I have been a client of Dan Wilk’s gym and training methodology since late October, 2024 and I can say emphatically that I am stronger and more confident, safer from injury, and able to do more both at home and outdoors, whether it’s chores or hiking or many other activities. Dan provides such a customized program that evolves as I need it to both stabilize & strengthen all the aspects of my functional movements. His deep understanding of anatomy and physiology and nutrition that he utilizes as he plans each workout session make each session worthwhile and safe. He protects his clients from injuries both at the gym and in their daily lives. To do so, he teaches how to do the basic movements, how to brace and balance to minimize falls .
I am a retired physician and I really appreciate his knowledge and gifts of creativity in customizing my program and I can say the workouts twice weekly are highlights in my week and I can truly see my progress!

Dan has been training me for several months now. I switched coaches in the Summer of 2024 after my coach was just not understanding my injury protocol following an Achilles rupture and surgery. Dan was way more hands on and accommodating and worked with my PT to understand what my limitations were. My lifts quickly went back to pre injury status, and I even quickly got a PR on my deadlift. He has also since coached me through a minor back tweak and has been very interested in building my body for longevity in powerlifting as well. As someone coming from the Physics PhD world, his approach to training is very scientific as long as you as the client give him feedback (his data). I am in my mid 30s now and definitely the strongest I have ever been. I still try and persuade folks at the gym to hire him as a coach, with only a small part of that being that I would love a training partner. Of all the folks I have seen and heard my lifting friends use, I still trust his knowledge and expertise as a trainer over theirs.

I found Dan through a mutual friend he trained, and I’m really glad I did. Exercising in front of people was always a challenge for me. Being able to workout in a private space and make mistakes without people watching allowed me to turn an interest I had into a hobby that I regularly enjoy. I like the fact that the gym has everything you could need to workout, but it's a homey setting that allows me to feel comfortable. I can focus on my weaknesses and turn them into a strength. I like having someone get to know me, watch how I move, understand my patterns and habits and give targeted feedback.

I just completed my 40th session with Dan and I couldn’t be happier! Dan’s approach to fitness and whole body is truly amazing, whether your goals are aesthetic, strength, nutrition or rehabilitation he can customize a plan made just for you! Not only is Dan a great coach but he is also a fantastic teacher and will push and inspire you to reach your personal best. Seeking out a trainer can be intimidating and definitely puts you in a vulnerable state of mind, stop thinking about it and get over your fears, this guy is wicked smart and his years of experience put him far and above any other trainer I’ve worked with in the past. I’ve been working out with Dan for the past year, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with his precision and skill. Over the past 10 years, I’ve worked with other trainers who were focused on technique as well, but Dan is truly stellar. He stands out because his passion for fitness and overall healthy living shines through in every suggestion. There isn’t anything that he would recommend that he hasn’t tested out himself to determine its efficacy. Dan helps you think through the fitness myths out there, so you focus on what works, and he’s constantly refining his skills and techniques, so you know that you are getting the best advice. If you're looking to be fit throughout your pregnancy than look no further!!! Dan is beyond knowledgeable when it comes to weight lifting and nutrition. He designed an entire plan around my goals to be strong and physically prepared for delivery. He's continued to change up my program as my baby grows; keeping the workouts fresh yet challenging. My doctor was so pleased with my progress at my last check up, she asked for a stack of Dan's business cards so she could refer other patients. Dan is truly an expert in the field.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Dan recently. My husband has been working out about 40 years and is in good shape for his age. I have been working out for about 30 years, and Dan impressed both of us. He is top notch, and knows his "stuff". He is a fun, but serious trainer. The biggest attribute that Dan Wilk offers as a personal trainer is that he truly cares about his clients. Since day one, Dan took the time to create workouts with variety ensuring that I’d never get bored and that I’d be building all muscle groups. He is always available via email, text or in person if I have a question about nutrition or an exercise. Furthermore, he checks up on my food logs to encourage me to stay on track and to make recommendations for more complete nutrition to attain maximum results. I’ve been happy with my weight loss and new found strength which has relieved my back issues. He is dependable, encouraging and really pushes me to my fullest potential. I highly recommend Dan Wilk as a personal trainer, our sessions have been invaluable.

Short version: Dan is a legit personal trainer with a fully-equipped private gym. You can tell from talking with him for 2 minutes: he knows what's up. Highly, highly recommend.
Long version: I came to Dan after several years of stagnation with my training. I injured my back in college, and basically have trained around the injury every since.
Within a couple minutes of discussing my issues and watching me perform some motions and exercises, Dan immediately pinpointed the problems with my routines and the issues with my back. He helped me re-learn a lot of my problematic habits with form, and I'm not training around my back anymore. I'm even back to deadlifting and bar squats: that's how much confidence his training has given me.
On top of that, Dan is extremely knowledgeable about nutrition. I thought I knew everything there was to know about my macros, etc, but he's helped me refocus my diet, and the results have been fantastic.
I don't normally write reviews, but I'm a couple of months into my training with Dan and it has completely changed my outlook on my own personal fitness and made me realize I can be as strong as I used to be. In fact, I've been hitting new PRs, and I'm training harder and more effectively than I ever have before.
I cannot recommend Dan highly enough. If you're thinking about signing up for a free consultation with him, do it. You won't regret it.

I have belonged to various gyms for nearly 20 years and never made much progress. Once I started training with Dan I I finally got results. I finally experienced muscle growth and started losing body fat. My whole body became more defined. I attribute this to Dan’s close attention to detail and proper form and exercise explanations. His knowledge of nutrition in regards to a person who lifts weights and is active has helped me tremendously as well. Despite being in my 40’s I have never been in this good of shape and am lifting more weight than ever in my life. Since I started training with Dan I've been very pleased with the results. Dan’s knowledge of fitness and nutrition is second to none. Also, his ability to motivate helped me achieve fantastic results (+20 lbs of muscle in the first 9 months of training with him).
