After a tragic accident late last year, I went through multiple surgeries and countless physical therapy sessions. I’m so grateful that some of Sophia’s former & current students and friends of mine, strongly encouraged me to visit her studio—it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my recovery.
Sophia’s expertise, knowledge, passion, and warm bedside manner are truly special. She had a way of making me feel seen, comfortable, and, most importantly, hopeful and strong every time I walked through her doors. Her follow-up post visit emails were incredibly thoughtful, filled with detailed notes and personalized exercises / methods that gave me tools to keep making progress throughout the week.
I can’t recommend Sophia enough—she’s been a huge part of my healing journey!

I first started Pilates with Sophia to get my painful sciatica under control. I felt relief within the first few sessions, and have since been able to establish the core strength needed to properly support my spine and diminish painful pinched nerves.
Sophia’s training has made me stronger and more flexible, making difficult physical tasks easier. Sometimes she focuses on critical smaller muscles that get bypassed in regular gym training such as rotator cuff, fingers and toes, or deep muscles that can’t really be singled out by regular gym equipment such as the psoas or individual abdominal muscles.
Her “Face Pilates” sessions have toned the muscles of my face to keep it looking youthful. I’ve felt my balance improve and my footing become more stable, even on rocky, difficult hikes. Now in my 50s, I'm in better shape than I was in my 30s - and my wife thinks I look fantastic!
Sophia’s Pilates sessions are like a physical meditation. No matter how stressed or frantic I feel at the beginning of session, I always end the session with a calm, crystal clear focus. Sophia also advises on healthy sleep habits, lymph stimulation, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle and mindset.

I’ve been taking Pilates with Sophia for more than seven years, and I can’t recommend her enough! She has been such a huge help with my wrist and lower back issues, tailoring each session to focus on my specific needs. Her depth of knowledge goes far beyond Pilates, including anatomy, breathing techniques, meditation, and overall healthy lifestyle practices that make the sessions feel really holistic. I always leave feeling stronger, more balanced, and more mindful. Working with Sophia has improved my fitness level to be the best it’s ever been, and I’m continuously improving.

I have never felt better both physically and mentally. Not only is she a master of body movement and mechanics, she is also a wealth of knowledge on overall health, mindset and wellness. I could write a book on the amazing Sophia and how she has helped me with a complex back issue over the last 4+ years. Individualized teaching… that is how I describe Sophia’s style. She is so knowledgeable about the body and knows how to uniquely apply that knowledge to each situation. Additionally, she teaches with kindness while challenging and encouraging you to keep pushing yourself and “keep moving”! She might also entice you with one of her many book choices on a concept she’s digging into and pair it with a red or amber light bulb💡in your own home!
