My favorite planet fitness in Colorado, I've been to almost all of them.

The one thing that ruins it is mon-fri late morning there is a man that smells so foul i have to leave the room when he's around. Im not a complaining karen, but I've seen so many ppl pack up and leave the area. I've never smelt something that is so bad my eyes water. He also has the top part of his naked butt exposed a lot. Please, KINDLY address this. Anyone here at that time knows. It's very awkward but needs to be handled otherwise I may start going to a different location. It is a pain to switch up my workout split when I have to leave area. Like I said, this is hands down my favorite planet. So many great things here. If I could come at a different time I would but its the only time I can fit in

Tons of treadmills so I can always guarantee I’ll get a run in and not have to worry about them all being taken. Usually very clean as well. My favorite part is the indoor bike parking, though I wish there was a longer bike rack. It’s really nice to have the extra security of locking a bike inside, especially on 16th street. This is what sets this gym apart for me since parking may be hard in this area of Denver. Please keep the indoor bike parking 🙏🏼

I’ve been a Planet Fitness member since 2019, paying $20 a month consistently—even during years when I wasn’t using the gym. I had tried to cancel my membership over the phone a while back, but was told it wasn’t allowed, so the charges continued.

Recently, I decided to return to the gym only to find that my account had accumulated $75 in late fees. I asked if there was any way to waive or reduce the fees, especially considering how long I’ve been paying without using the service (and that I did try to cancel in the past). The answer was a flat-out no—no consideration, no empathy, just policy.

When I decided to cancel my membership for good, I was told I had to pay the full balance first. I did, but the entire experience left a bad impression. After years of being a paying customer, I didn’t feel valued at all. Disappointing customer service and zero flexibility. You’re welcome for the thousands of dollars.

It’s certainly a good gym for the price. The equipment is fine and in line with what you’d expect to find at a planet fitness, although it is missing some machines I like and can find at other PFs, such as the Hammer Strength Ab Crunch

The primary downside for me though is the hours of operation, I begin working at 6am most days so the gym opening at 5am prevents me from doing morning workouts.

Overall the gym is fine for the price and is somewhere I enjoy going to workout.

The gym was easy to access from the 16th St Mall despite the crazy amount of construction. The front desk clerk was assisting a homeless person which may have been concerning but they did not let them access the workout area or the restroom/locker room space. There is a clear open view of the Black Card area and several options for tanning and therapy beds, however you will need to plan on cleaning them before you use them because clearly people here do not know the rules.

I hit the Gym to decompress, get some me time in and trying to rehab a leg full of metal. It's my me time and I love it. The staff here at this particular location...no complaints. Day staff was awesome. Night staff was just OK. Then they hired Parker who changed the game!!!! Place is spotless and Parkers got the vibe goin on point!!! I usually go to the location in Aurora,CO... but I was downtown with a guest and I'm a black card member. I myself am a lesbian female and my guest was my girlfriend. The employee whose name escapes me(female with bright red cropped haircut) was completely rude to my gf and I. So I been a skateboarder for 20 years. I’ve now been an entrepreneur for the last 10 years. As someone who knows hard work and dedication and integrity I was very disappointed on this location and it’s manager Miss Kerri. I went to take a shower one day and minutes after I was being falsely accused of stealing a watch from a locker which mind you I have no idea of. I apologized and continued to tell the male workers at the time I had nothing to do with anything. Two weeks go by and one day the same male workers I believe his name was donte miss Kerri had sent him over to tell me his exact words were “ she doesn’t want you here”. Confused at this point I try to approach kerri stating hey like that’s wrong. I didn’t do anything and she didn’t let me speak and automatically called security and I ended up leaving because I’m helpless at this point. I ask please planet Fitness at least talk to the women, she violated planet fitness own policy which is not responsible for lost items in locker rooms, she didn’t let me speak and why was I kicked out 2 weeks after being falsely accused. I was left feeling defeated and confused coming from a life of abuse all I wanted to do was workout and go about my day and they Manager and front desk workers really singled me out. I felt discriminated against. Again against your policy. So I ended up leaving the gym and going to a different location and everything has been great. I’ve been to FL CA NJ locations and some like lake wood and lakeside amazing time and never had an issue until I went to 16th mall street. Makes me question planet fitness business morals and integrity. As a business owner that is not acceptable under any circumstances I would of fired Kerri a thousand years ago. That’s all I have to say I’ve moved on and accepted the fact that 16th mall street can potentially ruin your whole life it’s not worth going there. Super unprofessional

Planet fitness entices you by their deals, then they make it very difficult to cancel if needed. I don’t appreciate their crude policies on canceling (that being me going in person or me physically mailing in a letter LOL). Get with the times, it’s 2024 and let me cancel through the app like any other moral company. I will never be signing up for this membership again. Genuinely one of THE cleanest and most socially comfortable planet fitness locations I’ve ever used. I’ve utilized many other gyms in Denver (apartment amenities, Chuze, Anytime Fitness, other PF locations in the area) and this location has consistently been the best in terms of cleanliness, safety, and genuinely felt Judgment Free.

Every staff member I’ve encountered over the lasts year was patient, helpful, and professional.

Actually sad that I had to cancel my membership just recently. Appreciate Parker assisting me with transitioning out of my commitment and ensuring it was seamless and welcoming me back anytime- if I ever need another membership, I will 100% choose this as my home gym again.

Despite being downtown and limited parking, this has been one of my fave planet fitness locations! I truthfully find the staff to be as helpful as they can be.

It’s a smaller planet fitness, but seems to be less busy than other ones in the surrounding area. Feels pretty empty most of the time, and I haven’t had any issues with trying to get the correct gym equipment for my workouts.

Great place and people, but management needs to tack down on 1 person hogging 3-4 machines at once. 1 person using the fly machine, both cables and the bench press smith machine at once is ridiculous. Plus, you got people spending 30 minutes on one machine while playing Pokémon Go. The excessive amount of time and use of multiple machines at once needs to be addressed. Others pay to use the machines, too, and it isn't exactly fair to have to wait for a guy to expend all his Pokémon ball in order to clear the bench press. You can still have a judgment free zone while being courteous to others.

In the center of downtown is a clean gym experience near Stout Street on 16th. Walk upstairs and check-in with a supportive front desk who readily answers questions about billing. The membership fee is in a budget-wise price range, and the gym delivers equipment closer to the quality of a resort.

I find the rating of over 4 stars to be fishy. This place was at 2.9 last time I checked and it wasn't long ago. After every 1 star review, there are 5 great reviews basically saying the exact opposite, word for word. Additionally, they are always dead and empty. How can so many great reviews come in when no one comes here? Same reason it's clean 🤣. The staff here will never get better as long as the manager is the same judgemental manager(the woman with bright red or pink hair who likes to gossip about, side eye, falsely accuse and intimidate members). It seems that when a new, nice and friendly staff member is hired, they are gone quickly. To me, that shows that it sucks to work there as bad as it does to come in as a member. I've been a PF member over 5 years and even tho I live 5 minutes from this location, I do everything I can to avoid it. I'll literally take the bus to Aurora or Lakewood. That says a lot. I had such a bad experience while bringing a guest here several years ago that I had to file a corporate complaint. Racist, unprofessional and predatory are understatements. Even the employee working at the time found the managers orders so uncalled for, he refused, corroborated my claim to corporate and I never saw him again. If I am forced to come to this location because of time constraints, I feel like I am being whispered and gossiped about. I would like to add that the people at the corporate office and the employees that every other location that I've been to in both Colorado and California have been awesome! It's a very clean gym in a very good location, if you can do your workout during odd hours or are mainly interested in cardio this is an excellent Plant Fitness. During primetime on week days though it is not possible to get a timely strength workout in, there simply isn't enough weight equipment at this location for the number of patrons during prime hours. I guess that is to be expected, but I really wish they would expand the weight equipment area. Come in any time (especially when its busy) and you'll see the weight area very full and the ellipticals mostly empty. Wish Planet Fitness would make better use of their nice space to match what the people with memberships are using when they are there.

I barely had my membership with this location for a month before deciding to cancel. The facility itself is well kept and had everything you'd expect to find in a planet fitness, but unfortunately I had a not so great experience with a staff member that does not represent their "judgement free zone" motto.

I think she's a manager at the location, as she typically wears a different colored shirt than everyone else I've seen there - red curly haired woman. But the short of it is this: she accused me of lying about getting one of those silly eye protections they're now requiring for an amenity that does NOT use UV light (which they were temporarily giving out for free - mind you).

The next several times I came in for a workout I felt like I kept getting a side eye from her, and I suspect she put some note in the system about that interaction because on the very next check in, some pop up message came up on screen that she herself went to dismiss, even though she wasn't the one checking me in.

I DEFINITELY felt that she was holding a grudge on me and I didn't appreciate the dirty looks I kept getting when she would notice me in the gym, which is why I'll be taking my fitness business elsewhere 👎

Planet Fitness as a company is fantastic. Great rates for what you get. This is one of my least favorite locations however. Pretty tight quarters and if you need to drive parking is an absolute nightmare. Staff is solid though!

The bottom line is that the management of this location does an awful job of making this an easily accessible city gym. The single and tiny bike rack is constantly full and there is no validated parking whatsoever so the 15 or so street meters that are readily available in the area are constantly busy.

Again, staff is great but it doesn’t quite make up for how annoying it is to simply visit this gym.

Good gym. Had a similar experience trying to bring my son as a guest, very rude and not helpful. I happened to have a copy of his birth certificate in my email though, so not much they could do but let us in. The desk staff is 50/50 in terms of attitude. Some are really nice and others are just not, at all, bordering on rude. There are usually 3-5 of them on staff at a time, no idea what they all do as they do not appear to be trainers and spend more time chatting than anything else.
I wish they utilized the space a bit better, so many treadmills, empty treadmills. The space could be better utilized with more weight machines or HIIT training. Definitely like that the classes are in a back room away from everyone staring, I wish they had a second room like this for when classes are going on. For the price though, you can't beat it. Trainer Dallas is very helpful/knowledgeable as well even if you aren't taking the class.
Update: to cancel membership you have to go IN PERSON with a WRITTEN LETTER to cancel. Totally ridiculous and unacceptable, they make it difficult to cancel membership on purpose. I understand that all gyms rely on 90% of people paying month to month and rarely if ever showing up, but an email and phone call should be more than sufficient to cancel a membership. Extremely bad policy.

This is a perfect location right in the heart of downtown.

Very well maintained and clean with a lot of exercise equipment.

I do feel that they may have too many cardio machines especially in the area facing 16th Street as this space could be used for other equipment.

Overall, I'm so happy that this great gym is in this location.

Also I need to mention, the staff are very helpful and friendly and seem to genuinely care about the gym members.

It's nice and clean here. The staff is on so far that I've seen and it's one of the cleanest PF. The showers have doors and are a nice size compared to the ones with 🚿 curtains their fairly small. There are lots of machines that are rarely used though

Please allow me to vent: so on the first note I thought I had a Financial issue with Planet Fitness so I walked in looking for a certain worker to speak to( which ended up turning out that he had been 86'd ) anywho🫠 I was greeted by a lovely young lady who happened to be wearing a "new" employee or maybe team member¿🤷🏻‍♂️ badge add inclusion and just sound a bit better " so off the top I knew she wouldn't catch the drift, at the same time I did not underestimate her ability to help me. so continue to proceed with the issue at hand🗣soon we were both lost🤷🏻‍♀️

I've been to over 100 PF clubs all over the country, and I rate them based on size and quality/quantity of equipment. This gym is very nice. Initially I would have rated it 3 stars based on the fact that it's one of the smallest PF facilities you'll find, but I bumped it up to 4 stars because, unlike many of the other ones, they chose to go with the superior quality Life Fitness cardio machines.

One might think that since it's downtown on 16th St Mall that it might not be the cleanest gym but that is so wrong. Super clean and the two AM desk workers are so friendly and were extremely helpful when my husband was having issues getting his membership changed out of our last home gym location.

I didn’t realize that PF doesn’t have any racks or free weights (other than dumbbells) so you have to use the smith machine for any kind of heavy lifting. I’ve been trying to learn how to do my main lifts on this machine but it’s uncomfortable and I’m afraid of setting off the lunk alarm. Doesn’t feel like a judgment free zone to me lol. Very sad that I’ll probably lose a lot of the progress I’ve made lifting over the last year. Once my year contract here is up I’ll be switching to a gym with a better range of equipment.

The red headed manager and I don't know here name. That's is my description of her. Accused me of smoking Marijuana inside the locker room. When I was accused of it I was taking a shower. Once I came out my I was told my membership was canceled with no explanation. When I asked the manager how come she states that 2 members of the gym smelled it . Never once did she come to me and ask me if I was smoking.

This gym not only can make you strong and fit but also with the black card this gym can follow you everywhere in the world no other gym can actually do that deep tissue for speed up recovery weights for easy strength training without tearing muscles amazing gym only place when you need it the most

Got weird, negative vibes when I talked to the front desk people, unfortunately.

I only came in to check out the location to see if I wanted to add in a second workout after work downtown, but I felt almost like they thought I was stupid from they way they looked at and talked to me so that's not really the kind of atmosphere I want to be in.

The front desk people also didn't know much about the Total Body Enhancement machine either and even told me entirely wrong information after I did my own looking into the machine. Not their fault they weren't trained well, but there are clearly multiple areas of improvement.

I don't appreciate whatever that interaction was. It was borderline judgy af. And I have no idea why. I'm not a freakin' vagrant, but you certainly made me feel like you thought I was.
Won't mention names, but I am left with a gross feeling going in there. Never thought I'd have to write something like this. Yuck. It made me feel that bad.

Honestly I get why planet fitness gets so much hate. It’s not even necessarily their staff or even the equipment or the space. It’s the type of people that go here that really freak me out. I would be on your toes at any planet fitness you go to because I just got into a confrontation with a low life who had nothing better to do than complain about how long I was on a machine. If I tell you I have 2 more sets. That means I HAVE 2 MORE SETS, and you can wait till I am finished. Also see some people with full face masks walking around while they are working out. This gym gives me weird vibes and it’s what you should expect from some cheap gym downtown where there’s homeless people crawling around like zombies. I hope you read this review and decide not to sign up here. VASA IS BETTER :)

Its ok at best. When its busy you'll have the only 4 benches being sat in by the same dudes for 30-60 min who spend the majority of their time scrolling social media. There really needs to be a policy against resting on equipment, especially if there's like 20 unused ellipticals that waste space.

The manager Kerri and front desk worker Devonte discriminated against me and blamed me for stealing someone’s lost item while I was in the shower. She then banned me because she didn’t like me or something about me. I would come workout 2 times a day and worked hard. I’m from nj out of state and this was my experience after taking a shower in planet fitness. She abused her power and I tried to complain but no one’s seems to do anything

You are sure to find plenty of friendly staff to help you here at this planet fitness in downtown Denver in the Latimer square area. I went during the morning on several days and found that there was plenty of equipment so no one had to wait in line. The men's locker room is clean in the showers have great water pressure. If you are a black card member, you'll enjoy the usual features as well as the full body workout booth.
