!

I used to be a member here 10 years ago. I recently rejoined. It has really gone downhill. The cold plunge taking away a hot tub is ridiculous. Everything is dirty in the locker rooms, the basketball courts have been taken over by pickleball, you have to pay for almost everything outside of the most basic classes on top of the already exorbitant membership fees and kids can't even swim past 6pm with their parents anymore

I witnessed an incredible moment at Lifetime Fitness Centennial. As I was leaving, I heard a “Code [X]” on the walkie-talkie, and within seconds, staff from all areas sprinted to the parking lot. A member had slipped on the ice, and their response was immediate, coordinated, and professional. It was refreshing to see a genuine human response to a human moment—no hesitation, just people stepping up to help. Their communication was clear, their actions were precise, and they handled the situation with care. A great example of leadership, teamwork, and a culture that truly values people.

This place would be great if they restricted the number of memberships they hand out, and a few more tweaks.

The latest puzzling move is the decision to turn one of their hot tubs into a cold plunge - leading to an absolutely overflowing hot tub and an absolutely empty cold plunge pool.

As it stands - unless you are able to workout at off hours - the price being asked for is not worth it. And forget trying to work out during core hours on the weekend. The parking lot, as large as it is, is practically overflowing.

As it stands, the quite high membership price is simply not worth it when the facility is so crowded that you cannot actually use any of the amenities.

I docked two stars for the crowds, and one star for the weak water pressure in the showers and occasionally filthy bathrooms.

One of the biggest, most comprehensive gyms I’ve ever been to. They’re definitely priced high - this place isn’t cheap, and they have a waiting list, but you won’t find anything comparable in the area.

They have every machine known to mankind, massage chairs that are amazing (when they’re not broken), nine Pickleball courts and an amazing community… and a pool set up in the summer that everyone loves… you name it.

The negatives I’ve seen thus far given the price are:
- marginal maintenance of on some equipment / areas as noted on other reviews
- recent decision to convert one of their two large whirlpools to a cold plunge
- while the staff is usually amazing, recently i called to ask a couple of questions, and got kind of berated for calling and bothering them instead of going to the app (the answer wasn’t on the app / website, btw)… an outlier, but not a great experience. Nothing like getting castigated for asking a question.

Re that last, instead of having two moderately crowded hot tubs in the evening, we now have one extremely crowded hot tub and one very empty cold plunge. Everyone i’ve talked to can’t understand why they did it that way. It’s usually a small cold plunge and a big hot tub.

Definitely first world problems, but given the price, the expectations are high. Relative to the high price, this place is unfortunately par.

Well maintained, lots of machines, clean, and friendly staff. I would give 5 stars, however the water pressure in the showers is so low that I have to take a star off. It's really difficult to shower after workouts here, which is tough when you work out before heading to work. Other than that it's a great gym!

Loving to come to the lifetime gym , but lately experience is not getting better. For the cost of membership- it really has to be aligned !
I just recently forgotten my glasses at the spa facility, I had to ask lady at the front desk to pass the message for employees at the spa facility ( it’s just part of a customer service), because I just could not reach them at all. So it would not be hard for the front desk person to get a sticky note and leave it for them or somehow to pass the massage .however instead I have been advised to try calling them back in the morning, unfortunately could not reach them. I do work and cannot come during the week between 10:00 am -7pm - I do work !

Sad to say this place is slipping.
For what members pay to use this facility one would expect a first class experience.
Today experience was far less than that.
To start - after using the restroom in the men's locker room, I wash my hands and surprise no paper towels. I go the the other paper towel holder and there were none there.
It a simple thing to provide but may be just a bad moment.
After working out I return to the locker room to shower and steam. I grab a towel to head to the shower and the locker room bath towel is so small I could barely get it around me. I'm not a huge man I have a 34 inch waist. I felt bad for larger members for their experience would be much worse.
I hit the shower and the water pressure was so weak I was frustrated trying to rinse the shampoo from my hair.
Walking into the steam room, I was greeted by the dirtiest smell. I felt as if this place had not been cleaned in months. On the floor of the steam room, there were no less than 10 wet used towels just laying on the floor. To make this experience worse, there is little to no steam.
I am a member of lifetime specifically for the steam rooms. After having throat cancer, the steam is soothing on my throat. This experience was far less than soothing.
I am not a regular at this location but feel bad for the members that this is there everyday experience.

I was looking into a membership and spoke to two people who didn't seem very knowledgeable about the club. I wasn't told of many amenities. I was asked "what questions do you have?" So, I had to ask all questions. i.e. is there a pool? Basically, I was told, "we have a pool with a fee, pickleball, and tennis."

I wasn't offered a tour. They offered so little information that I had to ask for a tour. However, I will pass. It seems that almost the same amenities and employees with better attitudes are offered at "basic" gyms.

So while you are outside at the pool in the 95 degree heat you can forget about getting a cold drink or anything else. I have never heard of such an outrageous thing. This has got to be the worst run life time in the country. I will be cancelling my membership very shortly and going to the new wheat ridge life time. This one in centennial is ghetto as hell.

Rave Review for Spencer O. at Lifetime Fitness Centennial!

I cannot say enough good things about Spencer O. and his Amp cycle class at Lifetime Fitness Centennial. Having never taken a cycle class before, I was a bit apprehensive when I first joined two months ago. However, Spencer's incredible energy, motivation, and kindness have turned me into a cycle class enthusiast for life.

Spencer has a unique ability to make every class exciting and engaging. His infectious energy and positive attitude keep me motivated throughout the entire session. He truly cares about each participant's experience and ensures everyone feels welcomed and encouraged. Thanks to Spencer, I now look forward to each class and have seen tremendous improvements in my fitness and overall well-being.

In addition to being an outstanding cycle instructor, Spencer also works at the gym in other capacities. He consistently goes out of his way to greet me and treat me as a friend outside of class. His excitement and friendly demeanor extend beyond the cycle room, creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere throughout the entire gym.

Spencer's Amp cycle class is the reason I will continue to be a loyal member at Lifetime Centennial. If you're looking for a cycle instructor who will inspire and push you to be your best, look no further than Spencer O. He is simply the best!

I moved from St. Paul area and this lifetime just isn’t as good.

I asked for a tour since I was new to the location, the front desk girl looked at me blankly.

Dropped my son off at the kid center.. EMPTY. It looks nice but upon getting him I noticed he had a soiled diaper. No one had called me to change him and you could definitely smell it. Went to the bathroom to change him.. trashcans overflowing with diapers and smelled. He was the only child there. No reason the place isn’t being maintained.

That was the only time I went and canceled my membership immediately. Very disappointed. There’s better gyms around for way less that are better maintained. Do not recommend.

Honestly really like this place. I feel like the locker rooms are clean and nice, including a steam room and sauna. There’s hot tubs, lap pools, and a family swim area. My daughter can’t wait until summer for the outside pool. The yoga studio and instructors are great, and a lot of reviews mention upgrading the fitness area, but they have all of the equipment I could think of. I haven’t been climbing here yet, but the wall looks good enough for low key climbing and exercise.

Also, for anyone looking to use the kids club, it’s pretty good! I have a 3 year old and an infant. There’s an outside play area connected to the childcare, so the kids can get some sunshine. All the teachers are nice, and even my super anxious kiddo ends up having fun every time. I definitely feel safe with them.

The gym itself is impressive. Classes are crowded and require reservations. The biggest disappointment is the complete lack of customer service or follow up with any type of request. I had an Achilles rupture and reached out multiple times (with zero return calls) to get my account put on hold. I was told I needed to talk to the GM. I left a message directly for him and still never received a call back. I suppose Lifetime feels customer service and the need to return calls is beneath them as far as customer service. Unfortunately the example is consistent right up the chain of command. Disappointing at best.

This club is ASTONISHGLY overpriced for what is being offered here.

On the outside and while on a brief tour, it may look quite nice at first glance--they certainly did an excellent job siting the gym to face the mountains with the outdoor pool to match.

The problem is that I don't want to pay hundreds of dollars each month just
to look at a nice view I can see from my (free) public park nearby.

The issues:

1) The cardio equipment is kept in extremely poor repair. The vast majority of machines """appear""" functional, but attempting to use them will quickly reveal high-pitched squeaking, unbalanced parts, unpredictable and sudden software shutdowns mid-workout, or bizarre instances of friction inside of a single cycle of a treadmill, bike, etc. Repeated complaints to management leads to them actually making a sincere effort to "repair" them, but these "repairs" are too often simply deep-clean jobs that merely "grease the wheels", as it were, metaphorically adding a bit of sawdust to the motor area in order to preserve the visual and auditory illusion that everything is fine, when the issue is that the machines simply need to be entirely replaced with brand-new models.

2) They apparently feel the need to do serious maintenance (that dramatically impedes use of the facilities) during open hours when members are still actively exercising. I can't tell you how many times I've been there late at night and they've started spraying nasty chemicals everywhere, rooting up dust from the ceiling, using high-pitched drills to make endless holes in the wall (for hours on end), or closing down *the entire locker room* well before closing time, without notice. It was unbelievable that when I went in there to grab my car keys to depart before closing time, one of the workers had the nerve to berate me as "causing a safety hazard" for simply walking to my locker and retrieving my belongings. If you need to close the gym early, send an email--don't leave a hastily scribbled handwritten message on the doorway indicating half the club is unusable for one reason or another due to poor planning on your part. Why should the pool or both hot tubs be entirely unusable during open hours without prior notice, when there is clearly no emergency rationalizing such? Who knows.

3) The shower area is incredibly unsafe due to poor floor design. The water pools in walking areas due to the uneven nature of the floor and lack of sufficient drainage, leading to a constant slipping risk whenever one is simply attempting to wash off after a workout. It's even worse when the showers are spray cleaned with soap while members are still there; huge amounts of soapy water in the walkways turns a nice wind-down shower to a "the floor is hot lava" game that couldn't be more unpleasant to deal with when cold, exhausted, and sleepy in the half-hour before midnight they decide to inflict this challenge upon me near-nightly.

4) The newest employees frequently act like I am inconveniencing them for simply existing several yards away, in the same room where they are walking through while mostly staring at their smartphones. Raise your wages to attract better behaved employees, LT, and everyone will be happy. We know you can afford it.

5) They consistently raise prices without ever increasing amenities or (apparently) employee pay. They waste enormous resources on """pickleball""" and a ridiculous """workspace""" area, both of which are only used by retirees for the former who get a free membership via Medicare (apparently this is the population that provides them with the greatest profits) and their own employees (because they had to demolish their offices to make room for this nonsense """workspace"""). You will be nickel-and-dimed for simply continuing to be a member, on top of being force-fed their nasty advertising in every direction you look. Disgustingly hostile to the "resort" vibes they try to portray in their advertising.

Only reason I am still a member here is their late-night hours. Lack of competition is their only selling point!

I just signed up under my boyfriend’s account. I’ve never stepped foot into a lifetime fitness but due to such great feedback from him, I decided to do the family plan. Upon entering the facility, it looks like a wonderful one stop shop for most of your fitness needs. When we signed up, I was not given a tour, nor was the associate helpful at all. Instead she provided me a sticky note with my member number and relied lazily on my boyfriend to do her job. Day 2 of being a member and I’m still unable to simply create an account due to a character limitation on username. For the membership cost of this gym, this is a below subpar experience.

Would leave a 4.5 star review if I could! The classes/instructors are AMAZING, staff is so friendly/accommodating, kids club activities/staff is awesome, and facility/equipment is new and shiny. My complaint, is the cleanliness/availability of the bathrooms for those of us with opposite gender children. As a mom of 3 boys, I have to use the family change room. Of the 8 rooms, only 2 have bathrooms, the other 6 only have showers. My youngest is only 3, so I can’t send him in the men’s bathroom alone. The 2 family bathrooms that are obviously overused are disgusting, and often we wait 5-10 minutes to get into one. I’m not thrilled about sending my 6 and 8 year old into a men’s locker room where older men are walking around naked, so we usually end up having them pee outside on a tree. We will be members of lifetime for the foreseeable future, but I am pretty disappointed at the family locker rooms!

I actually really like this gym and haven't had any of the experiences reflected in the negative reviews. I think they have some great instructors and a variety of classes. The gym itself has quite a few amenities, which are much nicer in comparison to some of the other local gyms. They do offer livestreaming classes as well, which I take advantage of from time to time.

What I am taking one star off for, however, is their class reservations policy. You need to reserve a spot to take a class. This is great in theory, but the execution has been incredibly frustrating for me. Once you sign up for a class, you have up to two hours until prior to the start of the class to cancel the reservation. Otherwise, you'll be marked as absent (depending on the instructor). 3 missed reservations in 30 days or less will temporarily suspend your ability to make a reservation for 7 days. (quoted from their site).

The trouble I've had is that:
1) 2 hours prior to the start time is completely ridiculous, especially if you have kids. So much can happen just minutes before class that can make you late (sick kids, running late, change of schedule, etc.). Even with the three strikes flexibility, it feels almost insulting to get a "strike" when you have other life matters to deal with (especially if classes don't fill up). Begging to have this changed!

2) Many, many times, I've shown up to a class, but been marked as not there by the instructor. When I try to have this stricken from my account, it's been nearly impossible. I've never had success via emails or phone calls. It should be simple. If we've checked in/scanned our membership card at the front desk (which is easy to validate), it should be assumed that we made it to the class we signed up for.

3) A couple of times, I've never signed up for a class, but gotten a "Missed reservation" email.

4) I also had an experience where I've gotten a strike for going to a class that I didn't register for (but that had plenty of open spaces). I simply wanted to enjoy a class when I had the time but didn't have the opportunity to register for it as the registration window had closed. In this situation, the instructor had to go out of their way to give me a strike and apparently knew my name in order to do that. Seriously?

5) Even if you reserve a spot, it's unclear how it works. More often than not, I come to class seeing somebody who's already in my spot. Or, the instructors flat-out disregard enforcing or communicating how the spots work. So, there's no enforcement or clarity around this.

Hoping a few things change based on feedback.

Lifetime has great facilities and it has been a great place for families in the past. But, they ignore enforcing their own code of conduct policies in a couple of areas but especially in their weight machine area. I've seen some hostile behavior from some patrons in their weight room area over the past few years - E.G. I've seen people sitting on weight machines using I-phones & even I-pads and saw them refuse to let other people who have been waiting to use the machine, to work-in with them or get off the machine even when they had finished using it.

Recently a similiar incident happened to me too. After waiting to use a machine for over 20 minutes I asked how many more sets the person using the machine would be taking. He would not answer me. When I asked politely if I could work-in with him, he said "no, use another machine". When I explained to him that this was the only machine of this type and that I had finished using all of my other machines and asked him again if I could work in with him, I was threatened if I did not go away. When I told him I would speak to management he said "go ahead".

I reported him to management and they talked to him. They said that he apologized profusely saying: 'He had a bad day', 'he was sorry', 'he over reacted', 'it would not happen again'. Management warned him that his behavior was unacceptable and it better not happen again. I thought the problem was handled.

Twenty minutes after he apologized to management, as I was leaving the exercise area to go home, this guy was waiting for me by the stairs and verbally accosted me again. When he saw that I was going to complain to management again he left the premises, yelling at me over his shoulder as he left. I was told management talked to him the next day and he again apologized profusely and they again warned him that his behavior was unacceptable and that it better not happen again.

Maybe it's related to roid rage or just rude behavior that's condoned, but something is wrong at this LifeTime location. If something similiar happens to you at Lifetime I hope you take the time to report it.

This gym has become such a disappointment...

Amenities and benefits of this gym have been chipped away year by year. New members now have to pay extra just to use the outside pool, memberships are $180/month plus tax, there's no more indoor turf, and a basketball court was removed making it so that it's impossible to play basketball unless you want to shoot hoops with ten others at the same time. Want to use the one basketball court despite it being absolutely packed? Too bad! There's a bounce house and a bunch of kids that have to use it. Pretty sure LTF could just switch from being a gym to a birthday party center.

Outside of this their equipment and maintenance is horrendous. Their indoor hot tub was broken for over a month! It's beyond frustrating not being able to use basic features of a gym that you could get for a sixth of the price LTF charges. 24 hour, VASA, and Chuze would never have their hot tub down for over a month. Even when things are working, the locker rooms are filthy and staffed by kids just starting the ninth grade. You'd think with all the extra profit from dues they could hire more competent non minimum wage employees, but of course not.

I actually would be fine paying more each month if the quality was actually improving. This Lifetime however, believes they can do the opposite by objectively lowering the quality while deciding to absolutely inflate dues to the max. It cannot be overstated how much the quality has gone down.

They've taken existing spaces people used to be able to use for free and tried to squeeze more profit out of them by now charging members to use an area that used to be free (i.e. outdoor pool and the old indoor turf area). Along with this, they've made it not 24/7 anymore. There's 32 hours of the week the gym is not opened that it used to be open. Do members get a discount off of LTF saving 32 hours of labor? Nope..

If you are obsessed with pickleball only then I guess this gym would work out for you, but it is NOT worth the money and you will be continually frustrated by them.

Lifetime has unfairly changed its policy toward pickleball players. Lifetime is requiring a Signature level membership for anyone that wants to play pickleball. However, even though Signature level is common for tennis play, the facilities for pickleball are nowhere close to those for tennis. Tennis play has a very large separate building for indoor tennis play and also a huge number of outdoor tennis courts. Pickleball facilities are nowhere close to the size or quality of indoor facilities but there are no pickleball outdoor facilities either. There is no justification for the higher membership fee.
I played pickleball outdoors today on brand new outdoor pickleball courts and played for free. The courts were nicer than Lifetime. Convert all of the tennis courts to pickleball and any pickleball player would be happy to play the Signature level memberships fee.

They also have extremely rude personal trainers that have no awareness for other patrons. Also the layout of the gym makes no sense. I am not an avid pickle ball player and was disappointed when they eliminated an entire basketball court to add more pickle ball courts. They are greedy and chasing money at the expense of the members.

LOVE THIS PLACE! I’ve been wanting to get back in the gym, it’s typically not a super fun experience. This place is a game changer 100%. Especially if you have kids. It’s a whole experience every time you go. They have 50 classes a day that you can pick from not only for yourself, but for the kids that are included in on the membership. The gym is huge. They have a ton on one on one classes as well. The kids play place is pretty epic. They have their own kid size basketball court along with play place and classes, they’re super good with kids. When I go, I typically prefer the classes and then they have a fully decked out locker room as if you’re in a spa ALL the goods. You don’t even have to bring your own towels! So, of course, I usually like six of them every time I go. ;) I go to class, the steam room, then I shower.. I feel great every time when I leave. It’s so much different than any other gym. I would pay more for how wonderful this place is. I know when you look at the price you’re going be like that’s too much for a gym, we’ll you have to go, and then you will understand. I have always had a good experience here. Usually I have to quit gyms after a few months because of all of the excessive compliments I get from people at the gym. As you know, the worst thing a human get get is compliments from another human. But I have not had this classical problem. Everyone is instead quiet 🤫 and politely ensconced in their digital worlds. The gym is clean and has many unused machines.

Just getting worse. People fight over the last remaining basketball court because instead of expanding they are replacing heavily used basketball courts with pickleball courts. Ridiculous. I dont see anyone using tennis courts, why not replace those?

I have been going here for 10+ years, they used to be a more “local” feel gym that was family oriented. Unfortunately Lifetime has gotten really corporate and don’t care too much about their people. I’m a basketball player, and they changed the basketball courts at all of the Lifetimes around the country to be pickleball courts. I get it, they want to go where the money is. There are a lot of good people that work at this Lifetime though.

I switched to lifetime thinking it was a better gym. What a disappointment! A lot of their equipment is broken, they just have 2 ropes to work biceps, u went from paying $25 to $165 to find out its the same as VASA. Yes they have a better pool and racket ball courts but all I wanted was weight room.

Great over all but the new PB courts are really hard to play on . Lots and lots of dead spots, bsl doesn't bounce and horrible vibration from basketball. Need to take wood out and re-install on concrete. Real bummer 😕

They have turned it into a pickle ball gym!! They got rid of the turf and now the basketball hoops and turned them all into pickle ball courts. After being a member for over 10 years my family is canceling our membership.

This facility no longer allows use of the basketball courts for basketball and repeatedly misrepresented this to keep membership. I will never have anything to do with Lifetime Fitness again. Find somewhere else to work out or you will lied to and defrauded eventually as well.

Lifetime Fitness Centennial CO 5000 Dry Creek is a nice facility, but it’s not fair to close the basketball courts down for regular members use to become available only for birthday parties. I’ve been to four other Lifetime Fitness locations and never had this access problem to the basketball courts.

I could not be more disappointed with this Lifetime location! Have always enjoyed them in the past, but this location has now permanently shut down its basketball courts to host birthday parties. It’s a GYM, for gosh sakes!!! Talk about a decision made for making money and greed over about caring for the athletics and current members which should be their priority. Our whole family is disgusted and cancelling our membership. Shame on them!!

DO NOT LET THIS FACILITY HOST BIG EVENTS LIKE SWIM MEETS!!

Typical GIANT facility which lacks all the things that make ANY facility great: communication, common-sense, reasonableness, etc. But this particular post is about how any swim team competition, MUCH LESS THE CHAMPIONSHIPS, should never have been hosted at this venue. SURE--there are more than enough places for parents to sit or park...but actually see your kid swim??? GOOD LUCK. Each team set up their "coaching table," which now seems to include family members and favorite swimmers all across the area--leaving almost no room for parents to see their own kids swim. I personally witnessed several parents try to get the tables moved, or consolidate them, or something--anything--but no LIFETIME STAFF ever made the time to assist with that need. So...parents complained all afternoon about not even being able to SEE what was going on, much less hear it. And though it was scorching outside, kids weren't allowed from being in the actual pool area while they waited for their event (to warm up or, stay cool for crying out loud) because the facility (AS BIG AS IT WAS) seemed to have no lifeguard on duty! WHA?? Still, the kids are on a SWIM TEAM...so don't necessarily need a lifeguard. But what was open early and staffed with at least 6 people?? THE CAFE. Yup--the money making center...fetching us ridiculously over-priced items. I felt like I was at the airport. FLEECE CITY. Life Time was intent on having that place thoroughly staffed...to the extent they even had an employee with a serious hand injury come in, with--according to him-- management told him to just "work through" it. Honestly, this place was a HOT MESS today. I URGE swim clubs to refuse this location as a FINAL EVENT AREA for next year. At least, until they can get it together, or impose rules which will accomodate the parents...who are paying for this whole thing (and staffing it!). In fact, I remember the main hostess setting up the grey and white tent very early in the morning on the small peninsula and expressing to me her concerns about swimmers going past that mark due to the electrical wires. It was great that she had paid attention to that....but HONESTLY...it does not seem that she OR ANYONE ELSE had paid any attention whatsoever to the actual needs of the event being hosted before we all got there. IT WAS AN UNPROFESSIONAL S*% SHOW. LIFETIME WAS GREATLY UNPREPARED.

Regular self motivated gym goers aren’t as important as customers who are paying for a personal trainer, be prepared to get kicked off of equipment so the more important trainers and their clients can use it and take up more than one machine at a time.

This has got to be one of the best gyms. It is spacious and welcoming. Has plenty of equipment for all fitness levels, great instructor led classes, clean facility, easy reservations through the life time app, and a kids center that can’t be beat. You can drop your kids off for up to 2.5 hours while you work out (infants 3mo to a year I believe is 1 hour with reservation) and at least 3 weekends a month they have 3 hour parents night out on sat where you can drop your kids off. Plus, they have plenty of classes for kids ranging from arts and crafts to work out/dance classes. All of these are free with membership. The on-site cafe is pretty good for when you need a quick bite. The indoor/outdoor pools feel like you’re in a big resort. Best of all, the staff there are incredible. We are often greeted by name. When my kid hurt herself in the indoor gym space, the general manager heard and made a personal call to us. Oh and they don’t have registration fees. They’re not pushy with membership but honestly the membership sells itself.

The place is beautiful with great equipment but they charge a lot for membership and then yoga, Pilates and lots of their classes aren't included in that. I asked about guests and they have very strict rules so you can't even have family visit and bring them more than once in a month. I joined for the Pickelball and the open play is almost always booked.

So far, it's been 3 months, and I'm really happy with my membership and the experience! Having the childcare center is a game changer, and the amenities, overall, are wonderful! I will say, the locker rooms aren't always the cleanest & the Life Cafe has truly horrible service. On 3 occasions they've completely forgot my families orders. Beyond those little hiccups, the club is beautiful and has a lot to order! With the price being what it is though, I think customer service, especially in the cafe (esp with the price of food) could improve!

The aquatics team are absolutely lazy and ridiculous about their policies. There is no management available during the weekends so you’ll have to speak to teenagers who refer to you as “sweetie” and will relentlessly argue with you in front of your young children. Lastly there is no effort to keep traffic out of the family dressing rooms as you’ll often run into sweaty men and male lifeguards using it as a shortcut when you’re children are trying to get dressed.

I had a membership with lifetime since 2018, but the Centennial location is the least diplomatic and unprofessional gym I’ve ever been to. Shout

I went there for the purpose of getting a membership. I I formed the salesman that given my back operation that I could only do the pool and the recumbent bike for the foreseeable future. The salesman quoted me $140/month, which for me is very expensive if I can't even use the equipment there. I asked if there were any discounts given I wouldn't even be using 90% of the club and he said no. He was completely uninterested and looked like he had better things to do. So, I will continue to look around and see what I can find that is much closer to home. Their loss...

We joined Lifetime fitness a few months ago and I wish I had joined sooner! The kids club and infant care is fantastic. Specifically, Emily and Cassandra have done such a wonderful job taking care of my children (5, 2 1/2, and 5 months) while I workout or swim with one or two or the kids.
A few times the older ones have not wanted to leave me, and Emily engages them and makes it “fun” so the transition is easier. She has such a positive attitude and engages so well with the kids.
Cassandra has taken such good care of my infant. They are both such valuable employees!

My son and his friend went there and they enjoyed it. The only problem is that they wanted to play pickleball and the court was open from 4 am to 10 am who’d even want to go at 4 in the morning. The basketball courts, The LifeCafe and the swimming pool was enjoyable.
