My niece Luna has attended other Karate classes and this Martial Arts Program has beat them all ! I absolutely love how they have not just 1-2 instructors per class but various ones that are very helpful and kind yet also very firm to discipline the kids in a friendly matter. Different belts never separates them but they still all get the training according to— which I love and haven’t seen in the other programs my niece has attended. If I had my own kids you bet I’d bring them here first no doubt! Luna enjoys her time there and is always super excited to attend her lessons. She’s made good friends and is fond of her instructors! My son has been doing Taekwondo at Venture Central Park for 3 or 4 years now. This is his second year on the competition team. He loves it! We started him with Taekwondo to help him learn responsibility, goal setting, perseverance as well as to get regular physically activity. The instructors here are amazing! They are so good at helping kids work through frustration and motivating them to keep trying to improve physically and mentally. It is pricey and there's always more things to pay for between gear and tournaments (if you go to them) but it has helped our son grow so much in character, confidence, maturity and strength. He's also made great friends in his classes.

Taking my son to Venture Martial Arts was the best choice I could have made. My 4yo before VMA was always in front of the screen right after school. Since he started with Venture, he is becoming more and more active everyday and doesn’t care much about TV anymore. My son can get distracted very easily, but because there are so many instructors, they are easily able to re-direct him and keep him focused. When my daughter was in preschool, there were boys that would pick on her (she is Asian and attended a preschool with predominantly caucasian children). To help give her confidence to deal with the bullies, we started her at Venture Martial Arts at the age of 4 (she's now 11). She has built so much confidence, determination, physical skill and integrity, all of which we credit to Venture. Our experience at Venture in the past few months has been mixed. The instructors and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, there are far too many kids in each class for the lessons to be taught effectively. Since there is no sign up requirement for each class, it is not uncommon to have over 20 kids in each session. As a result, each kid does not get the individual attention necessary to learn and progress. While they typically have 4 instructors at each session, they are unable to keep up with so many kids. The classes also do not continue along a specific learning path through each technique. Rather, different week's lessons are constantly hijacked for the needs of those with upcoming testing, instead of having separate sessions for those individuals to focus on what they need to learn. There was no introductory session to learn even the basic stances. When I brought up our concerns with Venture staff about the large number of kids in each class, I was told that it was temporary and would go down after testing was completed. It has not. I am hopeful that Venture will implement some changes to better serve the needs of each kid.

Enthusiastic, dedicated instructors make the difference. This place is amazing for my kid. Once you’ve been coming for a few sessions, everyone knows your name and greets you on the way in. They really seem to care about each student’s progress. Nobody gets left behind. And kids who are doing great (as they all do from time to time) are encouraged to surge when appropriate.

We have been so happy with Venture Martial Arts! My 6 year old son says “I like their equipment and how they clean with their cleaning supplies. They are friendly and they hold high standards for students”.
They kept classes going remotely via 1:1 and whole group options during the stay-at-home orders.
Now they offer in-person classes and they are small, well-spaced and clean. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful and they really know, and totally get, my son!

These guys are wonderful. During the COVID restrictions, they made sure instruction was available online and even scheduled weekly private instructor sessions.
I don't know how they could have done things better. They communicated well about the almost daily changes in COVID regulations.

This place is excellent. My son was fighting in school, so I enrolled him here and within a week he turned right around. Not only did he stop fighting, but his grades started getting better and better. I highly recommend Stapleton Family Karate.

However, their business practices leaves something to be desired. I gave a month's notice to cancel my contract and through some miscommunications I was charged another 2 months. They agreed in writing to refund me the money. I got one month back and still 2 weeks later am awaiting the other month. When I asked they said that it takes a couple business days. Well it's been more than a couple and I now have to put in a dispute with my bank to try that route.

I truly recommend them for what they do. Just watch your payment method.
