I’ve been working out at Vitruvian for just over a year. The workouts challenge you as you connect, reconnect with your inner athlete. The trainers (I mostly know Mark) are there to guide you, and help make it an enjoyable workout as well. I personally appreciate that they have been working with me since I have had a setback with a knee injury. Bonus: you never leave regretting you worked out at Vitruvian!

Over the past 30 years I have struggled with a back and neck and hip injuries sustained in the military--I tried everything I could to keep my body healthy but nothing seemed to work--I was operating daily with extreme pain that often left me unable to stand or get out of bed. My quality of life was terrible and unsustainable.
I started slowly with Vitruvian, followed their regimen, allowed myself to be ok with slow and sustained stretching and movement, then slowly built up to reasonable exercise that they are careful to never allow to become an issue or cause injury. I will never be fully functional or without pain, but instead of a 4-10 on the pain scale (daily) I now am able to do much more than ever and rarely skid into the 2 or 3 or 4 on the pain scale. My life is changed.
The trainers and facilities at Vitruvian are incredible and they all care deeply about your whole-body health, not just about hard workouts; they focus on proper movement and have helped me progress from hardly able to do anything because of pain and injuries to a place where my flexibility and strength have stabilized my core and I rarely have problems standing or getting out of bed or any of the things that I had come to expect as 'normal' in my life.

It's not an ordinary gym. It's is a gym that offers a calculated and evidence based approach in helping you to become fit and healthy. It's an experience to gain knowledge and insight to lifting properly in many forms to translate to daily living. It doesn't matter your age, your fitness level, body shape, or experience. They are there to guide you through the way. I feel stronger , more confident, leaner, better eating habits, better sleeping, able to perform better outside of the gym, and the list can go on with the improvements I have seen the last year. I started with Vitruvian early in my pregnancy with my son. They were able to guide me through safe and effective workouts until my son was born. Had I not had their guidance my post-partum healing would have looked a lot different. I was able to return after the birth of my son and continue to benefit from their skill as I healed from a C-section surgery. I LOVE my Vitruvian community! I train with Mark 3x/week and I've come to know everyone that comes in by name -- many folks becoming lasting personal friends outside the gym.
I originally tried Vitruvian because I never found results (or consistency) with big box gym memberships and I was tired of HITT style workouts that felt crowded, loud and rushed. I also have some chronic hip/back issues that I needed to be cautious with. Mark has been an awesome partner in creating workouts that work for me and he's totally open to making adjustments/getting creative when necessary.
If you're looking for a welcoming, fun and EFFECTIVE place to workout - Vitruvian is the place. Plus, you can count on me for endless dad jokes and on Mark for sweet dance moves. I am coming up on my 2 year anniversary and I can't imagine going anywhere else, I'm stronger than I've ever been and Vitruvian has become a fixture in my life.

Have been going here for about 6 weeks now, and this is a very unique concept and a great gym! I had worked one-on-one with a trainer previously, and wasn't sure I would get the same level of attention with 5 people and one trainer. My questions are always answered, and there is a serious focus on form, which I appreciate. You won't be able to slack off at all here. It's the best of both worlds--personal training at an affordable price. You can also schedule your workouts at different times, and change up to 12 hours in advance. Very convenient. The workouts are changed up frequently, and are tailored for the level of the individual. If you are on the fence, give Vitruvian a try!

I can't say enough about Tom and the team at Vitruvian Fitness. I joined about 18 months ago and he, along with Mark, Kaly and Stephen have been a lifeline through my recovery from breast cancer surgeries and treatment. At every workout they have pushed just enough and supported me when I didn't think I could do it on my own. There were days when I crawled in and floated out. There is a kindness, a community and friendship offered at Vitruvian that I have never seen in a gym before, (and I used to own one myself!). The whole team offers a wealth of knowledge that surpasses anyones expectations and caters every workout to what the individual needs. I am stronger that I was before treatment and I am able to deal with the challenges in my day to day life as a dog trainer and Dog Agility competitor with far fewer injuries than before.

Tom, who runs the gym, is a joy to interact with and learn from; he somehow has made going to the gym fun for me; yes fun, for me; that is something I never thought I'd ever say. Kaly is a fantastic trainer, able to guide you in learning technique and building strength; she has helped me recognize multiple muscle groups I never even knew existed. I started going to Vitruvian because my knees were hurting alot and getting in the way of my soccer playing. Now, almost a year later, no knee pain and I am overall so much stronger and "athletic" feeling. I really appreciate the trainers' ability to figure out when to push and when to let me figure stuff out. And, it's pretty uncanny how my specific workouts (these are personalized according to your training goals) are helping me improve and progress. I had some trepidation in the beginning, but the environment is not intimidating -- most days, I'd say it's even fun!

After chronic knee pain for the last 6 years, I decided to give the gym another shot in combination with PT to try and get some relief. Tom has been amazing with producing exercises and modifications to get my legs (and whole body) stronger without experiencing pain. Both Tom and Kaly are great motivators and always help brighten up my morning (and I am NOT a morning person). The schedule and location are great and the small group sizes are exactly what I had hoped for. If you're on the fence, go ahead and take that chance on the trial membership, it's the best thing I've done for myself all year.

After years of struggling to work out due to chronic pain and migraines, I knew I had to do something and signed up for the 30 day trial, totally skeptical. They tailored a plan taking into account all of my concerns, and have been carefully tracking my progress, even checking up on me after workouts to see how things went and re-tailoring my plan based on how things were going. Within two months, my general pain is now down to zero, and my migraines have been reduced significantly because I am able to move and stretch and actually work out, and even run! I can't recommend them enough, and now I look forward to working out, which has NEVER been true. The level of customized service and care is above and beyond my expectations. I am very quad and calf dominant due to cycling and running. I joined Vitruvian to work on my posterior chain to help with AT skiing. Four months in, and the results have been phenomenal. Not only do I have more power going uphill, I have noticed simple every day tasks, such as getting out of the chair and standing, are so much easier. I recommend this for anyone who wants to improve general athletic performance, and especially for athletes who like to go uphill!

The facility is tidy, clean, well ventilated and well equipped to support a program of functional balance and strength exercise that will prepare your body for whatever movement makes you smile.

I couldn’t be happier with my choice to start training at Vitruvian. I’m about a month into my program and I already feel the difference. The trainers are so friendly and helpful and they cater your workout to you and your specific circumstances. I am a mom of two little ones so it can be tricky to find the time to workout but Vitruvian has a great schedule with early morning workouts that fit my needs. In the past I was always hesitant to try a personal trainer because a lot of places were intimidating but the atmosphere here is warm and inviting! I highly recommend giving it a try!

LOOOOVE this place! Hesitated on joining for a while because I thought it was going to be a CrossFit gym that would be all about heavy weights and blowing out my shoulders. NOOOPE! Pros:
---Staff are very friendly and educated. They cheer you on here.
---Facility is clean and well maintained.
----Clean air ->There is NO gym smell or people smell. You know, that smell when gyms cram people together
---You do hit PRs here. Last month I deadlifted my own bodyweight, and after months of work today I hit a plank PR that really showed how far Ive come. Very exciting.
---The trainers are there for you but aren't in your face for the whole hour. I prefer this, I prefer to count my own sets.
---You feel welcome and are held accountable; supportive atmosphere
---The workouts are hard but not "throw-up" hard; and they teach you how to listen to your body so you can adjust the difficulty
Cons - I wish they were open late on Friday. Sometimes I like a Friday night gym session.
In the past I've done a few 24hr fitness gyms, crossfit, and a personal trainer and I really like the tempo/atmosphere here at Vitruvian!

5 stars after 4 years - Way overdue review. The best training studio I've found and stayed with longer than any place I've ever worked out at. Customized workouts and classes that help you reach your goals, not shoe-horn you into a generic plan. I can't say enough about this place and how awesome it is! The workouts, the space, the people and most importantly Tom and his team of trainers! They are not your typical corporate gym as they actually care about you as a person and your journey to become the best version of yourself both mentally and physically. They get to know personally and work with your individual goals and support you every step of the way. One thing that really stands out to me about this gym is their flexibility which is lacking from so many other places (rigid rules and contracts that don't work in real life). Things come up and Tom is more than willing to help with a solution focused attitude. I also like that the gym uses a functional movement approach where you spend time stretching and warming up your body and mind before working out. The gym also provides challenges to keep you motivated and organizes community functions to help others in need. This place has it all and you should check it out to see for yourself. I'm not a gym person but I do love my workouts at Vitruvian Fitness because of the people. I love the assessment, setting goals, and the gentle "coaching" to keep improving without feeling like I'm actually working harder at it. For those who live in the Highlands neighborhood of Denver, this location in Wheat Ridge is a quick drive away (about the amount of time you might spend looking for parking to workout in the Highlands).

I signed up for the 30-day trial membership and loved it! The 30-day trial is awesome because you get the attention of semi-private training sessions with some excellent trainers and group classes too. On your first day there Tom sits down with you to see what your goals are for coming to the gym. Then, he goes through several exercises to see what your range of motion is with certain body parts. After that, you are free to sign up for any class your heart desires for the month! I did a bunch of semi-private training sessions with Tom and Niki and then moved on to doing some of their group classes they offer. The group classes I attended were Functional X and the TRX Suspension Training (they also have spin classes on certain days and yoga on Sundays). Both of which kicked my butt!! The workouts in the group classes are always different day to day so you don't have to worry about being bored or plateauing. I loved it so much that I am now a full-time member and will continue to work on being better looking and more interesting at parties!!! Thank you Vitruvian Fitness.

Virtruvian is an amazing gym! As a sports chiropractor I am constantly looking for somewhere with knowledgeable trainers to send my patients to for a well rounded workout plan that will get them moving, get them strong, and get them back to what they love. This gym provides exactly that. Starting at the basics and building fundamental strength and stability and working up to complex and fun workouts. Tom, Nikki, and Mark are fantastic. I’ve gotten so many calorie-burn PRs here, my smart watch probably thinks I’m cheating. All the classes are amazing: spin, Func X (shoutout to the 6 am crew!), TRX...all great workouts with great instructors. You will feel supported, challenged, and welcomed, no matter your experience level.
On top of that, it’s a locally owned business where community engagement is not just a publicity stunt. These folks care about their neighborhood, and give back with personal care item drives, classes in the park, and group bike rides.
I love *almost* everything about Vitruvian: I do miss my more regular yoga practice, but don’t miss the precious yoga studio vibes. Yoga at home it is! Small price to pay. I’ve never felt better than I have since joining Vitruvian.

Vitruvian Fitness is awesome! I have mainly worked with Christie, Mark and Tom - they are great to work with. Super motivational, cool people to be around. If you are a beginner - no problem. They are understanding about how far along you are in your fitness goals, and work with you at a pace that is best for you. I started with the 14 day trial to see what it'd be like, and was very impressed.

At Vitruvian you get more than just someone taking your money, yelling at you to do things, and then forgeting about you. Every workout is made to fit the individual not to mention the trainers will always find a way to motivate you to work harder and get what YOU need. I love the people that come here. I found Vitruvian Fitness through a Live Local Wheat Ridge event and I am so incredibly grateful I did! I have had a membership at 24 Hour Fitness since 2010, and have tried out many “boutique” gyms throughout that time. But each was either too easy or too expensive, or too crowded, or too boring.
Vitruvian Fitness has truly won my business for the following reasons:
1. It is locally owned and the owner rocks. He was calling us by name by the 2nd time we showed up and he truly is committed to helping his customers achieve their fitness goals. And he has done a great job of hiring instructors that clearly also have a genuine interest in the success of customers. This makes for a great environment to really challenge yourself.
2. The classes are exactly what I need, and the instructors are incredible! I get bored easy, and have been working out regularly the majority of my 33 year long life, so it’s not easy to find classes that both keep my interest and challenge me. But I can honestly say I have not yet attended a single class (I’ve gone to 10 now) where we did the same sequence of exercises, and I didn’t leave feeling the burn. Mark Micucci does a particularly amazing job of putting together unique, mentally stimulating, and challenging routines. I’ve also been really impresses with how consistently the instructors check and correct form for each exercise throughout each circuit. It really is quite impressive!!!
3. Classes are fairly priced and affordable. If you ask me – and again – I’ve been around the block – Vitruvian Fitness offers the best value out there. I think it is completely reasonable to pay $9.00 to go to a class, especially given the small class size (most class sizes ranged from 4-8 people - 10 is the biggest class I attended and I think there is a cap of 12 per class), state of the art equipment, and quality of instruction.
Needless to say, I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere else anytime soon!

I always get an amazing workout at Vitruvian. The classes are fun, the instructors actually pay attention to you and your form, and it is never boring. I feel so strong and energized after a workout- even at 6am! The fact that I can schedule my classes in advance keeps me accountable to myself and goals, and making excuses to skip a workout isn't even an option. Love it!

I've been a happy client at Vitruvian for more than 4 years. I started here with personal training which got me in great shape for my wedding. Their Bootcamp, Indoor Cycling and TRX classes have kept me coming back. The workouts are as hard as you want to make them, but they are always fun (at least when you're finished!). Working out at Vitruvian has made me stronger than I ever expected, and I've overcome some chronic/reoccurring issues through personalized strength training. I'm now coming back from a surgery and physical therapy, and excited to get back into shape with the help of Vitruvian's personal training over the next few months.
I need a class structure to get a good workout - I can't do it alone at a gym. All the instructors/trainers at Vitruvian kick your butt while making sure you are keeping perfect form. They are all about form and proper technique, which not only makes for a more efficient workout, but also prevents injury. I've never injured myself while working out here.
The yoga classes are geared towards fitness. I'm not "into yoga" but I really enjoy these. The Bootcamps (now "Functional Training") and TRX classes push you and typically get your cardio and strength training in one. I'm looking forward to trying the new Kettlebell class soon.
The Indoor Cycling program is absolutely top notch and is great for recreational riders and racers alike. Tom, Julia and all the instructors "keep it real," meaning this is NOT aerobics-on-a-bike and everything you do in class is realistic for a road ride. They have a solid winter training program to get ready for spring and summer riding. The program uses Lactate Threshold testing to track your exertion and progress, so for each class (whatever combo of base building, climbing, or all-out grab-a-bucket sprinting) you know exactly how hard you should push, how hard you actually are working, and when to recover. In the warmer months, Vitruvian offers outside road rides just for fun or for their team training for the Triple Bypass or Copper Triangle (or others rides).
I could keep going, but best to check it out yourself. It's a great experience all around, and a welcoming and social atmosphere.
PS. Their NEW space in Wheat Ridge is awesome. Plenty of room to swing Kettlebells, a roomy bike room, high end equipment, EASY PARKING right out front, and a shower!

I've been working out at Vitruvian Fitness for about 5 years and could not be happier with the results! I always feel challenged by my workouts and am stronger than I've even been. The trainers are excellent coaches, providing encouragement and support and ensuring that you move safely and correctly to avoid injury.
Vitruvian offers group exercise classes (strength/conditioning, spin, TRX, kettlebell, sometimes yoga), personal training, and nutrition counseling. There are clients of all ages and abilities, including clients who are working to restore strength and movement after an injury or surgery.
While the studio is no longer in the Highlands (it used to be at 32nd and Tejon), it's still owned by a Highlands family, Tom and Amy Wigginton. The spacious new location at 44th and Wadsworth is not that far from our neighborhood and there's plenty of parking!
There are several options for "trying out" Vitruvian, including a 2 week plan that offers a consultation and functional movement screen, personal training and group classes--could make a great gift or help jump start your New Year's resolutions.
In addition to excellent workouts, the community of trainers and clients at Vitruvian is welcoming, supportive and friendly!
