I've been a gym rat for many years and decided to get back into powerlifting with a sprinkle of crossfit at the age of 48. I had plateau'd on my fitness journey and was ready to change things up. I wanted to ensure I felt safe and worked with coaches that were trained and certified.

Well I got that and MORE when I found Rigar! In just 3 short months I have PR'd most of my lifts, my joints feel better, and I look forward to every class.

The coaches are bar none some of the BEST I have come across. They are SO good on coaching technique but also care about creating connection and community. There is nothing that will help you be more consistent in a program then doing it along side friends who are cracking jokes along the way. And almost all of them have great music taste ;)

No matter your age or skill level, this is the place to plant your roots!

Y'all listen here - I've been doing CF for almost 15 years, been through like 6 home base gyms, dropped into tons more around the country, so I know the deal. I don't leave a review unless I mean it, and RIGAR is a cream-of-the-crop Denver gym. 🏋️‍♀️

The vibe is chill, inclusive and flexible while still being invested in your success. The coaches clearly care about the space and the members. They put in the work and conversations to get to know you. The warmups are thorough, the programming is solid, there are social events a-plenty inside and outside the gym — it's a real community-first place, not cliquish. I only wish I could bring this gym with me when I move. 🥲🫶 Love you guys!!

Amazing place! The facility is new and such nice equipment. But the main star is the coach’s and owners. They made me feel so welcome and appreciated. Even though I don’t work out as much as some of the others there I felt like I was part of the community. I would recommend this gym to anyone looking to improve their life and fitness goals. The sauna and cold plunge were a nice addition. Coach Mikey will guide you and make you feel like he is your personal coach even though the classes are around 10-15 people.

I've been doing CrossFit for a little over seven years. And this is now my fourth gym, one close because of Covid, the other one I left because the owner was a pretty good coach but he was just an ass to a lot of people. Then I was at another gym that was really a great gym, but it was for people who have advanced skills, can lift a lot of heavy weight, and as one of the coaches said that they come in there to lift heavy sweat and look good naked. I am an older guy and I like lifting heavy weight and someday I hope to look good naked, but I'm not an RX athlete and it was a tough decision to change, I did my research and I've been at Rigar for about eight months.

First thing that I was most wanting was quality coaching, not micro management but you know coaches are watching you and making adjustments as needed and that your technique is good and safe. Poor technique, and just lifting heavy creates injuries which I had at my last gym. They spend a significant amount of time doing good warm-ups and proper mobility before each day, so critical to staying healthy!

I have been working on my double unders for literally seven years, when I was at my last gym I figured out basically on my own or through online videos and was able to string together 10 or 15, but it still wasn't clicking because it wasn't consistent that we worked on it, or that we were coached on it. Three weeks ago I did 40 unbroken which is kind of a big deal for somebody who is 60 years old and struggled with these, point being is there's a lot of skills that if you only do them every once in a while you will never learn them, they make a strong effort that on these core skills They are done on a regular basis, that also includes gymnastics and other accessory movements

The community. You hear that a lot, but what does it mean, some gyms like my last one do a few social things a few times a year which they're fun, but not on a regular basis to where you really get to know people. Not at this gym, there are always announcements of at least two or three things going on every month. There was 16 athletes competing at a competition last weekend, but they closed classes for that day and the amount of support was pretty incredible for those athletes competing. They do several events a year for charity, and get this, even free clinics, who does that anymore? Rigar does because they care and it's not just about making sure the coaches are paid, they get paid by creating loyalty and word-of-mouth, and I've learned so much in the short period that I've been there

CrossFit is for everybody, but not every gym is for everybody, this one is. Class sizes are sometimes big but on average they are definitely manageable. They also have a completely different strength program which I've still yet to figure out how to integrate but it's not Just Olympic lifting it's accessory work and focusing on progression and technique. Those classes are always full, because they don't have to ride the echo bike and do double unders or go upside down 🤣

If you're new to CrossFit, highly recommend this gym, if you are an RX athlete, you will get your ass kicked and you will get strong stronger.

Rigar has the best programming and coaching I’ve ever experienced! The cherry on top is that the coaches and gym members are so friendly. I didn’t have any CrossFit experience and very little lifting experience before coming here, and they’ve been so technical in teaching me how to do the movements correctly. In the 2-3 months I’ve been at Rigar, the weight I’m able to lift keeping increasing. I’m loving it - highly recommend giving it a try.

There's not a single downside of this place—just great vibes all around and I leave happier each class. Programming and coaching are both top notch for any skill level, recovery resources with Dr. Abby and Dr. James are fantastic and conveniently located right at the gym, and every human is friendly.

I have been doing CrossFit for almost 10 years and hit a plateau a few years ago with feeling like I wasn't learning anything new and for the first time in my life, I wasn't interested in going to the gym. I was burnt out and decided it was time to try out other outlets like pilates and running and then I joined RIGAR and was blown away with the variety of class offerings, the new skills I was learning, and the flexibility to come in during Open Gym hours on certain days when my work schedule made it too hard to make class times (even though there are so many class time offerings—the flexibility to come during open gym hours was a massive game changer for me). The community they've built is also so fun to be a part of and welcoming that I now love going to the gym again and feel like each day is different. I am so grateful for this place and would recommend it to anyone!

This is the best CrossFit and strength gym I’ve ever been a part of. The program by Mikey is impeccable and always explained well to us. The owners Mikey and Sandra do a phenomenal job helping people. They are always around and always accessible. The gym is spotless clean and the equipment is always kept up to date. Every month new equipment is purchased to help members get the results they are looking for. Dr. James and Dr. Abby are great at helping repair soreness and any medical problems that I have had. Programming is elite, went from being a skinny twig back into fitness close to where I was at in college.
People here are top tier & some of the friendliest faces you’ll meet in this city.
Filtered water at the fountain tastes almost as good as smart water.

I can't say enough great things about this gym. I'll start with the obvious – the facility, equipment and programming are next level. The gym has this dope black and white aesthetic which makes you feel like you’re working out with the big dawgs (I can’t explain it, it’s just a feeling haha). The equipment is new and top quality and Coach Sandra always keeps the gym sparkly clean. The programming is on another level (Kudos to Coach Mikey - vibes). I’ve been doing CrossFit for 8 years now and it wasn’t until joining this gym that I felt my previously plateaued PR’s truly take off. In my short 8 months at this gym, I have broken several new PRs! Now on to the best part, the community. It is magical. It is the unicorn you are desperately searching for. It is all the good, friendly, amazing vibes you could ever want or need. Look no further because this group of people is IT. I struggled to find my people when I was in my mid-20's and I can confidently say this gym has filled that hole in my heart. I’ve been a member of a number of Crossfit gyms and dropped in on boxes across the country and Rigar is an exceptional gym. The facility is clean, the equipment is new and in good condition, and (perhaps most importantly) the coaching is excellent. All of the coaches carry deep expertise and are very engaged in pushing athletes towards better form and better outcomes. I've dropped into Rigar a handful of times over the past 6 months and can't say enough good things about the gym as a whole. From the cleanliness and organization of the space, to the extremely knowledgeable and friendly coaching staff, to the friendly and welcoming members. I've been in the CrossFit space for over 12 years and this gym checks all of the boxes you would want in a gym. I have thoroughly enjoyed their Strength classes as someone who's been taking a break from high intensity exercise for a while. The thought and attention that goes into their programming is apparent and I always leave the gym feeling like I got an amazing workout but am not overly taxed for the rest of my day. Whether you are looking for a gym to get started your fitness journey started at or have been in the workout scene for a while, I can't recommend this gym enough!

Rigar is my second CrossFit gym and I honestly hope it's my last. Sandra and Mikey have made magic here and I never want to work out anywhere else!

Mikey's programming is intentional and feels like a fantastic balance of varied and progressive. You always know what you are working on and building up to for each cycle.

The coaching is top tier and you can tell all of the coaches know not only the CrossFit standards for each movement but also the body mechanics behind them. I have never felt so safe and confident in pushing myself to my limits than I have with Sandra, Mikey, and James because they give such thorough instruction and feedback.

The space feels open and bright which I love because a lot of CrossFit gyms feel dark and dingy. Coming in to such a welcoming space helps me get into the right headspace to go hard every morning.

They offer traditional CrossFit, strength classes, personal training, weekly yoga, and plenty of laughs. And you can't help but smile when intern Luke is around!

Since joining this gym in April I've made as much progress in my strength, confidence, form, and mental toughness during workouts as I made in a year at my old gym. And I did heavy lunges without pain for the first time in over twenty years thanks to the smallest of tweaks to my form from Sandra.

This is also the first gym I've been in where their inclusivity feels truly genuine and not performative. Everyone is truly not only welcome but celebrated here.

I can't wait to keep learning and growing with this incredible community of kind and welcoming pride people!

I just joined this gym and LOVE it!

What makes RIGAR special is the coaching - dedicated and technical, you will come here to be better and be motivated! The community and people are very nice and inclusive as well and I find the vibe check here to be positive, motivating, helpful, and challenging (challenging in the best possible way!) even things like “nasal breathing only while on echo bike” are built in to the programming as well as “descend for 3 seconds and hold” types of things are in place to make you stronger and build discipline and good form.

I like the programming and the thought out into the variety of classes as well - I’m loving the dedicated Strength classes to complement CrossFit. Big bonus: There are also sports health pros in the building should you need PT or chiro work - super convenient for that as well.

Overall 10/10 - Amazing gym, so glad I joined!

If you are looking for a gym that also focuses on community, look no further.

While here for work trip, I popped into Rigar Performance and felt incredibly welcomed by the staff and the members. Several of the members noticed I was new and approached me to introduce themselves and welcome me. The coaches also took the time to provide alternatives to various exercises and are knowledgeable in programming for all levels. The coaches and the other members made it a great experience and I felt immediately comfortable and welcomed by all.

Highly recommended checking Rigar Performance and all it has to offer.

My fiance and I moved to RIGAR from our previous CF gym in search of stronger programming which would support more competitive training.

We have been so thrilled by that and much more at RIGAR.

First, the programming is really well thought out and deliberate. We both are grateful to be able to do the CF classes and then go straight into the Strength classes to supplement the metcon work with additional lifts and accessories. Mikey is really well equipped in creating the programming for the gym and can very clearly explain the micro-cycles and intended stimuli of each.

In addition, we have found really wonderful people leading the space. Sandra, Mikey, and James have all been wonderful and incredibly supportive of our goals. As a bit more advanced athlete, I still receive ample coaching from each of them, and I also notice the intense detail and care they show to any member regardless of physical fitness level.

They have been incredibly supportive of local social action projects and lifting up their members and community.

We feel very lucky to have found RIGAR and have enjoyed watching it grow even in the mere month we've been members!

I have been a member of a couple Crossfit gyms and Rigar is the highest quality gym I have attended. The gym is clean and outfitted with new equipment. The coaches are friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. The culture is very easy to fit into and friendships with other gym-goers is quickly establisted. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Also I don’t know why this matters, but the lighting in the gym is fantastic and always sets me in a better mood. I don’t know why I notice this or why it matters to me, but it does and I love it.

In short Rigar Performance is great gym whether you choose to do their Crossfit Programming, or if CF isn't your thing, their Strength Programming is just as comprehensive. (they also sprinkle in some yoga throughout the week)

Definitely one of the best warm-ups, to prepare you for the workout, I've experienced in group based fitness. The best part is even during the workout they're not just cheering you on, they're helping you individually to make sure you're doing movements safely so you can get the most out of the workout.

If you're looking for something a bit more challenging outside of the boutique gyms in the area, that also does a great job of building a community, than this is the place. Great people doing some great things.

I’ve been to several CrossFit gyms over the years, and RIGAR is at the top for so many reasons.

Sandra and Mikey are both top notch coaches - they’re incredibly knowledgeable about accommodations for injury, programming, and providing support to meet your fitness goals.

Mikey’s programming is stellar. There’s both crossfit and strength programming, and both work with each other throughout the week for an awesome workout program week to week. The strength programming is great for those who like to train more traditionally, which I love, and there are always supportive movements for the main movement of the workout.

Sandra, who manages the gym, is the loveliest human. She’s professional, supportive, and such a pleasure to be around.

These two have truly created a welcoming environment for anyone and everyone to get active, whether experienced or new!
