I like this planet fitness. Unless you go during peak time you can usually get on any piece of equipment. There have at least 2 of every weight machine. They have tons of cardio machines. It is fairly clean. At least no big trash. The men's locker room sometimes has an odor around the urinals. Plenty of parking.

Friendly people and staff but HVAC is contaminated with mold due to improper maintenance. The men’s locker room, and other vents are covered with dust. It’s a clear sign that they haven’t been serviced in years. It was my first time at this specific location and I’ll never come back. I had to cut my workout short. As an individual with mold Sensitivities, I instantly had irritation within my ears, eyes and throat. It’s not safe environment. Go to a different location.

I’m hesitant to write a review because more people might show up but I love this gym. The staff is very nice and more importantly, genuine. I don’t come across this too often in the service industry anymore. And the facility is always clean. And it’s the least I’ve paid for a gym membership in the 40 years I’ve been working out. Utilized this gym while on a trip to Denver. A day pass was $5 and I was able to go two mornings in a row during the 24-hr period of my day pass. This location has a wide, well-lit lobby that elevates the feeling of the gym, and it was very clean. The staff member I spoke to at the front desk was kind and made small-talk with me about cashless establishments. A lot of elitist gymbros think it's fun to rag on PF and the people who go there to get some movement in, but as a serious gymgoer who has used various gyms over the years to reach my goals, I always have a positive experience utilizing Planet Fitness as my "travel gym" when I'm out of town and away from my home gym. It lives up to its advertised friendly and judgement-free persona and I like being a visitor in a gym where nobody knows me and the pressure to be a crazy roided up powerlifter is dissolved. This location might be the best one I've visited so far and I really liked working out here!

I just joined yesterday I have worked out twice at planet fitness. Jordan at the front desk is an outstanding employee and gave me a great tour of the facility. It’s because of him I joined with the Black Card option.
The gym is very large and very clean.

This is a big PF, lots of equipment. However, they dont do a good job with their free weights section. There's only one wall and then some kettle bells in a different area. They could easily consolidate a couple of sections and add in more dumbells in the area that has the abduction machines.

This is about the best equipped gym I've seen. I was there when it was not crowded so could be it's chaotic at peak hours. But there were duplicate machines fir each exercise. A great selection of free weights. A special room for stretching n abs. A TRX station..just great and all looked new. Stzff incredibly friendly as well

As a new resident, Latina woman, and someone who’s currently pregnant, I expected a little more basic kindness when trying to work out and stay healthy. I recently went to this gym, unaware that I needed to switch my location since I had just moved—and instead of helping me through it, the staff member was rude, dismissive, and overly focused on the fact that I have the $10 plan, as if that made me less worthy of respect. The attitude was completely uncalled for and unnecessary.

This experience made me feel extremely unwelcome, and at a time in my life when support and positivity are needed most. It’s hard enough to stay consistent with health while pregnant and adjusting to a new place—being treated like a nuisance because of an error was completely unnecessary.

I hope this location improves how they treat all members, regardless of membership tier or background. Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected when taking care of their health - even when they have to take a few moments to switch the home gym location.

It’s a decent gym. Staff is alright, kind of annoyed the a staff member had me move to the other side of the room so he could vacuum. I felt like that wasn’t really customer service forward by interrupting my workout so he could vacuum a small area, he could have waited for me and the other person over there to finish. I’ve been to well over 100 PF clubs all over the country, and this one is hands-down the absolute BEST there is for weight equipment. It’s huge and has the largest selection and quantity of equipment possible in any PF. And the best thing is that it’s never crowded. Also, they have great a/c in the summer, which so many clubs don’t.

The one negative is that they made the horrible choice to go with crappy Matrix elliptical machines instead of the MUCH better LifeFitness, which is an option for any PF club.

I've been coming to this gym for 1.5 years now and will say that I've never had a bad experience. The staff is awesome, especially Danny. He's went above and beyond to help me numerous times. Absolutely unacceptable business practices at the Glendale Planet Fitness. I have been a paying member, with monthly dues withdrawn from my bank account without fail—yet suddenly, I am being told I owe a nominal balance of $20 from over a year ago. Because of this supposed balance, I am now being denied access to the facility, despite them continuing to charge me every single month.

If there was truly an outstanding balance, why was it never communicated to me before? Why was I not notified at the time instead of being blindsided after over a year of uninterrupted payments? And most importantly—how is it ethical for them to take my money every month while refusing to let me use the gym?

To make matters worse, when I asked for contact information for management or corporate, I was completely shut down. The staff refused to provide any way to escalate my issue, making it clear that they have no intention of resolving this fairly. It’s beyond frustrating to be caught in a billing scam with no accountability from the people in charge.

This is shady, misleading, and frankly, terrible customer service. No reasonable business should continue charging a customer while simultaneously blocking them from using what they’re paying for. I will be reporting this issue further if it is not resolved immediately.

If you’re considering a membership here, think twice—because if they pull this stunt on you, good luck getting a straight answer or a fair resolution.

Be very cautious before signing up for a Planet Fitness membership. Their contracts often require linking your personal bank account, making cancellations difficult. Online reviews frequently highlight how challenging it is to terminate a membership, suggesting that Planet Fitness relies on consumer fatigue to keep collecting fees, either in person to cancel or send a written letter, however they certainly have no issues quickly signing you up on their APP. Once your bank account is linked, disputing charges through your bank can also become problematic.
When you request a review of any charges at Planet Fitness, the staff claim they have no authority to make decisions and instead direct you to a third-party finance company. They often pass responsibility among the franchise owner, corporate office, and a third-party finance company, making a resolution impossible. Borderline Scam.

If you intend to be a lifelong member, maybe into the afterlife then Planet Fitness might work for you. Otherwise, I'd recommend considering a gym with more flexible and consumer-friendly membership policies.

Tried canceling my account 3 or 4 times this is my 3rd month, not being able to get into the gym to cancel it. They won't stop charging me. I've tried to downgrade my pass. It's a scam. This pf might be the best one I've ever gone to. They have throughly used the space to maximum efficiency, which is critical in my opinion to good gym etiquette. Example: stair climbers are spaced throughout the gym so that each one is on the end of an aisle of treadmills. Most planet fitnesses will have all 6 of they stair climbers bunched together, forcing ppl to be right next to you.

I brought a friend who had never been to planet fitness and wanted to try out the gym but Dennis Davis, the assistant manager, would not give her a trial pass and instead she paid $10 to try out the gym for a day — the cost of an entire month. He stated they don't do trial passes but when I joined over two years ago, they were happy to offer it to me with all of the amenities before I joined. I am disappointed in their lack of customer service and especially the attitude of this manager so I am joining a gym that treats their prospective members equally.

In addition to that, the water filling station hasn't had the filter changed since the place opened and the men's bathroom soap dispensers are almost always out of soap. You get what you pay for here.

Updated one year later. It's still five stars, but after spending 3 months driving around the country, I'm convinced this is the single BEST PF in the USA. I mean it's not all that, but it's spacious, clean, and tons of equipment. They have the free lockers with built in locks inside the gym. As I learned, not all of them do.

Planet fitness likes to steal money from their customers. I cancelled my membership due to me having a leg injury and they were still charging me every month. I called planet fitness to cancel and the guy up front told me basically that’s too bad and I still have to come in to cancel, I explained how is it my fault for the mistake YOUR employee made. They agreed to cancel it over the phone and when I asked for a refund for the previous month they told me no. I asked to speak to the manager and they were rude and aggressive. They didn’t want to refund me my hard earned money for the previous month when I went in with a BROKEN LEG to cancel. Very unprofessional, the employee was rude, he didn’t want to help me. I’m upset. I been calling corporate and I get no response, I left emails, I contacted them over and over and they like to have excuses and not own up to their mistakes. I would not recommend getting a membership at this location or this place in general. This is not the first time I’ve heard bad things about planet fitness. Save you some time and don’t even waste your energy or money here. Very very disappointed. What happened to “the customer is always right”. I want my money back. This is unfair. I’ve been a member for about 2 years straight. I love the Louisville location, it’s friendly and clean. Today I went to the Colorado Boulevard location to use the massage beds. When i went to the bathrooms they were very dirty. Clumps of hair were on the floor in several places. Then when I went back to sign up for the massage beds I looked at the mirrors near the workout areas. There were handprints everywhere. I spoke to a few nice employees and they reported that the General Manager walked out on the company recently. The employees said they had no cleaning supplies for a while and just got some in. The company that owns this franchise really needs to clean up their act and hire a cleaning and maintenance crew. I had my own eco cleaning business back in the day, so I know what i’m looking at. It would be very easy to catch a cold in this gym. I felt really bad for the nice employees.

Been nothing but a money drain for the past 3 years, I understand covid happened but thats no longer an excuse for not being 24hrs. I work nights so now can never make it by 10. Plus their employees lock the doors before 930 then stand there and tap their wrists at you from behind their desk (just experienced this, AGAIN) RUDE and inexcusable. I’ve been going to this Planet Fitness for about two months and this is the second time I’ve shown up at 6:30 AM just for the gym to be inexplicably closed during normal hours. This time, there was a handwritten sign stuck in the door telling people to go to another location 2+ miles away. What?
I’m sure it’s hard to keep good staff at the front desk, but there needs to be some kind of better backup plan for when these sort of things happen. The gym is normally clean and has good equipment which is why I’m rating two stars, but unfortunately for this to happen twice within 2 months is pretty disappointing.

Changing to 1 star as they are randomly open. Today for example drove over there to find out some lazy worker didn’t show to open. Unacceptable for a service we pay for.

There are things I really like about this gym like the amount of equipment, that it’s not very busy in the morning and how spacious it is.

Things they really need to do better at is the locker rooms. Today I saw a giant hairball in the toilette area that will probably remain there for years. The showers and changing stalls are in desperate need of cleaning and are turning green. Come on Planet Fitness you are supposed to be the “clean” club but aren’t living up to it. Get some dang power washers and clean those showers and bathroom area.

When you sign up, don’t just sign the screen when they tell you to sign. I was told I had a 6 month membership. I called 4 months in trying to cancel, and they again confirmed I had a 6 month membership because they told me I had to come in in person to cancel in April (6 months in) and couldn’t cancel early without paying a cancellation fee. I came in like directed, and apparently I signed something “electronically” saying I committed for a year and it cost me $60 to cancel early. If you’re unsure, make sure you realize that you will almost certainly be locked in for a full year plus the $40 yearly fee on top of the monthly fee and the $30 sign up fee.

I have been to several Planet Fitness locations on a consistent basis, and the Colorado Ave location has to be my favorite. Everyone who works there are very kind and helpful with from questions about workouts to just chatting between sets. The machines are well maintained and clean and the location has good parking.

Wow. This place is immaculate and beyond clean. What a great gym and the front desk rep was super nice and helpful. One of the best Planet Fitness locations I've ever been to. Definitely reccomend!
