Momentum Strength and Endurance offers 1:1 and group personal training; run coaching for beginning, intermediate and advanced runners; and sports performance specialty training. Amy holds several certifications with which to serve her clients and athletes to the best of her ability, including her CPT; ACE functional training; ACE fitness nutrition; ACE sports performance; and Run Right Pro run coaching and gait analysis. Momentum Strength and Endurance has been in business since 2016 and was formerly known as Body by Amy.

I began working with Amy several months ago as I started training for the Chicago Marathon in 2025. I hadn’t run in years, but from the very beginning Amy made me feel confident and comfortable that I could do this.
What sets Amy apart is that she doesn’t just hand you a plan. She takes the time to assess your individual needs—your strengths, weaknesses, and goals—and builds a program that helps improve muscle strength, flexibility, and running strategy. Her approach is thoughtful, personalized, and effective.
Beyond her expertise, Amy is incredibly kind, generous, and fun to work with. She motivates you in a way that makes the process enjoyable, even on the tough days. Without her guidance, there’s no way I’d be on track to run this marathon, and more importantly, to keep running beyond it.
I feel so lucky to have Amy as my coach, and I encourage anyone considering training for a race—or simply wanting to become a stronger, healthier runner—to work with her. She’s the best partner you could have on this journey.

Amy is the best! I've seen so much progress in my running since I started working with her compared to when I was training with cookie-cutter plans and apps I purchased online. I'm faster, stronger, and seemingly less injury prone. She pushes me to do harder workouts than I would attempt if I were still solo training (which is paying off)! Highly recommend!

Amy is amazing! After a long workout hiatus I was on the search for a personal trainer and was lucky enough to find her - I'm sure glad that I did! Amy is super creative in her workout plans and very knowledgeable about fitness and the mechanics of our bodies. In addition, she is very attentive to form, discusses the goals of each exercise throughout our sessions and is a really genuine and kind person. She also believes in her clients and always helps you see how you are progressing and isn't afraid to challenge you... which in essence is her belief that "yes you can do this". If you are looking for an awesome, kick-butt workout with a true professional, I highly recommend Body by Amy!

Amy is awesome! I see Amy 2x a week for a group training session. She makes me work hard but also recognizes what I can and cannot do. She's really amazing at making sure I'm getting a great workout with the proper modifications since I have several injuries that prevent me from performing some basic exercises such as jumping rope. Every workout is different, so she keeps our brains AND our muscles from getting bored, and results are REAL. I'm quite heavy (last weight was 283 lbs) and I'm wearing pants that I haven't worn in years because they were previously too small, and I attribute that to Amy. Thanks Amy!!

I would highly recommend Amy for your personal training needs if your goal is to get results. Her rates are so reasonable for the high level caliber training she provides. I am an avid runner, ran D1 XC and D1 track in college and feel like Amy is elite when it comes to personalizing a plan. She now lives out of state and does convenient online training.
