I've had two negative experiences with female employees at the Planet Fitness in Loveland. The first issue was handled professionally by a reasonable manager who listened and resolved the matter — full credit to him for that.

The second incident happened over the 4th of July, 2023 weekend. When I calmly expressed disagreement with the cancellation policy and called it “BS,” the front desk employee completely overreacted. Instead of staying professional, she tried to throw me out of the gym simply because she didn’t like my choice of words. I wasn’t rude, aggressive, or disrespectful — I just disagreed. She eventually did what I asked, but only after unnecessary drama, and even then, it wasn’t done correctly.

I’m not writing this to criticize management — they’ve shown reason and professionalism. My poor rating is directed at the two female staff members who seem to forget that customers deserve respect and calm service, not emotional outbursts. If management can train these employees to handle situations with composure, this gym could be a great place again.

It’s already hard enough to come to the gym as a woman dealing with excessive sweating and body insecurities. Some people also carry trauma and anxiety, and coming here takes a lot of courage. The last thing anyone should have to face is staff members forming cliques, staring, or making jokes at people’s expense. The gym should be a supportive, judgment-free environment (literally on the wall) where everyone feels safe and respected. A little kindness and awareness go a long way. Super clean though.

I love this gym and the staff are amazing. There is a sign in this facility that says members are not allowed to wear bikini tops and straps cannot be showing. This is not enforced because there are a lot of women who dress inappropriately like they want attention. I have yet to see a man dress inappropriately there. Would you want your sister, wife or daughter to dress like that? If so you weren't raised right.

Their new manager is so rude. No eye contact, looks only at her screen, doesn’t smile.

What gives? There is like… 1 really sweet blonde girl who was there when the old manager (I believe that manager is pregnant at the moment, congrats!!!) worked there and she is always just the nicest girl!

Where is the guy who always says ‘have a blessed day!’? I miss that guy greeting me and saying bye.

The new manager rolls her eyes at some guests after they walk away. Doesn’t make me and my husband feel super great - we see it when we’re on the treadmill.

Idk. I don’t care to drive all the way to Fort Collins or Longmont for another PF but when we walk in and see who’s working - depending who it is, it can be a bummer.

Good place to workout, but it is getting run down. In the last few months there seems to always be equipment that is not working and it takes weeks to get it fixed. The cardio equipment is fabulous, the gym is clean and the staff is great. the lack of certain things keeps the yelling weirdos with the jacked up trucks away, I love that. Two things I don't like and one I really hate. Firstly they need a bench press and a squat rack, the lack of normal squat rack is becoming more of a deal breaker the further I get along in fitness. but the thing I hate is the inescapable giant TVs with in particular news and "Fox News" on them.

If you spend more than 5 minutes watching the news every day and you aren't getting paid to do it then you are doing a lot of emotional harm and damaging your concentration for your professional job.

It’s fine, especially for the low price.
The equipment is great, but other guests rarely wipe down after using and I’ve never seen staff cleaning anything. The best staff there, hands down, is Jake, he’s so nice and genuine! And I wish the TVs were on different / non-news channels. We work out to decompress, not get inundated with the crappy state of the world!

The Loveland CO Planet Fitness Management team is totally useless. I have been complaining for months about the TVs and station signal that don't work properly. Just incredible the incompetence and nobody cares to quote Elon on 2 requirements, caring and competence. I keep asking for a number to call to correct the problem or to call the owner (but they refuse) or to have the owner call me (never happens). If I was the manager I'd have it fixed within a day. Yesterday the front desk lady didn't even look up from what she was doing and said we are working on it. Total disrespect!

Yesterday 3 TVs were down and black. Channel 5 CBS has had no sound for many months. Others often have static and crackling sounds while the voice sounds and phrases skip repeatedly themselves multiple times. Totally frustrating to watch anything while on the elliptical, treadmill or bike.

Several machines are often down for months like the leg curls and it doesn't seem like anyone tests or really checks, lubricates or otherwise verifies the proper functioning of machines say on a weekly basis. The club however is generally clean.

Ownership obviously could care less about clients and management it totally inept and useless. Planet fitness HQ should clean house and FIRE everyone.

They charge you an annual fee then don't honor the term annual. Don't try to take a break for a month then come back. They will charge you again. I did ask the employees at Loveland gym to assist. They said there is nothing they can do. I did speak to the manager and they said unfortunately they can't do anything. We currently hold 4 memberships there but will be decreasing that unless this situation is resolved. Staff is friendly but don't have any leway on resolving issues.

Recently took my elderly relative in to check out the gym and what they have to offer. My relative needed to use the restroom. We were told that bathrooms are for members only. I explained that we may join but at the moment needed a bathroom. Treating an older person like that is disgusting. I was stunned at the lack of empathy shown towards a potential member. Over all a good gym. The problem comes in when you are on a schedule and come in early in the morning. Multiple times front desk employee is sleeping in a chair off to the side or nowhere to be seen. This becomes a problem for black card members when we would like to use the hydro tables or tan before we start our day. I get it mornings are rough for all of us but I would like to be able to use the black card perks that I am charged for monthly. Maybe give the members access to setting times for the hydro tables and tanners once signed in. 🤷‍♂️

Asked to see ID to show proof I’m the person that uses the account, and once I tried to use my guest pass, they asked to see legal papers that I’m my siblings guardian. I watch as multiple people walked past me while they didn’t needed to be ID or asked for their membership.this has been the only gym that has does this. Cancelled my membership because they went from 24/7 to 24/4 (and they’re too dim to even realize they’re 24/4 as they put 24/5 on their door)

Also because theres some giant freak who tells everyone “have a blessed day” while also being very rude about closing (mind you, i signed up for a 24 hr gym. Its not my fault the owners dont actually care about the customers and only care about their bottom line.)

Sometimes you find out first hand the negative reviews actually have merit.
I am from out of state but have a black card that allows entrance ANYWHERE. This should be a no hassle no discrimination anywhere. I scanned in and then was stopped by the front desk man who told me I had to sign in as well because I wasn’t from there. He proceeded to tell me where I was from by reading it on his computer. Asked him why is that? You have all the information on your computer. He said he has to keep it all separate. Then said we are separate from……. I didn’t stay to listen to the rest. I just walked out. I have been to many states and I have been to many Planet Fitnesses who don’t feel or require members need to scan and then sign a paper.
Either everyone no matter where they are from local or not signs in old school style or everyone scans in to a computer. No discrimination period.

I cannot thank Blake enough for assisting with my membership today. I am facing financial hardship and, of course, at times like these…one must cut back significantly. My Planet Fitness membership was one of the things I thought I would have to cancel. I went into the gym to do so and Blake explained to me (and the employee currently in training) that I could freeze my membership for three months at a time at no charge. While most gyms typically charge a percentage or a flat fee per month for frozen memberships, apparently Planet Fitness does not. And that is a lifesaver for me because I did not want to cancel my membership at all; I simply felt I had no choice. Now I get a three-month reprieve from at least one monthly cost to hopefully help me get back on my feet financially. Blake, you’re awesome and I cannot thank you enough!!!

I switched bank accounts, and when I changed everything over, things got pretty messed up. I didn't know my bank info needed to be updated 10 days before my payment was due until someone told.me during this process. I updated my bank information a couple days before the day my payment was due, but the system showed that it was chnahed until the day of the payment. Either way, my payment came out of the old account, causing overdraft fees and a negative balance. I called the billing company, and they told me that they can't process refunds. I took care of everything with my banks and got it all squared away. Then, a few days later, I got a charge to my new account, so now I've been billed twice. I called this location instead of the billing company since they said they can't process refunds. I explained my issue to the person who answered, and then a manager got on the phone and explained that there was a refund being processed. I explained that the billing company said they couldn't do refunds and then asked the manager where the refund was going. The manager said, "Don't be rude," and hung up on me. I called back and talked to another associate. They let me go to call the billing company and then called back to tell me they are refunding both charges and canceling my membership. The reason he gave me for canceling my membership was not very clear to me. Something about that something like this has happened on my account before. he wouldn't elaborate or explain what he was talking about. I am not aware of any other things like this happening on my account so I'm just confused and without a gym membership.

Edit: I emailed the address given by the owner. They told me to call and leave my contact info for the Regional Manager to call me back. However, i am no longer able to get through to them on the phone and they say they can't help any further than that. So I still have no clue why my membership was canceled.

BEWARE of shady business practices. You have to come in to cancel your membership. Nope, you can’t do it online. Not in your membership portal. When you log in and navigate to billing, it says to call the gym. You call the gym and guess what? They say you have to come in-person or mail a certified letter to cancel your membership. As an owner of multiple businesses myself, I can attest to that these are terrible business practices, and totter on the edge of dishonesty and ingenuity. It’s unacceptable. Do NOT go to this location. Blake and Colin are immature children. They are the definition of what is wrong with this world. They think they can just ban people for asking questions, and if you offend them ohhh boy get ready for hellfire. At night I had no problems, the gym is clean and quiet at nighttime. But in the day I got my charger stolen right out of the locker room, but yet they insist that you bring your ID in for "verification purposes". Absolutely a joke. It is foolish that planet fitness has rules that apply at all locations, but only some enforce them. My girlfriend uses my guest pass and does not have a photo, and at hundreds of other locations across the country there has been no issue. Blake, however, thinks that this is unacceptable and ban-worthy.

y'all... dont go to this club. last night around 930 or so the experience was fine, courteous even! but this morning, the firing squad was manning the desk evidently. blake, somehow the operations manager, stopped me because i have a guest pass with no photo and demanded to see my ID (which i as well as many other people dont bring into clubs because there are literally signs ALL over the place saying to leave valuables at home). of the dozens of clubs ive been to with the same guest pass, i have never ever not once had to show any form of id. its highly inconvenient and pretty disrespectful to paying club members. so when i walked to the changing room to put my gym bag down in a locker, blake sent his best purple-jacket, amber, to FOLLOW ME INTO THE CHANGING ROOM, and continue to harass me about an ID!! i understood many many clubs have problems with theft (including this one given my boyfriends power bank and charger got stolen while the staff was too busy following HIM around the gym and into the changing room, and when he asked about it they said it wasnt their problem!) but to go after people like this is absurd and highly offputting. if you go to this club, avoid blake, collin, and amber. i didnt have the pleasure of meeting reed, their other manager at the store, so maybe he couldve given me some insight as to why they think this behavior is appropriate in a way that wasnt "you dont have a picture", which collin made sure to tell me about 25 times.
truly everybody, you will have a better experience at any other gym or at a different chain altogether. some clubs are fighting to have people walk in their doors and this club evidently only wants people out. disappointing and upsetting to say the least

As a very shy person, I find that the check-in process is the part of the gym experience I dread the most. I've found that usually it's not that bad, but I still dread going to new gyms because I never know what to expect.

When I tried checking in to this Planet Fitness for the first time, the manager literally brought me to tears. I've never felt so judged at a gym before, especially not within thirty seconds of meeting someone.

The location is lovely, the facilities seem really nice, and the full wall of windows is great. But I'd encourage the staff to remember that going to the gym, especially as a gym newbie (or returning-to-gym newbie), is a vulnerable experience, and just a tiny bit of friendliness goes a long way.

I love Planet Fitness; They helped me lose over 80 lbs and keep it off. Much of the staff has been consistent, friendly, and helpful.

The only real gripe I have is that when equipment breaks, it gets wrapped in caution tape like a crime scene, and then it can take weeks to fix. This bugs me because I fix things like these for a living, and it looks really, really bad, especially when there are only 1 or 2 of a machine.

You are a nationwide company and should be able to resolve this in a mere minute or two. Was planning on joining but since he is having trouble, I will go elsewhere. I will encourage him to go elsewhere also. Please get it together and avoid the frustration of someone driving to your gym to not be allowed to workout. More than two weeks ago I got covid 19 here! The doctor said make sure I clean equipment before I use it. Today I returned here, my friend and I took a water spray bottle and sprayed it on the handle of the treadmill than get the paper wiping it as the doctor said! Then the little boss she came and told me not to spray water on the machine handle but to spray it on paper before wiping it..!??? May I ask what's the difference?? ??? it not make broke anything!! I just want to do what the doctor said to avoid getting sick again !!! The little boss is too difficult. Perhaps my friend and I are thinking about whether we should look elsewhere???

I was greeted by really nice employees. The facility is great with plenty of various workout equipment and is kept very clean. The spa section is wonderful specially the massage chair/bed.

I've only been coming to this gym for 3 weeks. I work in the area so my daughter and I come to work out and enjoy the hydro massage bed😏 my favorite. The atmosphere is good and people tend to leave you alone but obviously, it's a gym, so you have jerks walking around judging everyone. Meh..what can you do. Lol.

Overall, Loveland's Planet Fitness is an amazing place to workout! With a black card membership being $20/month, it's hard to beat having access to massage and tanning in addition to loads of gym equipment...and access to other PF across the country. Loveland's facility in particular is clean, well-maintenanced, and full of friendly staff.

I really like this gym, but they recently changed their hours. Even the window outside reads “Open 24 Five” but this is not accurate. They’re only open 24 Four and I wish they would stay true to their word. I love working out at night and that one day makes a big difference to me.

Ok I never thought I’d write a review for a Planet Fitness, but here I am. I’ve been to a BUNCH of Planet Fitness locations— the main reason I have a membership is so I can use the gym when I’m traveling/moving around. Almost all of the other locations that I have been to have either been dirty, small/laid out super poorly, have really unfriendly staff, or some combination of all of those things. It’s something I’ve kind of learned to expect. This is the only Planet Fitness I’ve ever been to where none of that is even remotely an issue. The facility is consistently clean, the staff members are always super warm and friendly, and the layout makes it well-suited for peak busy hours. Corporate should take notes on whatever management is doing at the Loveland PF!

If i can give zero stars I would. I seen many bad reviews about the management at this establishment. Blake and Collin are the most unprofessional for years. Over charging my account and just being plain out rude. I wasn't the only one who had these same exact problems by reading these reviews. Yet they still work at Planet Fitness. Do not spend your money at this place as long as they are there.

Tried to work out during a lunch break for work. I don't carry gym clothes, but I usually use the treadmill or a few upper body machines to get a quick workout in if possible. I was told "those aren't workout clothes" and denied entry. 😂 are you serious? If I pay a membership here and want to work out in my work clothes and sweat, then there's no reason that shouldn't be allowed! I understand not using massage beds, etc, but my clothes aren't even dirty. Just a stuck-up employee up front with nothing better to do with his job. Do better planet fitness. "Judgement free zone" suuree.. unless you're not wearing whatever they consider to be the proper workout clothing. What a joke.

I have really been enjoying this gym. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Everything is so clean. It's never too crowded. The layout of the place + the lighting make me feel more comfortable and less "on the spot" while I'm working out. The TVs show news from left and right wing sources, movies, and a range of shows so there's something for everyone if that's your jam. All the patrons seem friendly and conscientious of wiping down equipment. Good vibes all around!

I give it a 2 for Planet Fitness in general. I pay for membership to mostly do red light therapy and tanning. Although I love the loveland location, there's maybe one employee that's has any customer service skills at all. They are rude a lot of the time and act as though it's an imposition to come start tanning Machine. Now this is for all planet fitness locations, I have been to locations all over colorado from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs and even outside of Colorado like Arizona, and they are all the same in cleanliness. I understand having customers clean the beds, but staff should still sanitize a couple of times a day. They are all very, very disgusting. I have to basically wipe the entire machine down, and I still feel gross once I get out. It's almost not worth the price. It takes me double the time to get color because the bulbs seem to never be changed. Lastly, the way they charge is almost fraudulent. I got the $1 for the first month, yet I was charged 4 days later and again a week after and then again 2 weeks later. I paid the yearly fee 2 times in a year. Read the small print, and depending on what you're going there for, it might be worth checking out other places and maybe paying a little more.

I am giving the BIGGEST shout out to my man Reed!! Thank you so much for being everything an assisted manager should be!

I recently had my credit card / account stolen in another state. I called a couple times because I was having issues with my black card membership. Long story short, it never got resolved and my monthly was being charged on a card that was closed. I called and spoke to Reed and he assured me that he would fix it and transfer me to Longmont’s Planet Fitness ( I just moved from Loveland to Longmont)

He was friendly, professional, personable, helpful, knowledgeable, smart, caring, compassionate and MORE! He made my day; I had to drive 45 minutes out of my way and he made it WORTH IT! I will miss this location due to the amazing customer service I received!!! Please, please give this man a meal ON ME! I will come back to see him because he helped me get my account back to active! I can now go back to my routine and it’s all thanks to HIM!!

CHEERS TO REED! You’re one of a kind and I hope to see y’all soon! This place gets five stars and beyond! Keep this crew around because they are ideal 👌🏻❤️❤️❤️🙌🏻

Putting their predatory buisness practice aside, Collin is an incredibly rude manager. Came in to cancel my membership and got interrupted by the manager, Collin, nonstop. I was completely baffled by him saying he "Didn't know what I came in for." Yes, sir, interrupting people tends to prevent you from knowing what they're talking about.
Some PF managers are good people that are actually passionate about making sure people reach their goals and have a good experience. This is not one of them. Get a membership at a non-chain gym or, at the very least, at a different location.
