While I may have about died from the elevation- the OrangeTheory in Boulder did not disappoint. Loved the ease of the rectangular shaped studio, the polite and welcoming coach, and the little conveniences that make life easy (bins for snow shoes, spray deodorant in the bathroom, filter water station, etc.). It is very obvious upon walking in that this studio supports and encourages a great friendly environment for working out!

My wife has a torn labrum in her hip, and she gave them a doctorβs note on May 23, 2024. They agreed to suspend her account, but they continued to bill us. We contacted them to resolve the issue, and they offered only to issue a cancellation in exchange for paying for another month of service, even though she is unable to use her membership. They said they would call her back after speaking with the manager, and they never did. We tried contacting them again and did not receive a response. We have since charged back on our credit card for multiple months of charges and have been refunded each time. Despite this, Orange Theory continues to charge our card each month, and we continue to issue chargebacks to our credit card. Very disappointing experience and bad business on Orange Theoryβs part.

Same experience cancelling as the review details below. I have been being charged for a membership that I was told was cancelled April 2023, and they donβt answer their phone.
Edited after their response: I have a text from April 2023 saying they cancelled my membership, they never actually did and I kept getting charged, then I had to reach out about this again and I have an email from January 2024 saying βHello Isabelle, I am reaching out to confirm I have cancelled your Orangetheory Fitness membership. We are going to miss having you in our studio and as part of our OTF family!β They have not returned any of my calls for weeks. If they tell you that they cancelled your membership, do not trust them.

I have been going to OT Boulder for around 2 years and I couldn't be happier. For the first time in my life I enjoy going to the gym, the workouts are always challenging and being able to monitor your heart rate really makes a difference in how to adjust your performance during the workout.
All coaches are great and coach Courtney is the absolute best.
I highly recommend Orange Theory to everyone.

I am utterly appalled by my experience at Orange Theory, specifically with Sabrina. I have never encountered such blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and ethical business practices.
After deciding to cancel my subscription, I followed all the necessary steps and received confirmation that my membership would be terminated. Despite this, I continued to be charged for services I no longer wished to use. When I brought this to Sabrinaβs attention, her response was dismissive and unhelpful. Rather than resolving the issue promptly, she informed me that I would be required to pay for an additional month due to some obscure policy that was never clearly communicated to me and I was told would be void.
This experience has been nothing short of frustrating and infuriating. Not only am I being forced to pay for services I do not want, but the lack of transparency and customer care is appalling. I would strongly advise anyone considering a membership at Orange Theory to think twice and thoroughly review their cancellation policies before signing up. This experience has left a bitter taste, and I will certainly be sharing my negative experience with others to warn them about this unacceptable treatment.

I went last year with my friend and have been going at least twice a week ever since. The classes are fun, always different, and the instructors are top notch. If you want to lift heavy, they have a good variety of weights to accomplish that goal. I go more for cardio endurance and mine has improved a ton since I first started. Parking is easy, A++.

Great coaches but the gym is outdated. Other Orange Theory locations have the treadmills with a new screen and updated rower screens too. For being in such a wealthy area, I would expect the gym to be new and updated. This one feels dark and dusty.

Great staff and amazing workouts. You can push yourself in your workout guided by your heartrate zone in an organized exercise routine. My wife pushed me into trying it with her, and I have no regrets. Being in a group helps you push harder than most would do on their own. Both of us get enjoyment in comparing our results after our classes and its a great bonding experience after we crush our workout for the day. It's rare we get to go to the class together, so having the same routine makes it feel a bit more like we were able to attend the same class.

I have rejoined OTF and I've been coming here for more than a year now and I am still motivated to keep taking as many classes as I can fit into my week. I am constantly challenging myself to do more in each class. The workouts are good addiction. Another huge benefit is that the workouts are different every day. I love that the coaches are highly knowledgeable and work with you to set goals to keep getting better. The staff always goes out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. The app is great for signing up for classes and tracking your progress. If you want to get a HIIT total body workout and get active, I would highly recommend giving OTF a try!

I have not been happy with my body and level of fitness since having my 2nd child (she's 5 now, so no more excuses!) My only form of exercise has been running - I hate gyms and I don't know what to do with a set of hand weights. A close friend invited me to try OTF and despite my skepticism I tried it and was immediately hooked-it's so high-energy, has great variety, just enough attention by the instructor who helps without shining a spotlight and they play awesome music through it all! I am so proud of myself for joining and actually look forward to going 1x/week. I even received a hand-written note from the studio congratulating me on joining and encouraging me to reach my goals of improving my 5K results this summer. I can't wait to start noticing results, I know it's just a matter of time...

I HATE running; loud, dark studios; and workouts that are so hard on your body it prevents you from completing sets, but OTF was nothing like that, and it was such a pleasant surprise! The orange lights were actually soothing, encouraged greater focus, and weren't too dim; the music was kept at a comfortable level; and the workout was both enjoyable and effective! I felt no pain in my low back or joints the entire time, and I had an absolute blast! Now, I understand why everyone has been telling me to take a class. I can't wait to go back! I might even like running now! What?!?

Argh. I previously wrote a five-star review for this studio, but they recently lost my two favorite trainers, Sally and Jess. While Ree and Julian still have me performing at my highest level, the replacement coaches for Sally and Jess have me canceling classes. During a recent workout, one of the coaches encouraged us to go to the next level so that our "butts look better in our fall jeans," which is distracting and definitively not the reason I work out. I presume for many of us in Boulder, we are there to achieve performance goals and not for cosmetic purposes.
I'm pretty bummed to lose two of the coaches who inspired me to be better every single time. What a loss for this studio.

I don't normally take the time to write a review but I have been so happy with my experience here, I wanted to share with others. I had a few years after an injury and illness where I was not able to exercise much. Getting back into exercise had been very difficult as I had lost faith in my body's abilities. I went to a personal trainer for a year but saw minimal results plus was very costly. It took me a few months to be able to build up to going more than 2 days a week. Now am able to go 3 to 5 days and am seeing amazing results. Not just weight loss and loss of inches but feel much stronger and my balance is so much more stable. I'm new to Colorado, tend to be an introvert and in the past have liked to remain anonymous when I go to workout places. It has been so nice however, having the staff welcome me when I come in and it means so much to me that the staff and instructors recognize me and know my name. They are very encouraging and I never feel self conscious as I work at the pace that works for me. I highly recommend them to anyone!

I've really been enjoying the workouts at OTF. It's a good mix of strength and cardio and it's fast paced enough to see results fast although you can go at your own pace so how hard and heavy you go is up to you. I have been an avid Cross Fitter for the past few years but recently injured myself doing CrossFit. The Doctor told me to lay off CrossFit for a few months, but I was left looking for an equally challenging workout but with less Olympic lifting so that I could heal from my injury. I tried Orange Theory for the first time a few days ago and was immediately HOOKED! I love that Orange Theory had the elements I loved from CrossFit, including pushing myself beyond my perceived limits, a modification if the element was beyond my fitness level & that the workout changing daily. I love that we cycle between the Rower, Treadmill & Weight Room and just when I feel like I canβt run or row any longer or that the TRX is going to be the death of me, the Coach calls βtimeβ and we move to the next circuit. An hour flies by and Iβve burned 400+ calories in one workout. I also love seeing my results in real time on the big screen and know when I need to push harder or back off based on the color of my box. The βSplat Pointsβ is a great bench mark and I try to meet or exceed the recommended points each day. I am grateful that my injury led me to Orange Theory!

I understand why a workout like OTFβs can be intimidating, especially in Boulder. However, anyone who has a modicum of interest in becoming their best selves and/or meeting a cool little community is missing out.
Instructors and staff are incredibly encouraging and supportive, with different options for modifications (i.e., stationary bike, walking/jogging pace, etc) as you grow into the workout - I have carpal tunnel and the discomfort has never been an issue. Iβm a pretty fit millennial whippersnapper and am always humbled and inspired by others, of all shapes and sizes, sweating and improving in class.

I'm writing this review as I am departing from becoming an Orange Theory Boulder member! I've never written a google review, but this studio has totally exceeded my expectations in terms of customer service. I've enjoyed every aspect of my time there- from the wonderful and kind front desk staff, to the motivating coaches, to my own performance results! I also have a knee injury that the studio was so accommodating about! I'm leaving because my fiancΓ© and I would really like to work out together- he needs a pool to train for his triathlons and it's a bit expensive for us both to be there together without all the things we both need. I'm very sad to be leaving, and I know I'll miss the people and overall environment greatly (but I'm sure I'll be in for drop in classes). As I travel often for work, I've been to many different OT studios around the country. This one far surpasses any one I've been to on every level! If you are on the fence about checking this studio out, DO IT NOW! You will not regret it :)

Fun fact: if you havenβt been to this class before, βmaster trainerβ Bodhi will slam the door in your face and not allow you in class. It says this nowhere on Mindbody. Who the hell shows up 20 min early for a 6:45 am class? Iβm a personal trainer and fitness studio owner, and I love taking other classes while on vacation. Iβve never experienced such rude, arrogant behavior from another trainer/instructor. Donβt waste your time here.

I loved everything about it. The instructor Tiffany had a great energy and was very welcoming/informative. The participants in the class were friendly and were engaging (I.e small talk, high fives, positive comments on my performance) the music was great, I liked that the lighting wasnβt super bright/awkward as most gyms or clubs are β I even mentioned to Tiffany that typically on treadmills for a long time I get winded and nauseous quickly - but the incline and change consistent change of pace made being on one feel effortless. I'm actively allergic to hyped-up chain group fitness places (probably due to my own ridiculous idealism and experience with crossfit and the like). Orange Theory totally doesn't trigger that aversion, and is one of the best workouts I've had, in an incredibly welcoming environment. I'm super happy to have found this this place, and already feel a LOT more in shape after just a few weeks! The trainers here are very helpful and inspiring. I love Orangetheory!

The whole vibe is positive, fun and motivational. The workout is intense (more than I'd ever do on my own!) and very effective. The staff is so friendly and welcoming β after only a few weeks, they knew me by name. And it really is a variety of fitness levels. I thought it was going to be all Boulder triathletes, but there are regular people like me. :-)

It's customizable to my level of fitness. It's rigorous but doesn't make me feel like I'm going to die or injure myself. When the coaches urge you to push a little harder, I feel like I can and want to. The coaches and whole atmosphere of the studio is motivating. I also like that the workout is different every time I go in. And the Boulder studio is clean and has really friendly staff.

This place has a great vibe and the instructors are awesome. I've checked out most of the gyms in Boulder and this is my favorite. The encouraging and fun instructors, the structured (but still dynamic) workouts and the additional events and services they offer make for a great community feel that supports you in your fitness goals - whatever they may be. I've been going to OTF to train for my first century ride.

What an incredible, and enjoyable workout! Last January 1, I weighed myself on the scale and was a portly 189lbs. The most I have ever weighed. All I did was show up for OTF class a few times a week, and in just 12 weeks I weighed 169 (20 lb loss). I've been able to maintain this new weight for over a year now and I credit OTF for looking and feeling much better!
What's best is I feel light, nimble, and strong in all my fitness-related activities like motorcycling and skiing and I owe it to OTF and your amazing instructors who make the workouts fun, challenging and above all β incredibly effective. They and everyone at the location are all great people who have a positive outlook on life and are just fun to be around.
I highly recommend OTF for anyone who wants a workout that's no only effective and fun, but also is easy to stick with!

This is such a fantastic gym ran by fantastic owners and fantastic staff! I go as part of my morning routine and I have never felt healthier, ever, in my life. I strongly recommend this gym to absolutely every person. If you think the membership is expensive, think of it this way... how much would you pay to be in the best health and shape of your life? Knowing what I know now, I would easily pay double and not bat an eye. Invest in yourself and get a membership. The community of people there is awesome. It is all around a win to belong to this location.

I feel so grateful for the support, knowledge, and challenge of this studio! The owners, Kari and Chad, as well as all the staff, have been incredibly encouraging as I have worked out there since January to get ready for a trip to FL Keys last month. I exceeded my own expectations! I plan to continue to work out there to meet my personal goals, stay in shape, and be in an environment that is fun and like family.
