I stopped by this Orangetheory while passing through and had a great experience. The vibe was relaxed, the front desk gal was super cool, and the place was clean and not too packed, which was a nice surprise.

Amanda was the coach and she absolutely crushed it. She was super engaging and did an awesome job keeping things moving across the rowers, treads, and weight floor all at once. Her coaching style was upbeat and energizing without being too much, and she gave clear cues that kept everyone on track.

I definitely felt the elevation the moment I started running, the air is thinner here, and I had to pace myself but Amanda’s energy and the solid playlist kept me locked in.

Speaking of the playlist, it was DOPE. I tried finding it on Spotify but had no luck. (Amanda, if you see this and can send me the playlist, I would seriously be the happiest man on earth. Haha.)

I've been an OTF member for 12+ yrs now and OTF Highlands has been my favorite studio of the 6-8 I've experienced around Denver! Front desk staff is always helpful and I have 4 favorite instructors there - Christina (for her amazing energy, high vibes, awesome playlists), Caroline (for her attention to lifting form and good energy), Rachel (for her detailed explanations) and Amanda (for her enthusiasm). I've been sweating it out and getting my heart rate up at Orange Theory in the Highlands for a couple years now and my time there is consistently a highlight of my day. Front desk staff and coaches are supportive and friendly - and somehow remember all our names. Rachel is a gifted coach whose call outs are second to none, I always feel like I know how to prepare and pick good speed and weigh strategies in her classes. Coach Caroline is terrific as well genuine soul who loves encouraging us all and always brings the energy. But no matter who is coaching classes are great and music is good. OTF Highlands is the best! A year ago I was not exercising at all and my wife talked me into joining Orange Theory just to try it out. A year later I can honestly say that I look forward to and enjoy working out here. My favorite class is Rachel's Sunday morning Tread 50, but also enjoy excellent workouts with Christina, Mary, and Caroline. The workouts are always challenging, energizing, and well designed. Great experience at Orange Theory Highlands! I should have joined years ago. I didn’t think I’d like circuit style workouts, but you can go at your own pace and supplement with dedicated strength-only or treadmill-only classes. I am only a couple months in, but I feel so much better. The coaches (Caroline, Rachel, Amanda, and Matt) bring lots of positive energy to offset what I usually don’t have early mornings.

This is by far my favorite OTF studio that I have been to! I've been a member since 2018 and the staff and coaches are EXCEPTIONAL! All of the ladies at the front desk are so welcoming, and it's great to see their smiling faces in the morning! It really puts me in a great mood going to this studio!! One of my favorite coaches is Rachel! She's always so positive, wonderful personality, pushes me farther than I think I can go! Have been a member at Orange Theory in the Highlands for almost a year now! It has truly changed my perspective with my fitness! I used to go to crossfit gyms and have been off and on with 24 hr fitness studios for a good part of my life until now. I was never consisteand quite honestly spent a lot of money for gyms I didn’t consistently go to. Now I can say that I have a healthier relationship with working out. Orange theory is so approachable and independent compared to the other gym options. I now go 8 times a month versus every once in a while. The coaches are all awesome. My personal favorites are Matt, Christina, Amanda and Caroline. They are very upbeat and not intimidating at all. Matt is an awesome teacher, Christina is full of sunshine, Caroline has the best early morning classes with a banging playlist and Amanda holds a place in my heart because I was at her first coaching class. I will continue to enjoy coming to this location! Excited to spend another year here!

My husband and I love the Orange Theory Highlands location and the community here. I love the HIIT model integrated with strength training and cardio and my favorite part is that OT plans the whole workout so I just need to show up and the music is in rhythm with the workout and always very motivating! I especially love Victoria who is the Office Manager and greets everyone from their first day by their name (not sure how she remembers all the names) and Rachel and Caroline as instructors as they always give good pointers on form, are supportive, and are just great people so i consider them to be friends as well :) The classes really make it fun to workout and if you miss a class time due to a meeting, appointment, other obligation, you can always find a class later in the day so i never feel stressed about missing a specific class unlike places which only have one or two classes offered per day. There are also various themed workouts throughout the year which are usually fun yet more demanding-I like those challenges especially once class is over-as they provide a good way to measure your individual performance improvement. I wrote a mediocre review about this location after a few workouts, and I was surprised to see that management took action right away! I mentioned some equipment could use some TLC and by my next visit, all the issues were addressed! Kudos to the staff here. They really listen and care about their customers!

I am writing this review today because for the second time now I had to leave mid-class due to the oppressive heat. For some reason in this studio it is a constant issue.

I am not sure if employees are not empowered to manage the environment or if they are unaware that when an HVAC system is set on a 67* heat setting, the room can easily exceed 80* without intervention. It is a 60* day today, so when 30+ members are in a tight space with closed doors completing high intensity (by design) workouts, it reaches very uncomfortable, if not unsafe, temperatures.

As a member, I am counting on OTF to take responsibility for making sure it is safe. We all signed our lives away on these waivers which means I’m a little perturbed that I had to leave for my own safety… again. Many around me were complaining but still nothing was done. We told the woman at the front desk who kind of mumbled that she didn’t have control over the thermostat or something, so we left.

Should we relocate to the sloans location until the summer? We are busy professionals trying desperately to improve our fitness (we are part of the transformation challenge which means we make significant sacrifices to come 3x/week to OTF). How should we feel when the environment is mismanaged to prevent high intensity efforts or even completion of a workout when we barely have time to come for 3 classes per week as it is?

We really do love this location- the pleasant and helpful nature of the staff easily outweighs outdated equipment. However, this ongoing temperature issue may force us to workout elsewhere, so I felt compelled to share this information with potential members so that they can consider avoiding this studio- particularly asthmatics like me, as hot humid air makes high intensity workouts much more difficult, if not impossible, to complete.

I've been going to this specific studio for about 6 months now and I love it. All of the staff are amazing. The coaches here are great and they help you if you don't have the correct form on an exercise, or if there is one you just can't manage they give you alternatives. I haven't participated in any of the events outside of the classes, but they have a ton and they all seem super excited and passionate about the events, as do the other members. When people ask me what I do workout wise, I sing this studios praises and I recommend just trying out one of the free classes. This gym really is something special. If you're on the fence, just do it. Go try it out!

I have been going to this studio on and off since 2015! (I went to others based on my job, travel, etc. This has always been by home studio and they truly make it feel that way! I don't feel like I've ever done the same workout twice and the coaches all have great style to motivate you to do your absolute best. I would highly recommend OTC Highlands or any OTC for that matter - love everything they have to offer! (Full disclosure - I wasn't a class person before 2015 ;)

Really enjoyed my workout at Orangetheory. I was very warmly welcomed to the studio and everything was very thoroughly explained to me. I got in a great workout and really enjoyed being able to see my effort level, calories, heart rate, etc. in real time. My coach was Rachel and she checked in with me during the workout to make sure I felt comfortable and supported, she was amazing!

OTF is the best! I've been coming to the Highlands location for a few years now, and it has been great for me. After trying many different fitness routines, this is the one that worked for me and that has stuck. I feel like I'm getting a well-rounded workout, solid calorie burn, and have enjoyed getting to know everyone! It's a really welcoming and encouraging atmosphere, while also providing you the opportunity to challenge yourself.

The workouts consist of treadmill, row, and floor work. The heart rate monitors help you to ensure you're being effective with your workout, and the coaches show you how to modify exercises if you have an orthopedic issue (there are also a few bikes for those who can't use a treadmill). I started coming to OTF not long after an injury, and OTF was part of my plan not to ever let myself get that out of shape again. With both nutrition and exercise, I feel fit and strong.

With COVID, now more than ever, each one of us in class are pulling for one another to fight to stay healthy, both mentally and physically. I encourage you to take advantage of the free class and give OTF a try!

I called ahead to notify the staff that I was running behind and the representative advised me that would be fine. When I arrive another employee stops me as I walked into the studio to inform me that they would not allow me to join the class because I was now 6 minutes late and the policy is 5 or less. I would have been completely understanding if I was told no initially, but I drove 15 minutes to be sent away. Apparently they take this rule very seriously since I've seen multiple people walk in 10 minutes or later in the past at this very location.

I took this poor experience as an omen that it's time to move on from OTF. I'll be terminating my membership today, and will spend my $150 per month with another business that can keep their stories aligned. Thanks Justin.

Great studio, the most modern treadmills I've seen so far out of the locations downtown. Rebecca was a lovely and motivating instructor who gave me some awesome pointers about the rower to help avoid hip flexor injuries that I've never been given in all the months I've been attending classes at other studios. Employees came in at random times to warn people to move their cars before getting ticketed which was kind - keep an eye out for signs when you park!
I look forward to returning.

This studio has a great community feel and awesome coaches. I left OTF for several months and am SO happy to be back! Best working from coaches and staff with great attitudes.

The only con about this location is that the acoustics are terrible. It's really hard to hear the trainers when you're on the far half of the treadmills.

I went for the free class, got there 30 minutes early because I was told I would need to time so they could explain the class and how it works. I sat there for 25 minutes and 5 minutes before class the instructor pulled me in and gave me a 3 minute explanation, which was very confusing. When I said I really don't understand she replied "You'll figure it out". The class started and was very confusing, with people moving everywhere frequently, and looking at numbers, and I never got it. After 30 minutes of pure confusion, while the trainer was just standing there doing nothing, I quickly asked "Why am I wearing a heart rate monitor and why is everyone looking at the screen" to which she seemed very annoyed I asked her anything and replied "Don't worry about that" and just walked away. It was certainly not the way to treat a potential new customer. Maybe another Orange Theory location would be better, and have nicer, more helpful staff, but I would avoid this place.

My wife and I joined this gym a few months ago and have really enjoyed it (very gay friendly so far!). I prefer a class workout, because the group atmosphere tends to challenge me more, so I push myself harder. I would suggest getting the heart monitor too. It lets you see what fitness zones you're in and turns the workout into a game (that's how I think of it anyway!). I think it's also a good program for most skill/fitness levels as you can choose the weight you need in the weight room and the speed you need on the treadmill. I have a bad knee, so I use the elliptical and the bike and still push that orange level. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because some instructor's classes are unnecessarily loud and some instructors are very hard to hear and understand. I enjoy Katy and Buddy's classes the best, because they're fun & positive, they keep the music at a good level, they're approachable during the workout. and its very easy to understand what they're saying during class. It's also a bit pricey, so that's another reason for the 4 star rating. But I still think it's an exceptional place to reach my fitness goals and plan on being a member for a long time!

I suppose it's like anything else, but I find the Boulder location staff to be kind and friendly. I just got off the phone with a staff member from the Highlands location and she was incredibly rude. When paying so much money for a membership, I want consistently nice staff, so it's disappointing. I've had great experience with some of the instructors and management staff and Highlands - but it's unfortunately its not consistent. I think reasons like this cause people to seek gyms that have more of a community feel, rather than a culture found in a big box gym. I know that is the reason I am going to cancel my membership and seek to spend my $100 in a more friendly location.

DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM. I have joined Orange Theory two months ago. I belong to the Lowery studio but given that they said I can go anywhere, I thought I try another studio. My best friend just moved to Arvada and encouraged him to check out Orange Thoery. Given that we live on opposite sides of town, I suggested we meet at the Highlands Denver one and to call to try out his first class. When my friend called he talked to Mika. She said unless he can prove he is a CO resident, it is a 28 cost to try the first class. I said that this was a mistake and then called myself. YEP, Mika was super unprofessional, rude and unwilling to let my buddy try a class. He just moved here. I think there was a good change he would have signed up. Although I have enjoyed the workouts, I am so upset by this I am canceling my membership. I have already started googling other gyms that are more community orientated. Given how many people are moving to Denver every month, this is a huge business mistake.
