This is my favorite studio in town. You won’t find a more personalized yoga experience. Katie is a very knowledgeable, in-depth instructor who cares deeply about her work and the people she serves. I highly recommend this studio to everyone who is interested in a path to wellness.

Practicing with Katie at Roots of Luna is something truly special. She’s a gifted guide with a calm, grounding presence, and it’s clear how deeply she cares about everyone who walks through her door. Her teaching is intuitive and heartfelt, and you can feel how connected she is to her practice in the way she leads each class - with warmth, intention, and generosity. The studio itself reflects all of that energy, peaceful, welcoming, and full of heart. Katie has created something really beautiful, and I’m so grateful to be a part of it.

Whether you already work out or are just getting back into it, Katie makes you feel comfortable and not pressured into any workouts that are too daunting. I love my personal training at Roots of Luna. The facility is just the right size to accommodate workouts but not so big that you lose the intimacy of the space. Katie has moved me to higher and higher challenges at a pace that doesn't leave me (too 😊) sore and keeps safety in mind. Katie has also invested in additional equipment to be able to increase the challenge, which I appreciate. I also appreciate the thought that Katie puts into planning each session to target varied muscle groups and to avoid monotony or boredom. Her wide and deep experience in many different fitness categories adds to the knowledge she brings to the studio and her clients.

Katie is amazing! I’ve been working out with her for over 5 years and love every single class and practice she offers, be it personal training, group exercise or different yoga offerings. Throughout the years my goals and needs have been changing but Katie always knows how to challenge me and keep me going and motivated. Her creativity and dedication has no end! She is also the one who introduced me to yoga and made me fall in love with it!
The Roots of Luna studio is a perfect place, so warm and inviting. It has everything you’d need to get a really good workout or a relaxation session.
Even my teenager joined Katie at Roots of Luna and is loving it. I can’t recommend it enough! Katie is not just knowledgeable and full of ideas as a trainer and yoga instructor but is also a wonderful, thoughtful and caring person that makes you feel great every single time.

Katie is a personal training goddess! She has worked with my injuries and helped me modify beautifully. Katie is amazing! I have been taking her classes since she worked at Villa, and her studio is so awesome! She has made the space so cozy and you are ready to dive in and absorb all the things. She is an insightful, deep yogi and after you experience her classes, you leave feeling inspired, and connected. I love Saturday Sadhana, and anytime I can make a special workshop. I know she does several other formats, and I’d love to try those sometime as well. But, she is one of 2 yoga instructors who introduced me to this practice and I always leave wanting more, in a positive way.

Katie is a phenomenal yoga teacher and personal trainer! Her vinyasa flows are, by far, my favorite. I’m in my third year of working with Katie D. She offers many things at Roots of Luna. Her depth of experience in leading you in both yoga and personal training is clear right away. Katie understands anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology and her yoga and personal training classes are guided by science. She is curious and intuitive, as well as a good listener. I’ve done group retreats with her and more than 100 yoga classes under her guidance. I also have started seeing her weekly for 1:1 strength training. Roots of Luna studio is well equipped and Katie has a “huge bag” of exercise techniques to support anyone’s personal needs. Her equipment is in outstanding condition. I keep coming back because Katie is a dedicated professional trainer who cares to know me well. She helps me establish fitness goals with a calm knowledge based approach. And, she pushes me to do more than I thought possible. I turned 60 this year. Katie has me thinking about my “well span” and how to be fit and strong into my elder years. An hour with Katie is very much worth her reasonable rates. Roots of Luna is a place to grow your physical strength but also a place where you soul will find a rich spiritual experience among friends in group classes or 1:1.
