Such a frustrating experience. I was a member primarily for the pool. The pool was constantly dirty and staff seemed unwilling to clean it. I canceled my membership because it seemed very overpriced for what I was actually getting and they continued to charge my account. I called many times to try and resolve the issue and get my money back. It has been almost two months and they still refuse to resolve the issue or refund my money.

This gym has got to be next to the gym that used to be on n academy in the old 24 fitness in service. For a gym that costs almost 200 a month their service sucks. The pool water was always cold, their gym and cardio equipment were always broken, their aquatics program was always changing schedules with no notifications until u showed up and missed a lesson and it seems to be an act of god to cancel your membership. Word of advice you'd be better to go to vasa or planet fitness. Very disappointing place!!

This club is obviously doing so poorly that when you cancel your membership they continue to charge you and are unable? To reimburse you for the extra months charged after cancelation. They used to have amazing classes and great customer service. Not anymore

I have been going to Villa Sports for many years. I love the variety of pools, activities and pools for my granddaughter and the new updates for the bathrooms and showers. It is a wonderful place to workout and relax with the hot tubs, sauna and steamroom.

Great gym especially with having kids. We have been going for 5 years and both of our boys love it. They rotate classes inside the daycare so it never gets old. All the employees are super friendly, jo, lacey and Kristen are the best!

I’m sorry to say, but I do like Villa sport however since they’ve changed their app it’s been an horrific experience. I also notified management of the unsanitary conditions with people wearing their gym, clothes and tennis shoes into the sauna, which is horrific and of course, no response concerning my complaint.

Find another gym.

Dope. Sales team is legit. Who i believe was the lead gave me insight about where to live in the area I hadn't gotten elsewhere. Ignore the weirdos "working out" and it's a nice gym. The amenities make it barely a gym. Highly recommended.

The gym is excellent. The amenities are outstanding. The childcare service is exceptionally good, and the staff is wonderful. My children thoroughly enjoy their time there. They are also very excited about the crafts. When I arrive to pick them up, I eagerly anticipate hearing about their day. They consistently mention a particular teacher who is always very kind and engages them in crafts and games. The sauna and steam rooms are quite pleasant. I will certainly continue to visit the gym.Thank to everyone

One major positive is it may have some of the best views of any gym in the country from a few treadmills. They could remodel to exploit this great feature even more.

Was a member here for several years and will likely go back at some point if there are no other options. I never had issues with the staff and the other members were great. As someone who never uses the pools, Saunas, whirlpools or classes, it is very expensive. They could really use a price tier for those who just use weights and cardio like so many gyms do. But honestly the price did not bother me as much as the really inadequate lifting area for the number of members of the gym.

There is little thought to the organization or makeup of the machines. At least last I was there they had 1 leg extension machine (1 other leg extension machine that short people only could use), 1 hack squat, 1 leg press, 2 similar machines on the other side of the gym, 2 leg curl machines. You get one person spending 30 minutes on a machine and your whole workout is shot. Now compare that to the discount gym that just opened up (which is admittedly horribly crowded and has no parking) But they have 3 leg extension machine, 2 hack squat and 2 leg press machines (all side by side) plus other similar machines, and 4 leg curl machines. You still have people who camp machines, but there are enough machines that you can get one at some point. Also similar machines are relatively close, not clear across the gym like Villa. I could keep going here, there are many more examples of far too few of certain weights and machines, and more examples of having to walk across the gym or upstairs to see if a similar machine is open. It's an abysmal lifting experience for this expensive of a gym.

The next biggest gripe I had was that I'd never been in a gym that was so slow at maintaining equipment. And I've been a member at many discount gyms. Some broken equipment sat for months and several broken cardio machines would never get looked at after getting reported for their motors failing.

Anyway, not as bad as many reviews say, but they really need to put some thought into the lifting area and maybe remodel to get rid of so much empty space. I probably would go back in a heartbeat even with the expensive dues if they fixed the lifting area (more equipment and better organization). Funny in chatting with other former villa members at the discount gym now, how many had the same gripe about how bad the lifting area is. Will update when I rejoin and they have gotten better.

I’ve been a member of this club for a while now, & I’m really glad they finally did some maintenance on the parking lot. There used to be many potholes, but now it’s much better. It’s nice to see that they care about their members and are making improvements!

We originally signed up to get our kids into swimming lessons about six months ago. When signing up the guy said he would notify the person in charge of swimming lessons and I should hear something within the next few days. We waited one week and hadn’t heard anything. I called and we were told to call/email Ellie. I called and left a few messages, I had emailed, and spoke with a few different people at the front desk, and I even called corporate. I cancelled our membership last week being we hadn’t heard back from Ellie. She called today! However, our membership has been cancelled. I let her know everything and she said this is the first time she has heard anything. We paid over $300 monthly and were going to pay for swim lessons as well. I do not know where the miscommunication was, (If there was any because she never got back to us until now) but after reaching out multiple times and to hear back when we cancelled does not make sense to me. This was just our experience, and why the rating is 1 ⭐️. The gym itself and the daycare are fabulous!

I’ve been a member here since March 2024, and although the fees are high, it is near my home. I won’t bore you with a long review, just list my issues/cons:

Pro: They finally upgraded/renovated the showers, much better.

Pro: They bought some new treadmills that actually connect to Bluetooth devices. Now they need some new reclining bikes.

Pro: They finally patched the huge holes in the parking lot.

Con: A lot of the exercise equipment is old, can’t connect it to my watch or phone. The fact that there is an old Apple 30-pin connector sticking out tells you everything (the Apple 30-pin ceased production in 2014). There are some newer treadmills but half the exercise bikes are antiques and don’t have bluetooth capabilities.

Con: There seems to be little repair work or maintenance being done, just basic upkeep. There is a propane fireplace outside, which looks nice. However, a lot of the stonework is falling off, or has fallen off and looks cheap. Can this company not afford to hire one maintenance worker or handyman to patch this up?

Con: The company seems to only want to hire teenagers, which is ok, but every time it snows, they close down the gym because “a lot of our staff are teenagers and we want them to go home and be safe and not have to drive”. Well, that seems to benefit the kids, but not the customers.

Con: The cleanliness leaves much to be desired. For $100 a month, and only hiring teenagers, you’d think they could find someone to clean the machines and bathrooms? Some of the treadmills have a thick layer of dust, and then someone uses the machines and sweats all over it and now it is more nasty.

I’ve often gone to use the restrooms to find them with no toilet paper or paper towels, and the trash bins overflowing.

Con: During the summer, VillaSport offers what it calls “Summer Camp”, and every screaming kid within 5 miles comes in and takes over the pool and basketball court. I pay a fee to be able to shoot hoops, but from school ending until like late August, you can forget it. And forget about using the outdoor pool in the summer, as it is usually packed with kids.

Con: The manager seems unable or unwilling to kick out disruptive customers. There is one guy who uses this gym, he appears to have bad OCD or mental issues, and does whatever he wants, ie the rules don't apply to him. Lays down in the sauna, goes to the outside hot tub even when closed, etc.

I personally wrote to and spoke with the manager and she acted concerned, but then acted like she didn’t know who I was talking about, which I strongly doubt.

Too expensive for what they offer. Rates keep increasing, yet very little improves. The kids’ indoor pool has rust everywhere, the locker room tile looks outdated and poorly maintained, and today the indoor/outdoor hot tub was cold. We also tried to schedule a birthday party at the pool, but the coordinator was unresponsive and showed no follow-through.

This gym used to be great when I first joined, but it has declined significantly. Simply redoing the showers won’t be enough to attract or retain members. It’s frustrating to pay more while getting less in return.

Very nice place. Lots of stuff you can do. They have a kids camp and basketball camp, (soccer, etc). They have a nice pool inside, 2 big slides, 4 little slides, and the pool goes up to 4 foot 6 tall. Outside there are two big slides, 1 little slide, a little lazy river basically, and the pool goes up to 6 foot tall. The place has private swimming lessons for kids learning to swim, and it has a spa I’m pretty sure. (I wouldn’t know cause I haven’t payed attention to that before). So very nice place in general.

Edit: I forgot to mention this in the original review but there is also food at the outdoor pool and also at the front.

I actually love this gym and only knocked it down a star because of one employee. If you ever book a party here, pray they hire someone new because Jimmy is the laziest person I have ever worked with. He doesn’t return calls, emails, and gets annoyed if you ask him for follow up information. Honestly, I have no idea how he is still employed. He did absolutely NOTHING. Thankfully, Kristen stepped in and made it effortless. She was amazing. Huge shout out to her and Tanna (sp??). They were professional and courteous. I think everyone that works there for the most part does a great job. But Jimmy is a nightmare to work with. Hopefully they will train him to actually do his job.

Giving 2 stars only because the staff is extremely kind. Even though they've upgraded the equipment, this facility is extremely dirty and unsanitary for the excessive cost of membership. The weights area and some areas upstairs legitimately smell of sewage. There are several sinks in the women's locker room that have been out of service for close to two months. They put buckets out to catch leaks in the roof when it's raining rather than having it fixed. Vents in the women's locker room are caked with dust. The health department really needs to get in here for an audit. I wouldn't be surprised if they find several violations.

The gym charged our account incorrectly. Because of that, we were unable to access the gym or child center with a hold on our account. When we tried to resolve the balance no one we talked to could fix the problem, apparently their system said there was no balance due, but we still could not access the gym. They told us their concierge team would reach out within 24 hours to fix the problem. They never called. Next month they charged us $300 for a gym we could not even use.
They were extremely unwilling to compensate us at all, even though the problem was their system. Overall, awful customer service, terrible experience, and a waste of our money.

Great place to swim with the kids or on your own as an adult. They have adult areas and kid areas. Water slides and a grill outside during the summer. They have a bar in the adult area too. Indoor pools are great when the weather is bad. Workout classes are a great workout. Locker rooms are nice and clean. Recently the bathroom sinks and some bathrooms have been out of service which is annoying. I have done a spa night with my mom and enjoyed it. Massage and pedicure.

Recently joined again, thinking it was worth another shot. It's arguably gotten worse. It's over crowded, not very clean, towels are sparse, got teens in the family showers doing things they shouldn't be, and adults in the normal showers giving themselves a happy ending after a workout. Not sure what's going on here, but it's absolutely revolting.

Needless to say, we haven't been much and are opting to cancel our membership after a month. The joy is we have to pay $80 to cancel the membership. But because we didn't opt to cancel 2 weeks prior, we have another month we have to pay as well...

Now the absolutely cherry on this pie, we should have had a $50 gift card for signing up. We haven't been much nor have we gotten a card, but supposedly the remaining balance is $6 and they can't speak as to why.

There are better cleaner gyms for less money. I would not recommend this place.

My family and I love Villa. We have been coming here for almost 2 years. We are very happy with daycare and staff .
This was a huge selling point for us. I love group classes and all amenities. Villa has so much to offer for entire family.

Huge opportunity is bathroom. Almost always we come in (different times in a day) something is missing. It’s either toilet paper or toilet seat cover, or paper towels. I’m talking multiple stalls if not all. It’s really important to stay on top of that and cleanness. So far this is only opportunity

Otherwise we are happy consumers.

Initially I was impressed with the facility. We bought a 4 pack of swim lessons and had a weekly scheduled time for swim lessons. The first lesson was great, but the next week villa sport had changed the time without consulting us. I was told they would call to get our kiddo back on the schedule, which did not happen. After that, we were taken off the schedule completely and had no communication. After weeks of unreturned phone calls and messages, we had a few successful communications and scheduled a time to start, only to find out that it was never actually rescheduled. It has now been almost 7-8 weeks since that first lesson. We have tried reaching out to the general manager to get our remaining swim lesson credits refunded with no communication back. EXTREMELY disappointed in this entire experience and would caution anyone considering getting swim lessons here.

This place has really gone downhill in the last couple of years. There are always multiple broken machines in the weight room that take weeks or months to repair. Sinks are frequently clogged, and paper towels are often empty. Not to mention the place is not clean. So not worth $100 month anymore. Will be switching gyms as soon as the new Vasa opens. I have been to many gyms in my life, and I have never experienced so much broken equipment.

I love this club. But there's a new group of young girls I'm assuming were hired for the summer , they always group together cuss and give rude looks in womans locker room and clean nothing , just walk back and forth with gossip . And do towels .They don't tend to showers throughout the day, there will be empty soap bottles , leaving drains clogged and hair everywhere and never refill t.p. , also have noticed soap was mixed with the mouth wash on two seperate occasions .. I refuse to use the mouth wash again after mouth full of soap . Also the carpet stains and feet smell coming from the carpet in the womans locker room is getting really really bad, needs a good steam clean . Steam room looks to have never been wiped or sanitized since I have witnessed same stains where people sit and on railing . I know hiring young staff as their starter jobs is a good thing , but seems they don't pay much attention to detail or have customer courtesy. Other than that, the club is amazing. Just need to hire people that pay better attention to the small details that are important .

I’ve been going to Villa consistently for many years. I’ve also worked there in the childcare department and in housekeeping. We went last weekend to the pool with my kids and I was so completely disappointed. Not only was everything very dirty, the bathrooms indoor and outdoor smelled absolutely terrible. There were no towels in the women’s locker room and the food quality outside at the grill has gone way down. The floors inside the pool area were filthy and there was definitely some questionable stuff floating around in the therapy pool.
Knowing what this club looked and felt like when Scott was the manager versus how it is now is a million times different. This place has been my favorite place to have “me time” and I’m so sad that it’s giving YMCA vibes now. For the price we pay monthly, I expect a much higher quality experience.

This place has gone downhill. Rust showing everywhere in the aquatics building. The pool grill is never open during the week. The pool bar is often closed. Forget using the slides during the week. Severely understaffed during the week, and over crowded on the weekends. And the parking lot is a disaster waiting for your car to disappear into a giant crater. I’m convinced it’s one of the worst parking lots in Colorado Springs. They’ve stopped putting money into this place and you can definitely tell.

I've been a member of Villa for about four years now, and when I first joined, the staff was honest and friendly. I chose this gym over Lifetime because it was clean and well-maintained. However, over time, I've noticed some issues. For example, they still haven't fixed the roof, so it leaks when it rains, and it often takes a long time to repair broken equipment.

Additionally, I've been renting a locker for about five months, and my nameplate hasn't been updated. Every month, I’ve asked at the front desk, and they've always told me, "Oh, it will be done very soon."

I’ve tolerated these issues because the staff has been nice, but things took a turn this morning. While I was in my gym clothes doing my usual routine in the sauna, a young staff member reprimanded me for wearing clothes in there. I'm starting to question how much longer I want to continue going to this gym.

However ,I can actually say that today finally women were being asked to take off their shoes and leggings when entering the sauna. right after these two sweet employees left two women walk in with their gym attire on. while here I am in my swim suit and my flip flops. from day one I have watched women come right off the gym floor and walk their dirty teeny shoes right into the sauna. GROSS.
I keep asking is it 6months or 6 years to the employees about the hot tub rules. one said he didn't know. Most every evening there are children under age in the adult hot tub, its 6yrs ..and even that is is too young.
so I soak in piss after a work out. not sure I like this. know I know I don't like this. and this what we are paying for.

Don’t waste your money at this gym! It’s too expensive for what you get, and it’s so outdated! The few changes they do make is minimal, I went to this gym for several years and did enjoy the fact that it doesn’t get too crowded, well during the summer months you can forget a good workout, but that’s because school is out and it’s completely packed with kids, taking up equipment, they sit there forever on their phones when most of them are too young to use the equipment that the staff doesn’t enforce their own rule about no one under 16 is to use the equipment without supervision, but it’s ignored. The equipment is falling apart , and if something breaks it takes weeks for them to fix it, most of the time they just replace some of the equipment because it’s so worn out. I never once got in the jacuzzi because it was always filthy!! The paper towels in the bathrooms were never stocked and always dirty! I could go on, but trust me it’s a waste of time, the owner or the manager will read the reviews but nothing is ever done to make things better. I cancelled my membership a month ago and so glad I did! I’m at the gym down the road , and I have seen several members that use to be at Villa that are now members at the gym I’m at now, so there’s definitely an issue and it’s not just me! The gym I’m at now is always taken care of , if you have enough staff and you don’t hire just teenagers , then you can have an establishment that will function well. So again if you are thinking about this gym, go down the road on powers and there’s a better , cheaper gym with a lot more equipment that is brand new and a staff that handles issues that are brought to them! Villa sport might have been an upscale gym / club at one time, but they definitely aren’t now.

These guys must be too busy and not need any new business. What a great problem to have!
I received a flyer in the mail for a $49 Sign-up Discount, looked pretty good. I went to their website and via live chat, expressed interest in scheduling a tour - was told somebody would reach out to me. Not a peep.
A few days later I called and got VM to schedule a tour - I left a Voicemail. No response, callback etc.
So I waited a week and called AGAIN and left another voicemail. That was 3 days ago - still no reply.

The way you treat your potential customers AND your customers is VERY important. They've lost my business by a clear lack of organization and Customer Facing Support.

I’m moving and won’t be able to access Villa Sport anymore, cancellation requires the member to “Send a certified letter, return receipt requested, to the club address”. Why? If you plan on freezing your account and then cancelling, don’t bother. Freeze dates are applicable 30 days after you’ve submitted your membership freeze request. On top of all that, cancellation is effective 30 days after your cancellation request is received by certified mail. This is straight up predatory.

Let me start off by saying this is the first time I am writing a review. I don’t ever do this but I felt like it was necessary.

My wife, my son, and I have been members at Villasport for almost 3 years. Great facility and solid equipment for training. Recently the aquatics director sold me on some 1 on 1 swimming lessons for my almost 3 year old son. This was such a waste of money and a terrible experience from day 1. First lesson the pool was cold and we weren’t notified so my son had to just “deal” with the cold water. Then another lesson the instructor had a cut on her hand which meant she couldn’t use that hand or put it in the water. Again we were not told about this.

The swim instructors and aquatics director are also very unorganized. When I would call to try and schedule a lesson, it was a mess. The director would tell me times that were not consistent with what the instructor told me. I would have to double check for almost every lesson, making it a very stressful time for me. I would text the instructor Jessica and she would not respond for days. I would have to send another text message to ask if she got my message for her to reply. Also, keep in mind that Jessica was out second swim coach because the first one named Abby was even worse. She wouldn’t even say hello to my son and just hop in water and say “are you ready”? All the instructors and lifeguard seem like incompetent high schoolers. Also, during the lesson, the instructor Jessica would often be unprepared. There was never any plan to the lesson and they would end up just playing with ducks most of the time.

I made a complaint half way through our 8 lessons but nothing was done. So we went on to finish the lesson. On our second to last lesson I asked Jessica to let me know how many we have left. She told me we had 1 more. When we get there for the final lesson she tells me we don’t have another lesson. She doesn’t admit to making a mistake. She said something about it not being in the system. Again like I said, very unorganized. She then offers me a discount for the lesson that I have already paid for. What’s even worse is the aquatics director comes in and doesn’t help at all. She doesn’t approach me or anything. I had to walk into office and tell her how terrible that is. My son and I drove 30 min to the lesson just to be denied. These instructors and the aquatics director are so bad at their job it is crazy how they have it. I am so disappointed in the swimming lessons. 1000% DO NOT Recommend!

Years ago they use to be worth it. We renewed our membership a few months ago and promptly canceled. The locker rooms were dirty, and showers unusable, both literally and figuratively. Some were closed and the open ones were often full of hair and mold. There are several areas that needs to be maintained. For the price, it is not worth it anymore.

This company has been 1 stared before for other reasons.
Among other things, the guest policy is non-existent compared to other gyms.
There are good aspects to this gym as well. The towels are superior, but their service is either a huge hit or a huge miss. Also, the hours could be 1 hour later, and that would help many working folks feel they can leave for the gym around 8 or 830 and still have a comfortable workout.

Thanks for considering.

Great facility, updated equipment, and everyone was cheerful, positive, and exuded great energy (except the front desk guy with black fingernails). Outside hot tub with the fire going was especially nicely done & relaxing with the fire going on in the crisp CO air. Both hot and wet sauna were fabulous. Lots of loud kids splashing around, unattended, was a disappointment, as was the blackish mold around edges of hot tub in women's area. Too much chlorine and some kind of suds in that one burned the eyes. Attendants were quick to acknowledge and kindly say they'd report the mold and burning fumes.

I was a member at villa when they first opened then joined again the summer of 2024. The decline in quality and cleanliness all across the board is very disappointing. Dirty, grimy, dusty, gross. For what people pay to be members here I am shocked that they do not keep better care of the space. This also translates to how the members care for the space as well. The free weights area is a mess people put weights wherever is available and when villa tried adding stickers marking the correct placements of the weights they still have some unmarked places and the stickers are not organized in a way that is beneficial or efficient for members. Also some machines are in need of maintenance so badly. To use them in the state they are in now would cause harm and injury to the body. Like many reviews on here there are young employees who seem to just walk around in circles with each other taking and chatting. Everywhere I look in the gym could have equipment wiped down/cleaned So seeing the two next to each other makes me wonder what on earth they are paid to do if it’s not maintaining the gym. I love that the gym gives teenagers jobs but geez I would
love to see better work ethic. If I could
sum it all up into 1 word it would be: Sloppy.

I also have a planet fitness membership on woodmen because they are open 24 hours which I love. That is the cleanest gym I have ever been a member at and it makes a huge difference on the atmosphere. Members put EVERYTHING back in the right place. Employees are constantly cleaning the bathrooms, locker rooms, and equipment which keeps the gym looking and feeling fantastic. It’s pretty fascinating they can keep their gym clean with members only paying $10-$15a month for memberships and people pay $100+ here and it is no even in the same ballpark when it comes to cleanliness. They are supposed to be different calibers of gyms, yet planet fitness takes the cake on this topic 100%.

Finally,I LOVE THE CLASSES HERE AT VILLA!! The instructors are all fantastic!! The trip class is fantastic as well as body pump and yoga. There are SO many classes to choose from and I have yet to find one that isn’t great and effective at training the way the class is meant to. I think this is a testament to how wonderful the instructors are!! Shout out to Kristin and Heather and Dustin who are my favorites! They also have pickup pickleball on the courts a few times a week which is so fun! That is a great community to be a part of within Villa.

So with all this being said, I hope that this review inspires change within VillaSport. It is a wonderful blessing for many as it has so much to offer for everyone! There is nothing else like it for the price (LT is more $$$). And feel it can recover and become fantastic again given the proper efforts. Please please fix Villa!

We have been members of villa since 2015. The overall quality has declined significantly, especially recently. The locker rooms are dirty, things are not repaired in a timely fashion, the staff is a bunch of teenagers that don’t care about customer service at all, and the equipment is aged and is not being replaced. Today while at the gym, my husband had a significant amount of money stolen from his wallet. The staff was notified once the theft was discovered (about 15 minutes after leaving the gym when he went to purchase gas) and absolutely no offer or promise to replace the lost funds. The money was stolen from a LOCKED LOCKER. This tells me that either the lockers have some type of code that people are aware of to get it open, or an employee got into the locker and stole the money. Needless to say after this final insult, we will be looking for another gym after 10 years of loyalty to this company.

Was a member for not even 4 months. The staff are oblivious at the front desk. They are incapable of providing quality customer service. I felt like I was talking to a wall when I asked questions about billing or general maintenance with their equipment. The kids place hardly ever picks up the phone, God forbid you get stuck in your class a min pass getting your kids otherwise the up charges are insane! The pool is a mess! So much bacteria build up and hand foot mouth disease. There’s been several reports from the community reaching out about the concern. They have teens who are inadequately trained to handle emergency situations at the pool. I saw a child do a front flip and unfortunately injured himself bad. He was bleeding everywhere and the life guard panicked and couldn’t figure out what to do. Quickly the parents around helped and allowed the teen lifeguard to think about getting more help. The facts that people can order a tab by just knowing your name and phone numbers with our proper verification like a code, is beyond me. Racking up bills at the food stand and bar! I had over $200 of extra charges to my bill because someone used my information to order on my tab! I addressed it with the managers and they accused me of lying and basically wouldn’t credit back my account! They’re lack of accountability is ABSURD. And finally they want a blood sample along with your doctors note stating that you can’t use the gym for a freeze otherwise they charge you $15 a month to keep your account while you are on leave or travel. I’ve never had such a monumental and infuriating experience with a business like VillaSport. You’re better off going to a regular gym than this wanna be country club, save your money and time.

I was extremely disappointed with my first (and only) visit to VillaSport. I came in hoping for a quick tour, but the receptionist was deeply engrossed in conversation with two men. Initially, I assumed she was helping them, so I explored the empty membership services area for a few minutes. When I came back, she was still chatting away. Another member entered and was greeted with excitement, yet I stood there entirely ignored. It was obvious she was just hanging out, not assisting anyone. Frustrated and overlooked, I walked out without ever receiving the tour I came for.

We’ve always loved Villa for our family and children, but that has recently changed. I heard stories from several women who experienced a man exposing himself in the women’s locker room. I called to ask about their policy on this and was told that they would and do currently allow biological men in women’s spaces if they identify as such. Girls over the age of 12 are also permitted to use this locker room. For the safety of me and my daughters we will not be joining this gym until the policy changes. I am shocked at Villa’s disregard for women, underage girls, and our safety.

I’ve been going to this gym for years. I really enjoyed how close it is to my house and all the amenities the gym offers. I’m now considering going somewhere else, over the last couple years they have done no maintenance and the place is getting really ran down. Almost all the stuff in the kids pool is broken, I’ve never seen the fireplace outside by the hot tub on once, the equipment is all worn out and the seats are cracked. They don’t update anything or repair things when they are worn out. Their parking lot is like an off road dirt track. It use to be the nicer gym in town and now the places that charge $15 a month have a better maintained place. I hate to not want to go here anymore but I would like to see them maintaining the place especially when there are so many other options out there now

I have been a member for two months.
It's over priced when considering the pros and cons below.

PROS:
• Amenities- great variety to choose from
• Location

CONS:
• TRASH- it's everywhere. When you first walk in, weight room, locker room, shower, pools, you name it. Paper towels, plastic, tissue, wrappers, etc.

• MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING- clogged shower drain, empty soap dispenser, out of wipes in the weight room, dirty around some machines, mirror falling off the wall, etc. It looks like some areas haven't been cleaned since the day they were installed.

• STAFF- I like to think they are playing a game of "don't look at the guest" as they quickly do a lap around the weight room before someone stops them.

• POOLS- I saw a lifeguard guarding a pool that was clearly closed. He sat in the lifeguard stand looking at his phone the whole time I was there. Additionally, I was told when I signed up there were certain times when lifeguards are available to turn on the slides. They refuse to turn them on during the allotted time. I have never seen them on, could be a coincidence but seems like a pattern.

I am already shopping for alternatives. I will cancel regardless if things dont improve soon.

I have been a member of this gym for ten years, in the last few the facilities and customer services have severely declined. I would not recommend wasting your money for the overpriced service they offer. As many other comments mention, the facilities are constantly dirty, the general upkeep and cleaning need serious improvement. The showers are always dirty and have mildew in the grout. Also the amenities consistently close early or are out of service. I have been rudely told on numerous occasions to exit the spa or steam room for the staff to close. When the gym decides to close early they fail to communicate to their members. Recently I walked in at 5pm and was told by a locker room attendant to get out of the shower- like she came and knocked on the door and told me to get out!! —- in order that they may close after only 30 minutes of having been there, not one person at the front desk informed me of the early closure when I entered- that’s just plain rude and poor service!! The spa was just out of service for over a month and the tile replacement has already broken and is unsightly.

On that note, the staff is clearly disgruntled. Which is likely why they have poor customer service. While I think it’s a wonderful perk the staff is allowed to use facilities, they speak poorly about their coworkers and management in front of the members, while they are utilizing the facilities.

Being that the employees are disgruntled and the facilities are falling in disrepair and the customer service is terrible is seems that there is some real issues with management.

I would ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE it is not a family friendly space, nor is it worth the expense.

So far so good. I was a LT team member and member for nearly 6 years and recently quit my job there and cut all ties and joined Villa. My 3 year old seems to enjoy the Villa Kids and I have enjoyed the spin classes immensely. They have everything I need and they don't have an "elitist" atmosphere at all. The people are nice and I don't have any major complaints. It is not as "new" as some other places and some of the machines are dated which is why I have 4 instead of 5 stars.

I love this gym. The only complaint is that their customer service training must not be the best because at times some of the front desk employees seem completely clueless.

They have great group classes, lots of pools, a coed hot tub and then separate women’s/men’s dry sauna, wet sauna, hot tub, locker rooms and showers with all the shampoo and conditioner included - also hair dryers.

It’s less money than I spent at Orange theory for a lot more amenities

CONSIDER LIFETIME
Seriously, closing at 6:00 two nights in a row because of some snow in Colorado. For a point of reference Lifetime Fitness did not close early last night or tonight. We checked. They were baffled and said well we follow Colorado Springs policies. Being run out of pickleball early so that you can close down the rest of your gym and get home on time is really annoying. The roads were not dangerous.

For the cost of this gym, I thought it'd be better maintained. It's not cleaned very well. There are areas throughout that are falling apart, for example, masking tape holding things together in the womens locker room. Toilet paper isn't stocked half the time and areas upstairs that smell like pee. The workout area is crammed together, and machines are randomly placed upstairs with the majority of them downstairs. Dumbells are never racked in order. It's a glorified YMCA.

The only way to know if they're closed for snow days or holiday's, is to show up. They put a letter on the door. They won't answer phones, and it's not posted on their app, website, or Google. It's extremely frustrating when you show up at 5 am because everywhere says they're open.
Aside from that, the pool is nice.

July 29: Needless to say the lack of cleanliness is still an issue here. All that is from wiping off one barbell.

Edit: looking around every barbell and dumbbell is like this, the grips are just caked with sweat, dead skin, and dirt. Utterly disgusting.

Edit: Day 1 after reporting this issue. No change even though the front desk claims house keeping addressed it. However, all the barbells and dumbbells are still disgusting.

The club is fine. Bathrooms have mold because the showers have drywall instead of tile or something that doesn't mold. But the review is really in regards to cancellation. When I’m looking to leave the club I can’t just cancel online or over the phone. They require a written letter asking to cancel by certified mail at your expense, or you have to cancel in the club. In San Jose they have a law requiring they let you cancel online and their clients can. It just strikes me as a disgusting business tactic to trap clients who moved and don’t find the time to write a personal letter, by stamps or drive to a post office. Just insane especially since the company has the capacity to change it but doesn’t on purpose to trap people lol

We joined Villa in March of 2024 excited to be a part of a “club”. Quickly realized we were significantly overpaying for a subpar experience; very small and tight weightlifting area, you’re on top of someone constantly; super busy and constantly had trouble getting access to the equipment; old and poorly maintained equipment and takes them a long time to make repairs; weights are never in the right spot; locker rooms and showers are way too dirty for the amount of staff they have; adult pool never has space and they let people save seats for guests that may not join for hours.

We decided to cancel and go to a commercial gym that’s 25% of the cost and less busy. They hit us with an $85 charge for not being members for 12 months, and we gave them 15 days notice but they require 30 so they will be charging us a total of $235 to cancel. Overall poor experience and not worth the money.

So if I arrive at 8pm, I’ll have 20 minutes of that being that they shut everything down well in advance. If equipment isn’t gonna work, a pool will be shut down. Are they capable of communicating? Sure do they never. Consistently waste your time management the pools filthy staff has nothing but rude attitudes. Parents don’t manage their children here so kids are just running around with their trash everywhere. Not understanding what exactly were paying for cause if I wanted someone to be rude to me and to close before the hours go somewhere like planet fitness where I’m paying $10, not hundreds. Do they even ever have management here? You wouldn’t tell based somehow things are ran. This place is a joke.

(July 2024) Shower situation is not good. There is no conditioner in any shower for days. In some showers, bottles are missing. Sometimes there is a mouthwash bottle in the shower that identifies as body wash, or there can be two "conditioner" where one is actually shampoo. I understand not being able to get their regular supplies, but as a temporary measure, why not make a trip to Sam's Club or Costco and grab conditioner off the shelf?
(updated 2023) I have have been going with my family for about 15 years. VillaSport has great classes (Les Mills), clean facilities, good pools, and friendly staff. They frequently maintain the facilities and change out the exercise equipment. I do not like waiting for exercise equipment or for family showers, and these have been issues. Lately it's been easier to find a barbell. I wish the prices were lower and that they had a tennis court. Otherwise, the most frustrating thing is the class registration system. I signed up for classes that had 10 extra spots in the app, but when I show up, there's physically no room available.

Called numerous times, not one answer. Voice mail isn't set up or something as the automated service just says it isn't there. Any time you try to reach anyone you get crickets. Called at 8 am then again at 830 am on 13 June.

A gym isn't worth going to if it isn't at the very least manned.

If you cancel your membership, make sure you take a photo of your cancellation confirmation, then remove your payment information. They charged my monthly payment 2 times due to “computer errors” and had no documentation of me canceling my membership.

The club is the filthiest I have ever seen. I was so disappointed, the locker room, showers, hot tub.. all of it. Used to be so clean. Makes justifying the almost $200 a month membership difficult.

Decent gym. The gomers in the ratings freaking out over some made up post on Facebook really need to seek help. The facility is fine. Not perfect, because people can't always be respectful of cleaning up or etiquette on equipment and pools, but it is still a good gym. The staff is usually nice. Don't believe the nutsos from Facebook, that event stinks of made up nonsense. Enjoy the facility.

Getting memberships is getting a harder with gyms adding more fines. I tried to join this gym for a couple months but they would fine me.

I’ve been a member for years, and simply stay because it’s cheaper than lifetime but Things are always broken and it seems to take forever to get equipment fixed. They just re-did the carpet upstairs. I’d much rather have fixed equipment than new carpet.

Decent for the price and amenities. Could be a little cleaner, but sauna and spacious locker rooms are nice! Staff is super friendly and accessible too

Membership cost is a bit high, but facilities are well maintained, there are many options of exercise equipment to use, and the variety and quality of the classes offered is fantastic. There are also nice amenities like towels, lockers, showers, Jacuzzis, Saunas, and Steam Rooms for use.

There are limitations with the functionality and synchronization of the mobile app, but hoping that improvements are in the works.

We had a terrible experience with lack of response from the aquatics department and prepaid swim lessons for the kiddos, and eventually got it escalated high enough to just get a refund (still would have preferred to get swim lessons 😕).

Update: we received a message apologizing for the lack of response from aquatics and will try again this summer to get the swim lessons done. Another update will follow with the outcome when we get to summer 2023.

2nd Update: summer 2023 ended up being too difficult to schedule due to limited availability, so we got a full refund and just went to the YMCA for lessons instead.

Hot tub is steam sauna are very dirty.

Accounting department is non responsive. I’ve inquired many times about a credit that I was supposed to receive when I signed up. I’ve spoken to front desk 5 times and sent a couple of emails. Egan, the manager is rarely available.

7 months later there is still no action. I also had several issues with billing (over charges) the first 3 months that took many weeks to get resolved.

Classes are typically full as well.

Personal training is over priced but I did buy 3 sessions and the trainer Luis was great!

Lifetime isn’t that much more per month. I recommend trying both before you commit to Villa.
