A truly one of a kind place! I love this gym more than I can explain, and it offers way more than just a place to work out. One of the best experiences I had was participating in the yearly Unite to Fight program, an opportunity to raise money for a charity of your choice and train for your first boxing match. It’s the most welcoming community where I’m sure anyone can find their place.

A boxing gym is built on community, and this is the first place where I truly felt that community was the top priority. I’ve trained at several boxing gyms before, but this one is the real deal. I worked with Carrie, and her instruction was nothing short of exceptional—she zeroes in on exactly what you need and helps you truly understand the movement and feel confident throughout the process. Absolutely worth the drive up from Denver. Easily an 11/10.

The Latest:
I’ve been going to The Corner Boxing Club for many years, but recently moved away. I came back for a private training session with Pratik, and it reminded me exactly why I love this place. It was one of the best sessions I’ve ever had — Pratik is incredible at explaining technique, introducing new ideas, and fine-tuning the small details that make a big difference. His energy and attention to detail make every minute count.

If you’re not boxing at The Corner Boxing Club, what are you doing? Get in there already! 🥊

I have been going to the Corner Boxing Gym for over two years now. I have lived in Boulder for almost my entire life, and in that time I have had many gum memberships at numerous places. This is the one Gym that is a community. The instructors are all amazing and they are interested in your growth first as a person and second as an athlete. There is no better place to work out in Boulder than the Corner! Go see Carrie or one of the coaches and join the community!

I participate in my hometown Portland, Maine Rocksteady boxing program for people with Parkinson’s. While visiting friends in Boulder, I joined the rusty gloves class led by Carrie and an incredible team of support staff volunteers.
I joined a welcoming group of fellow parkinson’s folks, and immediately felt like I was part of a cohesive community. Something I suspect the staff creates across many of their classes and programs. Carrie obviously has the ability to be sensitive and caring at the same time, motivating and inspiring.
I hope to be a visitor again in the not too distant future.

5-STARS is not sufficient.

Carrie and her team are the best. I've belonged to several gyms, and the Corner is by far the best experience I've ever had. I'm in my 50s and I recently decided to restart boxing and I am so, so glad to be with the Corner. The inclusivity, community and commitment to betterment is second to none. I'd say the inclusivity is the real stand out. It can be somewhat intimidating to walk into a boxing gym but I've felt nothing but positivity and support since day one. I joined with my son and we both agree that this has been the best money we've ever spent on fitness and skill building. Thank you Coach Carrie, coaches Pratik, Prikasa, Henry and money Mitch - you're the best and I appreciate the opportunity to train and learn.

Take the intro class and be ready to learn what it means to have a whole gym "in your corner".

I am so grateful that I found this gym!! I can't express enough how much my husband loves his boxing class. The gym is so upbeat....everyone helps each other and there is such an atmosphere of welcoming everyone, acceptance, care for the individual and their success. This place is doing something right. It's a God-send to us.

I had a poor experience at this gym. The instructors I had, Prikasa and Henry, were very unwelcoming and had an apathetical arrogance to their instructing. If you've never been to another boxing gym, you would probably come to this one for your first time and think that all boxing gyms are this way, but they are not. For $140/month (plus about $100 of sign up and intro class fees they're not very up front about), you should feel welcomed and at home at your boxing gym, and like the instructors care about your progress. I did not feel this way at all. Also I would be wary of a lot of the positive reviews. A lot of them seem to have been written one or two months ago, but I did not recognize any of the names of the people writing these reviews when I attended this gym myself.

The corner boxing club is a really special place. I enrolled after finishing my PhD (I was also in an incredibly unhealthy time in my life where I was stressful and sedentary for a long time). The corner and its amazing coaches has brought back a new found confidence in my body that has trickled its way into almost every aspect of my life. Beyond that, the community and support that I receive have been incredible and consistent since day 1. It's a really unique environment and I'm incredibly thankful to be apart of it. Truly grateful for this safe space. <3

This place change my life, The coach Carrie has been an incredibly amazing person with her advice, training, and support. The club and her definitely help me to be the person I was years ago again, the commitment and love they dedicate to helping you and teaching you is definitely one of the best things that happened to me and whenever someone tells me they want to train I recommend contacting them because a boxing club like this is not easy to find and you won't get a trainer like Carrie anywhere. I would leave a million stars because 5 stars is not enough and they deserve more.

Been coming here for about a month, but have previous experience in other martial arts. Carrie is a tough but keen instructor. I’ve boxed at a lot gyms when I lived in NYC and with a lot of trainers/coaches. The Corner is hands down my favorite and the best. You won’t find better coaches. Plus the gym is a non-profit doing amazing things in the community. Ignore any reviews about cancellation policies and pricing. Everything the gym and Coach Carrie does and their policies are not only industry standard, but better than anywhere else I’ve been!

If you're looking for hard workouts with a surprising amount of mental challenge and a vibe that is simultaneously as old school and welcoming as you'll find anywhere The Corner Boxing Club is the place to be.

Coach Carrie is the real deal. But more than that, the culture she's created flows down through the staff and the athletes, and The Corner is now the fitness home for me (early 60s, former hardcore triathlete/endurance athlete & coach), our high-schooler (former kickboxer and gymnast), and most recently my 80-something mother.

Just show up... you'll be glad you did.

Don’t waste your time the coaches don’t put emphasis on teaching boxing and they are straight liars and unprofessional at what they do by far the worst boxing gym ever been I agreed with the owner of the gym to go for a month before I can spar because she claimed I was “untrustworthy” which in turn makes absolutely no sense if I’ve boxed for a decent amount of time and after all I agreed even though everything she said was in the wrong I showed up to classes as instructed and a month later she comes with the excuse that I have not been going treating me as a liar like the first time , and she does this too many I see , don’t waste your time go to another gym and to actually makes good worth of your money

The Corner Boxing Club is a legit boss boxing gym and one of my top 5 favorite places in the world. Coach Carrie has set a tone of excellence, hard work, and inclusion. This tone has created a place where anyone can work hard to learn how to box from the athlete competitive team to middle aged women (me!) to seniors - and everyone in between. Coach Carrie pushes you to be your best and her philosophy and attitude are shared by the skilled coaching staff. Eli, Angel, Pratik, Prikasa, and Pollo all excel at teaching boxing to all levels of participants. My 1:1 session with Coach Carrie is my favorite time of the week and I really enjoy the footwork class, the mid-day workout classes, the AM smokehouse strength, the Saturday strength & conditioning, and the offensive/defensive strategy classes. There's also a senior/parkinson's class. There's truly something for everyone. The Corner Boxing Club is a special place. Try it out!

Being 76 yrs young going on 12, I have competed in numerous sports from the usual basketball, softball, soccer, to racquetball, working out etc., ; a friend suggested I try boxing and so a number of years ago I did so. It has been a very enjoyable change of pace for me, something totally different from past and current endeavors. The warm-ups, stretching, etc. are specific and well planned. The classes are also well planned focussing on various goals such as strength, power, agility, and balance. Oh yes, we get to pound the heavy bags, shadow box, and hit the speed bag. It is a fun good workout and everyone I have been around is very friendly and encouraging. Thank you Coach Carrie for making this possible for we oldsters as well as all the youth programs.

The corner is one of my favorite places to be in all of Boulder. Coach Carrie has not just created a gym, but a community. When I go to a class, I feel an instant connection with others. I also do personal training with the gym which has really helped me meet my general fitness goals while learning to box. In the fall, Diego was my trainer and he was awesome with helping me with my form and skill development. I recommend him as a trainer if you start going here.

This spring, though, I injured my hand badly and had to have surgery in March. I felt really sad because my physical therapist said I wouldn’t be able to box for a long time. But once I was well enough, I started working independently with Carrie, and she has modified everything to get me back into boxing while doing rehab for my hand. She even always checks in on me after to ask how my hand is. I don’t know if any other gym that would do that. Pricing is very fair, and I feel so good knowing that The Corner is a nonprofit with such meaningful programs.

I will be forever indebted to Coach Carrie for helping my son find his passion. From his first intro to boxing class to now being on the competitive team, the Corner has literally changed his life. He says the people there have become like family to him, always pushing him to be better. And the benefits extend well beyond the ring - he is disciplined, organized, more empathetic & surprisingly responsible. A mother's dream, especially during a pandemic that put him in a pretty dark place.

I to the Saturday intro class and it was such a great time that I joined right after, and I’ve never even boxed before! My first class was with Ryan, and my second one was with Diego - they were both patient and helpful as I still didn’t know how to wrap my hands, my shoes kept coming untied, and my glove would un-Velcro. The others in the class are just as supportive. I’m so happy to be a part of the community here! I don’t feel judged for being new - only encouraged. My only advice is this: don’t be late, or Carrie will make you do push-ups!

I have been coming here for six months and I am more fit then I have been in a long time. Every time I come here I leave completely drenched in sweat. What a workout!!! I feel so much more confident knowing I can throw a punch too!! All the trainers are class acts. Carrie is extremely knowledgeable and gives you the skills needed to box with good form. I highly recommend some personal time with her. Diego blew me away when I heard he was only 16. He had total control over the class and made it super fun. He also gave pointers during class to correct bad habits. Prikasa’s class is hard and super fun. Just be careful with the young trainers… there classes are the hardest 😜. Everyone who trains here has been super nice and it is super supportive environment. I highly recommend this gym.

I was introduced to Carrie and the Corner crew while helping them with some design projects early on. Carrie was great to work with and always had an awesome attitude. 5ish years later I came to my senses and realized how much fun and challenging boxing is. I emailed Carrie and after looking at my schedule, decided to go with one on one sessions. She set me up with Diego. Don't let his age fool you (I almost did). He is a great coach who has been professional, knowledgable, communicates (cues movement) very well, and obviously loves the sport.

I signed my son up a while back and I fell to realize that you had to sign up for a specific Saturday for the Intro. That one is my bad. But when we did show up, which by the way took a lot to get my son to come, we were not welcomed warmly at all. This did not feel like a place for kids. I wish someone could have returned my phone call before I made the drive and I wish the instructor would’ve offered for my son to come to the next class or giving me some sort of option. Rather she walked right past me and started class. I was standing there and I felt embarrassed.

Perhaps not about the business itself, but as I was commuting to work on Sunday 12/8/2019, an aggressive driver with this business' logo decided their priorities were more important than the safety of everyone else on Colorado 119. Flashing high beams (in the morning nonetheless) into my back windshield and tailgating myself and other drivers. Look, I understand emergencies rise up and people have places to go. But this sours any prospects I would have to try this gym out. If you want to be a lousy driver, fine. But make sure you're not in the company vehicle and putting out a lousy reputation for potential clients.

Comments on The Corner Boxing. My husband has been a member for 2 years . This year he decided to participate in an event called The Founders Fight . This boxing event you must pick a charity for people to donate to. When you go onto the website to donate the sight ask for a tip. On yesterday which was the day before the boxing event he was told he didn't raise enough money to participate . Now it has occurred to us that The Corner Boxing is about money (pocketing money). I wish I could give more stars. The Corner is the real thing, and more. If you're into hard boxing, they have all the toughness of a traditional boxing gym, and you can train as hard as you want here. If what you want is fitness and a better sense of your body and how you can move, you'll get awesome and motivating workouts here. In all of it, the gym has a great vibe, and the Corner team are great people. Carrie and the team have somehow found a way to have a real boxing gym that doesn't feel the least bit thuggish, where folks feel genuinely welcome. The fact that they give so much back to the community through charitable work is just icing on the cake. The Corner Rocks.

I really cannot say enough good about this gym and the wonderful ladies who run it. We should all be so lucky to have access to such a welcoming and supportive environment

I have been coming here for 15 months now, and I feel better than I have felt in years - physically and mentally. Coaches Carrie and Kirsten are both so inspiring, even when I am super stressed or down. They are great at pushing limits in a productive way.

They are superb members of the community and continually supporting and giving back. From their Parkinson's class, to the programs they have for kids, to the money they raise with the Founder's Fights, they are constantly making our community a better place.

MOST importantly to me, my seven year old starting training here after he was diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome and I had to pull him from his school because of bullying. Since he started training with Johnny and Diego, he has a new and supportive community who challenge him, teach him discipline, and have given him confidence he never before had. His TS is now almost unnoticeable, and he is more confident is all aspects of his life. I cannot day how grateful I am for everyone at Corner Boxing, and hope we are able to continue to come here for a long time!

The Corner Boxing Club offers a professional boxing environment for the serious competitor, but at the same time is completely welcoming to the novice athlete ready to learn something new (there are more offerings than just boxing) and take their strength and conditioning to another level. Coach Carrie’s methodology of training is effective, technique-driven, and suitable for all levels of athletes. She is an excellent coach with a passion for learning and is willing to travel far and wide to expand her depth and breadth of knowledge despite already having impressive credentials. The coaches are knowledgeable, generous, and, best of all, kind and clever. The gym is extremely welcoming, but you can also see that the coaches know how to (and do) train high level boxers. That they are also willing to train anyone in the community that is interested in learning is a pretty great combo. In my opinion, although this is obviously a gym focused on one sport, it's the best place in Boulder.

Not a good gym at all, same workout every week and coaches really don't care about developing a boxers skills. The coaches may look good on paper but not in real life. During sparring they will let a person get beat up and never get any better because the coaches just don't know what to say or do to make a person better. This is not a place if you are trying to become a real fighter. Its a mild workout facility so if you want to box, FIND ANOTHER GYM

Stopped in for a training session and loved the gym and people. I'm inexperienced and Carrie was very accommodating. Non-intimidating atmosphere, but the accolades and approach make it obvious that an athlete at any level could benefit from stopping in.

Carrie and Kirsten Barry are two of the most amazing people ever. The staff is completely down to earth, friendly, and knowledgeable about their craft. Not only will you learn valuable skills, but you are guaranteed a great workout with every lesson! I would recommend Corner Boxing to anyone interested in their personal well being.

Carrie was my go-to PT'er following a total knee replacement. I was so impressed by her knowledge, experience and dedication that when she told me she was opening her own gym I had to follow her. First and foremost, Kirsten and Carrie are 'good' people. The classes are a serious cardio experience - but you are learning a skill, and it's fun - lots of fun. You can attend scheduled classes for the awesome workouts and, if you find you actually want to learn the art of boxing, Carrie and Kirsten will give you all the attention and training you desire.

At age 71 and with a knee replacement, I've found Carrie's guidance with Silver Gloves is invaluable. She makes me feel 50 again. Her patience and knowledge surpass my expectations. Thank you, Carrie.

The Corning Boxing will kick your butt in this weird way where you want to keep going back. The coaching is targeted and helpful; I love it. They're friendly and welcoming to any level of athleticism (including zero, which is my level). You'll learn to love the gym, and all of its amazing members and staff.

The best boxing club in Colorado. Carrie is the most accomplished boxing coach in any of the gyms in Colorado. The Corner is a modern and clean boxing environment, with physically challenging and playful classes that make you forget you're even working out.

Most Welcoming Gym in Boulder. I have never boxed before in my life and I just took my first class and it blew my mind...days later I am still sore and so excited to go back! Oh and by the way...ALL ROOKIE CLASSES ARE FREE. SERIOUSLY. YES. FREE. Carrie Barry and Kirsten Barry are truly the most kind and badass people! I felt safe and welcome and seen both as a queer person and as someone who was stepping into something I have never done before. It was very refreshing to walk into a queer friendly gym full of all skill levels that did not have any elitism about it. This is a place where the people who have experience help the people who have less experience. This is rare in any gym setting, and I'm so glad The Corner is here as a role model for how people and gyms can be. It was so empowering to take this class...I felt strong and grounded and ready for anything afterward. If you're thinking about it...if you're scared...if you think you can't possibly...but you want to...DO IT. Do something different. Go ahead and step out of your comfort zone and put on your brave! Check out this awesome place!!!!!!
