I’ll add to the other one star reviews. This has got to be the worst gym closing I’ve ever seen, heard about and been a part of. No notice and how they treated their employees and clients was brutal. We were lucky because we were not on a long membership. This gym is part of Zone Fitness and my advice to anyone is to stay clear of this company and their gyms. We were able to get into 24 hour fitness and are very happy there. I have heard from so many other formers members who were treated so poorly when they tried to get out of their contracts. They use a company called peak payments and they are also a nightmare. If you look at their reviews they also only get 1 star.

I prepaid my membership and shortly after they shut down and now permanently. I have tried many times to get my money back with no responses. Someone please contact me for legal action as this is a clear breach of contract.

They closed, no one informed me. Had an annual membership paid up front. They refunded 2 months even though I had 2 months and 17 days. I asked about prorating the 17 days and was denied. They take your money easily but when they have to pay it back, it is a different story. Much better places to go to. Don't waste your time.

Used to love this gym, but they had my husband and I sign up for a year long membership and then closed shortly after that. Tried calling to get my membership cancelled/refunded, but they don't answer their phone, and I can't even leave a message because the mailbox is full. Really frustrating!

This gym shut down with 2 days notice. I reached out to the email address they provided, the YMCA, and their portal to cancel my membership and they continued to charge me for my membership despite my continued efforts to cancel after being shut down for months.

I have contacted legal representation as I've heard others have been impacted at a much greater level. If you also experienced this, please reach out to my Gmail.

See the other recent reviews Gym was court ordered closed and they continue trying to bill monthly by pushing people to the much smaller YMCA. Kept pushing that they were looking to reopen at another location but there has basically no updates.

Same experience as others. Gym was closed without notice and they continue trying to bill me monthly/annual fees, despite the next closest Prestige/Zone club being more than >20 miles away. Then come to find out they want to push me into a smaller, cheaper (unaffiliated) gym and charge me Prestige rates and annual club fees. Breach of contract anyone? Since the owner(s) have refused to respond to my emails/calls requesting cancelation and an explanation for the charges in question, and they are 100% in breach of the original contract, I have instructed my bank issue stop payment for all future charges and will be requesting a full refund of dues and fees taken from my account without my authorization. I strongly suggest others do the same, since their payment processing company is no help at all. If they ever get their act together and open another location, I will absolutely not return and cannot recommend it to anyone looking for a competent gym.

I certainly share the sentiments of all who were blindsided by the closure of the gym with two days notice, yet, in turn, they require 30 days notice of cancellation. I had over 9 workout sessions that are absolutely worthless and are in violation of their own contract if they cannot honor my sessions within 1.5 miles of my original purchase location. It’s been two months and no communication at all. My trainer cannot train me at the YMCA but would be happy to have me purchase additional sessions over there if I want to workout with him. Excuse me? Now they are saying I own THEM $793 and payment is due immediately. I am telling you what, if I get turned over to collections over this I will be ready for a law suit. Anyone else with me?

Management contacted me and appologized for how Peak handled the transaction. Zack listened to my complaints and offered to make it better.
Unexpected closure! Management could have given us warning of sudden closure. We were in at least 3x a week. Now we are searching for a new facility.

This is just unbelievable. You require 30 days notice to cancel but close within 2 days of giving members notice. You cannot tell me that "negotiations" with the landlord fell through and we're court ordered to close in 2 days. You had already closed Lakewood and the Centennial location and now Arvada. Also, membership dues were taken out the day, THE DAY, before closing. What a bunch of crooks. I think I feel most sorry for some of the employees who worked there who are now out of a job.

TO GET OUT OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP you only have to email peak payment with a signed lease (find online 😉) saying you are moving to a new address 25 miles away from this gym. I hope this helps other members like me!
They sold me a membership in the morning and that same evening released a letter saying the gym would be closing in two days. Now they won't let me cancel my membership even though I was sold the membership fraudulently with no information about the gym closing. But because I'm still allowed to use the gym in Aurora or Fort Collins technically I still have to pay my membership for two months and then give them 30 days notice to cancel. Meanwhile I'm out $300 for two days I got to use the gym.

I have been a member here since 2015, it’s a great gym in an ideal location. West Arvada, has an excellent demand for a great gym. Prestige used to be elite, but they let all the good trainers go and let the facility degrade. It’s really disappointing to think you’ve been helping build a great gym community in your neighborhood instead your gym is owned by someone who can’t figure out a lease. Imagine Kronke could build a gym, but can’t manage a lease. No notice closure is completely unprofessional and I want to give these guys a break. It’s really hard to figure out why people can’t run a gym. If you can’t or won’t manager a lease I’m not certain the new gym will be worth my time, money, or dedication.

Same experience as Dustin Smoot. They closed and I tried to cancel. They outsourced the cancelation process. I told them they shut the Gym down with no notice, so they broke the contract. That didn't matter to them. I beat them to the punch. I called my credit card company and told them the situation and I blocked debits. The outsource billing contacted me today and asked for payment. No way is that happening. lol. Too bad. I really liked the gym.

I was a member here for 8 years. It’s always been pretty run down and the staff has really been young. There were never towels and the equipment broke down all the time. The Treadmills literally had a charger for a gen 1 I-Pod. 😂😂. It was always a big joke to us. Anyway we stayed cause it was close, paid even when they closed in Covid.
The other day I showed up and there was a sign on the door saying we’re closed and you now can go to the YMCA. No call, no email, no notification except on the Ap when i searched I could find it mixed in with a bunch of other stuff. The YMCA is cheaper than their fees…. So I decided to cancel. Good luck with that! You can’t get anyone on the phone, when you do it’s a different company and they say sorry we can’t help we’re not the same company…. they have a script about 30 days notice and ultimately screwed me out of $150. I understand contracts but their practices are shady and oh, I never signed a contract, I was never given the option. The one they sent was blank. Then when pressed they sent a “signed” one which i didn’t sign. It said VABV on the signature line l, I’m assuming when i signed up over the phone the Manger filled that in without telling me the terms. I’m making this post because I’m sick of Scammers. I do not recommend this place. Very unprofessional, and I’d say unethical. And get your contract. Mine said 15 days AND I paid my last month when I enrolled.

Apparently under new ownership/management. They have reached out to me to offer a complimentary membership to see if their facilities have improved enough to edit my review. The offer and the fact that they are not the same owners is the reason for changing the review. I cannot legitimately review their location now, because I no longer live anywhere near them, but I can say that the invite is worth exploring for anyone reading this review.

In my lifetime, sports and running were my passion until I turned 50 and found myself not able to keep up with it — due to time and work constraints as well as a large family and me as the mother who holds it all together. I lost my motivation and my health suffered as a result.
I decided to purchase a six-month training program at my local gym to get back in shape, knowing that it would take time and tons of motivation, but that I was worth it. I was finding through menopause I was not as sure-footed as I used to be when I hiked and did normal outdoor activities prior. I also noticed my body was losing muscle mass and going through an aging process quicker than I was expecting.
Then I met Rebecca Reid – Super Badass Trainer – who looked at me as a whole person, mentally, nutritionally, and hormonally and turned my life around! I began training with her a few months back. She is educated in a way that lines up to my needs. She is driven to learn more about all topics as it pertains to health and shares her knowledge through data she uncovered through her studies. Rebecca takes the time to explain how nutrition, sleep, water, stretching, and hormones affect the body and how we can best combat obstacles with great workouts and monitoring! She is also my biggest cheerleader, is proud when I hit personal bests and walks alongside me in this journey as my north star, shining bright!
Since I began with Rebecca, I have added lean body mass and am beginning to understand how best to take care of my body holistically for a long active life. If you are looking for a transformational trainer that will treat you with respect and encourage you to achieve your goals, I recommend you meet with Rebecca today!

*Edit* To be fair, once Zach, the General Manager, became aware of the situation described below (as a result of him reading this review, mind you, not through his staff contacting him) he promptly and fully resolved the issue. It should not have risen to that level however. Therefore, I have increased the star rating, but I choose not to entirely remove the review since it is a factual recounting of events which resulted in unnecessary and considerable time, effort, and stress on our part. *Edit*

I've been a member since Day 1 including continuing to pay dues throughout the pandemic when we couldn't use the facilities. My spouse met with a trainer on Saturday and signed up for a training program. On Sunday, she decided to cancel and physically took a letter to the front desk to effect the cancellation. By law, one has 72 hours to cancel this type of contract as is clearly stated in BOLD print in the contract. Prestige/Zone failed to notify the trainer of the cancellation and the trainer sent her a program on Monday. They are now refusing to cancel the contact and charging her $800 for the initial "free" consultation with the trainer and because "a service has been provided in the form of the training plan." We will be reporting them to the BBB, and the Colorado Attorney General's Office and will see them in Small Claims Court if this matter is not promptly resolved.

I have been a member at this gym since 2021. This is the only gym that I have ever had a membership at where it is a COMMON OCCURRENCE for a treadmill to just STOP on you mid stride. There is no rhyme or reason to it. It could be any of the treadmills. One is essentially rolling the dice and risking an injury if utilizing a treadmill at this gym. Prestige, PLEASE stop being cheap and invest in new treadmills and protect your customers from injury and yourself from unnecessary liability. This has been an issue for multiple years now. I would give a one star if the rest of the gym was not decent.

02/22/2023
Prestige management has reached out to me on two separate occasions. They have stated that both types/brands of treadmills have been fixed by their maintenance team. The issue was something to do with a power switch that was loose and causing the treadmills to stop suddenly. I appreciate and respect the team at for Prestige taking this matter seriously and correcting the issue.

I’ve had a membership at this place pretty much since the day it opened. To be quiet honest, this gym is an absolute nightmare. The employee turnover rate is excessive. Most of the GM’s only last a month or two because the owners seams to be an absolute maniac. The equipment is all old out of date. You’re much better getting a membership at 24 or VASA. All and all, the majority of the issues start with who ever is running this place on the corporate side!! When I cancel my membership I was haggled like a used car sales person. Not only that, but they kept adding fraudulent charges on my credit card which I had to dispute.

Called to cancel my membership and was told a manager was going to call back. Never heard back. Days later was my birthday and the manager sends me an automated email to wish me a happy bday and of course trying to sell me more programs. I take advantage of his email and tell him I need to cancel my membership before the new month starts so I don’t get charge. He replies with “I need to do it in person” which is complete lie because my bf had cancelled his membership over the phone, no problem at all and after I told him that he never responded. Now I’m still being charge.. be careful what you signing up to this gym!! Go to Vasa Fitness! It has more machines and cost less!

Great gym. They recently got a bunch of new equipment. Added another Olympic platform and another cable station. Despite what other reviews have said, I’ve never noticed equipment down for more than a week, which seems reasonable to me given the need to order parts and what not. The manager and staff are always friendly and greet me by name when they see me. The other members are friendly as well and I never have any issues using/sharing equipment for my workout. Definitely recommend this gym over 24 Hour Fitness or anything else in the area.

This place is a joke. I originally had got a buy one get one membership and now that the contract has ended, they locked my brother into another year contract after we made sure everything was cleared. This place is a rip off artists dream come true.

Furthermore... I keep seeing reviews of how this place has up to date equipment and is very clean. What? Lol 😆 I want to know who is writing these reviews because they must be blind or written by one of the owners. The cable machines near the free weights have a layer of dust and inch thick on top. Also, the toilet in the picture has looked like this since COVID-19 started; maybe this is where it started because it looks like something is growing in it!! Trashes are always full as well. I used to work a gym and this is ridiculous for anyone's standards. AND! There are a couple handfuls of broken, worn down equipment.

Not to mention the lack of customer service from team members. Their more worried about chasing girls in the gym and eating their dinner at the front desk. One night I was checked in by someone I don't think even works there. BEWARE!!!! Not enough can be said to others to stay away from this gym!

I cancelled my membership over the phone and I was told “I’m all set” back in January. Two months later and I’m still getting billed. Called in March to discuss and get a refund but they have no notes about my cancellation request. Eric (the Fitness Manager) said he’ll cancel my membership immediately, and then said “and so we’re all good”. Eric was very rude and condescending when I tried to explain the situation. A few days later I was able to speak with the General Manager, Zach. He was very helpful and apologized for mistake and for the experience with Eric. I hope there is follow through, but I appreciated it. Other than that, I've had a good experience with the gym. The cardio equipment is outdated and I think they could use more free weight benches, but everything was clean and well-maintained.

Prestige Fitness has a pretty good workout facility, most equipment is up to date. The positives end there. What a nightmare of a gym membership experience. My wife and I were excited and we signed her up for a personal training 'spring promotion' for $1800, we were told in-person that was the total cost of the personal training sessions over 3 months. Turns out it was $5400 and they would not offer any refunds because we had a 'contract'. It is easier to break a contract in real estate than it is with these guys. The sessions were going well until we realized we had been lied to about the total costs. We sucked it up and made the most of it.

Next, our card on file was not active because it got lost after a few weeks without calling they sent my wife to collections, collections. Went to the gym in December and paid the outstanding balance. I also went to cancel our membership and was told everything was paid in full and that the memberships would end on December 31st. We had already paid for our final month when we joined the club. On January 7th they charged us for another month!!!! After 3 days of requesting a refund, they are giving us the run around. We don't have time to drive all the way back in that part of town but will have to. Could you guys process the refund? We tried to keep quiet about our experience but this was really bad to deal with in just 10 months.

I was a member for a while before the pandemic and I loved it here! It was such a reprieve for my son and I to come in every week. For me to be able to workout by myself and he loved the kids area! The girls in there were wonderful and treated him so well. The facility is immaculate and the staff was always willing to help with any questions. The staff member that helped me, Cassie Siegler, is always so upbeat and motivated to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this facility!

I joined Prestige 5 months ago, and it has turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. The gym is always sparkling clean, but more importantly, the staff is amazing. My trainer, Patrick, truly listens to my concerns, structures our training sessions to fit my goals, and adapts our workouts to accommodate my limitations. Every staff member is professional, friendly, helpful, and encouraging. Best fitness center in Arvada!

Amazing gym! The staff is super nice as are all of the members so you never have to worry about feeling out of place. It caters to the mega weight lifters, cardio junkies, (4 types of ellipticals, 2 types of bikes and treadmills and stair steppers, etc. - basically tons of equipment so you never have to worry about not getting on a machine), crossfitters, group class enthusiasts, and even your 90 yr old grandma/grandpa. :-) It's a very large facility so you always have your own space and they maintain excellent cleaning standards and was able to stay open during some of the harshest covid crackdowns. All in all, couldn't ask for a better gym, and trust me, I've been to lots.

All of the staff are super nice and they always make you feel welcome and appreciated. As a college student, they helped work out how to get the most of my money instead of squeezing what they can when I am around. The gym is never packed where I have to fight for a machine and its a great place to workout for any level of training.

Been working out here on a near daily basis for a few weeks now. My review may change over time but as of now this gym is great. There’s a lot of space, a plethora of equipment, and it’s only felt a little crowded once out of more than ten visits. There’s also proper deadlift platform which seems to be rare in gyms like this.

Added over a year later : I brought my review down to 4 stars because in the year we worked out here they had a fair bit of equipment that was under repair for long periods of time. If you happen to need that one piece of equipment it might affect you a lot. We continued to go and only canceled our membership when we moved though.

Extremely corrupt owner and staff. They don't return phone calls or emails. Equipment is always broken, there isn't a single stair stepper that doesn't make horrible noises and the locker rooms are disgusting. Great gym at a great price. Has a solid mix of free weights, circuit machines, and cardio, along with classes and cycling. The free weight section is by far my favorite, as they’ve even got an Olympic/power lifting platform.

Some people seem to be complaining about busted equipment but they’ve been quick to fix things when they break, and generally maintain the equipment pretty well. I’m guessing the people who complained here didn’t notify the staff, since they really care about their gym and seem receptive to feedback from members.

This gym has become run down. Machines break, I get that, but there is no money being put into getting things fixed. The monitors on the cardio have been broken for years. I’ve been a member since this location opened and have been very happy with this gym. Plenty of equipment, decent hours and very friendly staff. I’m pretty motivated and experienced when it comes to a workout so I haven’t used a trainer - can’t speak to that aspect. Otherwise, totally happy and got a great monthly rate that has been locked in for years. Never billing issues. My only gripe is that some of their towels are pretty worn and feel like sandpaper.

I've been a member for a while. If something breaks, don't hold your breath to get it fixed. They have towels but they are old and tattered. From time to time, the play the music so loud that when you're in there you can't even hear your own playback in your earbuds. All of these can be easily addressed, but they have shown no willingness or desire to tend to these items.

Can't wait for the new 24-Hour Fitness to open.

I initially wrote the review below. Not sure if it was read but since then, its been totally clean. I am there 4-6 days a week and have to say... they are doing a great job! I give them a five for sure

---------------------------

The staff is great and the equipment for the most part is fine. The issue I have is the lack of cleanliness. I have expressed this multiple times and it does not seem to be reciprocated. I literally gag sometimes walking into the locker room because it smells so bad. When I mention this to other members they all agree. When I mention this to management, I have been told that they don't notice it. If the gym was just cleaned regularly (like it should be) it would be great.

My rating is based on 3 factors, staff, the facility itself and the management. Staff first. I've been a member for almost 5 months. During that time I have seen a fair amount of turnover in the staff both in the managers and trainers level. High turnover is never good and can be an issue if you choose personal training. Sometimes the front desk is unmanned due to staffing issues and you never quite know who is the facility manager. Some good employees as well. I'd rate this are as NEEDING IMPROVEMENT.

Next, the facility itself. I think they have a good facility with newer equipment, group and cycling training rooms and a spacious lay out. The equipment is always available and I have never experienced overcrowding. I'd rate this area as MEETS EXPECTATIONS

Lastly, the management. This area includes the managers as well as the management processes and follow up. Management is the foundation for a successful endeavor but these folks miss the mark. First, they seem to have no process to identify and repair broken equipment or building components. Toilets, door handles, sinks, and at least one elliptical have been in need of repair for weeks. Feedback to the manager and general manager do not help. I understand stuff breaks but being without hand wipes for weeks or waiting 5 weeks for water filters to be replaced is just poor management. Finding a urinal that won't flush and reeks of urine is not something that should go unnoticed.

Next is their ordering process. I just mentioned how both water fountain filters have been in need of replacement for the place five weeks. A water filter in the red zone for 5 weeks raises at least some question on water quality. In addition the sanitary equipment wipe dispensers have been empty for one month of the last 5 months. To be fair someone did go and buy Clorox wipes from Kings but these ran out as well. I personally wipe down all the equipment after I use it because it is a gym rule and because I perspire. To not provide wipes is unsanitary and unhealthy. In my opinion this is because the entire staff is not responsible for ensuring that the facility is maintained. It's not the trainers job to replace the wipes or wash the towels so the task falls on whom? In short I rate management as POOR AND IN NEED OF IMPROVEMENT.

I will need to make a decision about my future as a gym member. I will stay until my personal training is complete. After that I'd say it's 50/50 whether I remain at Prestige. Perhaps this kind of performance is acceptable to some. For me though all this suggests management that has no experience running a gym OR has cash flow problems. Both are troubling to me

Not clean and poor management!

This gym has broken equipment, poor staff and even poorer management. The workout classes are never what they say they are or at the times that are posted. The towels (if there are any available) are torn and stained with dirt and yellow sweat. Black dirt washes off your hands in the sink after using their equipment. This gym costs $50 dollars per month! Not the type of treatment or experience that I look for in any gym regardless of pricing.

If I could give this place a zero I haven't been to this facility in over a year. Then I get a phone call from a collection agency saying that I owe prestige fitness money I don't even live in Colorado. I canceled my membership well over a year ago (I THOUGHT)!!!! Long story short never got a phone call saying I owe them money. I would've been more than happy to just pay it but they decided to just send it to a collection agency and try ruining my credit I will never ever ever use this facility in 1 million years!!!!!!!

After figuring this stuff out I thought a month ago and paying prestige fitness. A month later I'm still getting phone calls from a collection agency after they told me that it was their mistake and they got it figured out and they contacted the collection agency. I probably spent more than 10 hours just on the phone contacting them waiting for a manager to give me a call never called me back. This place is absolutely awful. I have great credit last thing I want to do is ever is ruin my credit this place is just awful.

Don't waste your time here! First off they charged me a different rate than my brother who is a member there. They wouldn't give me the same price he had and they were going to charge me more fees than my brother. I got roped into a personal trainer who said " I know when your here, when your in the locker room and how often you are here". In order words they were going to watch my every move. I just wanted a place I could workout on my own time and schedule. I ended up going to cancel my membership 24 hours later because they kept calling me about scheduling sessions I didn't ask for. I've asked the manager to call me back at least 5 times regarding the refund I was promised and have never received a call back. Poor management

Have a really high turn over of staff trainers which makes it extremely hard to stay motivated. They don't seem to care about them as employees. I get an icy cold business vibe from the place. Also they don't have other locations besides centennial so you can't easily pop in somewhere else to take a class if you are out running errands or coming from work. Closest gym to my house so it is convienent, and the place is clean with a nice locker room and sauna spot, but If i hadn't gotten a super special on black friday (have them just after new years too) I wouldn't bother staying.

The customer service experience at the Arvada location has been completely awful. The first time I went in there were no membership staff available and the front desk person essentially sent me away and told me to come back later. I went back later to enroll and the membership staff had no time to work with me and had to 'run an errand' and was in a huge rush. He took no time to explain membership information to me and told me it had been a really busy day and he was exhausted. He told me to leave my name and number on his desk on a piece of paper and that he'd call back. He never called back. So I've tried to join the club on two occasions and have had no success = terrible experience!

I am not a member. I came in today to sign up and check it out. It is in a strip mall with an ACE on one side and Massage Envy on the other. It is very very nice and new and clean inside. But when I got to the front counter they had me fill out 2 forms with personal information including address, phone, DOB, marital status... all before they would talk to me about the gym. The staff at the front counter are friendly but do not know the hours and will not show you around OR discuss pricing. Apparently there is a membership person and apparently you need an appointment. I gladly showed myself around which takes 10 seconds because you can see everything from the front counter. Everything but the insides of the locker rooms. I was seriously disappointed with the small size and minimal equipment. Also disappointed that coming in to join was a huge inconvenience to the staff. I'll drive somewhere else.
