Rocky Mountain Strength offers small group classes including HIIT, Strength , Total Body Conditioning and MountainFIT. We also offer personal training with South Denvers top certified personal trainers. We welcome any fitness level, in a clean and well equipped facility. We also specialize in Backcountry Training to help our Colorado community in whatever they need to be prepared for the outdoors.

Rocky Mountain Strength is a top-notch gym with an array of fitness and recovery offerings. I’ve been coming to RMS for almost 2 years. They host a variety of classes ranging to conditioning, to strength, to a mountain fitness class. These classes keep the workouts fun and engaging. You never feel like you do the same workout twice. This is a great class-based gym.

I started training at Rocky Mountain Strength with little to no weight lifting experience and now I feel more knowledgeable and confident in the gym. The staff is very friendly and the facility is great with a fun outdoorsy theme.

I sought out the gym after feeling pain in both of my knees due to running a marathon for the first time. My trainer, Zach Petrone, was able to help me develop strength around my knees so they’d be more stable and less prone to injury. Now I’m back to running with no pain and lifting with Zach has become a part of my normal routine. It’s very cool to see how weight lifting helps with my running! Oh, and the gym has a trail running team which is lots of fun!

I can’t say enough good things about Rocky Mountain Strength. I think it’s one of the best all around gyms you’re going to find in the Denver area. Top notch coaches! They offer a variety of classes and the programming challenges you to improve on yourself each week. I credit the MountainFIT classes for the fewer instances of knee and ankle pain this ski season! They also have a huge array of equipment and open gym opportunities if classes aren’t your thing. Plus, I love the recovery room.

Rocky Mountain Strength and in particular, Coach Tori G. helped me with personal training when I entered my first, non-sanctioned powerlifting competition. I could rave about Coach Tori for 100 more reviews. Her coaching plan, fitness knowledge, and enthusiastic support made working towards my goal of competing in a powerlifting competition one of the best experiences of my life, plus I’d never felt stronger! No matter where you are with your fitness journey, you can’t go wrong with Rocky Mountain Strength.

I’ve been with RMS for over a year now and absolutely love it! All the trainers are amazing as they ensure you’re using the proper form, provide plenty of encouragement, and create a safe workout environment. The gym offers a variety of workout classes, open gym hours, and personal training. Recently, I joined the Trail Running team to train for a trail race which was great for accountability. #Gymlife – This gym is basically my second home or my morning wake up. I've been sweating it out at RMS for nearly a year now, and I can't help but brag about how lucky I am to have found them! Seriously, folks, I was clueless about what how ppl can get addicted to this gym life and than BAM here I am!

Picture this: The classes are more fun than a barrel of monkeys, and they fit perfectly into my schedule. Workouts that make you sweat like a waterfall, but fear not, they can be dialed down if you're having a "lazy day." I even managed to bounce back from surgery and get back into my fitness groove under the watchful eye of Dr. Gym. Heck, even my 74-year-old pops can keep up with me here and he's loving every minute of it!

And the folks here? They're not just gym buddies; they're practically family now! I've got mad love for my gym squad! No intimidating vibes or snooty attitudes like those other fitness palaces.

Let's talk about our stellar instructors, shall we? Zach, the gym overlord, remembered me from day one and made me feel like a returning hero on my second visit. I should've listened to him and my buddy and gone for the Monthly Unlimited plan right away. It's all about that unlimited gym lovin', people. You'll get hooked quicker than you can say "burpee."

Loving this gym and these workouts so much! I'm so glad I found them. I had been on the search for a Denver gym for over a year, popping in and out of other Crossfit and chain gyms, finding that the workouts weren't always consistent enough, instructors weren't very motivating, community wasn't a fit, etc. At RMS the instructors have been so attentive to form and supportive and I get a great (and fun!) workout in every single time, all in 45 efficient minutes.

Rocky Mountain Strength has been a great find!! After moving to CO I was on the hunt for a community of likeminded people, happy/friendly, and focused on healthy living with an interest in being outdoors. I’ve done a fair amount of ‘gym shopping’ and RMS is one of the few that offers all of these things plus a great fitness challenge. Before joining the gym classes, I started on their Trail Running team last spring (because when in CO do CO things!). Despite not being a gym member or a runner for that matter, the owner Zach and the other team members were so welcoming and took me in as one of their own as we trained 2-3 times/wk over 8 weeks for a 4-8mi trail race. Recently I started taking daily classes at the gym and am a huge fan of the structure. Personally I have to keep a higher level of strength training in my routine vs cardiovascular training to keep my cortisol levels down. I love that the majority of the classes each week are dedicated to building strength and balance. The 6week program rotations offer the ability to master exercises while incrementally adding more weight each week which is not only key to gaining lean muscle but also for building good form. The first class I took, every member (this is big!!) said Hi and asked me my name. This is not the norm for most gyms, often times people can be cliquey or have an in-out mindset when it comes to taking classes. For someone new to the state this was a huge thing for me - gave me all the feels! Highly recommended giving this place a try!

Such a great gym! I love the variety and challenge of the workouts as well as the energy and encouragement of the coaches. My favorite classes are the MountainFit classes, which prepare you for any fitness endeavor in the mountains. I do those regularly, as well as most of the strength classes, and I feel fully prepared to ski or hike a 14er!

I’ve worked with most of these coaches for years (Fit36) and they are all great! The circuits here are fun, challenging, and change every six weeks so you never get bored of the class. Plus there are 8 different classes each circuit so you don’t even hit them all in one week. All the members are super nice and have basically become a family. They encourage you, push you to do more, and laugh with you during the workouts. I love the different competitions we do in the gym or outside with trail running, or outdoor workouts. They make you push yourself harder than you thought you could. I’m stronger than I have ever been and my form /balance has improved dramatically over the last year. I definitely won’t be leaving this place an anytime soon!

2023 It’s been another year at this gym and I absolutely love it! The workouts have changed based on what the members wanted and I can honestly say I’ve never felt stronger. I’ve made some great friends and we push each other during workouts and outside the gym. The challenges have become more difficult making it even more fun to participate in. Zach, the owner, is fantastic and only hires the best coaches. You definitely just have to come try the gym for yourself!

It’s not just a gym, it’s a community! I love that the group training classes are smaller, allowing the coaches to go around the group more often to correct form to prevent injuries. Every coach is full of energy and encourages you to work harder! The workouts are challenging and each exercise is targeted to build stronger muscles for mountain activities + more. Might be a new, but the trainers are not new, this place is awesome! The gym is great, love the atmosphere, and set up, the garage door is great! The trainers are superb, they know what they are talking about, the challenge your, support you and best of all they have fun. You can personal train or so small group classes! To top it off they have handled COVID in spectacular fashion. They have the recommended amount of people, you have to wear a mask, and they wipe down everything after each use! Rocky Mountain Strength is a top-notch facility. The weekly workouts that vary from HIIT, to Total Body Conditioning, to specified strength days reduces the boredom and will keep your body surprised and continually getting stronger, leaner, and more agile. Zach clearly leads by example and sets the bar high in his expectations of quality and behavior of all of his trainers - they're great! I can't end the review without saying that while there's a definite focus on form and a regard for doing the movements correctly (to prevent injury), it's also a lot of fun. I absolutely love this gym! All the trainers are welcoming, motivating and well educated. I always appreciate when trainers fix your form and give you tips even during a group work out class, it shows they are paying attention and truly care. The work outs are challenging and have purpose behind them - plus the music is great! With the COVID challenges we are facing I feel extremely safe in this gym as well.
