I have been going to RMA for several years now. I usually go to the Barbell Club (olympic lifting focused) which has been life-changing to say the least. I never thought I would be someone who could do a snatch but here I am. Everyone here is so amazing but Hart is truly what makes this place special. For a long time my goal was to just show up, I didn't really care about performance and not once did I feel judged for this mindset. I have always been welcomed by everyone here no matter what. Now I am in a better place mentally and I feel ready to really focus on getting better and stronger. I also love the community aspect of this gym, there are lots of opportunities to get together for non-fitness things and I think it speaks to the vibe of this place that so many people are friends and want to get together outside of the gym.

I joined RMA back in 2019 when I first moved to Denver. I tried out a few different gyms, but this one easily stood out above the others. The coaches and members are super welcoming to everyone of all fitness abilities. The programming is scalable for someone who has been doing CrossFit for years or someone who just walked in the door yesterday. The coaches are experienced, knowledgable, prioritize safety/form and care about each person's fitness goals. RMA asks for specific member feedback a few times throughout the year, showing they prioritize our input and want to make it the best experience for us all.

The members are also amazing and supportive, which makes me motivated to show up even on days when I'm not feeling it. I've made some great friends that I hang out with outside of the gym too.

Couldn't recommend RMA more to anyone who is looking for a new gym or to try out functional fitness for the first time.

I joined RMA in February after moving to Denver. I swear I tried every gym in Denver before finding RMA. I love everything about RMA. They offer both classes and open gym. The coaches are very knowledgeable and make the classes fun. I have seen significant improvements since joining this gym. I cannot recommend it enough. My favorite part of the gym is how they make lifting weights accessible for everyone. You can scale every movement if you need to. They make newbies to the gym feel very comfortable.

I walked into this gym scared of deadlifts because I hurt my back. I can now deadlift twice my bodyweight for reps with no pain. This gym kicks ass.

Rocky Mountain Athletics (RMA) is truly the best gym community I’ve ever been part of. The people here are incredibly welcoming and friendly — you feel at home from day one. The workouts are consistently challenging in the best way, and the owner does an amazing job programming sessions that push you while still offering smart, scalable options for every skill level. I always leave feeling stronger and supported. Highly recommend RMA to anyone looking for a great workout and an even better community!

A month into the COVID shutdown, I was going to lose my mind if I had to do another yoga on demand video. I googled CrossFit personal training and Hart at Rocky Mountain Athletics was the first to pop up. July 6, 2020, was my first 1:1 with Hart and I’m about to hit my 1000th workout there. I love the personal training because as my goals have changed, we’ve always been able to adjust the workouts- whether it was losing fat/gaining muscle, preparing for a local CrossFit competition, training for a Hyrox, or getting ready for a marathon, Hart always has a plan. And if a 1:1 session isn’t possible because of my work schedule, I’ll either do a class which is great or Hart will write me a workout (which he also does when I’m traveling so I can keep the workouts up from hotels). He’s also been SO great in helping me get my nutrition on track.

I can’t recommend RMA enough- whether you’re looking for a community of great people, a place to push yourself and learn new skills, or just a good workout to stay on track, there’s no better place.

I can’t say enough great things about RMA! From day one, all of the coaches have been incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive. They take the time to understand everyone’s individual fitness levels and goals, making sure you move safely and with proper form while still challenging yourself.

Every workout feels purposeful, combining strength, conditioning and skill work in a way that keeps things fresh and fun. I’ve gotten noticeably stronger since joining and I love that I can see measurable improvements week after week.

Of all the gyms I’ve been to, none have matched the sense of community I’ve found at RMA. From my very first class, every workout has felt like training alongside friends who genuinely want to see you succeed. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or brand new to functional fitness, this gym creates an environment where you can grow, challenge yourself, and truly enjoy the process.

If you’re looking for a gym that focuses on great coaching, smart programming, real results and a good time while you're at it, this is the place to be!

Joined this gym about 10 months ago. I have absolutely loved it. The trainers are very knowledgeable, attentive and fun. The workouts are challenging and have put me in the best shape I have been in since high school while always having options to scale back on days I’m just not feeling it. The community with the other members is special with everyone being so welcoming. Have found new friends beyond just in the gym.

I’ve always felt intimidated walking into gyms, but this one has been such a game changer. The community is genuinely supportive — everyone, from the coaches to the members, is kind and encouraging. The coaches take time to show you proper form, give modifications when needed, and celebrate your progress. I’ve built confidence not only to lift heavier but also to step into new gyms without fear. The vibes here are unmatched — motivating, fun, and full of good energy!

My favorite (not) Crossfit gym! My schedule is crazy and I travel a lot. The set-up allows me to be flexible, the cost is reasonable, and the classes are limited to 10 people so you have personalized attention. Plus, the environment is great.

I joined RMA in 2018 and have had an awesome experience. Besides the amazing coaches and staff that run it, it’s a great community to be a part of. Everybody drops their ego at the door and comes to be better every day, but there’s always friendly competition if you want it! You couldn’t pay me to go anywhere else. 👌 Whether you’ve never worked out in your life or are a die hard - this gym is THE spot!

A North Denver original. Get in ASAP for one of the best strength and conditioning experiences that you'll ever have. It starts with the ownership. Not many CrossFit gyms withstand time, but Jai does. It opened in November 2011 and eventually grew to it's new location. Next comes the coaching. Jai's staff is some of the finest that Denver has to offer. They will challenge you, yet keep you healthy and safe. And lastly is the community. Jai has members since day one. They help each other in and out of the gym. Truly a Northside Denver gem.

I was a member of this gym for 2 years, which is the longest I've been a member of any singular athletic establishment (crossfit, yoga, spin, etc). TJ & crew are passionate about what they do, and make you feel like one of their own. Highly recommend.

I've been a member of this gym for over 3 years now. The number one thing for me that this gym holds above all is Coach:Athlete ratio. This is very key and is the reason I am still here. You won't be one of 20 athlete's vying for the coach's attention. Currently the ration maintained is 1:10.

Further, the coaches are all very friendly and have a real interest in making sure you start/end your day well.

I started here because of the schedule, and have stayed for over 2 years because of the people and the programming. The workouts are solid, class sizes are usually reasonable, and the coaches are helpful. If I had to, it would be hard to leave this place.

Favorite hour of my day! Love this gym. I joined a few months ago when I felt like I needed a change. I was terrified at first, but TJ has a great program for newbies and the people that go to this gym are so awesome! The coaches are fantastic and I'm learning something every time I go. I've never felt stronger and more in control of my body and life in general. I always leave feeling great about myself. Thanks Cross Fit Jai!

100% recommend this gym! I've been going to Jai for about a year now and I can't say enough good things. The programming is smart - TJ is thoughtful about all of the workouts we do. They're able to program for a huge range of fitness levels and never compromise the quality of my individual experience. The coaches are great, they're helpful, encouraging, and they clearly care about the wellness of everyone in the class. Last but definitely not least is the other members - everyone is so welcoming and nice!

This is one of two CrossFit gyms I have worked out at in Denver. However, I CrossFit when I travel and out of the 6 other boxes I've experienced this is by far the best. The coaches are diligent about reviewing the lifts prior the workouts, there are sessions/days devoted to skill work and the WODs are not repetitive and challenging. I am still modifying some skills and the coaches always have a new aspect or direction that will continue to improve my performance, be challenging and not kill my tiny inner competitor.

Great gym. I have been doing the WODs here for just over a month and I really enjoy the atmosphere, people and workouts. I really only have a couple of other gyms to compare it to, so there is not a lot I can say that they do differently. However, everyone at the gym loves it, and I see very little turnover.

The coaches are very good at going through the motions of each lift before we do it. Also, during the WODs they are constantly walking around and improving form. I think the main issues with gyms would be big classes that allow people to go unsupervised. This is not the case since classes are generally limited to 8 people.

The schedule has plenty of times throughout the day to fit most peoples' schedules. The actual gym is kept clean, has a lot of nice equipment and is growing with the addition of a whole new section of the building.

I would definitely recommend anyone to trying out Jai.
