My son has been involved with Mt Speed, Strength and Fitness for over a year now. He really enjoys the after school sessions with the small groups and the coaches (Coach Chad). Good training tips, fun atmosphere and helps build muscle and strength and agility. Plus we appreciate the extra nutrition info. The program is flexible, reasonably priced and in a convenient location.

This gym is such a close knit family with an owner who really cares about the members (reaching out with personal check ins and considerate/empathetic of the community overall). The middle school workout group is particularly fun and engaging and such a great and safe way for that age group to learn to enjoy exercise and strength training.

Mountain Speed and Strength is the best! Our 13 and 14 year-old daughters have been going to the middle school MS2 programs over the last year and absolutely love it. Coach Ian and the other coaches do a great job of making working out seem like fun. The girls look forward to each session and we’ve seen the results of their hard work in the way they perform on the volleyball court. We highly recommend checking it out!

I was feeling sluggish and unhealthy and when I turned 50 I I realized I needed some help getting fit. Mountain strength fitness is exactly what I needed to get back on track. It’s awesome to have the attention of an incredible personal trainer like Ian and his staff with a small group so you can still be social and feel the community vibe. Plus you get individual attention for a better price with the small group format. Ian and his staff are always incredibly upbeat so even on the days I don’t feel like going to the gym it ends up being rewarding. Recently, I signed up for a nutrition challenge (free for members) and that’s been helping me eat better And feel better in general. Obviously, I highly recommend Mountain strength fitness. hope to see you there.!

I am a 64 year old woman and did not want to workout with a bunch of fireman. To please my husband I said I would meet Ian- who I gave a hard time to!

This team is the best! Ian, Chad, Julia… all the trainers are attentive, professional, and make workouts “fun”. This is not a conventional gym. Customized workouts for each individual working on their own thing. Never more than six people training at a time. “Personal training” in a motivating group environment. HIGHLY recommended!!

Mountain Speed & Strength is fantastic! My MS and HS kids love their classes. The instructors are so encouraging and give great feedback on performance, posture and weight load. I love that they come home with a new achievement each week! I couldn’t recommend a better group than MS2.

Love this gym, it’s a great concept and experience to me for the following reasons:
Close to home
Friendly, experienced staff who know what they are doing - I had very little strength when I first came in and am now one of the strongest in the gym
Cost - reduced price personal training, costs enough to incentivize you to go and get your money’s worth but is not expensive like full price personal training
Flexibility - sessions are widely available
They can help you with whatever your fitness goals are, occupational, professional, collegiate, etc., as well as any contributing factors like diet, PT, sleep, etc.

Ian and the whole crew at Mountain Speed, Strength & Fitness are the absolute best! I spent the summer working out here while visiting Evergreen from out of town, and they made me feel welcome, supported, and strong. I loved the camaraderie of working through my own training program in the company of a small group of other folks. I'm a fairly seasoned lifter, and the programs they put together for me were spot on and always challenging, the trainers were so knowledgeable & friendly, and they were always there to offer feedback on form, to swap out exercises, or change the approach in order to work around injuries or body quirks. I loved my time working out at MSS&S and would still be working out with them today if I hadn't had to return back home to the east coast. If you're looking to start up an intentional, progressive strength training program in the Evergreen area, don't go anywhere else—these folks are the best!!!

I have been going to mountain speed and fitness for about 10 weeks. It’s completely changed my outlook on working out and plan to continue this for the rest of my life. I’m in semi-private classes w small groups of 3-6 people. It’s a range of people from beginners just getting started to some well seasoned folks lifting big weight. Also a range of ages. Ian and his team are amazing! They take the time to make sure you’re doing things correctly, safely, and make a personal game-plan to help you accomplish the goals you desire. I’d highly recommend them to anyone in the foothills looking for a legit personal trainer.

This is the place to get yourself back into shape with a fantastic instructor, Ian, and the camaraderie of doing it with other people. I am so glad to have discovered Mountain Speed and Strength after my rotator cuff surgery. Ian worked with me to adapt my strength training program, keeping in mind, my limited use of my right arm. The instructors are encouraging, helpful, and most of all make working out fun.

I have been working out with Ian twice a week since Dec 2022. My main goal is to get fit enough so I could race the Colorado Motocross series. Ian created a workout program based on my needs and the results definitely show. I am stronger and have more endurance. But most importantly I have energy to keep up with my crazy little girls. Ian is a motivating and fun coach, and he will provide you with a scientific explanation of why the muscle groups in your legs and butt hurt so much following a workout and you need lift assist to sit on the toilet. We love you coach!

Coach Ian has been fantantastic and exactly what I was hoping for when I showed up for my initial consultation. I was struggling with the boredom and limitations of working out daily at a reguar gym and needed to find a method to improve my fitness level, get faster at playing hockey, and work with someone who understands my goals.
Ian has been patient, positive, helpful, and great at getting you motivated.

Mountain Speed and Strength is fun, approachable, and effective, whether you’re a fitness nut or never lifted a weight in your life. We found this place because our pre-teen athlete needed to strengthen some muscles surrounding joint issues. A few months later, she’s gotten a LOT more out of it than that, and now the whole family works out at MS2! Highly recommend!
