Quite a nice, well equipped facility. Locker room a little small. Some folks spend too much time on phone while on equipment, delaying the use of machine.

Beware of Amanda the Scammer.
I recently signed up for the Basic gym membership at VASA Fitness, which came with three free Studio classes. After my first free Flow class, Amanda was waiting for me outside the class and introduced herself as a manager to ask how my first class was. She then proceeded to offer me one free month of the Studio membership to give me more time to try more Studio classes, and that I had until the 28th to make any changes to my account at no charge. To make sure that I would not be charged, I then verbally re-confirmed with her if I could make any changes to my account before May 28th with no charge and she replied "Yes". Come May 27th, I went to change my account back to Basic, to which I was then told could not be done until 4 days later, which would be 3 days after the day I would be charged.
I later went back to speak to Amanda, and she proceeded to tell me that she "didn't recall" giving me a free trial and made no effort to fix the situation or offer me a credit/refund. So I proceeded to be charged $50 for a membership that I was told could be canceled within the time frame given to me at no charge.
Had I known what I know now I would never have agreed to this membership change.
There is nothing wrong with a sale as long as the seller is transparent, but my experience with this member was not, and is therefore highly dishonest, unprofessional, and unethical. I am likely not the first person that has had this experience and will not be the last.
So just be aware that when you are offered "one free month" of a more expensive membership, you are actually locked in for at least 6 months or you will be charged a downgrade fee.
These managers are bold-faced liars and should be ashamed of themselves.
Update 11/18/25: The issue was never resolved by the way, don’t let them lie to you.

I have been going to the Vasa Palmer Park location for about a month now. I am an older member new to working out. I don’t feel judged or self conscious because It is a very comfortable friendly atmosphere.
I have been seeing personal trainer Kyle once a week. He has been wonderful helping me.
The gym itself is very clean and the employees are very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. There are lots of classes and machines.

Ive been really impressed by the friendliness of the staff from the trainers to the kid care employees. I’ve never received nor witnessed any negative attitudes. Everybody is so helpful and willing to answer questions and give you time.
Everything is really clean and other gym members do a really good job of sanitizing the equipment. And there’s just so many amenities that other gems don’t have.
I just started my membership, but I’m looking forward to checking out everything.

****If You Like Waiting for Machines, This Gym’s for You
I really wanted to love this gym — has great equipment, and the staff are awesome. But the truth is, it’s always overcrowded. Morning, afternoon, night — it doesn’t matter. There’s never a good time to go without waiting forever for a machine or fighting for space.
It feels like they’ve sold way more memberships than the gym can handle, and it completely ruins the experience. Why isn’t there a membership limit? The gym itself is amazing, but it’s so packed that it’s nearly impossible to get a real workout in.
If you’re thinking about joining, I’d definitely recommend touring during the time you plan to work out — it’ll show you what you’re really signing up for. . If you don’t mind the crowds, you might enjoy it, but if you value space or efficiency, this might not be the best fit.
Unfortunately it is the best gym facility in this area.

Nice facility and seems like it’s well taken care of and cleaned. Could use some daily organization of plates. Still trying to figure out the best hours to come. Place seems to be consistently packed and always having to wait on a machine. Good luck on leg day. It does seem that some equipment has been broken or down for sometime as well.

The sauna has been out of order for weeks. Don’t waste your money upgrading your membership. I’ve reported the issue multiple times and received varying reasons. When I asked an employee if it was going to be fixed, they told me it “works in the afternoon,” which is clearly not a solution, and basically screws everyone in the mornings paying extra.
Why are we paying extra for amenities that don’t work?

A little over a year from opening and things aren't in great shape. Seems like every week for the last month another machine is broken. Things have been broken for over a month, making it harder to get on some equipment.
The parking lot wasn't designed, it seems, with the larger vehicles many of the customers have in mind.

Great facilities, nice staff & I appreciate they don’t lock the group fitness rooms like other gyms. I appreciate that I can get there early & set up & stretch. I also appreciate that they’ve adjusted the classes to allow for some downtime in between to give us the time to put everything away.

This location started out great. Large space, tons of equipment however it didn’t take long to fall into the vasa curse. Overcrowded, equipment breaks and stays broken for weeks. The machines in the pictures have been like this for over a month. Fighting the crowd isn’t the worse part however fighting the crowds over one machine because the others are not in working order is why 1 star. Do better.

If you’re looking for a fun-filled, drama-free dance fitness class, take JACKIE R’s Zumba class! Hands down, she’s one of the most sincere and caring people you will ever meet and is always there to encourage and inspire you or to even just lend an ear if need be.
The energy in her classes is unmatched! It’s always an upbeat and POSITIVE environment and she encourages everyone to be themselves, regardless of age or dancing ability (which isn’t required to take any of her classes!) Come see what you’ve been missing in your workout routine!

Don't go to this gym. If your ever done and want to move on, they won't let you. You cancel the gym they don't cancel you. We put the account on suspensions and paid that fee, they said we never paid it. Then we canceled after that suspension, and they said we didn't and still took money. I would go to Planet Fitness, if you need to something with the account they help you out. I had no problems with them and will be going back. Thanks for showing me how much I could miss that gym!

Vasa Gym on Palmer in Colorado Springs is the BEST! Okay to be perfectly honest - I have not visited any other Vasa location. It’s just that I have no desire to! Because here they have the best coaches, my earlier trainer Jake, my favorite coach Kevin, and not too mention all my favorite yoga instructors - Amanda is the very BEST yoga studio manager ever (again I have no experience with the other Vasa locations)
I do have one complaint - the - 12 hour cancellation time - I’m military - I don’t know anything 12 hours in advance. So what I do is book my classes once I’m in the parking lot. Because I don’t like fees - no show gets charged a fee. Mainly because allot of people are on standby for booked classes.

This gym is absolutely massive compared to the Cheyenne location. They have like 3 of some machines compared to Cheyenne only having one of each. Also have multiple stretching zones, and way way more plate machines and more stairsteppers.
Parking lot definitely seems a little more sketchy though as where Cheyenne has its own independant parking lot, this one shares with other buisnesses which could cause problems such as homeless loiters/solictors and potentially even higher theft rates.
Although where as Cheyenne is such a busy location being near a military base and being a much smaller gym, you will often find difficulties sticking to set workout routines due to machines always being occupied.
Both are located near commerical districts/epicenters so they are conviently placed.
Conclusion: Either are fine as a home gym, although I would say this location would be more intimidating to beginners.

I frequent this location, Nevada, and the newest location off union….
I come to this one because it’s closest to my work and just want to get my workout over with…
Without fail this location disappoints me EVERY TIME! Today is Saturday; they close at 8, i am here last minute but i time my workout perfectly to be out on time.
STEAM TURNED OFF AT 7:40 PM
SHOWERS are closed by 7:30 for cleaning….
If you close at 8 close at 8. Or put up a sign saying the facilities are closed 30 min prior..
NEVADA AND UNION do not do this. I can shower and use facilities up until closing time.
If you’re gonna close 30 min early to clean at least let that show… both other locations are just as clean without doing this shit. Rant over.
I also asked the front desk for some type of complaint form to keep this off Google (for their sake) but the worker told me to use Google ! 😆🥴

Terrible experience with VASA Fitness and their billing company. I signed up on April 27, 2024, and canceled a week after by email, and through the app.
They kept charging me anyway which I needed to call my bank and stop the charges. They’ve
ignored my emails and phone calls, and now have sent my account to collections for $236. I’ve been trying to reach them with no response at all.
This feels like a scam. If you join, keep every receipt and screenshot, because even if you cancel, they may keep charging you.

Nice gym, good equipment, cheap. My biggest complaint is that they have too many pieces of equipment people DO NOT USE (exs.belt squat machines (2 machines), ground base jammer (2 stations) and not enough machines that there are lines for (ex. hip thruster machine (1) ONLY ONE, there is ALWAYS a line for it and other things. Hello Corporate? Put eyes on what's not being used, get rid of it, realize what is in demand and get more. It ain't that hard, do better.

***Edit*** This place is over crowded.
It's dirty. The locker room hvac has years of dust. The classes for whatever reason leave their door open so you can't even hear your own music. And when you do close the door, the instructor throws a fit.
The GM needs to at least pretend they care or at least any of the staff. If it doesn't involve their phone, they don't car. In the words of Joey Swoll.. Do better!!

This gym has charged me three times for a cancellation. First for $100, second for $69.99, third for $44. Customer service said they could see the cancellation when the $69.99 charged was done but still told me the $44 dollars had to be paid two months later to “cancel” after the cancellation was already on her file. The Studio level membership is the best value in gym memberships, hands down.
The value really comes from the classes and amenities. The yoga classes are great, and give you what you'd expect from a yoga studio. Yoga studios generally charge $100 for four classes, but you can take unlimited yoga classes at Vasa for no extra cost. And the instructors are great. The LFT classes are weightlifting classes, that offer you what you'd get in a personal training session, saving you hundreds of dollars a month on private training. The HIIT classes, Bodypump, and Core classes are what you'd typically find at any gym. As a Studio member, you can attend any class, so it's entirely possible to train everyday and never have to use any of the floor machines or free weights in the general members area.
As for amenities, they offer a basketball court, pool, hot tub, sauna, red light therapy, and massage chairs. All included.
Note: If all you're looking for is a bare bones membership, Vasa probably isn't for you. The floor area has a fantastic selection of machines and free weights, but as other reviews have mentioned, it's packed in there at literally all hours of the day. Expect wait times. Often there's a line 3-5 deep of people waiting to use one piece of equipment. My advice to management would be to really study the equipment usage, get rid of the seldom used machines, and add more of the equipment that's popular. As Vasa continues to open new locations, it should take pressure off the current locations.
Service here is very good. I've had a few minor service issues, and have always been able to get a live person to help me out.
All in all, I think Vasa is the best value I've experienced in my 30+ years as a gym rat.

They have a fitness sled with rubber on the bottom. The friction makes it almost impossible to push. I can typically push up to 10 plates on there and that useless sled with rubber on the bottom makes it impossible to push 2 plates. Replace the sled please. Test it out and compare to the ones at the Filmore and Cheyenne locations if you don't believe me.

Dont come here if you enjoy sitting and waitng for machines at 4am. Over crowded, not enough equipment thats usable. Machines are always broken for weeks without any progress. Feels like they just want to fill up the place with bodies and not care if you workout or not. A cap on memberships or check-ins per hour would greatly decrease downtime. I get here at 4 in the morning and I have to wait to use something because theres only 1 machine of that movement. Locker rooms smell terrible, overcrowded can't change without standing in line for my locker. Another cash grab corporate gym. Find a private gym you'll have better luck.

Overcrowded every single time you go in in there. They have like 10 people working in the front desk and nobody keeping the locker rooms clean.
Update as of 8/3/25.
It’s nice you’re telling me to check your meter on Google. Oh what a professional Response that is. Not!! the locker room still looks like someone threw trash around. The front desk people are more interested in being on their phones. Overall, the locker room is a pigsty. Why Don’t you teach these employees that you hire to actually do their job that they’re being paid for? That’s something the management should be worried about, Unless they like throwing money down the drain. How times have changed used to have to work to get paid. As a healthcare professional if OSHA walked in there you would be shut down.. But an important question is do you even know what OSHA is or what they do? Do you even understand the capability that they have to really screw up your business? I’m just asking a question because that’s all you did. You didn’t even answer mine.
Before anyone even says OSHA can walk into any business establishment membership required or not if there is a health violation putting the public and or members at risk of being sick or endanger.
One other thing if you have to pay for a membership to be inside the club, what is with management and staff allowing people to pull out their phones and film every workout they’re doing cutting up equipment for one.
Two I’m not interested in being on someone’s social media because they catch me working out because they have to record everything they’re doing in the mirror. I don’t need to be in the reflection. Long story shorts vasa fitness has a lot more to handle than just tell someone to check the Google meter and not respond to the actual question. That’s being asked. Your gym is disgusting in you hire lazy people to work there.
When you walk into the locker room, not always is it filthy and disgusting, But it literally smells like urine.

The machines feel rough, need to add some grease to them specially the smith machine, that was horrible today lol Machines should be organized better too, put all the leg machines close by so people don’t gotta walk all across the gym to finish their leg day, smith being by the dumbbells is dumb. There’s also not enough cable equipment and a huge waiting line for kid care. I will stick to Cheyenne, they are THE BEST.

Potentially, this could have been a great gym. But the fact that its the dirtiest and smelliest gym I've ever been to, of this size, says enough. The locker room area, all the way out to the pool is hands down the dirtiest I've ever been to, and it is never better at any time of day or night. The shower stalls make you think you will catch something if you let your skin touch any surface. The showers and changing area smell so bad 24-7 and are covered in hair. The equipment is always filthy. I workout here almost every day out of convenience, and I have only on occasion ever seen a staff member cleaning on the workout floor. I'm going to be switching to villa or lifetime, cuz you get what you pay for.

Member since 2021 canceling now
GET A MEMBERSHIP IF YOU ENJOY SPENDING MORE TIME WAITING FOR EQUIPMENT OR A PLACE TO STAND THAN WORKING OUT!
Over packed, and the company continues to raise rates without raising quality or quantity. Its disappointing really, go to vasa if you want to wait for 15 minutes on each piece of equipment. I'd say it gets better when all the equipment is working but id be lying. I've gone at
4am-packed and I waited for equipment
11am-packed and I waited for equipment
3pm-packed and I waited for equipment
5pm-packed and I waited for equipment
10pm-packed and I waited for equipment
No matter what time you go be prepared to waste more time waiting for equipment or jeez even space for free weights or I mean even a single free weight at all.
And the corporate company is an absolute joke. Don't worry if you want to cancel. They will just charge you for that too
I fractured my ankle and I can't even get them to cancel my membership without price Gouging me for a month I can't even use. It's definitely not a people First, kind of company. I remember when the memberships used to be kind of worth it at $10 for the lowest membership.. that was slightly worth waiting 20 minutes for a stair climber.. oh, and if you would like to freeze your membership, they can do so for $15. If you pester them, they might even wave that for you.. and don't even think about trying to change to a cheaper membership if you have a higher one, because they will still charge you a $50 price guarantee for "quality"
At this point, you might as well spend the money on a private gym or just go to planet fitness. They can continue to open all of the most overcrowded, unsanitary, broken equipment facilities they want. It's not going to help.

Update: credit where it's due--Vasa did listen to their clients and flow on Tuesday and Thursday nights were saved. I can really appreciate a gym that listens to what their clientele want. So I am changing to 5 stars ⭐ I do love this location so much and I'm thankful for being one of many that were listened to and heard!
The only reason my partner and I signed up for the studio membership was for the flow night classes because with working hours this is the only time we can take it. Why would you think it's a good idea to take away an active class from people who can only go to the gym at night? Alexandria is an amazing flow instructor and the people who love taking flow at night deserve to be heard. Alexandria seems to have a very loyal following of people who want to take FLOW with her at night, not a meditation class.

Too crowded and too Getto. Yesterday there were two guys dribbling and playing basketball in the dumbell area in filp flops. Then an older man came out of the pool with still wet hair and started working out in a towel!! A towel and flip flops!! This is the second time I see this guy working out in a towel. Then the basketball goofs started vaping. Yes vaping!! In the gym!! Management does nothing. Horrible parking, tiny lockers and super crowded everything at all times of the day. Take your flip flops, smoke whatever you want, workout wet and in towels and definitely bring your tripod and record yourself for 30 minutes while everybody else waits for the machine. Do whatever you want, in Getto VASA, there are no rules!!

At around 12:30-1pm on July 16th, I was trying to join the week long fitness frenzy. I spoke with an incredible rude worker name Adriana, or maybe Ariana pronounced as Adriana. I have not been to vasa in two years and was thinking of signing up again, now I'm definitely not. I was asking Adriana questions about the fitness frenzy since it was not working on my end. She spoke to me with attitude and used a tone like I was an idiot. She said I could lay 15 bucks for a day pass, but I tried showing her the frenzy website and she proceeded to walk off to her manager, not letting me show her. She spoke to her manager who then told her to let me workout for the day and they'd need a district manager to figure it out. And when I asked more questions she kept saying she doesnt know in a condescending tone. I then thanked her for letting me workout and she said "youre welcome" like I cost her money and shes doing me this huge favor. She is extremely rude and the reason I won't sign up for vasa again.

The gym is filled with a variety of equipment, activities/classes that suits all people. The gym also include a basketball ball court, a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room.
Big shout out to Cheryl and April (Mixxed Fit instructors) for their vibrant vibe and energy they bring to their classes. I look forward to participating in other classes with more amazing instructors. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Have had several issues with this gym just in the last month, even though my husband and I have been here since they opened. First, we went to the pool 2 hours before closing, finished up 1 hour before closing, and I had to fight with the cleaning lady to take a shower because she was trying to leave early. Had her whole (female) family in the locker room with her waiting for her to finish. Told me to just change in a bathroom stall even though I'm sopping wet. I refused and she got pissed off enough to say "oh my god go shower then". I can understand if the gym was about to close but there was still a good hour and 15 minutes left. I also question the cleanliness of those shower stalls. She was moving so fast with the mop once through each stall. Nothing about that felt sanitary at all. I can't believe I'm paying this much to be treated like a nuisance. My husband and I changed our entire gym schedule (not easy) just so we don't have to deal with her again. She was able to keep several other ladies from using the shower as well but I'm sorry, I'm paying to be here and I wasn't having it. Secondly, I usually go to Studio Flow in the mornings. Usually no issues, and is my favorite part of Vasa. But today I was literally 1 MINUTE late, maybe even 30 seconds because my phone app wouldn't open fast enough to sign in, and I was locked out. Now I have to pay a fee for missing. Didn't realize we were back in high school and are reprimanded for being over 30 seconds late. I've had other instructors let people in several minutes past the start time. I could mention other reasons this is a 2 star review, like how the parking lot is full of potholes, and only big enough for something the size of a mini Cooper, but I'll leave it at that.

Ive been coming to vasa for 5 months now, the front staff isn’t always the friendliest ( no greeting, barely any acknowledgment) which is off putting, however all instructors specifically Alexandria for flow, Ezra for deep stretch and Jackie for Zumba.
Jackie is AMAZING! She gives all her energy and you can tell she loves her classes! She’s so encouraging and always willing to help out if we aren’t understanding something.
Ezra is INCREDIBLE ! I always feel so relaxed after her classes. I love how she gives variations and truly look forward to Mondays with her!
Alexandria is FANTASTIC! flow class was so enjoyable I signed up for studio classes so I could take them every week. I love her aura and and how she engages with the class!

I have the studio membership so that I have access to everything in the gym. Their new manager, Leah, will not let me have access to things at the gym that are included in my membership (like the InBody machine) because she wants to sell me personal training and I don’t want a personal training consult. Insanity. I will now drive across town to use a different gym because they will let me have access to all the equipment I pay for on my monthly membership. Bad management. Terrible to mirror bad management to your employees instead of admitting you’re wrong and don’t know about what you’re actually selling.

Taking the Flow class with Alexandria has been one of the most grounding and transformative parts of my journey. Her gentle guidance, calming presence, and intentional sequencing create such a beautiful, safe space to connect mind, body, and breath. I always leave feeling more centered, stronger, and deeply at peace.
Her energy is so genuine! it's clear she teaches from the heart. Thank you for creating a space where I can not only grow physically, but also release, reset, and return to myself. I’m incredibly grateful for the way you lead, hold space, and pour your passion into every class.

It has a pretty great selection of machines and amenities... when they're available. I've gone like 4 times in the past month to swim just to have to go home due to their pool being closed every week. I recently saw all 4 of their hip abductors out of commission for 3 days. A renovation for "elite" members shutting down 4-5 benches for a couple weeks at the moment. Coming from PF, I want to love it. But even PF had hip abductors available at all times. And without a readily available pool and free bar benches, I might as well go back and pay less for a membership.
Other than the constantly shut down amenities, it's almost always busy, which is just something we have to put up with. Lines for any type of fly machine, sometimes having to wait for a free weight bench. I don't think i've done a chest/back day without waiting in at least 2-3 lines.
When the gym is functioning to its fullest, it's pretty great. Pool is clean with a fair amount of room to get some laps in, like I said great amount of machines and amenities (as compared to PF). I took a couple classes from the free Studio Red thing and they're pretty amazing, instructor seemed experienced and the Deep Stretch session I attended was just what I needed. Staff is generally very kind, with a couple of outliers. I'll give it another month or two before making a final decision. I need that pool 😥

Love the studio classes. Especially the yoga and stretch classes, the red light therapy, massage chairs and sauna. The yoga instructors, Christin, Alexandria, Amanda, Missy and Sebastian are awesome.
The reason I give 3 stars is because I pay for a premium membership. And the gym is constantly having promotions that allow the Poors that don’t pay for the premium services to invade. On the promotion days people will reserve spots and members that pay for the premium services end up having to compete for space. It’s not okay that I can’t take my normally scheduled class I pay for so somebody that doesn’t pay gets a chance to try.
If the gym wants to do charity class they should schedule special charity class times that don’t disrupt and displace members that pay for premium memberships.

I’ve been a loyal gym goer at this location for a while, especially because the 7pm Yoga Flow class with Alexandra it’s the perfect fit for my schedule after work. Alexandra is one of the best instructors here her classes are challenging, well-structured, and exactly what I need.
Now the studio has replaced this class with Restore sessions which is a huge letdown. The 7pm slot was the only time that worked for me, and taking away an active flow option feels like a disregard for students who rely on that class. now with this new change i won’t be able to attend a flow class after work with Alexandria, which is a shame because Alexandra is incredible.

Update III: After almost 1 year of this gym being open, it is still not getting any better. Corporate still doesn't care about what the customer's want , rather only what they want. Like yet another renovation going on right now to disturb your workout to add an amenity for the elite level memberships only, instead of putting in something to improve other areas that are lacking like the cardio or relaxation areas, hiring a security guard for the ghetto parking lot, or even making the lockers rooms larger. Alas, this place doesn't care about the customer's concerns. I bet their retention rate for keeping members is on the decline. Keep doing what your doing corporate people! I wonder what dumb ideas they will have for the next location in the works.
Gotta go to K-mart! Horrible new gym with horrible selection of brand new equipment with a massive power lifting area and something for everyone. If you are too critical for this new gym on the east side, I hear really good things about the planet fitness down the street. Yeah there are a few things to improve on: locker room changing area is miniature, it could def be a few degrees cooler (which might have something to do with the 'red light therapy' vertical machine heating up the whole gym and the overly complicated massage chair area). For critical gym rats that demand more, there is always lifetime fitness much farther away for $150+ a month. Overall, I would not recommend coming here due to parking, busyness, horrible staff, bad lighting, lack of lockers / locker room area, not enough equipment, expensive elite level amenities, etc. Update: Also, I have to say that for some reason, this gym has the worst etiquette from the club members of any gym I've been to. Talking about the pool area turning into a bath house, no one re-racking their weights, people in the vain/ narcissistic area who can only do exercises with a mirror in front of them, people filming each other, and people who have no concept of the fact that someone else might actually want to use that piece of equipment they're on while they take their sweet time playing on their phone, etc. Update II: This gym is a lost cause. They don't give a darn about the member's legitimate concerns. This location has been open for 8 months now and they are still messing with the roof! The other day, there was a construction guy literally spray painting the ceiling inside right above people trying to work out. I don't know why VASA asks for people's input on surveys because all that happens is corporate and the gym management takes turn passing the blame off to each other with nothing actually being done. The gym is burning hot every time with no fresh AC and the fans being turned off. The air is nasty and stagnant which is not suitable in exercise science standards. This could* be the best gym in CS but instead, management dropped the ball and just doesn't give a darn about making any proactive changes for the members. What a waste of potential.

Not a bad gym. Gets packed like most gyms. Locker room changing area is small. Locker rooms have a horrible layout. Takes a long time for equipment to be repaired when broken. Horrible service at the gym today. Walked in to get something from revive at around 2:30-3ish and went to get something form point of sale and use my $5 credit that I’m always reminded i have. I went to pay and the bigger redhead guy on the pos 3 desk was super disrespectful to me and my family. I feel very disrespected and feel like the front desk workers need to work on their basic customer service and manners. Very disappointed with this service and have had multiple other issues that I and my family and even friends have complained about. I know they’ve been asking for reviews so here’s that review and if I don’t see anything change in the treatment of the members then my friends might be able to leave some reviews as well…do better VASA.

I watched this being built and was so happy when you finely opened.
Then to meet Sharon and have her as an instructor for aqua was such a good pairing for me. She pays attention to people's needs and challenges each and everyone of us. She's got her eyes on us.
She's got so much energy and makes the classes so much fun.
The instructors she trains, they've got some big shoes to fill.
I said I wouldn't drive to filmore but when I met Sharon I followed her and was at her classes that she taught. Now 2 days a week isn't enough for me. I'd like to see her for 5 days but I'd settle for 3 a week.
Hopefully we can have another aqua class added to the schedule.
I do Chelsea's classes at night now that its light out and warming up. Chelsea's got alot of energy and she's filling those big shoes. Sharon did a fantastic job of training her.
I hadn't been to a gym for 30 yrs. But now I look so forward to coming and seeing these 2 ladies and working out with them.

I’ve been going to this location since they opened back in August, and although they have a good spread of equipment, I have a few issues with this gym. The first is the membership tiers they offer. I selected their middle membership tier, at $25 a month, because they advertised that there was additional amenities to the membership that you would get over a basic membership. However, there is nothing in place to ensure that people with a basic membership are not abusing the system and using amenities they don’t pay for. The sauna and pool area gets slammed regularly, but there are people using them that are only paying $10 a month, versus everyone else who is paying extra because of what was advertised. In reality, everyone could just switch their membership to a basic level and be able to use everything in the gym since they don’t have any accountability.
The next issue is the utilization of the space they have. They have four functional rooms that they use for certain classes; studio red, yoga, cycling, and some sort of Zumba/Jazzercise. Outside of the studio red, the other three rooms barely get used. The reason I bring that up is because the male locker room changing area is so small. it would’ve been nice if they would’ve given some extra space so dudes aren’t on top of each other when they’re trying to get ready.
The last problem I have with this gym is the parking lot. The maintenance of it is terrible and there are potholes everywhere. Also, whoever they got to line out the parking spaces did a terrible job. If you try to park in front of the building, be prepared not to be able to maneuver your car into a space they made the aisles so close together, you can barely fit two cars Passing down it.

Now this isn’t criteria for not selecting Vasa as your choice of gyms to choose from but may contribute.
I’ve had the higher tier selection for about 5 years, where you can workout at any location. I moved a while back for work and my “home gym” was still set as the old location. When I tried changing it to a basic membership at the powers location my “home gym” still showed the old location. They charge you for switching your “home gym” 25.00. Granted, if you have the higher tier this isn’t an issue. But if you settle somewhere or move and only need one location why do you have to pay a penalty? And that’s what it is, a fee that has no justification. You could easily do this on your app or I think they do. A flick of their pen. Either way it’s a back-handed fee that needs to be corrected.
In no way should the staff be to blame for this. I understand the reasoning behind a basic membership and the limited options that comes with it. But that should be it! You are only allowed amenities of THAT gym. You shouldn’t be charged for choosing another gym (if you move).
Having this conversation was like a circular “who’s on first conversation”. The whole time I’m thinking, “Can’t she see that I should have switched my home gym before I downgraded my membership to basic- put in a service request that my home gym was never transferred to a new location?” A flick of the keypad. Somebody else came over and did it. We’ll see.
I worked a lot of crappy jobs and understand customers can be challenging. She really was trying her best and isn’t any of the staff’s fault. It’s a bad policy that will hurt Vasa more than it will generate revenue.
Side note: All the phone-tripods are getting ridiculous. I don’t want to be recorded. I think that’s fair. Why can’t you just see the exercise performed properly and do it. It may take 200 reps but you’re going to get there. You don’t need to stare at yourself doing it wrong over and to do it right.

I’ve been going to VASA for years now and after moving across town I started going the powers location. I will now drive back across town to the Filmore and Nevada location because of the laziness and the attitudes on the employees here. Everyone at the other location is friendly and smiles, here it’s like if you even ask the most minute question or to use the red light, which I pay for in my membership, you’re met with attitude and like it’s an inconvenience for them to do the job they’re literally there to do. The one exception to this rule I’ve come across is Dion, great guy, but as someone who works in the service industry and it’s literally one of my sole job responsibilities to have a good attitude and demeanor when speaking to guests I find it crazy to come across a whole mass of employees, front desk and PTs, who because of their negative attitudes make the whole gym going experience terrible at this location.

Good value but unfortunately they want to get rid if cycle classes for LFT! The whole side of part of the gym is devoted to lifters. Why get rid of a class that many of us want and attend? I would do the new LFT class as well but cycle is a super workout that burns more calories than all other classes including studio red. There is definitely room for all classes. Besides the cycle room is quite small to be a LFT room the group fitness room would be better and still keep classes for all. Keep cycle!

There's plenty of equipment (though you may still have to wait to use equipment at peak times) and I absolutely love the sauna! The fitness membership includes basic classes and the more expensive membership includes additional classes and benefits.

I like this gym, however I have one complaint... the facility is enormous, but yet it is extremely crowded all of the time. The cardio area is extremely limited for a gym this size with this many members. They could easily double the amount of cardio machines and still not have enough during peak hours. They could have better used the space they have by increasing the cardio area.

Not very happy. Signed up for a free trial and unfortunately due to Covid and other illnesses in the family were never able to attend. Tried to cancel but due to charges already posted we were not able to cancel. Tried making payments not realizing they wouldn’t stop membership until caught up, but got sent to collection and now being charged 9 months worth of gym when only technically was a member for 4 months but never was able to attend not even once. Big scam. Wouldn’t recommend.
