About the Club

The only physical therapy based yoga in Colorado Springs. This yoga is grounded in three main principles. Kinesiology, physiology, and neurology. I have multiple certifications in yoga and my last was 500 more hours in the LYT yoga method. Modern Yoga Colorado is bringing safe, sustainable and strong yoga for our daily demands physically, mentally, spiritually through mobility, stability and adaptability of our body. This yoga is for the experienced yoga teacher to a brand new person wanting better movement in their life. Sequences are grounded to recalibrate our body and brain mapping to move in smarter ways redefining yoga for the demands of our modern life.

Brooke is the best!! She is intense and intentional and passionate! Her classes have helped me more than any other yoga get strong and KEEP my best posture all day and suck in my stomach and turn the glutes on. What she teaches is amazing and I feel so so so blessed she has come into my life!! I look forward to her classes every time. It’s such a great work out.

I found Brooke’s classes at the Westside Community Center (lovely studio with gorgeous Mountain View’s) and now I go multiple times a week. I feel so much better when I go. I am getting stronger. I can tell the work is improving my balance and posture. My mom started coming with me and I’m grateful for how we will get to enjoy more active experiences together (and with her grandkids!) as we both age because these movements keep people mobile through old age. Brooke is extremely generous with her knowledge, welcoming, and offers scholarships and free trial periods for those who can’t afford the typical cost. I loved our class hike up a fourteener, too!

Brooke is amazing!!! Besides exuting kindness and compassion, she has the knowledge, experience and drive to help people get their bodies into alignment. I took a few private lessons with Brooke while I was in town after my niece raved about her experience. I loved how she guided me into each exercise and I loved all her detailed explainations of what the body was doing in real time. I had a major back injury in 2008 and I go in and out of having episodes of pain. Although, I've been helped through other modalities, I think what she teaches is key to staying pain free. She is available for classes, private in person sessions, and offers online sessions. What more could you want?!?! Thank you Brooke!

I read through the reviews and decided to try Modern Yoga - the instructor (Brooke) and classes are as exceptional as the reviews say. I've gone consistently for 4 months now. I'm loving that the classes incorporate neurology, kinesiology and real core work, also that the distinction is made between range of motion and flexibility. I've taken private lessons with Brooke as well and found them to be surprisingly beneficial. I'll keep coming back for the benefits I'm feeling!

Brooke is so much more than just a yoga instructor - she's a miracle worker.
I'm a former Army Ranger whose lower back has been destroyed from jumping out of planes and carrying 75+ lbs. of gear up and down mountains with a crooked gait. I have chronic nerve pain from five bulging disks in my lower back, and have flare-ups that can last over a month during which I can't put weight on my left leg without excruciating pain. In 2022 I became unable to work and was granted 100% disability from the VA. Before I started Brooke's classes, I couldn't get through a single week without at least a couple days of pain so severe all I could do was lay on the floor.
I've been doing her classes for about six months now, and it's been three months since my last major flare-up and a month since my last day of debilitating pain. My chronic pain has been dramatically reduced and I can feel gait beginning to correct itself. Brooke even took time out of her day when I was in pain to send me a video of her demonstrating an exercise I could do that completely stops my flare-ups in their tracks, even though I've never paid her for private instruction. She's not only excellent at what she does but truly cares about her students/clients too. After a decade of trying many different yoga instructors, physical therapists, and chiropractors, I finally feel like I'm not only managing my symptoms but beginning to truly heal. She's done so much more than strengthen my back - she's given me hope I can live a normal life again. And for that I'll be eternally grateful.

Brooke has revolutionized my understanding of mobility and movement in the human body. I have struggled with chronic pain in my muscles for decades, and doctors have been unable to correctly diagnose it. But Brooke was different - she immediately spotted my hypermobility and helped me understand how my natural movements have been working against me all these years, and has been able to isolate and target specific muscles to re-stabilize my body and eliminate and/or manage the chronic pain I thought I was destined to live with forever. I’m going to preface this review with two facts about myself. First, I’m not an athlete and I don’t like to exercise. Secondly, I don’t write reviews unless I feel that services provided were so poor that they needed to be called out or I am really impressed by services provided. Brooke and Colorado Modern Yoga would get more than a 5 star rating if possible. I started playing pickleball almost a year ago because it is fun and social way to exercise. After falling on the court 5-6 times in the past year, the last time hitting my head on a concrete court, I admitted I had to do something about my balance and agility or was going to injure myself severely. I tried yoga for seniors at another agency but it wasn’t the right fit. A friend recommended I try Brooke and Modern Yoga Colorado. I won’t sugarcoat it. The classes are hard, but Brooke is encouraging and patient as are the other people in the class (most, but not all younger than me). I’m over 60 and have never been able to drive with my seat straight up without my lower back spasming. Daily lower back pain and often neck pain was the norm for me. After two months working with Brooke, four private lessons and now group twice weekly, I am now sitting straight up in my car and am able to walk, complete daily activities and play pickleball without back pain! I hope in time that the strengthening, posture and balance improvement will eventually ease the chronic bilateral Achilles pain I suffer from daily. I have better balance on the pickleball court. I weighed the benefits and decided rather than paying a $70 copay for every physical therapy appointment for my heels, the $120 per month for 8 classes monthly using Brooke’s training in yoga and physical therapy for total body strengthening, core strengthening and balance is the better investment in my overall health. I wish I could say I love going to yoga as much as I love pickleball, however after going to class I always feel better for going, have more energy and actually hurt less the next day. Brooke, Thanks for letting me do my best today, but encouraging me to be better tomorrow. I can and I will keep attending Modern Yoga Colorado with Brooke!

Hands down this is my favorite workout class I've ever been to and I have been to many! Brooke is extremely knowledgeable in many ways including neuro reeducation, optimal breathing/postures, and joint protection. This is not your typical yoga class-its loaded with much more. She pays close attention to each person assisting in positioning when needed. This is a must try.

i was so impressed with Brooke’s knowledge as far as how the body all moves together and keeping us more flexible and strong as we age! i will definitely continue with her classes and excited about having a one on one time with her so she can understand my limitations. i’ve had personal trainers, pilates instructors, yoga instructors physical therapist working with my back, but i have complete faith in brooke to help me now!

I feel ridiculously lucky to have met Brooke through one of her yoga session about a month ago. I decided to take advantage of a private session with her that she recorded and then emailed to me. BEST MONEY I HAVE EVER SPENT ON MY BODY . Hearing Brooke's soothing voice reminding me how to do each movement correctly , and watching the video of myself doing these movements in my own home is like having a private session with her every day! I"m 70 years old with rather severe scoliosis and a torn shoulder ligament now, but I am "over the moon" thrilled that I have Brooke in my life to help me be my best self; strong, balanced, and stay smart about how I move my body to prevent injury. Brooke is an amazing yoga teacher/physical therapist. I am taking private lessons from Brooke to help me with my lower back problems. She is helping me so much.

I had the pleasure of finding Brookes class by chance at a park and loved it! I’ve taken a lot of yoga classes but found her approach and technique unique and very effective. Her knowledge of the body and a focus on building a strong core and gluts to create an aligned posture was truly amazing.
