I really like this yoga studio. It’s got great amenities and a nice community and all the teachers I’ve worked with have been high-quality.

Five Points is my home studio, but each of these locations is wonderful. The studios are very clean, beautiful, and relaxing. The instructors are friendly and make you feel so welcomed. Each class has its own style based on the instructor, so it's nice to get a great variety not just in class type but how it's executed. The studios are also well-balanced from a spiritual perspective; the subtle messages/themes brought to class are suitable for anyone. It's also very well priced, especially considering there are 3 locations to always choose from. I'm looking forward to sticking with The River for a while :)

This is truly a special place. I turned to yoga after a traumatic loss in my life, and the instructors here have paved the way for me to start a new journey of healing, strength, and self growth. Each teacher brings something unique to class, and I always feel valued and safe. The River’s membership is very reasonably priced and there are so many great perks- especially the free mat rental and no cancellation fees. If you’re looking for a space to grow and thrive in community, The River is for you.

I attended the Hot River Flow class with Liz. She fostered a welcoming and positive atmosphere for everyone and expertly guided us through each pose.

I stumbled into The River a few months ago at the Five Points location after straining my ankle hiking the collegiates. After dropping into my first hot yoga class with Makayla, I decided to sign up as a full-time member immediately.

I went in thinking my experience at The River would be about balance, flexibility and core strength, but I got so much more out of it. My golf swing became more controlled, my basketball shot improved, my dance moves were more fluid, and I was able to build resilience to injury better than ever at 36 years old.

The River is not just a yoga studio, it's a community. The last year for me has been plagued with loss and grief, and The River was my rock that kept me in a good mental space to get through these tough times. The breathwork, meditation, and community events have been amazing, and all the teachers are extremely motivating with their unique teaching styles and personalities.

I never thought yoga would be a practice I'd fit into, but The River has welcomed me with open arms. I highly recommend The River to anyone looking for a new studio or interested in trying yoga for the first time :)

Thank you to all the teachers that have worked with me and helped me with my yoga practice along the way: Danielle B, Mallory, Kendall A, Mona, Vanessa, Steph, Aimee, Makayla, Precious, Charlie, Lisa H, Mona, Shae, Talon, Karina, Carolyn, Meghann, Rachel W, Lisa P, Krystal, Donna, and so many more I look forward to working with in the future!

I love the River Yoga! I was so intimidated to step into a yoga studio for the first time, thinking it couldn't possibly be a place for people "like me," but it might be the most welcoming place I've ever been. The space is just beautiful, but the best part of the River is the teachers. Each one has their own style and genuinely cares about their students, so whatever you're looking for you can find it here. Creating a community of individuals from different walks of life is no easy task, but the nurturing souls at the River have made it happen.

I am OBSESSED with The River Yoga. I’ve been practicing here for about 1.5 years and I love the warm, welcoming, community feel of each studio. The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, and you can tell that they genuinely love being a part of The River. The Five Points studio offers kids yoga with Krystal on Saturday mornings, and ever since my daughter was able to attend at 4 years old, we try to go every week! Now my daughter wakes up in the morning each day and asks, “is it a yoga day?” because she loves it so much. It’s the perfect way for me to get a class in while my daughter learns the skills of mindfulness and awareness at such a young age. What if we all would have had yoga at 4?! Do yourself a favor and get your mat to The River!

This is a really special place. The studio owner and yoga instructors at The River have created a space where everyone belongs, is seen and welcomed into the community exactly as they are. This studio has changed my life and words can’t express the gratitude I have for being a part of it.

Regardless of your fitness level, yoga is for every body, mind and spirit. Even if you just show up and breathe, I promise that you will leave feeling changed. Classes are inclusive. I recommend Malory’s Yin + Slow Flow, Vanessa’s Deep Stretch + Meditation and Marisa’s Hot River Flow classes at this location.

In addition to yoga classes, the studio also organizes mountain retreats, international retreats, yoga teacher training, workshops, and retail. A few classes each month are made accessible with a donation based “pay what you can“ price which supports a scholarship fund for yoga teacher training.

The Five Points location is right at the 25th and Walton RTD light rail stop in a beautiful and bright space. The studio is always clean and has everything available to support you in your practice - yoga mats, hand/shower towels, yoga blocks, bolsters, blankets, and yoga straps.

I started at their other location and now I jump back and forth between both.

The teachers/instructors helped me learn from ground zero, and in the best way possible. I have never felt more safe in a workout/movement environment.

No matter your skill level or background, the studio genuinely has the perfect class and teacher for you.

I highly recommend trying a class from Lisa, Lindsey, Marisa K and Krystal. :)
The Hot River Flow is my favorite!

The River has literally changed my life. After being released from jail I started attending yoga classes here daily. Even with having an ankle monitor on I was welcomed and it was the only place that actually treated me like a human being. I’ve attended pretty much every teacher/ different types of classes which have all helped me fall in love with myself again. I’ve become myself mentally, physically and spiritually. Every instructor here has touched me emotionally at some point throughout the last few months. It’s a beautiful space, beautiful community and beautiful practice. Thank you 🙏.

I really enjoyed this studio, especially with meghann as the teacher!

I have been searching endlessly for a studio that felt right to connect with in the denver area ever since I moved here.

when I walked in, I was instantly greeted with warmth & kindness - completely free of judgement. after we made it on the rooftop to set up for class, I hadn't realized how gorgeous the view would be and ambience would be.

this was the first studio/teacher to really incorporate the traditional chaturanga into our practice - an aspect of yoga that is severely lacking in denver specifically. In fact, meghann incorporated a lot of traditional yogic principles. They are definitely super important to my practice so I was happy to hear a few of them.

Lastly, what I loved most was she made it about yoga & yoga only - no other comments were made about anything else other than weaving her theme in.

Classes are oversold, slow and are sermon style - 20 mins on your back for a 60 min class. There is disrespect for personal space and it seems instructors could care less. In addition the floors are dirty and hot classes only get mildly warm.

I love love love The River! Amazing environment, instructors, and classes. Love to sweat it out in hot classes and enjoyed the open air classes in the summer at the Sunnyside location. Instructors are very experienced and practice safe alignments and techniques. Owner, Danielle, is the sweetest human being on the planet and is so wonderful about supporting local businesses outside of her own. If you want to support local, get a great sweat in, find your zen, and make some friends along the way then this is the place to be!

The River has always given me a space to dig deeper, explore more of me and really do the work, dating back all the way to 2014. Lately my practices as taken me beyond the physical movement of yoga and more into creating the act of being completely present on my mat. The practice of presence has brought me to a new level of awareness that I am safe and supported to be who I am, through and through. I am grateful for The River, for my teachers and the community that it creates. We all bring so much value when we show up on our mats and it spills over beautifully when we are off our mats. All 3 of their studios are very special and all create a feeling of coming hOMe ✨❤️✨

Great instructors and decor but the sound is terrible. I’ve been to this location multiple times since it opened and they still haven’t figured out that instructors need microphones. We cannot hear you especially on top of music coming from multiple speakers. This is super distracting and seems like yoga teaching 101 to me. Be able to hear and understand clearly. I won’t be back to this location.

I just joined as a full member of a yoga studio that I have never... set... foot... in! How does that happen!? The River Yoga became my answer how to personally deal with Stay Home. It was recommended to me by a friend in Denver. I was at first skeptical participating in a livestream yoga class since I have always enjoyed the atmosphere of the yoga classroom. That skepticism turned into an addiction! The instructors are talented at not only yoga, but creating a sense of community with all of their students. What is also great is that as a 59 year old intermediate yoga student who never pushed herself, the instructors gently nudge you to achieve the most out of your practice. (I always start my practice by telling myself I’m just gonna take it easy today, but then breath by breath I am drawn in and before I know it I have attempted the more challenging variations offered as options to some postures, I’m feeling stronger!) Finally, while I have never met any of The River community in person, I have become confident keeping my camera on, interacting with the instructors, and participating in all the extras that come with my membership. This Jersey Girl has found a Yoga home in Denver and can only say even The Boss would approve.

I enjoy all the classes I have taken and all the instructors are fabulous. However, they are cramming too many people into the small space. They oversell the class. This is not relaxing.

I sent feedback to Kelsey via text. This was her response: "Hi Emily, we appreciate this feedback and will certainly relay it to the team. However we do suggest check out a class time outside of 5:30pm if you are not into crowds."

That is a cop out response and does not resolve the problem! Even the popular time slots should not be oversold!

Instead relax in yoga class I been happy in the beginning but the last few times it’s been very stressful because they cram us like 🐑 sheep.
I was happy in the beginning but it’s been very stressful lately.
And very expensive I have no clue why.

The River Yoga is my hOMe. Beautiful space, lovely staff, awesome locations, great mix of class offerings (especially with reciprocity with Fitness in the City!), and all around best yoga I’ve experienced in my 15 years of doing yoga in the Denver area. Highly recommend.

They continually oversell classes, and the staff couldn’t care less how it negatively affects people in their classes. Today isn’t the first time I’ve shown up (early, I should add) and not been able to complete a class because I have the person next to me on top of me. CorePower or literally any other studio in town is a better bet if you’re looking for good yoga.

I’ve been taking classes at both the Golden Triangle and Five Points studios for about 1 1/2 years now. This is a locally owned studio with extremely friendly, committed, and knowledgeable staff. Lots of variety of class times that makes it really easy to fit yoga into your schedule. Would love to see more 60+ folks coming out. Say yes. Give yoga a try at The River in Denver. My experience is that everyone is truly welcome.

Practicing yoga here has improved my life SO much! The instructors not only give you a fantastic flow workout, but they are so MINDFUL and PRESENT. Every day I practice there, I take a lesson with me that 100% improves the rest of my day. I've become motivated, lost weight, and am so much happier in my daily life. I was NOT expecting any of that - was just trying to get a good workout and keep my spine healthy! Ha!

Such a wonderful community with an eclectic group of instructors that share in-depth knowledge of the practice and more! The atmosphere is light and airy, adding to the clarity and state of mind you are left with as you leave the studio. The personal interactions with the instructors are what make the community thrive and bloom, so it feels like a place I can take anyone (new to the practice or experienced) and they feel the tribe vibe! I definitely recommend you pop in and see for yourself...
