This review is a long time coming! In my late forties, I started going to Training with Joe pre-covid. I wasn't motivated to work out on my own; I knew I needed accountability but not quite on a personal trainer level. I saw that Joe offered small group sessions in the form of a strength training circuit.
I was motivated to attend three times a week after work, I followed a meal plan that he suggested, and I noticed that I was losing about 2 lb a week safely and consistently. I felt good and noticed that my strength and cardio were both improving steadily.
What's nice about the sessions is that Joe is able to watch you and make sure that you are doing the exercises correctly. Everyone is able to work at their own level, and if you need more guidance or more of a challenge, he is able to provide that for you. It is obvious to me why he consistently wins Best of the Springs!

UPDATE: breast cancer in my early fifties. I got a hold of Joe again because strength training was highly recommended, and I was afraid of doing it incorrectly and injuring myself as I was very weak. I now go to Joe's facility 2 or 3 times a week and train without fear of hurting myself. I am motivated to go even though I struggle with motivation in general. Joe still meets everyone at their levels- be sure to communicate your limitations and how an exercise makes you feel!

I reached out to Joe in September 2025 because, as I was approaching 30, I felt sluggish, less active than I used to be, and my clothes weren’t fitting. The ordinary gym feels intimidating to me, and large group classes are overwhelming and overstimulating after a long workday. Training with Joe has been the complete opposite.

I reached out to Joe because I was going through a very rough patch in my life. I had gained a bunch of weight, and I was feeling very down and depressed. I saw Joe's gym while driving down the road one day and I decided to look him up. One of the best decisions I've made!

Joe has motivated me to get back into the gym on a consistent basis. I can say in the month that I have been here I’m already feeling better physically and mentally. I have been seeing Joe for a little over a month now. I had been sedentary to long and had lost a lot of muscle and my confidence. I used to hike a lot and enjoy the outdoors but I was having trouble even with simple household chores. Joe is an amazing trainer. I had a session with Joe while traveling from Alabama this week. He taught me some excellent tips to take back home and incorporate into my workout routine. One month of training with Joe lead to more progress than 9 months of trying myself.

I was a recent graduate of engineering college and over 5 years I left myself go heavily and gained about 30 LBS. I used to run track, I used to look fit, I used to feel better.

I thought after graduating, It would be easy to get in shape. I started eating right, going to the gym 5 days a week and...I only lost 6 LBS at best.... This was frustrating and its why I went to see him.

He has over 30 years of experience and it shows. Our sessions are 3 Days a week for an hour, and in only a month I have lost up to 14 lbs. **** 9 MONTH UPDATE ****

It has been 9 months since I have started working with Joe, and I cannot believe what has happened. My goal was to lose 20 lbs, and I lost that 3 months in. I had reached my goal, but Joe showed me I could do better.

In 9 months I have been the strongest I have ever been in my life. I can squat 345 LBS, I can chest press 55 lbs dumbbells on each arm (when I started I could only do 20 LBS) and the first time in my life I have strong arms! This is not just from working out, but working out with an expert. Joe is someone who pushes you to do better, to show what you can really be. He is not just a coach, but he is a good friend. I started working with Joe in September 2024. Turning 48 and being within striking distance of 50 motivated me to go into my 50s strong and I felt like hiring a trainer was the best way to do that. I did a lot of research, red a lot of reviews, and Joe’s name kept coming up.

In the 2 months we’ve been working together, I’ve lost about 12 lbs. Didn’t see much weight loss at first, but did feel myself getting stronger and my clothes fitting better/looser. People started noticing a difference, in fact, one of my good friends and my wife started working out with Joe after seeing the changes in me. After 2 months, I had my physical, and it was great to see that my triglycerides and my cholesterol had significantly reduced which were areas of concern for my health. I’ve also learned how to properly do exercises and movements that I had been doing wrong my entire life.

I do a mix of personal training sessions as well as the classes. I like the personalized sessions and how Joe listens to my goals and designs our workouts around those. The classes are small and allow for 1:1 guidance as well. He also works with me on nutrition in a way that doesn’t feel restrictive and focuses on the right things.

I came to Joe 2 years ago, needing to completely reintroduce my self into strength training, as that had been absent for many years, nearly at the point of muscle loss.

In the time since I have regained the proper muscle strength, retooled if you will , stretch more, and have been continuing re-building muscle which has helped to avoid injury and has helped me with my continued mobility to allow me to move and exercise properly. Not to mentioned the continued gains to my health including improvements to my bloodwork and overall physical and mental heath.

Looking for a Trainer look no further. No matter what skill level Joe has the knowledge, skill and patience to work with your level. Thinking I was experienced lifter just wanted to have some one to hold me accountable get me back. He surpassed my expectations and I found that his knowledge was beyond me that little change in movements would challenge me and humble me as well.

I discovered Joe through my boyfriend after noticing the incredible progress he was making, and I’m so glad I did! Joe was very generous enough to let me jump in on some of their morning sessions and it has been a wonderful experience!

I used to be a competitive swimmer in great shape, but nursing school brought a lot of stress and time commitments, which caused me to lose some motivation. I've been training with Joe for about 4 months now, and he is absolutely incredible. He has completely changed my life by the strength and techniques I learned working with him. On my first day, I was struggling to bench press the 8 pound weights, now I can comfortably get 12 reps with the 60 pound weights. I have osteopenia, which is slowly getting worse, and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in November 2022. I did not want to take medications for the diabetes and wanted to reverse it with diet and exercise. I also wanted to at least slow the progression of the osteopenia and try to prevent osteoporosis. I knew weight bearing exercise is what would slow the progression of the osteopenia; however, I do not like going to traditional gyms. I was looking for a personal trainer that would come to my home and train me with the equipment I already had. I reached out to Joe in February 2023 and he started training me in my home. We worked out 30 minutes, two times a week and I definitely felt the workout. It amazed me that I could get a full body workout in 30 minutes and I was feeling and seeing a difference in my body.

In May 2023 I had an injury, which Joe said we could work around. I chose to take a break because I was also going to OsteoStrong and had two major road trips in June and August. By the Fall of 2023 I did not feel like OsteoStrong was offering me the same benefits training with Joe offered. My membership was expiring in November 2023 and I was planning to call Joe; however, my husband had a stroke in November and that flipped my life upside down. He was in the Critical Care Unit for 3 days, the Cardiac Until for 3 days, and in patient rehabilitation for 3 weeks. He came home just before Christmas and the next 4 months was spent getting him to all of his appointments because he could not drive. During these 4 months, I did not focus on my health at all. I gained 20 pounds, my joints started hurting, and I had little energy.

In late April 2024 my husband was released to drive and I started focusing on myself again. I am 58 years old and I do not want to have osteoporosis, weak bones, joint pain, or diabetes (which is under control) as I get even older. I want to be able to enjoy being with my grandchildren and not have pain stop me from doing things with them. I want to have the best quality of life possible as I age, so I started training with Joe again. This time I am training at his studio. There are a lot more options than I have at home, yet I can still translate a lot of the workouts to home, using the equipment I have. I am starting to feel better and have more energy, and the more I train, the better my food choices are. I have a ways to go, but I am on the right track and have no doubt Joe will help me achieve my goals.

I started with Joe when I wasn't holding myself accountable for working out. I don't love traditional gyms, so this seemed the best route. I wanted to be more toned for my wedding while also developing better long-term habits. He listened to everything that I wanted, tailored workouts around existing injuries, and got me where I wanted to be. I felt so good and confident after working out, and I loved doing the shorter sessions a few times a week. (for reference, I started in February and got where I wanted in October by going 2x/week). It allowed me to work out on my lunch breaks and not feel like I was losing time elsewhere in the day. Joe is personable, professional and very good at pushing you in all the right ways. My experience and results at this facility has been nothing but amazing! My goal was to lose 20lbs in 3 months. With the help of Joe, Adele, and the other people attending I lost 20lbs in 6 weeks. I originally joined because I was at 163 and was trying different diets but was not losing any weight and was feeling bigger and buying bigger clothes each time. My first day in the gym after not being in a gym for 9 years was absolutely embarrassing. I was so out of shape that I could barely do the workouts for 50 seconds, walk up my home stairs, go in a hike, or play football with my boys. I first reached out to Joe in mid March. To say I was a train wreck would be an understatement. Stress, PCOS, Hashimoto's Disease, and a recent surgery had destroyed my metabolism, my mindset and my health. My despair was palpable. The idea of going to a gym was not only daunting, but the fear that I would embarrass myself or feel "gym judgement," kept me from getting the help I needed. When I finally had the courage to take a step toward improving my life, I began my research. Joe's Gym had the best reviews and I didn't have to wait around to receive a reply to my query (honestly, I was hoping he wouldn't reply- and I could put it off some more). It has been a month since I began my journey. I have been a competitive distance runner for nearly all my life and at 56 years old found myself plateaued. No matter how much I trained my race times were not getting faster. A friend at work invited me to join him in a men's strength training group led by Joe Ramirez.

The first couple weeks I felt a little clumsy and off balance. However, Joe was right there correcting my form, encouraging me, and soon I felt more in control of my body movement during the workouts.

After 3 months not only did I find my clothes fitting more comfortably, my posture improved dramatically, but with a stronger core my running speed has also improved. I recently set a new personal record on the Manitou Springs Incline of 31 minutes 24 seconds.

I learned about Joe through a mutual friend of ours, here in Colorado Springs. I asked her if there were any fitness trainers in Colorado Springs that could help me to prepare for the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT).

She responded with "Joe Ramirez”...with "Train With Joe”, he will get you where you need to be "if you are serious about it" which I was and still am. I am a military officer, a Captain in the Army and I am still required to pass the new Army Combat Fitness Test once per year IOT to stay active and make rank.

My husband and I started training with Joe in February 2022. I had my son in September of 2020 and prior to that, both my husband and I were very active. We went on hikes, went to the gym everyday, and I power lifted. Our diets were clean and we never ate junk food. During my pregnancy, I gained 80lbs, my husband gained some sympathy pounds, and I developed serious diastasis recti (separation of the large abdominal muscles). I had to have an emergent C-section which left my core in shambles. A year-and-a-half later, I still had pain and absolutely zero core strength or stability. I went from lifting heavy everyday to not being able to hold my legs up off the floor for more than 10sec. I felt defeated.

I had heard about Joe through the Best of the Springs. I was always curious because he has won numerous awards for his training and weight loss programs. I reached out to him and he called the same day to set up our appointments. After a month of training, I was seeing significant changes to my core! I was able to touch my elbows to my knees again, do setups and hold my legs out for about 20-30sec. Although not completely gone, the pain in my core has significantly decreased. Joe’s diet plan helped me lose 13 pounds in 6 weeks and total of 9 inches off my body—3 of those inches off my waist! I chose Joe because I needed consistency. I would always start working out, but after a few months, I would fall back into old habits. I also could never get a meal plan set. I’ve been thinking about keto for a long time, but never started. I needed the accountability.

I have learned so much about myself and what I am capable of over the last 9 months. Since January, I have lost 25lbs! My progress is slow but it’s steady and I am happy about that.

I’m able to do things I couldn’t do before. I can do regular push up, I can jump rope, I use heavier weights then when I started and I love the boxing. When I started, I hated doing ab work because I just couldn’t do it. I still hate ab work, but I am definitely better at it! Overall I feel stronger, healthier and more confident in my abilities.

I am stronger and more confident then I was when I first started. Something I have always wanted to do was learn to swim and Karate. Because of the work I put in, I finally found the confidence to start swimming and I just signed up for karate!

My favorite part was the camaraderie. There was a group of girls that would come consistently in the mornings. We would hold each other accountable and push each other. There were some days when I didn’t want to show up , but because I knew they would be there, I got up and did the work. I also really like that it was a smaller group so that we were coached to do things with the correct form. There was also a lot of variety. I liked that we learned new exercises regularly.

I am a 56 year old, recently retired teacher and have been training with Joe for the past four months. I was attracted to his gym by a Gazette article which also referenced current clients, their goals, progress and satisfaction.
The article left me curious; I had tried traditional gyms twice before and found them lacking in keeping me interested and coming back. Also, I knew I was going to retire, but really wanted to use the extra time to get back in shape, losing some of the pounds I had put on over time. So, I wanted to do something for my health, strength, bones and overall well-being, met with Joe for an interview and signed up for the boot camp program.
Best choice ever; at this time, I feel stronger, more flexible, and have lost, as a bonus, 17 pounds so far. Personally, after the last four months, I feel much better about myself, physically and mentally. I try to eat healthier. I kind of have been doing that for a while, but it's much more meaningful and focused now.

Honest unbias review. Honestly, service went down hill from when I last went here 3 years ago. In the 6 months I had been going to the group classes I contribute my weightloss to learning from other clients and trainer Ricky. Trainer ricky taught me most of stuff I know. He is one that truly puts best interest of clients in mind. Honestly everything there can be had at home. Nothing special other than small class sizes. Not worth the increasing rates for what you get (which is less equipment than a gym) he has very limited equipment to share between clients. When I last went it was nearly $200 for 3 days a week for a small space and low quality equipment. You can pay less than that anywhere else for unlimited group classes with better equipment and more space. Trust me I found better somewhere else with a complete friendly helpful staff, great equipment and monitored progress to keep you motivated seeing the actually stats. Look into other places before settling for here.

This is a great place to train! Joe offers some unique options without a bunch of glitz and glam. He has group classes which are done in the high intensity interval training style (HIIT). He also offer individualized private training. He is usually always positive and encouraging. His knowledge is endless when it comes to physical fitness. He pushes me to do more and to go harder even when I think I can’t. He loves to randomly surprise me with something new that he has pulled, from what he calls his vault, in his head. I talked to Joe and I told him my goals short term and long term and he knew exactly the type of training I needed. So we got started. I committed to 8 weeks of personal one on one sessions. It was 3 days a week for an hour, and after the first 4 weeks I couldn't believe the changes that were made physically. I was far more athletic looking than I ever had been. I was more broad up top than in my belly. I felt better. Had more energy and was ALWAYS excited for our next session. He worked closely on form with every rep when lifting or doing body weight exercises. It was extremely beneficial then and has been extremely beneficial now that I am regularly going to the gym. Knowing how to lift correctly, ensures that the muscles being targeted are actually being worked and it also prevents injury. Another thing he helped me with is patience, in that change doesn't come over night. It's a process, but with consistency, commitment and hard work, those changes will come.

Besides Joe being a great trainer, he is one of the kindest most encouraging people I have ever known. This was huge, considering I didn't want a juiced up drill instructor yelling at me telling me how to do things.

All this to say, training with Joe Ramirez for any amount of time will be well worth it and help you on your journey to wellness.

When I found Joe I knew my life had to change. I had 2 babies back to back and then 2 surgeries immediately after that. My stomach muscles definitely took a beating so I ended up just sitting and eating thru all that recovery time. I started coming to Joe with my mom at the end of September. At the beginning of September I weighed 340lbs and I hadn't worked out regularly in 10+ years. I have been ashamed of my body and embarrassed by my lack of stamina/endurance. My girlfriend Amy and I had moved to Colorado Springs between June and July last summer. Leading up to our move we had a number of going away parties, lots of friends to say good bye to, leading to us not working out as much as we want and eating poorly. We both fell out of shape and needed to make a change.

Once we were both in COS permanently, we found Joe online and went in for a consultation which turned into a full work out. We liked Joe’s approach towards personal training right off the bat. Joe has a way of being encouraging and making your push yourself, without the in your face intensity which we were not looking for in a trainer. We committed to 3 months twice a week with Joe (plus additional workouts on our own), changing our diet and taking a 21 day challenge. What makes this challenge even more appealing, Joe cut us a 2 for 1 couples deal, we go in for a couples session twice a week.

The results have been well worth it, we are about 6 weeks in so half way through the 3 month commitment. Our clothes fit better and some are even loose on us. Due to the diet recommendations Joe gave us, we are sleeping better and just feel great in general. We have lost about 10 lbs each and have each lost about 5-7% body fat in that time. So while we lost 10 lbs on the scale, we converted fat to muscle as well. Both of us are feeling strong!

Not only is our energy up, the changes we have made so far are making me personally feel more clear headed, focused and better about myself. Having always been in shape the majority of my life, seeing the pounds pack on during the move was frustrating and demotivating to do the things i enjoy most, like a nice long hike for example.

My experience with Joe and his company is a little different than most. I was the "skinny guy". I could eat what I wanted and not gain an ounce. This was good up to a point. At 6'2", I only weighed in at 128 lbs. While I wasn't unhealthy, I found out quickly that I couldn't do most of the things that I wanted to. Living here in Colorado, there's just so much to that is so much more enjoyable when you can move and lift and have the strength and stamina to hike, bike and just be able to enjoy the sights and sounds in and around our state. I knew that I was being held back by my own limitations. That’s when I decided to be proactive and actually do something about it. I ended up joining a gym and took advantage of their free consultation with a trainer.
That trainer turned out to be Joe Ramirez. From the first moment I met him and heard him speak about fitness, I knew this was the guy for me. My finances were strained at that time, but I knew that I could make it work, and Joe made it so easy to work with him. I signed up that same week and began work.
Training with Joe was fun and a fantastic learning experience. He worked me hard but was always there to support me. I can’t count how many times I didn’t think I could do something, or make that next rep, or complete that next cycle, that Joe knew I could do. And he wouldn’t let me give up until I did it. He was always right about that.
In the first 3 years of working out with Joe I put on 35 lbs. of muscle weight. This may not sound like a lot to some, but when you consider how fast my metabolism naturally worked and that I was downing between 6,000 to 7,000 calories a day to counter act that and still have the building blocks to build muscle, that’s a lot of weight for me. I saw results within the first 2 weeks of working out with Joe. A short time after that I noticed how that extra strength and stability helped me out in the real world. Suddenly I was snatching things up with one hand and carting it around like it was nothing, without even realizing it. Joe has been a fantastic resource since I’ve known him. Anytime I’ve had a question about fitness or nutrition, Joe always had an answer for me and it’s something that I’ve been able to depend on.
Now, all these years later, I am a healthy 210 lbs., a full 80 lbs. more than my starting weight when I met Joe! I hike, bike, play hockey and still enjoy going to the gym and getting a workout in. My stamina increased exponentially. I was moving heavy furniture by myself, with little or no trouble. My brother would remark about how no one could knock me from my skates while playing hockey. Even though I was giving up 25 to 30 lbs. more to bigger guys. There are know so many more things that I can do and experience now that I have a fitness background to fuel those goals. So many people ask me about fitness now, and I know the answers because of what Joe has taught me. It’s so much a part of my life now that it’s become second nature. I get told all the time about how I don’t look like my age, I’ve even had to pull out my ID to show my birthday because so many people don’t believe how old I am, because of how I look! I’ve recently started to learn how to kayak now, another activity that I wouldn’t have been able to do back in the day.
I thank Joe every time I see him. He has helped me so much and was invested in my success so much, that I had no doubt that I would reach my goals. He’s like a part of my family now. On march 16th of 2016, I stepped on the scale and saw the number 300 show up for the first time in my life. I was struggling with my energy and could barely keep up with my kids. I was about to start buying bigger clothes as I was bulging out of my XXL shirts, squeezing into my size 44 pants, and buckling my belts tightly on the last notch.

One year under Joe's plan and I was down 102 LBS weighing in at 198. My shirt size down to a large and my waist size to a 34. I am so thankful that I was able to find Joe. Weightlifting a dull and my wife has been training with Joe for many years and she convinced me to give it a try because of the variety of exercises and the success she has had. Shocked doesn’t even begin to cover what I was feeling when I slipped into those size six pants. I was astound and amazed but most of all proud. Proud because I had pushed myself. Proud because I broken mental, physical barriers. Proud because I found new found strength and confidence within myself. When I began my journey with Joe on February 5th, I was 177lbs size 12 pants going on 14. I was distraught, desperate, and I felt broken. This wasn’t about the weight anymore, this was about me, I needed change. And Joe did so much more than I could ever imagine. He provided guidance, accountability, resources, and support. I had lost more than 30lbs during my 90 Day challenge, but there were so many more victories than the number of the scale. I learned the importance of clean eating, meal prepping, and I learned to love myself. The journey wasn’t an easy one, but it was worth more than words can describe. Joe didn’t just help transform body, but my way of thinking. He changed he way I saw myself and others. And the girls there, are beyond amazing, each one is going through their own journey, through their own pace. They cheer you on every step of the way, I have never met a group so welcoming and loving.

177lbs. That's what I weighed at on my 23rd birthday, mind you, I'm shorter than 5'0". Frustrated wouldn't even begin to describe how I was feeling. I was desperate and I knew something needed to change. Before finding Joe, I went through everything; "work out buddies", Insanity, cleanses, diets, diet pills and I even went the lengths to try phentermine. It wasn't even about the weight at this point, it was the feeling that I had lost control of the direction my life was going. Eating became a symptom of how I dealt with the issues in my life. I created a physical and mental barrier to keep others and myself out.

A force, a voice, my spirit - whatever you wanna call it, kept tugging at me to not give up to keep fighting and that's how I found Joe. I spent about a month looking at gyms, and personal trainers within Colorado Springs searching for a solution. At this point I was pretty self-aware of what my downfalls were, and what areas I needed help with. First and foremost, I needed someone to help keep me accountable, to be tough and to call me out on my excuses and b.s. To straight up ask me why I missed a planned session. I needed someone to keep me on track on what I was eating and how much. I needed someone that was going to push and show me what tough love was really all about. Joe was this and so much beyond what I truly expected. If I had to compare him to someone, I couldn't, he's one of a kind. He's tough, kind, caring, compassionate, passionate but above all else, he's firm. He keeps you on your toes and pushes you. He provide's guidance, and builds you up. He provided a day-by-day nutrition guide that included a grocery list to that helped me find the right foods and even included delicious recipes. I've been able to transform my eating habits and have learned how to meal prep. The environment is amazing!! Everyone is encouraging and wants you to succeed.

In just 5 and 1/2 weeks I've lost 25lbs.! My most proudest moment wasn't fitting into a size medium, or when my clothes started to fit loose, it's the strength and mental toughness I been able to build during this time. My body is finally transforming into a mean muscle machine! So much so that I’ve had to make three separate Target runs just to buy new workout clothes! I feel lighter, leaner and I actually I’m starting to love my body!! And I have energy!!! Which is crazy!! Because that never used to happen before. I’m finally becoming the person that I wanted to be. Someone who doesn't give, who pushes herself, and who’s strong. If this is the transformation that happens in less than six weeks, I can't wait to see what else the future holds. For anyone looking at Joe's program, my best advice to you is to do the work and focus on results later and remember, don't compare your chapter 1 to someone's chapter 21 or 23 ;).

A friend kept going on about this amazing boot camp she was attending and loving, but ever the skeptic, I kept shrugging it off. I have two young children, I am a busy Mom and didn't know if I could or wanted to commit. Finally, I tagged along to class and saw what I had been missing.
I was absolutely hooked. The environment was non-threatening and energetic! It was ladies of all ages and all sizes who simply wanted to be healthier, better versions of themselves. That was February 15th.

At Joe's suggestion, I started his 21-Day Sugar Detox Challenge. Knowing I had a two week Florida vacation coming up where I would miss boot camp and be self-accountable, I was nervous but dove right in. I stuck with it and was strict, even amongst family barbeques and sunny beaches. On day 21, I stepped on the scale to see I was down 19 pounds!
I went to boot camp as much as possible over the next few months, but took a few weeks off in April. Even though I wasn't working out, I had changed my eating habits and make lifestyle changes. At one point, I even felt like I had plateaued and that the weight wasn't coming off anymore...however, when we did my 60 day weigh in and I was proven wrong. I started back up in May and got back in the swing. The amount of energy I had was amazing, and I was down 4 sizes!
What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas...literally! In Mid-May, my husband and I took a long weekend in Vegas, but didn't splurge too much on food or drink. As a result, at my 90 day weigh in the following week and the scale had gone down, AGAIN! I don't starve myself (quite the opposite really), I don't deprive myself of anything, I simply eat cleaner, healthier and make better choices.

Women's Boot Camp is addicting. The camaraderie and attitude of the women is inspiring and like a sisterhood. There is a great support network, Joe provides amazing resources and tools and the results are fast and consistent!
In two weeks (July 28) I am attending my 10 year college reunion. I am so proud and excited to see people I haven't talked to since college; so excited to wear a bathing suit; to plan my outfits and to show off my new "self".

I get asked all the time what I'm doing and how I've lost all this weight?! I tell people it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change...and "Body by Joe," haha!

In 30 days, I lost 20 pounds.
In 60 days, I lost 30 pounds.
In 90 days, I lost 40 pounds.

In 5 months I have lost almost 50 pounds. I have taken 2 vacations, skipped a month of boot camp and had "cheat" days. But I feel better in general, about myself and my energy level is hard to beat!

My daughter Hannah was the one who first started at Joe's, she right away took a liking to his class, and persuaded me to at least try it out. After the first class I felt a change already in my body already the following day, besides being sore :) If an exercise was to difficult Joe would modify it in a way I was capable of doing but yet still get a full work out in. Throughout my months being here with my daughter I have grown way stronger physically and mentally being able to push myself harder. I play softball in college and am currently home for the summer. I was looking for some type of training that would continue to push me and hold me accountable, while also mixing workouts up and challenging new muscles. As I turned 50, I was not happy with my size. I was getting bigger each year! I wanted to change! I am a kindergarten teacher. In this position, I have to get on the floor a lot with students. It was getting difficult! I hurt all over!
I started a bootcamp program that was offered through the school district. I really liked the regime of this type of workout. I would start an exercise routine, but could not stick with it. I knew Joe had a program as well. I decided to reach out to Joe 2 years ago. I have not turned back! I had heard boxing was a great exercise but I had no desire to get in a ring or hit anyone. I was having a hard time finding anything I really wanted, and then I found Joe. I drove to Springs and took his trial class and was sold. I WANTED to do this women's boxing fitness, but living in Pueblo presented a challenge. Fast forward 4 years, the time has finally come. I just finished my second month with Joe and I am couldn't be happier. I am not a person that loves to exercise but I look forward to going to work out with Joe. It is by far the best workout I have ever done. I am a mom of 5, I live an hour and 10 minutes away, to say the least is is a sacrafice in more than one way, but it totally worth every minute. I have never liked exercise, but coming to Joe'so is different. The classes are small and he is able to help each person on an individual level, which you don't find in other classes or gyms. In 4 years Joe could have given up on me and forgotten this stranger who lived in another town but as I would occasionally call to check on the program he always greated me with kindness and a readiness for me when the time was right and never any preasure. He has been excellent in me in teaching me how to have proper form and giving words of encouragement, and not just to me but everyone. He is fabulous! And the ladies in class are incredible, they are so kind and I feel comfortable around them, they build each other up and are willing to help you. It is like a community of friends because Joe really sets the tone of friendship and support. I really could keep going, but instead you should just come see for yourself. I wouldn't drive as far as I do, if there wasn't something to it! By the way, I have lost inches, wight and fat, and I am so excited to keep up the results.

Hi, I'm Lisa and I had been looking for a way to work out that I could stay with and see results. As a long time member of several other fitness clubs, I just could not find something that really worked for gaining strength and losing weight. Joe's Boot Camp has been a great place to continue my fitness journey. I have some health issues that make weight loss very difficult. I have purposed to focus on health and mobility. I have worked out for many years mostly weight lifting but I decided to change up what I have been doing to see if it would help. I was skeptical that I would enjoy the class or notice a difference. I was in Training with Joe since March. The reason I joined was because I just had my second Child on October and I lost so much weight in a hearbeat. My body was all loose. I was also Applying with the Denver Corrections department, didn't want to get hired all weak so I started looking for a place where I could tone up and get Strong ASAP. Googled places and found Joe's training spot! Literally within the first Month I started to SEE and FEEL changes in my body. I was very impressed with the results a month out. Joe will make sure you do you exercises Properly so that no injury occurs. IF you already have an injury like ME, a Herniated Disk, he will modify the exercises to prevent further injury. Months went by and I have NEVER felt So strong and confident. If you need to work on something specific or you want to work out harder and go all out, by all means you can!! Just ask Joe for advice on different more challenging Workouts! This place has it all!! Obviously, you need to come in here motivated and be committed to the see results you want. If you bring that in with you And you add Joe's perfect Training sessions, you will become what you always wanted to and reach those goals you never thought you could! I started the 21 day challenge with 4 other ladies from work after not being able to fit into my "Fat Pants" I was feeling discouraged and discussed with myself. Joe gave us an eating guide that was at first sight challenging but after embracing the changes it is now fun and exciting to make new healthy meals.. The workout is challenging but so much fun everyone is so supportive.. I am so excited to say after 21 days I have lost 13.5 pounds and 9.5 inches. I am 43 and I feel better now than I have in many years. OH and I don't fit into my "Fat Pants" they are now too big!!!!! Yeah!!! I have decided to stay with Joe and continue my new life style.. I started with Joe on the 21 day detox challenge with the ladies from work. It was hard at first having no sugar, no dairy, no grains, no coffee. The workout is intense but fun! The ladies are so helpful and supportive each other and Joe is always there to help and give you that little extra push! I lost 10 lbs in 23 days and lost 11 inches total. I began training with Joe at his women's only bootcamp just before Memorial weekend in 2016. I had wanted to start after the weekend because I knew I'd be eating and drinking a lot more than normal, but Joe convinced me to start the week before to increase my metabolism sooner. It was hard because my body wasn't used to doing these exercises, but it was fun and all the girls are supportive, friendly and fun. People always tell you that your metabolism slows down as you age, but I believe that if you keep exercising and eat right - age doesn't matter. I'm 41 and after doing the 21 day clean eating regime given to me by Joe: I lost 8 pounds and felt really good.

Now, I've been going to Joe's class 3 times a week for 4 months. I always feel good afterwards and there's a strong camaraderie between all us ladies. It's great when you feel your body change and realize that you've started to master exercises you struggled with in the beginning. Joe doesn't yell at you, but he does push you by tweaking the way you're holding yourself to make exercises more challenging. He makes sure your form is good and works with you if you're injured to show you variations on exercises. The music he chooses really pumps you up too!

I came to Joe's class not knowing anyone in Colorado Springs. Now I can say I have friends and I feel great and I can tell I am stronger. If you're not sure if you'll make it through a class or not sure you'll like it - come and check it out anyway. I guarantee you'll fall in love from day 1.

Really is a great program! Joe is a very understanding sweet person. I wasn't in the program for too long due to my crazy work schedule but I definitely felt the difference in how I felt. I had much more energy! The rice is definitely worth it!

I'm a 35 year old mom of 2 small children. I've been active all my life but after having 2 children I found it hard to stay disciplined. And although I've made it back to my pre pregnancy weight, I feel that my body is different in shape and stores fat in new places. I chose Joe to help get me back on track because he was near where we lived and he is rated as an excellent trainer. The women's only boot camp also meant that I could be around other women and that helped me feel more supported.
Exercise is easy for me but food management is not. The women's boot camp along with the 21 day program was the perfect combination to help me get back on track. In 21 days I saw a 6lb weight reduction and I saw consistent and healthy reduction in inches all over my body. I feel great and energized! I'm able to plan healthier meals for me and my family and we all make better choices. Physically I feel lighter, my clothes are looser and I have less water retention and hormonal eating.
Joe is an excellent motivator and positive role model. The program he has created is an easy way to make healthy changes. It was exactly what I needed and i would highly recommend his program.

JOE IS THE BEST!!
Little bit of background...2014, 45 years old 6'-0" 250 lbs. 2 years later 2016, 47 years old 168 lbs. During the 18 months of losing that much weight I also lost a lot of muscle. Needing to build muscle and wanting to get more SCULPTED and RIPPED I didn't know where to turn.

Being 47 years old, I wanted and needed to make sure that I was doing exercises correctly. (not something easily accomplished on your own). I had started to run but needed more. I needed and wanted to "BULK UP".

Years of doing construction work had taken a toll on my body. Specifically the joints. I injured my knee while trying to push too hard during one of my runs. At that time my wife was attending one of Joe's Boot Camps. She said I should come try it out. I did and the rest is history.

Joe is an expert in what he does. He is able to customize workouts around any injuries and get that area strong again. I am able to run once again on my "off" days (days I am not at Joe's). He is a tremendous asset in helping me to build back muscle and getting me that CHISELED look I want. As a father of three teenagers I have a ton more energy than I used to. Now they have to try to keep up with me.

Joe has been tremendous in keeping me on track to accomplish the things I want and need to accomplish physically and nutritionally. I have been going to Joe since January 2016. My wife and I now bring our 15 year old (which has helped him tremendously with his strength and speed needed for baseball.

CS Women's Boot Camp is awesome. I'm a mom of four, in my early 40s and in need of losing some weight. I love to work out but struggle with food choices. WBC and Joe Ramirez gave me a 21-Day Detox Plan along with their work outs to work on meeting my goals. When I started, I was focused simply on the scale, but quickly learned that my focus needed to be fat loss, muscle gain, and loss in inches. I am an avid runner and competed in a few races last year. I suffered an injury that slowed my running and I had to find something else to balance things out. After going through 6 months of physical therapy, I was told that I had to work on my core and other troubled areas. I decided to join Joe’s women’s boot camp. Immediately, I was sore, sweaty, and out of breath. After just two and a half months, I have lost nearly 10 pounds and my balance, core, and stamina are stronger which makes running that much easier. I am a member of a high end fitness center in Colorado Springs, but nothing at that facility compares to Joe’s workouts. He gives you focus, tougher challenges, individualized attention, and modifications to work on your “trouble areas”. His boot camp is a non-threat, warm, and an encouraging environment. I was searching for personal trainers in Colorado Springs and I'm convinced I found the BEST! (After I chose Joe I heard about him from other people as well which has proven to be true.) Joe has pushed me as far as my body specifically needs to go to get results ... then cranks it up a bit at the next workout. He never lets routine set in, which keeps my body from getting too used to things - which leads to the best results holistically. Joe not only measures results with lost body weight, but also measures for lean muscle weight gain as well as fat weight loss. I've dropped significant pounds in total weight, but also have added muscle and lost even more fat weight than my total weight loss. I also appreciate Joe for what I would call 'gentle accountability' - without making me feel bad about things, but still feeling motivated to do the right thing with workouts and with how I eat. Coach Joe is AWESOME!!!!! Let me start there :)
My name is Marti, I'm in my 30's, and really needed to kick my workouts up a few notches. I had gotten bored with what I was doing and had reached an insurmountable (so it seemed) plateau.
Let me be clear, I wasn't in horrible shape to begin with, but had recently gone on about a 4 month binge of everything super decadent and was not working out nearly enough to keep up with it. More importantly I had recently had a pretty bad back injury that left me with chronic pain and extremely expensive chiropractic bills (which was really just a temporary fix). Most core-related exercises hurt and intimidated me at that point and made me fearful of even trying anything new.
In the first month of training with Joe, I lost almost 6 pounds of fat and 4 percent body fat. The definition in my abs was amazing and that was only the beginning! I was finally getting them back and even better, my back was no longer causing me any problems. I mean none at all. That's all thanks to Joe and his focus on strengthening my core, which I was previously terrified to even try. Needless to say, my chiropractor hasn't seem me since.
Looking back, I can see such a huge improvement both physically and emotionally. My stomach is so flat and defined, my clothes fit amazing, and the confidence I feel once again is priceless! We've all been in the dressing room and not loving what we see (or even being too scared to go in there in the first place). Not anymore! This is now my new "normal", but I love having reminders in the form of the responses I get from my friends and family. I even get asked to show people my stomach and their reactions crack me up! Joe is great! I am in my early 30's and I have struggled with losing weight after I had my daughter. I looked around as I was new to the area and I came across Joe. I chose Joe due to the successful results from his current/past clients and that I was able to go to a free one on one training session with him. I enjoyed it a lot. He asked me about my lifestyle, eating habits, and what areas I wanted to work on. He was able to tailor the work out that fit me best, therefore getting great results. He also provided me with a meal plan and tips for healthy eating. He was very motivational and when I felt like I couldn't keep going, he helps me to keep on pushing. After 2 months on personal training 1x a week I was down 15lbs, It felt like a lot more weight as the workouts we did helped to shape my body and I dropped 2 pant sizes.
