Pretty good place lots of machines and equipment. Although it's kind of uncomfortable first starting because it feels like you should already know exactly what to do there. Also the first gym I've seen someone filming. Idc I take pictures but still kind of scary. But I will still keep coming back as it's the only place I can workout at 2:30 A.M.

I’ve been going to Planet Fitness since probably 2018 on my parents membership and just got my own Black Card membership after moving to Colorado for college. I’ve been to this Lakewood location plenty of times this semester and even used to drive 20 minutes out of my way just to come here.

Today I dealt with probably the rudest Planet Fitness employee I’ve ever met. When I walked into the Black Card lounge, the bald manager, his name was like Tom or Dom or something, followed me in like a hawk and asked me if I needed help. Then he told me I had to check in at the front desk to use the massage beds — something I’ve never heard of at any location. I was just at the Highlands Ranch location on Sunday and they did not have this policy at all. He didn’t stop there. He interrogated me about where I got the code to the beds, like that isn’t something every other location gives out without a problem. I’m downplaying this as well, just for the record. He made multiple rude remarks while we were walking back up to the desk and he assumed I was sneaking in/didn’t have a membership.

If you’re going to make up new rules, at least put up a sign so paying members know. I’ve been going to Planet for years, and no one has ever said a word until now. This guy acted like I committed a crime by starting a massage bed on my own.

I used to go out of my way to come here, but after dealing with someone this rude and unprofessional over something so minor, I’m done with this location. Other reviews mention the same manager, so clearly this isn’t an isolated issue. It’s unfortunate to watch someone power trip as a manager at a gym.

Every month I continue to get charged for "inability to bill" but the back account on file has over 20k in it, so I think it can handle the 15$ and the credit card on back up had over 15k available. Yet EVERY MONTH on the 20th, they pull this scam to charge me 30$.

I have already said how much í love this place but I got one complaint and this I pray is my own self being paranoid but I got my bill on auto pay. Because I have a lot going on! I try to keep things simple so it's been about 3 months and my account has a late fee every time because I can only add my bank card and not my bank account so it acts as if i don't pay and then after the late fee is added it charges , y card as back up. Crazy by mind you its 20 bucks and with the late fee it 56 so I think Im being bamboozled or whinny I'm a tight wad and idc who knows lol!

I was there with a friend of mine. Since i was new and she has years of experience. It was my third time going to the gym and this guy was following us around. He then proceeded to corn us my friend and i and kicked us out because she was 'training' me. My friend has been in the gym for years but this guy decided to kick us out. The managed was kind enough to let us finish what we were doing but the "trainer" had cornered us and yelled at her to get out. I believe he was the only trainer there. I'm so glad i didnt buy a membership since i was considering going alone but jeses if their just letting angry and vindictive people work than no thank you.

I've been to many planet fitnesses and this one is the only one that won't let you park your e bike inside. Its not like it's in the way, and it's not like you offer a bike rack for your customers. So to be honest the guy at the front desk gets the one star review, because this has never happened before. I will be canceling my planet fitness membership and go to 24 hour fitness. When you dont care about your customers you lose them. Offer a bike rack, then it would make more sense.

Was a member with a great review 4 yrs ago. Now in 2025 it is a horrible place. I keep being overcharged and then lied to about refunds to my card. I have spoken to Dominic several times and he makes promises, and nothing changes I am still being overcharged.

There seems to often be many treadmills non-functional and when they do work the running mat slides as you start to jog which is a great way to throw out your back, sprain an ankle, etc.

I frequent 3 different Planet Fitness locations locally, and this one is on the bottom of the list for how dirty and tired the layout is. I'm not going to say which one is the best in hopes to keep the high schoolers that just stand around from frequenting that one in particular, but it had recently underwent a noticeable revamp of the layout. It was always super clean before, but now it's even looking like the quality you would see at a more premium gym, which I also have memberships to. The 1st and Wads location needs a face-lift desperately as it's pretty much the same as when I started going years ago. Get rid of a few useless elliptical machines and put more weight machines in. Also, replace the broken fixtures and trim because they're literally falling apart in some places. This location is one of the only 24/7 locations, and it gets a large number of users no matter what hour, but from the care put into the other locations, I know it can be done.

Used to be good (lots of equipment, nice staff, reasonably maintained) but the cleanliness has plummeted in the last 6+ months. Trash, hair, product on the floors of the bathrooms left for a week plus. Even the walls of the bathrooms are dirty. Please, please clean your facilities. A gym with this volume of people requires at least daily cleaning (vacuum, mop, scrub etc.)

Was acussed of lottiering. Planet fitness is supposed to be a judgement free zone. Also told not to eat there, have seen other people eat inside and, planet fitness sells drinks. There are no posted signs saying no lottiering and no eating in the black card lounge. Was told verbally, that I have a 1 hour time limit in the black card lobby and to go somewhere else and, was told I was watched since 1pm. I love that it is open 24 hours. It’s such a good monthly price with the ability to cancel anytime if needed. Totally takes the pressure off of being stuck in a contract. The full body machine area is amazing and makes it easy for me to quickly work out my entire body without having to overthink it. The free tanning beds are a nice bonus. The staff is always nice. The machines work well and the gym is clean. If I had to say anything that could improve would be adding a dry sauna that’s always been my favorite before or after a workout. Totally worth getting a membership

I’ve been going to this exact planet fitness on and off for the past 10 years. When I first started coming here the maintenance of not just the gym but the cleanliness of the men’s restroom was above expectations of what I expected.

Over the years I’ve watch this gym slowly go downhill in both maintenance and cleanliness. Not only are broken hinges on lockers from 3 years ago still not repaired but pieces of walls throughout the gym are falling apart which poses a huge safety risk for someone to have to get a tetanus shot if they were to get cut (check photo for example)

On top of that it’s beyond infuriating to continue to watch staff at the front desk discussing work out routines and even lifting weights over prioritizing this over guest safety and experience. These reasons add into the stigma of why Planet Fitness isn’t seen as a reputable gym. It’s embarrassing that the only notable pro is still the cheap gym membership, I doubt I’ll be coming back to this gym more often in the future.

When leaving a review it asks me to share my own experience. We'll I haven't even gotten to have one & I can tell you this is the last place you wanna go. I was looking around at different gyms because I have always worked our at home & wanted to try a gym. I called the planet fitness on sep 15th at 12pm to just ask a few questions. When the guy answered he told me his name & I asked if they had a planet fitness with free weights because I've heard that they don't normally although I don't know. They hung up on me. I called back thinking it was a mistake & I heard then pick up the phone then hang up. This happen multiple times. The lack of respect & professionalism is outstanding. As I go through the reviews I see that this particular planet fitness is not cleanly, lacking good staff, & falling apart all around. DONT GO TO THIS GYM YOUR REGRET IT.

This planet fitness is a bit better than my home base PF (Wheat Ridge), so I may start going here instead. The massage chairs were an upgrade, as they could massage your legs AND your arms with air bags. The machines were slightly better as well, because the safety mechanisms seemed easier to use, the increments went up by 10 instead of 15lbs, there was a dial with even smaller increments to really hone in on how much you can lift, and each machine has a time and lift counter so that you didn't have to keep track of each rep you did. The gym was also only slightly bigger than my PF, yet it seemed to have a better variety of machines.

The person at the front desk was nice, I didn't catch her name, she was a short-ish, middle-aged black woman, and seemed to be the only person on the shift. She was welcoming and helpful, despite having to do everything herself. (I'll add her name if I find it out so she can be properly praised by management, hopefully)

Currentmy, my only issue with the place is its location. It's pretty much un-bikable from where I live and is in the middle of a busy strip mall, but I don't fault them for that.
