Lux Strength is private and small group strength training facility designed to help people move better, get strong, and challenge themselves. Coach Charis and her team of coaches provide a fun space where you can learn from the best in the business how to lift weights without pain and take your performance to the next level. This is a fantastic facility to learn about all things strength training. The owner, Charis, has an incredibly wide ranging skillset that includes barbell work, kettlebell training, and Pilates. This may sound like hyperbole, but she is an expert in all three disciplines and has the credentials to back it up.
Too often in the fitness world practitioners seem to get caught up dogma, finding the ‘best’ system that everyone needs to train with - if only it were that simple. To find someone like Charis who understands the overlapping points of each discipline and can teach someone what might work best for them based on what they want to accomplish is a rarity.
If you’re in Denver and looking to understand how to get stronger in a more quiet and focused atmosphere, this is the place.

I've been powerlifting for the last 12 years, to a world standard in recent years. I've worked with some top coaches and pride myself on my dedication for improving my knowledge and use of that knowledge. With that said, Charis is one of the few people that I look to to improve many nuances with my technique, targetting weaknesses and improving movement proficiency and efficiency.

Working with Charis was an incredible experience. She’s one of the most knowledgeable trainers I’ve had the chance to work with. She prioritized foundational work and I learned so much about my body and how to support it in ways that set me up for pain relief, strength, and growth in a way that will actually last! I not only learned so much about various exercises, lifting, and so much more- but learned it about MY body because Charis was able to really educate me and customize to my needs. If you have the chance to train with Charis, I can’t recommend it enough!

A clean, welcoming, and safe place to work out. These requirements are all met here and exceed the expectations of what a gym is supposed to be. What sets this place apart is Charis. Charis is the most educated coach I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Her eagle eye can pick out weaknesses in you, but most importantly, she knows how to make you stronger so you will not be injured in the future. I am currently in a program designed by her for the vanity muscles: Glutes, Abs, and Delts. What I did not expect was how her training has translated into other aspects of my life, such as snowboarding, cycling, and simply walking. I cannot say enough great things about this gym and about Charis. I am grateful for a positive experience every time I come see her.

I stopped at Lux Strength for a mat Pilates class while visiting Denver, Colorado in August 2022. This was my first experience with mat Pilates and I my expectations were exceeded.
I enjoy a variety of methods of exercising that include yoga, weight training, Muay Thai and pole fitness. Despite these outlets, I still felt challenged by the exercises that charis implemented. But don’t let that discourage you! I was in a class with other individuals who described themselves as beginners and people who do not usually enjoy exercising. Both them and I had a great time. Charis brings her warmth and humor to the class which helps you overcome any mental blocks that you may have.
Not only did I feel the burn of the exercises, I felt the lengthening and release of any tension in my muscles. I was super happy that I got a chance to take the class while visiting. Charis is such a talented coach and if I was living in Denver I’d be a regular for her classes and training sessions. Please go to her asap!

Lux is one of the most beautiful and clean gyms I have been to. It’s full of every tool and piece of equipment you would need to get strong in a compact space. I worked with Coach Charis, owner of Lux Strength through online coaching and training programs. She has a thorough understanding of how to work with your own physiologies to improve strength with the body as an integrated system. The gym has a great vibe, coffee (!!) and allows for barefoot training as well.

What a great spot. Great equipment and people, but most of all, great leadership. Charis is an incredibly strong woman who understands the mechanics of lifting better than anyone I've met. Her energy, fire, and attitude also make her extremely fun to train with and learn from. She pulls no punches, tells it like it is, and will help you on your fitness journey no matter what your goals are. Can't recommend this place enough.

I love training here! Coach Charis makes me want to show up. She has impeccably high standards and knows her ish! The equipment is great, it’s CLEAN, and there are donation based programs consistently on really helpful topics. Charis has helped me in so many ways before and after having my baby. If you are feeling disconnected from your body(like I was) and like you don’t know where to start or if you are a pro, or injured, or anything in between…Start here! Coach Charis has been good to me and her corrective coaching has been even better to my body. I feel good, grateful, strong as heck and I feel like I have no limits. It all started here!

I recently started 1:1 training with Coach Charis. I have always been intimidated by anything at the gym that is not an elliptical or treadmill. Coach Charis is super knowledgeable, supportive & an awesome teacher. I actually look forward to our training sessions, which I don't think I have ever said about the gym before. Whether your starting skill level is zero (like me) or somewhere way above that, highly recommend.
Also, the location is great & what was a bonus for me at least - the windows/door face just off of Tejon (towards a parking area) so you get some privacy while working out (ie not everyone that walks down Tejon gets to watch you workout)
