TJ is a wealth of knowledge with the human body and I would also call a “movement whisperer”.
I have been a competitive athlete for many years. I have scoliosis and 35 years ago was hit by a car while running, which resulted in my scoliosis worsening. Needless to say, I have a lot of imbalances that cause issues in my daily life and especially in running. TJ really takes the time to figure out what along the chain of the body is not doing its job so we can get to the root of the issue. I’ve been very impressed with his knowledge and tenacity for helping people!

I was unable to do anything from sitting to sleeping without being in unbearable shoulder and back pain. TJ identified and explained the issue, provided therapeutical massage, and pain-relieving exercises. I have been experiencing thumb pain and movement issues for years after an injury leading to trigger finger. My thumb was bent, and would admit nerve sensations. Pierce Family Wellness has been the only thing that has worked for my pain! After a handful of sessions and gaining at home exercise, my thumb is straight for the first time in 7 years! The pain has subsided, and it’s only been a few weeks. I’m excited to continue to working with TJ, and can’t wait to see not only how my thumb continues to improve, but my body as a whole!

I am so grateful that a friend recommended TJ’s massage therapy! I had been to both a chiropractor and a doctor. They were helpful but could only help me so far and my back pain continued to keep me from sleeping well and returning to normal living. In my first visit with TJ, he was able to pinpoint the exact cause and then administer a treatment. He also gave me some exercises to do. I started seeing TJ about two months ago and in this period I have noticed significant improvement with pain in my neck, shoulders and hands caused by C4-5 and C5-6 issues. The ELODA exercises/stretches made a huge difference with my neck, hands and fingers pain. He is very knowledgeable and changes exercises/stretches to address the issue. I had a stress fracture in my foot that left me with ongoing heel pain. The orthopedic Dr was not helpful, nor was traditional PT. I even tried stretch therapy and nothing helped until I found TJ. I have just completed my 12 week program with TJ. I am an active, fit 56 year old, but the aches of an aging body needed help beyond “basic” stretching. Four years ago, my chiropractor recommended I see TJ to maintain adjustments longer. I was a half marathon runner and had been experiencing chronic achilles pain and pelvic pain for years. I had seen other physical therapists before but nothing was really getting to the root of the pain. I am so grateful for my experience with Tj! I was in daily pain and at about 75% strength after being in a car accident, and physical therapists and surgeons had given me a bleak outlook and invasive surgery as my only option. Using ELDOA stretches and manual therapy, Tj helped me to be pain free, able to run and ski again, and overall stronger than I have ever been. Had terrible pain in my hip, plus loss of strength in climbing stairs. Was leaving on a trip in 4 months that involved lots of walking and stair climbing. TJ determined the fascia muscles were too tight in my lower back. He gave me several ELDOA exercises and did massage therapy to loosen the fascia muscles. After 4 months of ELDOA exercises combined with massage therapy, I’m happy to say I was able to enjoy my trip without any pain or problems. I was first referred to Pierce Family Wellness by my chiropractor. He recommended I see TJ for ELDOA to help me maintain my adjustments longer. TJ educated me on fascial constriction, and the importance of unwinding the body. I have noticed an improvement in my posture, digestion, energy, and pain level.
I also worked with TJ after my bunion surgery. I was in so much pain. My hips and back were out of balance from wearing the boot. I had tried other things before going back to see TJ. TJ at Pierce Family Wellness made my pain and life so much better. My joints scars and pain was relieved with EL Doa stretching exercises that he customizes for me. I had back fusion and my physical therapist told me about him after he had done a program for the Doctors and PT at Sky Ridge. I did not have my surgery there but went they for PT after I was able because it was close to my house. He helped with all my joints because of severe osteoarthritis and helped my mobility I was able to function so much better with the Eldoa method and felt so much better gaining more energy and endurance. I’m now in Montana and there is no Eldoa here. If you would try it it will make a difference. I was a clinical nurse for 37 years before back surgery and now I’m sub teaching K thru 12. I learned about many techniques to benefit my entire spine. There was one in particular called ELDORA. It made my lower spine feel like it hadn’t in years. I’m critical and pessimistic, TJ is great, he’s patient and passionate. I can’t say enough. If you feel down and hopeless about your body, TJ Pierce is the person for you. I don’t recommend people unless I see a great person.

When I first came to PFW I was post-surgery (several years) for my back and knee. I truly had not developed a good sense of body awareness at this point in my life so those surgeries completely altered my health and I couldn’t find a way forward. So, since the surgical areas were at least pain-free I was flummoxed as to why other joints were so painful and my life had become so limited and immobile. Thankfully good friends recommended TJ. I was intermittently using a cane to walk when I met him. At that time I was only 56, but felt I had the body of a 76-year-old. So, I was not only in bad shape physically, I was quite discouraged and almost desperate for help and solutions.
With ELDOA and the osteo-articular joint pumping, I felt relief from pain instantly. It was astounding! The pain would creep back by the end of the intervening week, but as time went on, I held a healthy equilibrium longer and longer. As TJ also taught me the pertinent ELDOA exercises I was also able to put myself back in equilibrium when hips (etc.) got stiff and painful. After a year of weekly appointments with TJ, I felt my body was stronger and responding to natural movement for health and healing. I never use a cane any more. I bike 25-50 miles per week. When I get out of alignment, I apply what TJ taught me and I’m ready to walk, bike and live again almost pain-free. He taught me that surgery and medications are the last-ditch effort and there are many, many things we can do to reach better health in simple and natural ways. I am quite certain I will never allow anyone to coerce me into surgery again. TJ taught me how to pay attention to my body and find my internal mechanisms that can heal so well.

I’m a super busy, very physically active 40 year old mom and long distance triathlete, and regular appointments with TJ literally keep me going. I beat my body up a fair amount, and he addresses any tightness, soreness, pain or lack of mobility by finding the root of the issue and working through it. After years of lingering discomfort/pain in my back and ribs, TJ was the first of the many professionals I consulted to find it was actually coming from a hiatal hernia and that releasing the hernia relieved the symptoms. I started seeing TJ about 5 years ago after failed physical therapy for my knee and a slew of other chronic issues. TJ was immediately able to assess my knee alignment issue, and by the end of the first session I was moving better than I had in years, and without pain. I later received some clear diagnoses for my other chronic issues (including a genetic degenerative joint disease and digestive infections); TJ's ongoing expertise, instruction, and manual therapy have allowed me to avoid spine surgery and achieve better gut motility. TJ knows the body and kinesiology better than any medical professional I've worked with (and I've seen many!). He always shares his knowledge in very practical and accessible ways. I attend regular sessions and have learned several targeted ELDOA stretches for my back and other joints so that I can maintain strength/alignment at home, find relief, and continue to minimize pain. I am a Mom of 4, teacher and run a small farm. I injured my back about a year ago. Fractured and bulging discs. I had gone to chiropractor for treatment but was in chronic pain which limited my abilities to live my life and do the things I enjoyed. I could not exercise the way I used to, I was told I wouldn’t be able to ride horses for a very long time and surgery was suggested after my MRI.

I came to TJ and Brian after I had an accident mountain biking. I needed help with mobility of my left arm and general help with posture from sitting all day at a desk.
Through accidents and aging you will need help to maintain your mobility. TJ and Brian are very knowledgeable in the Eldoa method and will help you regain some or all of your mobility back.

I originally had suffered a golf injury of "frozen shoulder" that several other doctors and chiropractors were unable to relieve the pain or improve the mobility, in any significant way at all.
