The gym itself is really nice ! And have a decent amount of amenities while still being affordable. Last night 11/28 around midnight I was leaving and asked the employee about the black card spa, I don’t have the black card only my friend who I was with does. I asked if we both needed the black card to use it, And the employee was super rude about it, saying he would put a note in the profile so nobody will ever do that for us. Keep in mind they have before done this for us. I know they shouldn’t but why be such a jerk about it?

This is a fantastic gym!

I started there a couple years ago on my physical therapist’s recommendation. I really enjoyed the machines, environment, and how clean and functional the place is.

The new renovations take this to a whole new level!!!! Not only do they still have all the trusty machines from before (perfectly adjustable for the guys AND the ladies), but they have added a lot more free weights!!! This is a huge improvement for anyone who is looking for those stabilizing muscles as well.

The place is fantastically laid out. The staff are incredibly personable and helpful. The environment is positive. This place absolutely promotes growth!!!

I’ll start with the positive. The staff here are so friendly, always smiling. They work hard to keep the space clean.

The equipment is not built to accommodate women - every machine has bars that are too big to actually grip with normal sized womens hands. Ex assisted pullup machine, ellipticals, etc. I can’t even use much of the equipment bc I can’t grip it.

I recently visited the location in Fayetteville, NC and realized that it all PF’s are like this. Their equipment was updated and suited for both men and women.

It’s SO hot - please crank the air and turn fans up! Especially in summer and when it rains and it’s humid.

After visiting locations across the country it’s made me realize how much better this location could be with updates.

I love Planet Fitness in Castle Rock! The employees are always friendly and helpful, and I never feel like I am out of place. Very poor experience. Older man working late night was extremely rude and condescending. Came inside the locker room area speaking condescendingly, yelling, and stayed and stared at me until I finished changing and left the building. Unfortunately this was the only planet fitness open 24 hrs that I could use while traveling through late at night, absolutely felt horrible.

I don’t appreciate an employee treating a member like a criminal staring and waiting until I left the entire time.

I won't be stepping foot back in another planet fitness or recommending anyone to go here. I was told one thing when I signed up and then told something different by the manager when I canceled my membership and asked for the annual fee back because I didn't cancel it before the payment drafted to the bank. When I signed up I was told that the annual membership was for the follow year and since I'm not using the gym for this year I still can't get my money back. The manager says the fee was for last year's use. It's really frustrating that I'm being told something different by each person I come across. They don't seem very customer friendly in my opinion when it comes to dealing with things like this.

The staff is pleasant and helpful, the amenities are clean and nothing stays non-functional for long if equipment breaks.

It's a smaller location than other locations so it's missing some equipment that would be useful. It's the only PF in Castle Rock so it can also get overcrowded at times.

It's definitely a location worth frequenting, though. and aside from corporate decisions that cause the frustrations listed above, those working the space keep it in tip top shape for customer use.

This planet fitness is very clean and well-maintained overall (not all of them are)! Ashley, at the front desk in the mornings, works incredibly hard!! When she is not actively helping a customer, she is cleaning. Not most of the time, but ALWAYS. I probably average 4-5 hours a week in there, and she is ALWAYS working hard, and yet, she still stops what she is doing to acknowledge customers as they scan in. I certainly hope management staff show their appreciation for her!! Unfortunately, there seems to be a relatively high staff turnover rate, but after several years of consistent visits here, I can highly recommend the Castle Rock Planet Fitness.

Drinking water isn't filtered and is always down, leaving you to grab water from the push bar. You can see things growing in the drain.

They have started running out of power towels and supply cloths to wipe down equipment which is now doing more harm than good.

One of the sinks in the men's room smells like fart when you use it. Some dispensers are completely empty.

No more of those training classes for years now.

Other than that you get the occasional Karen taking up 3-4 sets or dumbbells. No men in the women's restrooms that I know of. I have heard the women's restrooms have been going through issues as well.

I love my gym and don’t want to be negative but what is the reason a bathroom stall is broken for 6 + months. So many new people have joined and several times now I got to use the restroom and there’s a line to wait because the girls bathroom has been a stall down forever. The water dispenser is constantly being broken, turnover of employees has been very noticeable and overall cleanliness has declined. Again, love my gym. Staff is always great but it’s the persistent things that continue to remain broken and noticeable decline in cleanliness around the gym and in the restrooms.

Edit: this location is great and has absolutely nothing wrong with it. The reason I rated 4 stars is because the parking lot is a bit of mess, no fault at all of planet fitness. And the cops are hiding 24/7 pulling people over for not stopping long enough at the 10 stop signs in the parking lot. It’s ridiculous but because of that I rate this location 4 stars.

Have been going to plant for years and lately since new management the hydro massage loungers always have one broken and now a hydro bed. This amenity is one of the main reasons I go here and bring people who end up joining with me!!! When will these be fixed?????

I used to go to 24, but it got way too expensive. I love the price of PF, plus the amenities you can utilize if you're a black card member. I typically go at 4am, and it's dead. Sometimes, certain times in the afternoon can be dead, too. You just have to check the crowd meter on the app to get an idea of how busy it is. The facility is kept clean, and theres tons of machines. The free weight section is a little smaller than I would prefer, but when it's dead, it's just the right size.

The Planet Fitness in Castle Rock is centrally located so you can go exercise and run your errands all in one trip. Lots of choices of machines and exercises. Never had an issue until the female at the front desk today (who also refused to give a name).. Anyways what's the point of having a membership card or providing your membership card when they're going to decline you, laugh at you, make fun of you, and make jokes about you?!?. The manager "Mark" at this location was the one who set up the membership, and it was actually set up for showers only.. not gym use. Everything has been fine until the little snotty dark haired female today. But the female today declined entry. I spoke to corporate who said they need to speak to the manager, but it's even more pointless cuz it's the manager who gave me the membership card. I have had no issues since October 16th until this female behind the counter today. Extremely unprofessional & they've shown customers should find a more professional place to workout and shower. Then to top it off, for them making screw-ups they want to rail you for it and play victim. What a joke! That little brat canceled my membership bc she was mad that I called corporate on her.

this gym goes above and beyond to keep everything clean and functioning properly. I really appreciate how hard the staff work to keep this gym in such great condition. I also really appreciate that most gym goers at this location wipe down their own equipment as well. This location has a great selection of equipment and options to have an awesome workout. Also special shout out to Eric for always be so kind and welcoming! Oh and the black card membership… SO worth it; the hydro massage lounges are incredible.

This place is great while your a member bit once you want to leave the rail you. We tried to cancel my wife's membership of 4 years they charges us $60 to cancel. The guys at the desk and in house staff are great but the management sacks. They had to call a manager to ask her a question and they were scared to call her. Sounds like a standup individual. You have your employees scared and nervous to call you about simple questions. I hope this lady calls me. There are supposed to be no commitment on the memberships and their computer just miraculously decided she was in a 12 month commitment. So BUYERS BEWARE. They enter you in to commitments without you knowing.

Once again the inhouse staff is so fantastic and they were so apologetic but when they called boss lady, you could tell she just wanted to get off the phone and told them to charge us.
