Our 7 year old has been doing dance and gymnastics here for about 2 years now and there is a noticeable difference in her strength and coordination. The coaches are all very personable with the kids and I’ve been impressed watching all the staff interact with all the kids.

Our kids have been going to MK for two years and I can’t possibly say enough good things about our experience here. Our daughters, 7 and 9, have l grown so much in their gymnastics program. Our living room and backyard has turned into a gymnasium, thanks to the great staff there, all they do is practice their moves to be ready for the next class. The little coffee shop has incredible coffee and coolers, the perfect spot for a parent who needs a boost!
Love this place so much!

I was so excited to sign my son up for summer camp because of all the variety of activities. But this is my experience with all the kindness and respect to the people that put an effort in this project.
. Front desk support and help was amazing, kind friendly and extremely helpful.
. The coaches and facilitators are very impersonal, and not very interested in making the kids learn.
. They give you a calendar with the activities and most of the time , that changes. Yes , weather is one and thats acceptable, but the other times I asked if they had made certain projects and always the answer was: it just got very messy or there are too many kids for that project or we decided to go to another park.
. This is more like a “ day care “ type of place but didn’t feel like a good investment neither for us or for him.
. The instructors or college students that are in charge of them seemed to me
Very little interested in the kids learning and good experience, they mostly looked that they were there just to make sure nothing bad happened to the kids, and not being proactive about games and activities.
. And the fact that you can’t cancel and get your money back if you let them know in advanced that the kid is not attending I think it’s not ok at
All.
Wouldn’t do it again. I regreat it so much.

I came to swim lessons tonight with my little sister and I am appalled to say the least. The management has been great all summer with amazing swim staff up until this point. It is absolute madness out here and it appears to be gymnastics coaches in the water fully clothed. Learn how to run a proper business.

Terrible management. Employees screaming at each other. Making others cry in a work place and bad looks. Extremely unprofessional from every aspect. You’re adults grow up and keep it private, not to all the kids and parents.

I can only comment on the swim classes. For the money the classes are simply not worth it. While the instructors are very nice and patient, they don't give enough attention to helping kids get their form right and drill it home. Basically about 20 seconds is spent with each kid doing each exercise, so by the next time they try the same movement they've forgotten everything, so basically two 2 week courses in, all the kids still have absolutely no idea what they're doing. You're honestly better off spending a few days of your own time taking your kids to the lake and spend at least an hour at a time focusing on the basic movements long enough for them to really absorb it.

Let me start this off by saying my son is special needs and we DID make it known when we started the Ninja Class. I had left a review about a week ago explaining how my son loved coming to this place until he was humiliated by his “coach” in front of everyone. Parents, kids, staff, etc. and ran out the front doors crying because of what she said to him on a Saturday morning. I’m not sure what her name is because she never took the time to introduce herself to any of us parents (or maybe it was just me lol). My son was in 2 of her classes and in the first class, I could see her singling him out a little bit every time he did something she didn’t like, but when the other kids did the same things, she conveniently ignored it. Second time my son came to this class, he had a different coach and she was amazing. She didn’t feel the need to over correct every little thing Sam did. Or tell him to stop, she just let him figure it out on his own and coached him with positive reinforcement. He was so happy to be there. Now the 3rd time I brought him to his Ninja class, he had the coach that singles him out. The entire class, my son was trying so hard to do the things they were supposed to do and she just sneered at him and watched every little move he made while the other kids were free to play however they wanted. At the end of class, they have to line up on the white line and wait for their “stamps”, my son was sitting on the white line as he should have been, he did a backwards somersault and sat right back down on the white line. Coach walked up to him and said “since you can’t be a good boy we aren’t getting stamps today” in front of everyone. He was so embarrassed. She purposely made him feel small and it’s the negative reinforcement for me. She had zero intentions on making it a positive experience for him. She turned to me and was instantly defensive, told me she “can’t coach my kid if he’s not going to listen”…. I’m sorry listen to WHAT?! He’s in gymnastics and he did a backwards somersault. God forbid! We did get a full refund due to this coach being extremely unpleasant and will not be going back. I read some other reviews that were similar to mine. If you have special needs kids do not send them here because they clearly don’t take that seriously.

We had a 3 year old birthday here. It was a great experience! The kids had a ton of fun, and they provided more than expected for the party, such as a happy birthday banner and the table was covered in coloring paper with crayons set out. I would definitely recommend Mountain Kids for birthday parties.

We were so excited for our kid to take their Ninja Class. From the moment we entered the gym on the first day, it was nothing but underwhelming and disappointing. The class is not cheap, and I hate that I wasted my money. No teacher greeted us. I had to go out and ask someone where we were supposed to be and they just motioned vaguely to a spot on the mat. During warm ups my kid was struggling with every single stretch and not one instructor ever attempted to help her. During the "class" the teacher didn't show anyone how to do anything and I saw my kid walk right up to the teacher and say "I'm new here, can you show me how to do it?". It was like this the entire time we attended class. Virtually zero interaction from the teachers if they were even paying attention at all. We stopped going and found a different gym that's a great fit and is super involved, enthusiastic, and professional. Total bummer. 🙁

We absolutely LOVE Mountain Kids. Our son started by doing summer swim lessons and then we signed him up for pre-school. He is growing and learning so much there and his teachers are amazing. We couldn’t say enough about them. One of the best parts about this place is they are one of the only pre-schools that doesn’t also have a daycare which means they can completely focus on the learning. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get their kids a head start.

Miss Deanna’s pre-k class was fabulous! The class size is small and they have a perfect balance of learning and play. We were not seeing progress with learning as our son was getting ready for kindergarten, so we switched to the Mountain Kids Pre-K program, and his progress was noticeable after only one week! He learned to write all letters, their phonics, and so much more to be ready for kindergarten. Highly recommend!

Our daughter has loved attending Mountain Kids Preschool! The teachers and staff are all welcoming, kind, and helpful. Our little girl has made so many friends, improved her ability to follow directions from other adults, and learned so much academically. Her teacher, Ms. Deanna is wonderful and sets clear expectations and boundaries for her students. My kiddo attended 2 half days per week which was a great starting place for me as I wasn't ready for her to be gone all day. We have been very happy with our experience at Mountain Kids!

Our son attended Mountain Kids for his second year of Pre-K and it was such a wonderful experience. Miss Sarah was such a great influence and wonderful teacher. We highly recommend Mountain Kids!

Just finished year 2 of Mountain Kids preschool for our oldest daughter. The difference between when she started at 3 and now moving on to kindergarten at 5 is remarkable. Her social skills and confidence have grown a ton thanks to the support and guidance of Miss Sarah. The structured schedule, social interaction, and good balance of learning and play has been perfect for her. The kids do gymnastics once a week instead of recess which makes the program a great value. The preschool program is structured very similar to kindergarten, and we are very pleased with how well prepared our daughter is academically. We have had a great experience at Mountain Kids. Miss Sarah is a wonderful teacher, and Miss Dee and Miss Deana have been great as well. Highly recommend Mountain Kids preschool!

We love Mountain Kids Preschool! My first son went for 2 years, and now my second will start this fall. It was the perfect setup for our family, and the teachers genuinely love their kids. Lots of play-based learning, they do outside play every single day, even in the snow, AND get a gymnastics class once a week! Their program is very well priced, especially compared to a lot of other preschools when you aren’t using UPK. Can’t recommend Mountain Kids Preschool enough.

All three of our children went to Mountain Kids Preschool. In addition to our children, we have had nieces and nephews also experience the comprehensive program. I cannot say enough to praise the support that Mrs. Deanna, Mrs. Dee and the team have provided for our family! We are forever grateful for the balance of a nurturing, creative, empowering and structured introduction to a school environment. Having gymnastics as a part of the curriculum was a great outlet for the kids and helped incorporate their activities into their routine. They are so much more than educators, they are family.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Mountain Kids Preschool! Our oldest son did preschool and Pre-K with them and we were floored by his experience! The teachers are so kind, consistent and caring. The staff is always supportive and makes sure they know each kid so well. The class sizes are small, and whenever there is a sub it’s a teacher the kids are familiar with! Our second son is starting his second year with mtn kids and he is so excited! We are too! I tell everyone who will listen what a great preschool this is, and we are excited for our baby girl to attend one day! 10/10 and no complaints for the whole experience!

If you have an opportunity to enroll your child in their summer swim classes, you definitely should! Our son was enrolled in the Wave-riders 1&2 program with Miss Avery and it was one of his highlights of summer. He learned so much, and he always looked forward to the next time we would get to see her and learn more. Miss Avery is incredibly patient, kind, and encouraging to all of the kids in her class. We are so thankful to have had such a positive experience and an amazing teacher to learn from during our time at Mountain Kids.

When spending as much money as you do for your kiddos to be safe, the staff is worried about a cat that is illegally on the streets. A current employee of this place commented on a lost post of my cat who has been missing for a year with a picture saying this cat showed up last summer at this place and gave us permission to go scan this cat for a microchip. Considering we only live about 1/2 mile from this place, we were super excited that this could've been our cat. Obviously, with pure excitement, I put my microchip scanner on the charger, and my kids and I jumped in the car and headed that way. I called Larimer Humane Society to find out if there was anything specific we needed to do or not do. We had walked for about an hour searching high and low looking for what could have been our long-lost cat. Staff was outside with kids in the playground area, we talked to staff, let them know what we were doing, and showed several staff a picture of our cat to see if it could've been ours. I also reassured a couple of the workers after they had said the cat had showed up last summer and explaining thats when our cat went missing that I would scan the cat for a microchip and provide proof if needed to prove she was our cat. Several staff said the cats looked identical to ours, and it absolutely could be our cat and said, "Good luck." I was getting ready to leave to go grab my kiddos some water, a snack, and the microchip scanner when my 12 year old said "mom is that an animal?" Across the parking lot was what appeared to be a cat that looked like the one we were looking for. I told my daughter to drive to the house and grab the microchip scanner. I started walking towards the cat, got approximately 5 feet from the cat, and started bending down to see if the cat would come to me. Out of nowhere, the owner and/or manager comes aggressively running bumping into me grabs the cat, spooks the cat and tells me I'm not taking the cat that the cat belonged to the people across the street. As she storms inside like a child cussing at me and my children (ages 6-19), the kids that are in her care are lining up at the fence watching all the commotion. I had ZERO intentions on taking this cat unless the microchip matched my cats microchip. Who wants a cat that doesn't belong to them??? Not me!! A HUGE concern I have is allergies. Coming from a family who has several close family members who are deathly allergic to cats and without hesitation this lady takes a cat THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO HER into a building where there are children that could be deathly allergic to animals, shows a lot about her as a person and children in her care being priority is a huge concern. I can think of a ton of different ways this lady could've handled this situation, especially in front of children she is being PAID to watch. The children were exposed to several different things today that they have probably never encountered and should've never encountered. She also called Fort Collins Police after I did and completely over exaggerated what happened. Even the officer had laughed about her version of the story, seeing I had everything on video and all the proof I needed. There has to be a better and safer alternative than bringing your babies here where they aren't this companies top prriority. My kids are still shaken up because this lady scared them so bad. Fortunately FCP got there and was able to use my microchip scanner to verify this cat didn't belong to us. Which is all I wanted to do from the beginning. Tax payers dollars at waste, and your children potentially being exposed to scary situations I would think twice.

We've been customers of Mtn Kids for years. It's been an overall positive place for socialization for young children as well as gaining athletic experience. I will also say, gymnastics inherently is a dangerous sport - Period. Regardless of the facility. I think staff can get rather numb to this fact. My observation is that it's easy for coaches to become distracted and quite frankly, tuned out when it's their day to day "job".
We, as parents, sign off on all the liability.
My daughter, now 16, is still experiencing ankle problems 5 years out from a serious sprained ankle due to a floor mat that wasn't placed with much consideration of the landing zone. My advice is for parents to stay off their phones and actually watch what is going on. We're the ones dealing with the ramifications; not Mtn Kids. I also hope that Mtn Kids has ongoing staff trainings on how to prevent injuries - particulary of head and neck.

Scheduled classes for both of my kiddos here. My toddler was in gymnastics and my 8 year old was in swim lessons. The gymnastics was so bad that I never went back. The instructor never introduced herself even though we were obviously new to her class, she never worked with my son even though we were struggling. And then she LEFT US STUCK IN THE FOAM PIT. My son and I both left mid lesson in tears. Then we had swim lessons...the first two sessions got canceled because their pool heater broke. Then when she did have her lesson it was rushed and terrible. She left totally discouraged and disappointed. Then their pool heater broke again and they canceled all of our lessons. What a terrible experience. If I could give zero stars I would.

My daughter has gone to two gymnastics classes, and so far they’ve been great. I have a wild toddler who needs to get her energy out and the moonbeamers class is great for that. Not only are they teaching gymnastics skills but also educating them on letters, numbers and colors. My daughter stays home with me so it’s nice to have this class to get her used to a classroom environment. So far I definitely recommend!

Honestly, we loved this place for a long time and we were long time costumers. My son has a disability. I was hesitant to sign him up for summer camp. They knew him and knew about his behavior issues. I asked for a reasonable accommodation (one that didn’t cost them any money and didn’t charge their programming). They flat out said no. But they also told me not to worry. It would be fine. I gave the counselor a letter from my son’s OT with suggestions on how to help him. They didn’t do any of it. Needless to say, it didn’t go well. They told my son he had been kicked out before they finalized that with me. When I picked him up, he was crying and said he should be in jail. Really? They violated his ADA rights and made him feel terrible. Think twice about this place. And if your kid has any issues, don’t go here.
As an aside, bathrooms and changing rooms are gross.

I love my daughters teacher, Miss Amber!!! She is so wonderful with the kids in her class and my daughter just loves her and going to preschool!
Only reason for not a full 5-stars is due to to gymnastics portion. I feel like she is bored during gymnastics as it’s not as challenging as her gymnastics class outside of mountain kids. They have it structured to age specific rather than skill level. She is in a more advanced class elsewhere and she is more attentive and learns more.
Looking forward to next year and then also sending my son in a couple years.

Working in the medical field I hold a certain level of professionalism and standards. This place was by far not even close to being professional. I showed up approx 10 min early due to my conversation on the phone with the front desk. She was excited to get my son started and to have him in. She advised me that she’d give me a tour and answer any questions I had (due to me having patients and being rushed on the phone on my end) she said she’d talk to me more about the gymnastics program. I show up and instead of a welcome her first response was “well you’re early” . Didn’t even introduce herself. She then proceeded to give me a “tour” and by that I mean she walked me around the corner and merely said you set your things in those cubby’s, pointed at the “instructor” keep in mind there’s a million kids running around and instructors, and then that was it. Confused on who was the instructor, where I had to be , I let my toddler roam around the edge of the gym area. Being a curious toddler of course he sprints out of reach and as I’m returning to the edge with him the “instructor” very rudely stated” yeah no you have to stay over there until the class starts” . I asked what time the class was and she stated 10:15, when I asked the time she simply kept walking. 10:15 come and I was told to stand by the cubbies and she’d come get me... few minutes pass . I saw her starting but I still didn’t know if that was indeed his “instructor” I go to the front desk to ask again, and she’s like oh that’s weird she normally will grab you from there. Okay. My issue with this whole place was how unprofessional everyone was. If someone brings their 1st kid for their FIRST TIME, please don’t assume they know what their doing. If you want my money please act like you care. I feel like if I would of came in my scrubs they would have treated me a lot differently. Thanks for wasting my time , def do not recommend . Left within 30 min of my arrival as well due to no one formally introducing themselves, not a clean environment, and the whole place just felt super uncomfortable. Word of advice: toddlers are naturally curious, it’s in their psychology. Please don’t make a parent try to “tame” a 2 year old in a little corner when there are a million things they’ve never seen before everywhere. Have a waiting area.

We do the young kids class and free gym. My little one loves it. They have beams, a foam pit, lots of mats and obstacle courses and Tons of other stuff. It’s great to introduce kiddos to following instruction and being in a class situation. The instructors set up an obstacle course and then rotated them to other activities. The facility also has some snacks, a little coffee shop and some gymnastics outfits for sale. I feel like the price for the little kids is too expensive. It’s about twenty bucks for a 45 minute class. But, it has a lot of benifits. Especially since my little goes to a small daycare and is an only child.
