I have been a Pure Barre client with Boulder for a little over a year now and I take classes about 4x per week. I love this studio and the instructors are amazing! They are great at communication and checking in with you. Each class provides a safe and supportive environment, and I look forward to coming to each class!

I’ve been going to Pure Barre - Boulder since 2012. All of the teachers and class formats are so exceptional that I often tell people the program will change your body and your life like you never thought possible - if you go often enough and stick with it. At every PB class, I get a fantastic, low impact workout that also doubles as my physical therapy where I can both strengthen and stretch my (once injured) right hip and low back so I can live a healthy, pain-free life. Thank you Pure Barre - Boulder!

So, I originally started taking these classes to support my sister who was trying to get in shape. I came once a week with her. That was almost 3 years ago. Now, she quit taking classes over a year ago and I come twice a week. This is on top of lifting weights twice a week and then doing a bunch of other sports depending on the season. Why? Why do I come here when clearly I do a lot of other exercise and it’s not cheap? Because these classes combined with everything else I do have made me fitter and stronger than I’ve ever been, and they are amazing physical therapy for those chronic injuries that just keep bothering you forever. Highly recommend.

The Boulder studio and staff are unbeatable. Great locations with a view of the Flatirons, amazing staff who challenge and celebrate you, a community of kind members, easy parking, and RESULTS (if you are consistent and show up for yourself 3+ times a week, which is easy to do considering all of the above). Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Pure Barre Boulder is my happy place! The environment and the community Pure Barre offers is enough reason to give it a try if you’ve been thinking about it! Pure Barre is a fun and humbling workout and there are many formats to try that focus on different targets for your body. I enjoy the Classic format, it has helped me strengthen my ankle after recovering from a broken ankle. Shoutout to the GM, Timmi, she is so accommodating and you can really tell she puts her heart into this studio!

LOVE pure barre and love this studio in particular! I’ve been doing pure barre for over 10 years, and it is by far the best low impact full body workout out there (and the best barre or pilates class by far). There are several different class formats to help you get a well rounded workout, but they’re all just the right amount of doable and challenging, and all low impact (injury friendly!). The atmosphere and staff are super welcoming, and the instructors are incredibly supportive and helpful with cheering you on, helping you learn proper form, and offering personal modifications if needed. I’ve been at this studio for about 3 years and love it. They’ve helped me recover from multiple knee surgeries, and while the class formats are familiar, each one is different so even after a decade of these classes, I’m not bored! I highly and regularly recommend pure barre. 🤩

Pure Barre Boulder is my home and healthy healing place! Seven years and I still feel challenged and stronger everyday! Thank you, Boulder PB! Here's my review from 4 yrs ago that still rings true: What a wonderful community and place to get stronger! I've never enjoyed indoor workouts until Pure Barre Boulder! Now I even go on sunny days! Three days per week and you will love the way you look!!!!

I started going to PBB with no previous barre experience, but wanting to try something new and step outside my comfort zone. It's now become my go-to place when I need a mental break from every day life and take some time for me. Instructors and staff are awesome - friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging while the classes are low-impact but still butt kicking. I would recommend anyone to give PBB a try no matter the age or exercise experience :-)

Pure Barre Boulder has been a great place to work out. I had not done regular classes before but everyone was so welcoming and helpful. One of the amazing things about Pure Barre is that their are formats for everyone and the schedule works well for someone who can have an unpredictable work schedule.

Absolutely love this studio. The staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming and other students are always very friendly; it’s a great community. I’m such a fan of the fact that they have various types of blended workouts all under one roof (classic barre, strength, cardio, yoga, Pilates reformer). I definitely noticed a huge difference in how I felt and looked within a month of going 3x a week.

Pure Barre has quickly become my favorite workout studio in Boulder. Their teachers are friendly and effective, everyone is so welcoming, and they create a really strong sense of community. After only coming to a few classes, I was greeted by name and guided through subtle yet challenging workouts by the instructors who gave me personalized attention. The studio's cleanliness adds to the overall positive environment, allowing me to focus solely on the workout. When I reached my 100th class, the entire staff made me feel so special and celebrated 🥺 The workouts themselves are incredibly effective and I love that because they are low-impact, I feel like I can conquer a workout even if I'm not feeling 100% before coming in. If you're looking for a fitness studio that delivers results while making you feel part of a supportive community, Pure Barre is the perfect choice.

Pure Barre Boulder is awesome! The team is so welcoming and kind. This is a really challenging (and fun) workout - but the instructors always offer support and modifications. I have done a lot of workout classes in my day, and the nothing compares to the results I see from Pure Barre. The owner is super friendly and you can tell she loves what she does. I can't recommend this studio enough!

I've found that returning to barre has helped me find my center and ground myself. I've had two spine challenges in my life: a car accident a few years ago that broke some ribs, and a rare cyst lodged in the foramen of my spine, just earlier this year.
After the car accident, I discovered PureBarre, and this class with Mish & Shalisa, and they both helped me strengthen my core + whole body. This allowed me to get back to running and cycling, which I love, and am forever grateful. Now that this studio is under new Management, ALL of the instructors are amazing!!
Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with a cyst in my lumbar spine, which prevented me from moving. Until this was discovered I spent hours at a time (5+) sitting in a hot tub to manage the intense pain...much less working out.
While it's important to give the body time to heal, too much inactivity can also be harmful. Now that I'm cleared to start be active again, I immediately returned to barre. This class once again (with ALL their instructors) is helping me rebuild my physical strength and flexibility, as well as my mental well-being.
Even though I never took Ballet as a child... returning to the Barre helps me find my balance. #MyHappyPlace

Even with years of barre experience I was a little intimidated by Pure Barre, until I walked in. Ella was so friendly when I arrived, and every one of the 4 instructors I’ve had since my first class were welcoming, supportive, and offered hands-on adjustments at exactly the moment in class I most needed it (are they psychic or just *really* good at their jobs?)
Finally, the community is so warm. Each class I’ve taken the woman next to me has been friendly and as supportive as the instructor. Being in a room of mostly women (there have been a couple men in class which is great :) lifting each other up is such a magical experience.

Having taught and practiced in fitness studios nationwide for over twenty years, I have never been compelled to write a negative review: until now. New to the area, however not new to barre as I have taught and been practicing a variety of styles for close to twelve years, I signed up for a package at Pure Barre. I'd taken one free introductory class and was hopeful that Pure Barre would be a place I would enjoy attending regularly. After paying for a series, I took a few more classes and it became clear that the exercises and sequencing were aggravating medical issues related to my hips and back that significantly have been helped by all other styles of barre classes I've ever practiced! I realize that what works for one body, may not work for someone else. However, I think it merits pointing out that unlike other barre studios where teachers demonstrate the postures and walk around to offer helpful corrections around alignment, in the four classes I attended at Pure Barre, only one instructor came by in one class to show me how to perform one of the exercises. It seemed that it was assumed by the other teachers that the students just knew what to do!
When I reached out to cancel the series based on Pure Barre not being a good fit for my body, and ask for a refund on the classes remaining - I was perfectly fine with paying for those classes that I'd attended - I was told no refunds, not even for medical reasons. Implicit in this business model that to my mind and experience is unjust is that Pure Barre's self interest preempts authentic care for those who attend their studios.

Pure Barre was awesome! The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. The studio is airy and bright, with everything well-organized and new. The teacher gave a good warmup before diving into barre class. It was a great workout that you could feel deep in your muscles. The pacing was fluid and just as you felt like you couldn’t do an exercise for a second longer we would switch the the next one. It was a challenging, full body workout with fun music and a nice feeling of camaraderie in the class.

I have bone on bone arthritis in both knees and two torn rotator cuff‘s. I was worried this work out would hurt my joints.
I was surprised that it didn’t. The only part of me that sore is my butt. I’m 67 years old and in pretty good shape. This will make a great addition to my workouts especially in the winter.
The only thing that I did not like was the loudness of the music and the fact that the teacher had her microphone way to close to her mouth and was difficult to understand. Otherwise I really enjoyed it.

All the teachers are great and I feel stronger after going for just a few weeks. High energy, fun music, and while the general structure of the class doesn't vary, the individual exercises are never quite the same. Always working a slightly different muscle even if you go to class in consecutive days.

While I enjoyed the exercise classes at this studio, I highly encourage anyone considering joining Pure Barre to be wary of their "New Client Special". They claim it is only $99 to try an unlimited month of barre however, they also sneakily enroll you in auto-pay and charge you for a membership for the following month without warning. Upon confronting the studio owner about the possibility of a refund (I was leaving town and would not even be able to use the second month membership I was charged for) I was told the "membership agreement is very detailed regarding the autopay terms". There was absolutely no information on the website, my online account, or in the studio outlining the details of this deal and explaining that by "trying it out" for 1 month you were actually committing to paying an additional $145 for a second month. Additionally, when I asked the owner for a copy of the contract I signed in studio after purchasing my $99 New Client Special (the contract that presumably described this "detailed agreement") she did not give it to me, therefore I have zero evidence that the second month charge was even legitimate. I was told there was no possibility of a refund or studio transfer and felt my situation was handled with very little sympathy. Unfortunately, it seems that this studio places money over customer satisfaction and is incapable of providing its customers with adequate verbal clarification or written documentation explaining the details of their memberships.

I was invited by a friend who trains at Pure Barre. The place was clean, tidy and well laid out. The staff on the desk very friendly and welcoming. I was the only man in the class, but this didn't prove to be a problem or an issue. Coach Hannah led the workout and was friendly, encouraging and super nice. She took time to make sure I was doing everything right and corrected my form when it wasn't. The workout was hard, but scaling options were offered. I am not sure what the class I did was called, but it was a hybrid core & full body workout. I expect that tomorrow, I'll either have buns of steel or I won't be able to walk. Possibly both :-)
I would thoroughly recommend Pure Barre, Boulder if you are after a full body, low impact workout.

The Pure Barre staff on 29th Street has been friendly and welcoming from the moment I stepped inside. They helped me pick the right classes packages for me and are always willing and excited to answer any questions I have. Each instructor that I have introduced myself to has remembered my name and always makes a point to say hello to me. It is an amazing community and I am so glad I am a part of it.

Great studio and consistently positive, welcoming, and upbeat attitude from everyone there, including front desk staff, teachers, and clients alike. I’ve loved every teacher I’ve had here, especially Hannah, and you get the same high quality instruction from every teacher but with their own individual style so it never feels like you’re doing the exact same thing twice.

I have always run for my workout but over the last few years have been plagued with nagging injuries. After countless massages, foam rolling, PT sessions and other methods of healing, it turns out Pure Barre was what I needed to stay injury free. Pure Barre works all of the small stabilizing muscles that keep me running strong. It's now an essential part of my workout.

I am an avid Pure Barre goer - in Mill Valley, CA. I LOVE the classes and am convinced that they have improved my cycling and running, not to mention my shape. My son knows how much I love the program and the instructors, so he bought me a gift card. He thought that I could use it in California. Beware, each franchise is individually owned, so gift cards cannot be used in other locations. Disappointed, I called the Boulder studio and am very happy to report that Shalisa promptly resolved the issue for me. I very much appreciate her professionalism and accommodation. Although I have not taken a class in Boulder, I will bet that they are every bit as awesome as the classes in Mill Valley, and the benefits can be put to good use with Boulder's amazing surroundings.

As a former dancer, it is very hard to find a workout that comes anywhere close to taking a dance class in terms of toning and enjoyment. Pure Barre is just that! You will get an amazing workout that's enjoyable. I love the teachers and the space in Boulder. Pure Barre is popping up all over, but the Boulder studio is still the nicest that I have been to. It is more spacious than most and the views of the flatirons are breathtaking. Go try a class....I guarantee you will become addicted!!!
