My husband and I stopped to see if we could get a schedule of the yoga classes and a young man said that he was just filling in for a lunch break and a lady would be back soon. Didn’t lift a finger to try and assist us. We walked out and encountered a woman walking in. Since we were there, I happened to ask if she worked there and knew of a yoga schedule. She replied that she was on her lunch and that yoga is on Thursdays and I could look at the door if I wanted a time. We saw nothing posted on the door or anywhere else. She said no schedule because time would be changing. Very rude responses, especially since the place was nearly completely empty. No employee was too busy to help.

A wonderful facility to play pickleball, and other court sports such as basketball, and volleyball. The rec center now has a work out room with new exercise equipment.

I stopped by over the weekend and there was one car parked outside this empty rec center. When I went in, there was a teenage girl and an older woman running the front desk. I asked the older woman if I could leave a flyer offering volleyball lessons. I was told that this rec center does their own volleyball lessons so I could not post my flyer and I could not use their rec center to conduct volleyball lessons due to this being a conflict of interest. While I understand WHY they would not allow me to post my flyer or conduct lessons at their rec center, I also asked if I could use their gym at some point to practice volleyball (since I play too) and that's where things got weird. I was told that there was no open gym....yet...there was a whole gym that was not in use. So, why is there someone sitting at a front desk wasting tax dollars to keep people out of a rec center gym? That is the part I don't understand.

So glad Pueblo opened something up for the county area. My sons love playing basketball there with their friends, but sometimes one of the ladies on staff treats them unkindly. Isn't stopping them from going to have their funeral though!

It should be renamed
(Pickleball center)
Not really a public recreation center.

Neat, clean with friendly, responsive staff. I LOVE playing pickleball here. Although the nets could be upgraded.
