I took a real life Yoga class last night from Sheena. I'm less sore/tight this morning than i have been since we got this new boxspring. My knee doesn't hurt. My legs feel great.
I was never interested in yoga because there's so much emphasis on breathing and clearing your mind and blah!
Breathing helps transition poses. And, like she told me, alignment helps clear your mind. I was overthinking yoga. Who does that??
I should also mention that there's a dance technique I've been studying and her guidance helped me nail a move I thought I wasn't strong enough for.
Anyway. I'm a convert. Thank you, Sheena!!!

I had never really done yoga before, so I decided to try Spark of Life Yoga. While I still don't go often, I do love the atmosphere of the studio. Sheena creates such an inviting environment where everyone is welcome, even for a sometimer like me. I always feel welcome at the studio.

What a great place to be. Warm, welcoming and positive for everyone. Each class is tailored to fit the needs of the students. You can ask for easier or more challenging poses. Not a "grind 'em out" type of class at all. Wonderful, Two-der-ful, Three-der-ful!!!!!

Sheena is a wonderful instructor. I love going to her classes for cross training. The class setting is welcoming and does not feel competitive. She offers modified poses for those with limited mobility/flexibility, and I really like that. I recommend my family, friends, and students to her.

Spark of Life Yoga is a delightful studio for all levels, but is particularly a haven for those new to yoga, or those looking for a welcoming, non-competitive, and encouraging environment. Sheena (the instructor) is wonderfully kind and has a knack for recognizing where a student may be struggling, deftly providing guidance and suggestions for modifications and/or alternatives so the student can work on a comfortable level. Sheena is also skilled in catering to students of various levels in one class; classes are kept on the smaller size, allowing for a more personalized feel in the studio. Both the advanced student and first-time students will find a challenging yet warm, welcoming, and comfortable yoga home in Spark of Life Yoga.
